The food is okay, but the portions are very small, especially for the price (cheese spaetzle €17, beetroot €18). The atmosphere isn't cozy; there's loud/"trendy" US music playing in the background (pop, lots of "club music," rap). The staff is nice, but it takes a long time to order, and then we waited 45 minutes for the food, and it was still only "warm." Okay for a lighter appetite or a spontaneous meal, but there are many better restaurants for German food.

Good food, but not so attentive service

Super friendly, the atmosphere is really nice, but the fried chicken burger was probably the worst burger I've ever eaten, to be honest. The bun was dry, there was barely any meat on the burger, and they didn't even bother to melt the cheese. The fries were okay, but for €19, it was a complete disaster – a real shame, because everything else was actually fine, and I would have happily come back.

We stopped in spontaneously. The restaurant has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. The service was excellent. We had Wiener Schnitzel and Kaiserschmarrn...very tasty. Highly recommended.

The food was delicious, the service attentive, and the prices reasonable. The big problem: It was very cold in the restaurant; we were freezing. When I asked, they said it always took a while for the room to warm up. I don't go to a restaurant to freeze. Many others were also wearing jackets while eating. Note: My original review was subsequently challenged and removed, but was reinstated after I appealed. I find it very disappointing when criticism is deleted instead of being used to improve the restaurant.

I specifically asked inside if I could sit alone at one of the four-person tables outside. When I finally sat down, the grumpy waitress ignored me for 15 minutes before I left. No menu, and the empty drinks of the people before me weren't cleared away, nothing. During that time, she walked past me at least 10 times.

Thanks to Carina for the friendly, quick service and to Philipp for the great advice on the cocktail selection. The Espresso Martini with Cointreau and almonds was amazing, and I thought I didn't like cocktails with espresso 😁 The Frangelico sour was also very good! Relaxed, casual atmosphere, very friendly and welcoming staff. You can expect beatifully plated, delicious food with some depth that might surprise you. They are highly sought after, so making a reservation is recommended over spontaneous visits.

The Spezlwirtschaft in Munich has a cool, cozy atmosphere that makes you feel immediately at home. The service was excellent and attentive without being intrusive. My three courses were a dream: spicy beef tartare, creamy cheese spaetzle, and a fluffy Kaiserschmarren with soooo good plum compote – all perfectly prepared and incredibly delicious. Highly recommended for Munich!!!

A balmy summer evening, the Kaiserschmarrn was a poem. Fluffy, wonderfully caramelized, with rum raisins or even raisins and rum. I just shouldn't have eaten the Wiener Schnitzel in such a hurry. There was already a shortage of room. It was accompanied by a fresh salad with a very tasty, but unusual, dressing. I still have to learn how to eat artichokes (the appetizer) properly. But the Kaiserschmarrn will remain in my memory. It may even have been the best of all (my) times.

Wonderful, if you come before 7 p.m., you get the Hoibe for €3. Would 10/10 again!

I had a really great meal here tonight. I dined solo and sat at the bar. There are several thoughtful vegetarian menu items, some of which are also vegan. I got the spinach dumplings (sort of like a mix between the dumplings you get in Czechia and matzo balls) and they were really pillowy but still filling. I wanted to get the turnip cake dessert but was unfortunately too full. I will be back next time I'm in Munich. The bill for the spinach dumplings and a glass of Lillet was 23 euros, for context.

The Spezlwirtschaft doesn't want to be a typical restaurant serving German cuisine, but its somewhat alternative interior sets it apart from other German restaurants. Less is more seems to be the motto here. Unfortunately, the value for money isn't right here. The prices are higher than at other restaurants, but neither the quality of the food nor the service nor the ambiance justify this. We were a group, and one of us had to wait longer for our meal, while the others had already been served. And this despite the restaurant being relatively empty at the time. The waitress was primarily concerned with commenting on almost everyone's order in some way, which I found inappropriate. The schnitzel was generally good and tasty, but the Spezlwirtschaft isn't good at making Kaiserschmarren. In short: there are much better restaurants... at least for those who don't value an alternative ambiance. Edit: Nice try deleting comments.

A friend and I were looking for a nice restaurant in Haidhausen and stumbled upon this fantastic place. We had the wiener schnitzel and the spinach dumplings and were absolutely thrilled. We especially liked that you don't have to choose between fries and potato salad as a side dish with the schnitzel, but can simply order a mix of both. Honest, high-quality cuisine combined with modern influences. Beer is served by the half liter, not 0.4 or even 0.3 liters, which is unfortunately not uncommon in Munich restaurants these days. The service was fast and friendly. We'll definitely be back!

The food was very good (especially the meat)

Unfortunately, the quality of the food is inconsistent. We've been visiting this restaurant on and off for three years. On our last visit on Saturday, we were served three soggy veal schnitzels that were lukewarm. The fries were also terrible. It wasn't busy. It was very unpleasant for us, as we had promised our guests a good schnitzel, which was absolutely not the case. The price-performance ratio is completely out of this world. Unfortunately, this will be our last visit.

A lively atmosphere, a young clientele and staff, and a slightly stuffy air. I had a breaded boiled beef with celery puree – okay in terms of flavor, not very intense, and actually very few side dishes. We still had a lovely evening, and the pancake was delicious. ;-)

A very nice restaurant that offers a really good brunch on Sundays. There's a fantastic selection of dishes, and the coffee is equally delicious. The atmosphere is very cozy, both inside and out, and the service was very quick and courteous. I'd go back anytime!

