Gasthaus Gischler in Alsfeld

Professionally maintained lawn in Schwalmau. The sports center is also impressive.

We experienced a few wonderful days (8.9 - 13.09.24) in the Alsfeld area. We hiked and took great bike tours to beautiful towns with historic half-timbered houses. We felt very comfortable in our accommodation, the Gasthaus zur Hardtmühle. We had a nice room, great breakfast and delicious dinner. We were able to store our bikes in a garage. We would like to say our warmest thanks to our very warm hosts and the friendly waitresses for a few carefree, eventful days of vacation and we look forward to seeing you again. I grudgingly gave it 4 stars because we were in vacation mode. The older waitress couldn't really bring herself to say kind words or smile. The presumed daughter, however, was very friendly. The food, for me steak with bacon and mashed potatoes, was good. However, the steak was too dry. Ambience: Way too much light! LED lights that were on the table were not turned on at all, but would probably have been sufficient without ceiling lights. Take it as a kind hint. Everyone has a bad day sometimes. Make something of it. Best regards
