Service was forced, or he was having a really bad day. Food was good and it's a nice enough looking place. When trying to pay by card their machine malfunctioned and the blame was put on me, even threatening with the police. When I responded that I would welcome police intervention they said I could pay by transferring the money. I transferred my payment with online banking in front of the manager where she also saw my account status. It was a very unpleasant experience to be blamed for their inability and lack of service or experience to find an amicable solution straight away. For that reason I will not return.

We have enjoyed coming to this restaurant for years. Were very very disappointed for the first time in years. Unfortunately the quality wasn't what it was before. We think that there was a change of ownership and that this has something to do with it. Very unfortunate. The taste was not as usual. Fries also changed like from the oven at home.

Food wasn't charged from the lunch menu, so it was way too expensive, even though the waitress saw exactly what my best friend and I wanted to eat on the menu. The dishes were from the lunch menu. We paid about 72 euros, which was too much

I was a satisfied guest in your restaurant for many years, but unfortunately on my last visit I realized that the quality no longer corresponds to what I was used to. When I visited on Saturday the meat was very dry. And another fly came out of the food. The waitress picked it out with her fingernail. All in all a very bad experience and I definitely won't come back. The health department should definitely stop by here.

To be honest, I can't understand the many positive reviews. You don't have to be an expert to recognize the poor quality of the food. I only give the 2 stars out of politeness. The prices are completely exorbitant - neither the service, the location nor the quality of the food justify these costs. A rump steak with onions, fries and salad costs €35, while another dish with rump steak, gyros, cutlet, fries, rice and salad costs just €28. This pricing seems arbitrary. The food was served cold. The fries seemed warmed up, probably just thrown in the microwave. The rice was completely tasteless. The salad seemed stale and had obviously been prepared hours ago. It came to the table within a minute. The sauces had no taste and the soft drinks were stale. The ouzo served was also of poor quality. The service was fine, but overall the visit was a big disappointment. €105 for three people – it was definitely not worth it. Once and never again.

Hello guys, I was there with my family and ordered a lot. Only the Saranaki Feta was freshly prepared. The fish we ordered was warmed up and definitely not freshly prepared, and the salad already had brown corners. Everything was still cold inside, so this couldn't have been freshly prepared. The service person was very unfriendly and simply ignored the suggestion that the food wasn't warm and was cold on the inside. The worst restaurant we have ever eaten in. There wasn't even an apology for the bad food. The restaurant should be ashamed! Since I was there with my children, I didn't want to have any discussions with the employees there. It's a shame that a restaurant like this can exist. This matter will also be reported to the health department. If I want to eat something warmed up, I buy a frozen pizza or a can of ravioli from the supermarket. Never again, that was really the last!

Griechische Qualität in Deutschland stellt man sich anders vor. Nicht nur die Pommes sind fett durchzogen, das Fleisch auch. Der Spieß (Souflaki) mehr gekocht als gegrillt und fast ungenießbar. Die Kellnerin weiß, warum es den Ouzo Mix auf Kosten des Hauses gibt… Quantität ok- Preis für das gebotene zu hoch! Ambiente in Stadtlage will bezahlt sein… Wiederholung ausgeschlossen.

We ordered a Delphi platter for two and left the restaurant feeling full and satisfied. We actually couldn't find anything wrong with the dish as the vegetables and meat tasted good. The fries and the Campari we ordered also tasted good. Apart from the annoying wasps flying around, the visit there was pleasant because the tables outside were well spaced so that everyone had their own privacy. The staff was also friendly, but we had to wait a little longer until someone came to the table, for example to order something or pay. Parking was available in the underground car park next door.

Although we still ate it, I wished that they had at least given us a small discount of 5 euros on the bill as a gesture of courtesy. This would have been a nice act of customer service. For these reasons, I feel compelled to forego further visits for the time being. However, I really hope that you can learn from this experience and improve in the future.

A nice Greek restaurant, the gyro is nice and the service is phenomenal.

We went there twice for lunch with our friends. This time my meal, 'Gyros in Metaxa sauce gratinated with cheese' was totally over salted! My husband felt the same way after tasting it. I couldn't even finish half of it. After complaining to the waitress, NOTHING happened!!! There wasn't even a discount! Otherwise it is pleasant there. There is a large salad plate, a small piece of cake and the usual Greek schaps - free of charge! The furniture is already a bit worn! Next time I'll eat something different!

Once one of the best Greeks in the city. Today even 1 star is too many. Grilled peppers were hard and inedible after a complaint and new ones were brought, but they were no better. Souvlaki dry, gyros soaked in fat. Bifteki frozen goods and salad from the pack. We're not coming anymore.

