A great restaurant with a lake view from the terrace in summer. A very pleasant and cozy atmosphere, delicious and freshly prepared Greek food. Excellent, attentive, and friendly service.

The food is always excellent. The staff is very friendly. Ordering and picking up food is also possible, so I highly recommend it.

Even as vegetarians, we had several dishes to choose from – unfortunately, that's still not a given. We were very satisfied with the taste of the dishes and the service – especially since the team was also catering for a wedding party at the same time. We'd be happy to return anytime. :-)

Highly recommended. Very friendly and attentive staff. A digestif and a small dessert on the house – wow, where else can you get that? The food, a wide selection, of excellent quality, beautifully presented, and generous portions! The ambiance on the terrace = pure holiday feeling. I'd love to go back, hopefully soon.

Super delicious Greek restaurant with mega delicious food and super attentive service

One of the best Greeks in the region. This was also confirmed to me by several friends. I can only recommend it to anyone who likes Greek cuisine.

We came here for dinner with seven people, including three children, and were completely thrilled. The service was super friendly and attentive. The food was prepared quickly, was very tasty and the prices were absolutely fair. We all felt comfortable and would love to come back!

After a long break, we went to eat at Weiherklause again. The weather was so inviting that we chose a table on the terrace. I had chosen a dish that I claimed for a long time that I had never eaten better anywhere and now? I returned them. It was inedible. Likewise, my two companions only ate half of their chosen meal. I wasn't charged for my meal. And I have to say that was the least we could expect. Nevertheless, we won't be there for the last time because we hope that we just had a bad day.

The food is very good. I often take the grill plate. When it's full, which is usually the case, it gets quite loud. If that doesn't bother you... everything's okay. Otherwise, you should get there as early as possible if you want to eat quietly. In the evening, for example, from 5/6 p.m. Boss is attentive and very nice. I also think it's good that there are 2 German wines... Since I don't really like the larger wines... We were there again in February. There in 2025. Quality is good. But please please try to bring the food to the table a little warmer. The grill plate was lukewarm. Sea bream also arrived at the table quite lukewarm. The restaurant wasn't full... The food should be warm or hot. Not lukewarm tends to be cold after 10 minutes. I want to eat slowly... And enjoy. There were only 3 tables occupied on Saturday lunchtime... well, as they say... The Greeks don't eat that warm .. but... The Germans love it even more 😁

Very nice atmosphere. Delicious food. Small starter and dessert from the house. Always nicely prepared. Very courteous service. The only negative thing I found was that they charged €4 for a small bowl of Metaxa sauce. That was disproportionate.

We have been coming to Barka regularly for many years and are completely satisfied every time. The quality is consistently high, the service is friendly and personal, and the prices are reasonable. See you next time!

We were at the Weiherklause as part of a family celebration. Quite inconspicuous from the outside but the interior is very nice and inviting. Everyone enjoyed the food excellently. We were also impressed by the service. All in all, the restaurant can be highly recommended.

As always, the online reservation worked really well this time. We (4 people) had a nice table, were able to chat undisturbed, and had a delicious meal - the lamb shank is highly recommended here. Friends even come from Bensheim to Barka for this. The special thing is that the “usual” Greek cuisine is not served here; the dishes stand out. The service is impeccable and the boss pays close attention to making you feel comfortable. Whether summer or winter - the Barka is always worth an evening.

We went here for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. For just €12-18 you get a soup, followed by a salad, the main course and finally a dessert. The food was very tasty and of high quality. My husband chose the sea mix while I ordered the lamb shank. The meat was very soft and juicy. Afterwards I was full all day! It is advisable to reserve a table as it can get very busy here. We'll be back next week!

Wollte mit einer Freundin nach dem Badebesuch auf der Terrasse etwas essen. Schon bei Eintritt auf die Terrasse würden wir angegangen, ob wir reserviert hätten, es sei alles besetzt, und das in einem schon sehr unverschämten Ton. Haben wohl gestört. Auf der Terrasse war an keinem Tisch ein reserviert Schild und es saßen auch bereits andere Leute da. Wenn man nichts verdienen will, soll man das gleich zur Kenntnis bringen. Und Höflichkeit hat nich nie geschadet. Glücklicherweise gibt es in der Umgebung mehrere lokale, die sich über Gäste freuen. Mich und meine Begleitung wird dieses Lokal nicht wieder sehen

Great here!! Comfortably divided inside, outside a beautiful, large terrace under a roof with large parasols. The staff is totally friendly and attentive. The food is super delicious - great quality, everything fresh, aromatic seasoned - to eat! The grilled peppers are a stunner, the side salad is a pleasant mix with a delicious dressing, all types of meat are fried to a medium brown, the fries are wonderfully tender and crispy with a hint of salt and not greasy at all, and the ouzo is nice and mild and tasty! I'm thrilled and will definitely come back :-)

Perfect meal - truly the best Greek food in the region! Our Greek friends described it as “authentic” and “super tasty”. Yesterday I ate the braised leg of lamb - MEGA! The Barka spritzer is also a hit, as is the service and friendliness. We keep coming back! Sitting outside is also wonderful against the backdrop of the beautiful lake backdrop.

Everything was top notch as always. Great value for money. I'm glad this restaurant exists. Thanks! Recommended at any time. Just one tiny little thing: I don't think the ouzo at the very beginning is that good. Better after the meal, when the stomach is full.

