The food was excellent, the prices were great, and the service was friendly. All in all, highly recommended.

Very good chicken. Good service. Since we couldn't sit outside due to a wasp allergy, we were given a special seat in the conservatory so our dog could also have enough space.

I went for a walk in beautiful Alsfeld in the autumnal weather and then stopped off at Kartoffelsack... I received a very friendly welcome and service and enjoyed my delicious beer 🍺 and food.👍

We were there last weekend and unfortunately stayed in the guesthouse. Sadly, we weren't told that we'd have to cope with the charm of the last century. The TV didn't work, and when we asked about it, we were told it was too old to receive HD channels. The missing lock on the wardrobe was compensated for by having a chair propped up against it, and the pillows had definitely seen better days. Unfortunately, this room bore no resemblance to the beautiful pictures on the website. It was supposed to be a relaxing weekend, but what a disappointment.

We spontaneously decided to have dinner there, and the food was plentiful and delicious. The schnitzel was tender and juicy, and the side dishes were hot and freshly prepared. The salad was varied and generous. A truly honest and lovely restaurant in the middle of the countryside.