I was very disappointed with my visit to this restaurant. The food was incredibly dry and had no taste at all. It was really hard to find anything enjoyable. Added to this were the unfriendly waiters who obviously had no desire to take care of the guests. All in all a very bad experience. I definitely won't be coming back.

Our visit to Dionysos: there was a foam plastic blanket on the table (outside), the menagerie on it hadn't been cleaned for weeks, the service was friendly, the salad (came quickly) had clear signs of storage that the unloving gossip was supposed to cover up with salad marinade, the salad plate hadn't been washed clean Food: Ouzo platter and gratinated gyros came quickly, the fries were soaked in oil and cold, the Suzuki was burnt on the outside and not cooked on the inside, just warm, the gyros on the plate were just two tablespoons large, greasy. The first complaint about the ouzo plate goes back with a reference to the undercooked Suzuki and the cold fries, then the request for fresh fries to go with the gyros, shortly afterwards the same fries come back, now even oilier. The gyros gratinated in a steel bowl, the sauce burned on the inside on the edge. The gyros was warm on the edge and cold in the middle. The second meal goes back and they ask for the bill with the note that the chef should decide. No reaction from the kitchen, only the waitress, who isn't really up to the situation, lets us leave without paying. Not a word of apology, no further questions. We then ate a currywurst with fries around the corner, which tasted wonderfully good. Dionysus probably won't see it again and we warn our circle of friends not to visit.

The food wasn't my cup of tea, quality, typical country spices and somehow a lack of love in the preparation of the food. Service was good. When it comes to the ambience, point deduction for the dirty flowers. Water in the vases was definitely left for longer. I'm talking about my experiences that day.

Top price-performance ratio, highly recommended

Wir waren gestern dort. Früher waren wir sehr gerne dort essen. Mittlerweile ist es einfach überteuert, alt, alte Möbel, pappige Getränkekarten auf dem Tisch. Der Salat war eine Frechheit ( braun und alt). Wir haben den ganzen Tag nachher ein Übel Aufstoßen und Magenkrämpfe… nie wieder…..

Oven roasted Lamb (#40 Arni Giouvesti) was delicious. I don’t know why people aren’t lined up to have this. The lamb was flavourful as was the tomato sauce that it was cooked in and the feta on top put it there. On top.

We are visiting from the States and enjoyed our first visit so thoroughly, we returned a few nights later with German friends. Our server was extremely kind and helpful, as was the entire staff. And the food was outstanding

For a starter I ordered grilled pepperoni, which was delicious. However, the price of €10.80 is steep. For the main course I ordered a sirloin skewer with metaxa sauce and fries, €25.80. The fries were warm and tasteless. The meat should have been more tender for sirloin. The taste with the sauce was ok, nothing special. The side salad is not worth mentioning. The service was good until we ordered, there were 8 of us. After that you hardly saw the service anymore. Conclusion: too expensive.

I have ordered here more and more often. At the beginning everything was fine, but now it was no longer bearable. The gyros are dry and hard, the fries are cold and soggy. Prices have been rising drastically for years (not just since the VAT increase). Selten so schlecht gegessen und so schlecht bedient worden. Die Kellnerin schaute einen nicht einmal an bei der Bestellung und beim Servieren. Das Essen war viel zu sehr gewürzt, der Reis völlig verkocht. Die Pommes waren zäh, das Tsatsiki komplett daneben … und nicht einmal der Ouzo war passend temperiert!

Decent Greek restaurant with huge portions of food. A bit on the expensive side.

Beer was more expensive than on the menu. Two of the four ouzos invited were on the bill. Food was on the table quickly but had no taste.

Many restaurants change over the years. We were there again last night after a long break. Sorry, but the next break will be even longer. Service and service was top. The ambience and also the chairs need to be renovated. Unfortunately, since the last steep adjustment, the quality of the food no longer matches the price. The food was never the best but it was solid value for money.

The food was so average. Not really bad, but not a revelation either. The portions are large. The zucchini and eggplant on the starter plate were extremely fatty and unfortunately completely unseasoned. The side salad was relatively carelessly prepared with a really bad mayonnaise sauce, without any real creativity. The main course (special plate) was plentiful, with a lot of meat, but little specific taste of the different types of meat. The atmosphere is really nice. We sat upstairs. There was enough space and although the place was well filled (but not full), it wasn't overly loud. But what struck us most was the service. We were 6 people. One of 2 vegetarian dishes was not available. The AMEX credit card shown at the door was not accepted. During the starter the salad came and then immediately the main course. Without asking if you would like to take a short break. However, the table was not cleared and the plates were only taken away after being asked so that the main course could be put down properly. The request for a napkin was accepted but not fulfilled. Upon request, the menu for the dessert was brought to us and from then on we didn't see the waitress again. So no chance of ordering dessert or espresso. Rather, the waitress had made herself comfortable in the other corner of the restaurant with another guest or acquaintance and ignored the few remaining guests. This type of service is unacceptable in a place that wasn't really busy. The resulting lack of a tip was then paid back to us with the appropriate facial expressions from the service staff. Conclusion: What a shame. Much more could be done with this situation. The quality of the food is likely to increase given the prices quoted. And there is an urgent need to work on training and hiring service personnel. We paid a total of almost €300 for three starters and six main courses. That's what you like to do when the quality and service are right. In this case there was a clear deviation.