You can sit comfortably in the beer garden or in the restaurant in a beautiful environment. The service can only be rated with 5 stars. The food was not to our liking, the soup and salad were very good, the main course was unfortunately cold or not very tasty. The nice restaurant at the end of the Stollenwörthweiher is beautifully furnished and the beer garden also invites you to linger. Here you have a beautiful view of the water. The service is quick and friendly, the food is good, and the selection is plentiful. There are also sufficient and free parking spaces in the immediate vicinity.

Update 2024: We were here to celebrate a birthday. Unfortunately the table was not set, there were only napkins and cutlery on the table. It was clear that we would like to sit longer, that wouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately, after 9:30 p.m. we were no longer served properly; hardly any service came to us. We had to call them out. Furthermore, a waitress stood constantly at the front of the counter and stared at our guests. Instead of serving you, you were simply stared at in the hope that you would leave soon. For a 30€ tip, no one really said thank you. Not everyone was happy with the food either, liver dry, chicken too. That's what the guests said, my food was good. We were literally thrown out here, which was a shame, especially since this was our favorite restaurant as a family. Old review 2022: We have been eating here as a family for several years. We can actually recommend all of the dishes, but especially the starters. The staff was always friendly, helpful and accommodating. You never have to wait too long here, there are enough service staff available. Orders are taken promptly and if something is not to your satisfaction, everything possible will be done to make you happy. The location is very well located in Mannheim Neckarau at the Stollenwörthweiher, where you can also sit on the terrace in summer. The interior of the restaurant also has a tired, cozy design and is a nice place to sit. If the restaurant is full, which is usually the case, it could get a little louder, but this cannot be avoided due to the size of the restaurant. Once again, a big compliment to the service, thank you for your satisfaction today (Metaxasauce).

It was a really great experience. The chairs wobble a bit, which suggests a high number of visitors. Unfortunately, the Black Angus steak was not asked about the cooking point. It was almost perfect for our taste, but unfortunately only almost. We will definitely visit the restaurant more often.

I ordered a Bifteki today. Very tasty.👍👍 Side salad is also OK. could be a little more plentiful. Prices are slightly higher than other Greek restaurants. The outdoor area is very nice, but is located directly on the lawn of the Stollewoehrung pond.

Service was attentive at all times. You could literally feel that they are always there for their guests. The food was great. Sauce too. Had bifteki. Only recommended. Disadvantage: expensive. But they are common prices these days. 50€ for two people including a drink

Die Weiherklause wurde etwas „aufgehübscht“ , und dadurch ist das Ambiente wirklich sehr schön und gemütlich geworden. Leider kann das Essen diesbezüglich aber nicht mithalten… ,daran ändern auch das neue Geschirr / Equipment nichts. Die Vorspeisenvatiation für € 17,- wird auf einer großen Platte serviert, und wirkt dadurch üppiger als sie eigentlich ist. Die frittierten Zucchini & Auberginen waren nahezu geschmacksneutral. Die dicken Bohnen aus der Dose / Glas waren ganz okay. Die drei Dips waren für unseren Geschmack noch die Besten, allerdings leider von der Portion sehr wenig . Über den Rest, wie zum Beispiel Oliven, Paprika gibt es leider auch nichts positives zu berichten. Besonders schade war, dass das Weißbrot sehr trocken gewesen ist - hier wäre es ein leichtes gewesen…das trockene Brot mit etwas Olivenöl zu bestreichen und es kurz zu grillen, und schon wäre es sicherlich ein Genuss gewesen… Der Feta - Hähnchenspiess war leider sehr trocken , und die Fetasauce hat absolut NICHT nach Feta geschmeckt. Genau das gleiche kann man auch über den Schweinespiess mit Metaxasauce sagen. Die Saucen machen den Eindruck als wären sie ein Fertigprodukte aus der Tüte … also geschmacklich einfach NICHTS!!! Alles in allem also doch sehr enttäuschend!!!

The food was super tasty. We had a starter, four different main courses, delicious cocktails and a small dessert and two ouzos on the house. It is cozy and beautifully decorated, the service is super attentive and friendly without being intrusive. We were there for the first time and will definitely come back.

It was very crowded and therefore there was a fair amount of noise, but that was unavoidable and didn't stop us from enjoying this evening for a long time. We always enjoy coming here - whether in the summer on the beautiful terrace or now in the tasteful interior! The service was great again this time, even though all the tables were occupied. A special highlight was a wine tasting from the new Greek winery!!! The food gets one star less from me this time because the salad was extremely salty and the gyros could have been a little darker - but of course that's a matter of individual taste... Conclusion: Always worth a visit!!!

We ordered a baked goat cheese plate with pita and bread as an appetizer, for the main course we ordered the lamb assortment plate, a Rumpsteak, and three ‚Ocean‘ salads. The portions were really substantial, the various lamb offerings were tender and grilled to perfection. The steak was a large 350g slab that was perfectly done to medium and topped with herb butter and caramelized onions on the side. The three ocean salads were actually mountains of sea bass, shrimp, calamari, and other seafood delicacies on top of a giant bed of mixed greens. Afterwards we had some espressos which came with large pieces of homemade cake that was soft, moist, warm, and delicious !! We can 100% highly recommend this Greek restaurant if you are in the area. We would also recommend getting a reservation as the entire place filled up shortly after we arrived at 6pm (we had a reservation). The menu also has allergen codes listed on the back page and the codes are listed next to each item on the menu !!