I happened to pass by this restaurant. When I was there, it was very empty. I ordered a steak tartare. The meat was fresh, but unfortunately, the taste wasn't to my liking. The service was okay, but not particularly friendly. I don't think I'll visit the restaurant again.

Ambience and staff were great. Unfortunately, some of the food was subpar, and unfortunately they can't do desserts at all. The complaint was handled well by the service staff. We weren't the only guests who complained about individual dishes. The price is simply not right for the kitchen performance. The wine list is great for that. I expected more. Since it was a farewell dinner, the food unfortunately spoiled the mood.

So... this is a very pleasant, if simple, atmosphere. We liked it. It was really crowded. This is due to long waiting times for service. Drinks were still perfectly fine. We had to wait over an hour for a pre-prepared meal, we had 5 pieces of Wiener Schnitzel, which was probably not fried in butter, rather in the deep fryer. The breading just comes off. It didn't taste good, but I love Wiener Schnitzel. This was the worst ☝️ In stark contrast, the large fries were very good, and I would give them 5 stars for that. Otherwise very friendly and nice. There's nothing to complain about. Keep it up. A better Wiener Schnitzel and then it would be 5 stars.

Been here for the second time - the first time baked meat and today the Ochsenbackerl. Seldom eaten such tender meat. Delicious!

Ein Sonntag Abend, das Lokal fast leer, der Raum sehr kalt, die Speiseauswahl für Vegetarier bescheiden und zu teuer. Beinahe wären wir zu zweit an den kleinsten kleinen Tisch platziert worden, nur nach Protest konnten wir uns einen besseren Platz aussuchen, Auswahl war ja genug. Auf Nachfrage wegen der Kälte hieß es, es sind halt zu wenig Gäste im Raum. Insgesamt ein sehr ungemütlicher Abend - und auch noch zu teuer.

Food was great. The ox cheeks were super braised 🤤 the other dishes were also very well done. The only drawback: In my opinion, the few tables for two feel “tightly” positioned. It would be cool if the tables were closer to the room for more legroom.

Nice place with good music. Kohlrabi Schnitzel (vegan) was very tasty, but a little more salt wouldn't have hurt. I found the cheesecake for €7 to be a bit poor in terms of value for money, but it was still tasty. Dear service.

I had the fried mushrooms as a starter and the schnitzel as a main course. portion was more than enough. Also got a salad with it. Thought it was worth the price. The two of us spent €95. I had 1 glass of wine, my husband 2 glasses of coke. And we both had a starter and a main course.

The space is cozy, the food is disproportionate to the price/performance ratio, so it's really expensive and not a good product. We were a closed group, everything was discussed and ordered and yet the service didn't really keep up. When paying by card, the default tip was 10%. I think that doesn't work at all.

The room temperature wasn't necessarily pleasantly warm - and the food wasn't good value for money either.

Why am I going into the specialty industry? I get delicious and creative food and good drinks at fair prices in cool clothes. The service is friendly, fast and in a good mood. Even if everything is full, you won't be sent away unkindly.

The food is completely overpriced and tastes absolutely not up to par. When we ordered a bottle of wine for €40, it corked it and even though we said no to the waiter, he poured the glasses. Terrible service and the food is definitely not worth it.

The food wasn't convincing, the ambience is quite nice, even if I would imagine something different under "Spezlwirtschaft". The partly modernized versions of Bavarian classics were just so “meh”. The boiled carrots for boiled beef, for example, were watery and tasteless, the amount of butter for the spinach dumplings was too little, the spinach dumplings themselves tasted average at best, and the vegan kohlrabi schnitzel wasn't convincing either. Based on the name and website, I had imagined the ambience to be much more casual and was disappointed in that respect, but somehow it was still somewhat comfortable.

Onder is the man that runs the place (he's also "the man"). Excellent food, beer and wine. But, the real gem is Onder. Super cool, relaxed, always happy and defnitely knows how to take care of customers. We were staying in a place close by and had been in a couple times. Got caught in a rain storm on the way home and stopped in for some shelter. Onder got us some towels, drinks and then shared a couple shots on the house with us. What a guy!! Good spot in Haidhausen...stop in a say hello to Onder!

Great restaurant to eat. We all had great dishes and the service was friendly and quick. The espresso martini orange was also great. It's great inside too, but it's especially great to sit outside. Super sociable. Also great vegetarian options.

El servicio no fue genial. La camarera parecía ignorar nuestra mesa después de estar sentada. Tardó unos 20 minutos en llegar y parecía evitar el contacto con nuestra mesa. Una mesa de damas se sentó después de que pedimos y obtuvimos sus bebidas antes de que pidieramos. La comida estaba bien. Me dieron el queso frito toda la ensalada y no me gustó mucho el aspecto del queso frito, pero me gustó mucho la parte de la ensalada. Mi madre tenía la ensalada de queso de cabra y en realidad me gustaba más el queso de cabra. En general, la comida estaba bien, pero el mal servicio es el 2 estrellas. Incluso olvidó traer cerveza a mis maridos.

Super delicious dishes! Everything made with a lot of love and fresh ingredients and very attentive service! Asparagus + schnitzel and spinach dumplings were a highlight!

Angebot, Qualität der Speisen ist maximal mittelmäßig. Kaffee schwarz wurde die Tasse nur halb gefüllt gebracht und Milchkaffee. 26.50€ sind dafür viel zu teuer. Fazit: nicht zu empfehlen.