I'm really sorry to write such a review, even as a Greek, but the food was a complete disaster and I would rather have thrown my money in the trash can. Metaxa sauce has nothing to do with what we were served, the meat was burnt and raw in a few places inside, the fries were burnt. The ouzo we got was warm, so I wonder if the owner is Greek. You could chill the ouzo and add the glasses. Unfortunately you have to give a star otherwise I wouldn't give one

Became more expensive after the renovation. The side salad used to be much better. The food (Creta plates) was plentiful and we enjoyed it. We were there for lunch and had a nice window seat. I think when we're in the city, we'll definitely eat there again... Gyros, that was really delicious.

The food was dry and the calamari tasted like rubber you could hardly chew it!!! There were also soggy frozen vegetables and a dollop of overly seasoned mashed potatoes. We also ordered a Delphi platter for 2 and the meat was tough but juicy and somewhat okay. The salad was brown and the waitress slapped it onto a plate and poured the sauce over it. The staff was quite nice but over time they seemed very stressed and annoyed. The prices for such results are too high! The tzatziki was tasteless. We then ordered a chocolate cake and even that was very dry. You can definitely expect more from such a well-rated Greek restaurant! Not recommendable.

Unfortunately the food didn't taste that good. The meat (lamb platter + fish platter both for 2 people) was good but the rice with it had no taste and was cold. The imperial vegetables were cold without a sauce and didn't go well with the lamb or fish platter. Grilled vegetables (peppers, zucchini, eggplant...) would have been more appropriate. Luckily the children got fries with it. Unfortunately, clearing up after dinner didn't work either. Hot raspberries with ice cream as a dessert disaster, no trace of hot and raspberries. It was ready-made sauce. We actually know it like this and an ouzo is offered at the end. That wasn't the case here either. Definitely not again

The food was quick, delicious and there was a lot of it, so you'll feel full. Eaten classic gyros. Dogs are allowed in.

Best Greek food that we have eaten in Mannheim (and many other places) so far! We had several warm starters, various grilled dishes and classic gyros. Everything was super fresh and totally delicious, perfectly seasoned and the meat was buttery tender. The gyros in particular were amazing! We have never had gyros so low in fat, juicy, pink and tender anywhere. The waitresses were super friendly, the furnishings were great and at €170 for 6 people the price was also right. Clear recommendation!

The food was thrown at you, then it was cold and no longer fresh. The tzatziki is so heavy in the stomach from the garlic. The salad was already a mess... after my husband told the waitress that, it also became soggy. Can't handle criticism. No, I'm sorry, we can't bring another espresso on the house. Die Sitzbank alt, das Kunstleder löst sich auf. Bedienung eingebildet und schlecht gelaunt. Das Fleisch kalt und wenig davon, der Salat an den Rädern braun, anscheinend liegt er schon ewig. Die Bedienung fragte wie es schmeckte, ich sagte es war nicht gut, kalt und der Salat war alt, das interessierte sie aber überhaupt nicht. Früher war es ein Gutes Restaurant, wir waren öfter dort, aber ab dieser Enttäuschung heute werden wir garantiert nicht noch einmal kommen. Da gibt es um Welten bessere griechische Restaurants. Früher war es ein schönes Restaurant mit guten Essen, heute leider nicht mehr. An der Sitzbank löst sich das Kunstleder, das gehört schon länger erneuert. Das Essen geht so, es ist nichts besonderes. Wir hatten die Platte für zwei Personen bestellt, eine Ananas mit kleiner Flamme drauf soll da anscheinend der Wow Effekt sein, der Rest lieblos auf einer alten Edelstahlplatte wie in einer Kantine draufgeknallt. Darunter zwei Kerzen, eine davon war am aussterben und die andere war aus, ein Stück Fleisch lauwarm gegessen und den Rest für meinen Hund einpacken lassen, ungenießbar kalt. Der Hammer war ja noch davor der Salat, altes Zeug das anscheinend nur gelagert wird, an den Rändern braun. Als die Bedienung mich gefragt hat ob alles okay war, da sagte ich ihr das der Salat nicht frisch war und das Fleisch kalt, sie hat es aber überhaupt nicht interessiert. Ist einfach mit dem Teller weg gegangen. Ich habe bezahlt und wir sind gegangen. Definitiv war das das letzte Mal das wir dort gegessen haben. Nie mehr.

Ich habe schon Mitte November für den 24. Dezember 23 einen Tisch bestellt. Abends 18 Uhr. Wir kommen hin und stehen dumm davor, da geschlossen war. Warum hab ich dann explizit für Weihnachten 🎄 einen Tisch bestellt. Uns sehen die garantiert nicht mehr. Sowas geht einfach nicht

Wir waren gestern Nach längerer Zeit wieder dort Und sind mehr als enttäuscht über den Geschmack des Essens und der Freundlichkeit und Motivation der Mitarbeiter. Wir hatten Bifteki Und Moussaka Auflauf. Beide Gerichte waren geschmacklos und der Auflauf roch unappetitlich und ging zurück. Die Küche scheint mit den ganzen Weihnachtsfeiern überlastet und das Personal überfordert und lustlos zu sein. Wir können dies leider nicht mehr weiterempfehlen.

Essen gut aber sehr teuer (21€ im schnitt pro Person ohne Getränke)und es gibt nicht einmal einen Ouzo dazu. Sehr enttäuschend 😞

Leider hat sich die Rezeptur verändert (anderer Koch) vermisste die kleingehackten Knoblauchstückchen. Dafür fette Knoblauchmayonaise (Tunke), die die Vorspeise (gegrillte Pepetoni) auch optisch nicht gut machte. Hauptspeise Grillpfännchen mit Metaxasoße viel zu viel Käse (fett)...

Alles lecker und sehr nettes Personal. Als Vorspeise gab es gegrillte Peperoni, sehr lecker 🤗. Das überbackene Gyros war ebenfalls Top.Beilagensalat Kraut, Karotte und grüner Blattsalat mit einem leckeren Dressing. Die Pommes schön kross und die Kugel Paprikareis ein Gedicht. Gerne wieder 😊👍👌

Das ist die letzte Rezension, die ich über Restaurants schreibe! War in der letzten Woche zweimal in Mannheim essen, zweimal enttäuscht worden. Früher ist man einfach nicht mehr hingegangen. Hier 3 Mal Mittagstisch bestellt. Der Vorspeisen Salat hatte schon Raender. Die Hauptspeise war ein Fleischgericht, nichts Besonderes! Keiner war zufrieden. Die paar Pommes waren sehr versalzen, einfach nur lieblos. Gut gemeint, aber schlecht gemacht!

Ruhiges angenehmes Lokal. Wir wurden herzlich begrüßt auch mit einem Aperitif zu unserem Essen gab es einen kleinen Salat. Die Portionen sind sehr üppig und es war kein Problem den Rest mitzunehmen. Das Fleisch meines Mannes war auch reichlich und gut. Es lief etwas lautere Musik im Hintergrund was ich immer als etwas störend empfinde aber es hielt sich in Grenzen.

Sehr schönes Ambiente, super Lage, sehr leckeres Essen. Ich hatte den Filetteller, ganz zartes Fleisch mit rauchigem Aroma, sehr lecker. Mit frischem Zatziki und Zwiebeln. Die Bedienung und der Chef sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

Seit ich das Dionysos kenne, gehört es für mich zu den besten griechischen Reataurants! Das Essen hat noch nie enttäuscht, man sitzt sehr angenehm und das Personal ist auch bei vollbesetztem Restaurant nicht gestresst und hat immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen. Man muss nie lange warten und es ist immer lecker.

Sehr empfehlenswert. Zuvorkommender und freundlicher Service. Stilvolle Einrichtung. Gute Qualität der angebotenen Speisen. Wer die griechische Küche liebt, ist hier an der richtigen Adresse.

Sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienungen, das Essen frisch und bekömmlich, das Ambiente gemütlich. Ich war zum ersten Mal dort, aber sicher nicht zum letzten Mal. Absolut empfehlenswert, wenn man in der Mannheimer Innenstadt zu tun hat.

Das Bier bei mir war 3 Monate abgelaufen das Bier von meinem Kollegen 8 Monate Mein steak war nicht Medium sondern well well well well well done Wenigstens war es nicht schimmelig, aber die Bedienung war nett.

In der Stadt zentral gelegenes Griechisches Restaurant. Dekoration ilund Ambiente innen ist schön. Service war freundlich. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.
