Our granddaughter had an exhibition at the Kunsthalle (South Entrance) yesterday; afterwards we went to the restaurant and enjoyed some drinks. The staff were very friendly, polite, professional, and yet in a good mood. We enjoyed ourselves very much. Thank you for the pleasant afternoon. 👍🍰☕️🍺

Highly recommended for breakfast! An elegant yet cozy atmosphere, friendly, knowledgeable service, and, last but not least, organic, regional dishes. The eggs benedict with salmon were truly outstanding!

The food is good and quite reasonable for the price. The service could be improved. If you choose a cerviche as an appetizer and indicate that you'd like to share it between two before the main course, we find it weak that the cerviche is placed in the middle, but you have to request two separate plates for the meal. You also had to request bread separately. We found the dirty floor, crumbs on the seats at the neighboring table, and cobwebs on the wall unsatisfactory. A tablecloth would also be nice.

We celebrated our wedding at Canova. It was perfect from start to finish! Tania's pre-wedding support was fantastic, and Volker took care of us during the ceremony. We had some vegetarian guests, so we wanted to adapt the menu a bit. That wasn't a problem at all. The ambiance was fantastic, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Canova definitely played a big part in that! If we were to get married again (which hopefully won't happen), we would celebrate here again! Thanks to the entire team!

We had breakfast at the Canova yesterday. It's a beautiful central location, yet surrounded by greenery, with a wonderful ambiance. A wide variety of options. The breakfast was delicious, and the service was attentive, friendly, and unobtrusive. We'll be happy to return.

Great selection of dishes, a great atmosphere both inside and out. The fish soup is highly recommended. The pasta with chanterelle mushrooms is also very good. A very tasty, not-so-cheap sparkling wine complements the oysters. The unusual ceviche lacks red onions, chili, and coriander, but instead features orange tomato sauce and is a huge portion.

We were at Canova with a group of 14 people. From the service to the food, everything was fantastic and delicious! The regional ingredients and partnerships are fantastic and unique. We were all thrilled and would love to come back!

We went to Canova after a funeral service. Many thanks to Mr. Kötter, who gave us excellent advice. The young service team was very attentive, friendly, and pleasant. The food was delicious and served on tiered trays. We would be happy to return.

We went back for another great lunch today: food and service is still as great as is has been. One important change: The door between the museum and the restaurant is now locked after being open for years. It can create cognitive dissonance and stress for the restaurant staff if guests signal through the locked glass door that they would like to come in. They want to help but the museum’s rule says that they cannot. The right way now is, unfortunately, to grab your jacket from the museum locker and walk around the museum to enter the restaurant from the back. —- Hidden at the backside of the Kunsthalle Museum this restaurant features creative food of high quality exceeding expectations by far. The atmosphere is quiet and service is well trained and friendly. We love this place.

As always, an absolute highlight! CANOVA impresses not only with its excellent cuisine, but also with a stylish and inviting ambiance that immediately puts you at home. The service is exceptionally warm and attentive – the dedicated team greets you personally and with warmth, making every visit particularly pleasant. The dishes are prepared with great attention to detail, are beautifully presented, and taste amazing every time. You can taste the freshness of the products used and the quality of the preparation. It's always a pleasure to eat here, and we're always happy when we get the chance to visit CANOVA. Highly recommended!

We visited for breakfast today. We got a nice table by the window. The very friendly waitress brought us "DU & ICH KLASSISCH" (Classic Du & Ich). The plates were filled with many delicacies. They were accompanied by delicious bread, rolls, and croissants. We really enjoyed everything.

Big portions! Nice place with very tasty food. The staff was really friendly and took their time to explain the menu. If you eat breakfast here you can just skip lunch, impressive portions.

We had an excellent meal today; the zander was so well prepared that the kitchen deserves special praise. The white Bordeaux wine paired perfectly with it. The service was very pleasant and prompt. Of course, we can't forget Mr. Kötter, who provided very attentive service. We were very satisfied and enjoyed the evening on the terrace. We would gladly return anytime!

Unfortunately, I can't give a positive recommendation here. We were there for dinner in a large group (15). The food was tasty, but for the price, it didn't blow me away. The fish I had lacked character—rather bland, and the dessert was also mediocre and decorated with strawberries that had been picked too early. The service was good, but what I found annoying was the constant reference to how extravagant the ingredients were. The chicken my wife was served was a disaster. For me, a place that pretends to be more extravagant than it actually is. Too bad, that was my last visit here.

We had breakfast at Canova this week. A sensational ambiance and very beautiful and tasteful interiors. Parking garage 150 meters around the corner. Great breakfast, superb quality, and delicious coffee. A perfect start to a beautiful summer day in Bremen. Highly recommended.

Excellent breakfast! Good quality products. The sourdough bread with the marinated salmon was delicious. The portions are very large, though; it would be great if they offered a smaller version to reduce waste. The chai latte was excellent, frothy, low in sugar, and perfectly spiced. We'd love to come back!

Great place and first class service.

By far the best restaurant in Bremen at the moment and one of the most impressive restaurant experiences of my life, which has certainly not been short of culinary highlights. Tremendous creativity and the courage to think outside the box combine with absolutely wonderful quality and preparation (fantastic textures down to the smallest detail) and very attractive presentation. The accompanying drinks are just as excellent, whether alcoholic or not. Add to that a lovely ambiance and truly good, yet humane and humorous (rather than stiff and snobby) service. All in all, an experience that, in terms of the quality and originality of the food, doesn't have to hide from three-star restaurants for less than half the price. Still a lot of money, but absolutely worth every cent. I'd happily go back anytime!

Had breakfast again on Easter 25. Whether you're slightly hungry or more, there's plenty of delicious selection at reasonable prices. Service great. What more could you want?

Great location and quality but at impressive prices. Went here for breakfast and were able to sit in the sun on the terrace facing the park. The food is really high quality and the eggs Benedict were delicious. Unfortunately the cocoa couldn't keep up but we had a great stay. However, the prices are impressive, so for a breakfast for 3 people we spent €76.

I have reserved places for 18 people for a group of Urban Sketchers (drawing in the city). The reservation was made in advance in a very competent and friendly manner. We were served very nicely at coffee time and there was even delicious cake, even though it wasn't on the menu. The ambience is very appealing, although I missed a few more art objects in the art gallery building. The visit to Canova made some members of the group curious about meeting up here in the evening for dinner. Thank you very much for the good afternoon!

A very nice place for breakfast. Not exactly cheap, but super tasty. We had various breakfast classics. The pot of tea comes in a cast iron pot, long hot tea enjoyment.

A table was reserved for a birthday dinner in the evening (reservation the day before). The menu didn't match the evening menu on the half board, which was unfortunate. On the evening menu there were 4 starters and 3 main courses. The chosen oysters (starter) were out. This was said after the order was placed. (I would have understood if the hut had been packed) Since the starter and the second course and the side dish were identical, the second starter was also canceled, the other two didn't quite suit the taste. So no starter. 2 people had chosen the duck breast... unfortunately there was only 1 duck breast left. (Here too... the hut would have been full...) The wine we ordered only came when we asked - after about 20-25 minutes. (And for the third time... all the tables would have been occupied and you could understand the stress of the staff). The staff was otherwise friendly. The food was very good... and the portion was also large. I was a bit surprised by the champagne cream sorbet, which is obviously made with butter and had Euro-sized chunks of (water) ice in it. As I said, the food was very good. Nevertheless, the birthday child (me) was a little disappointed. I fully support the fact that food is not wasted. But here I had the feeling that there was a bad planning when shopping. (especially if there are reservations). The birthday child was disappointed and is not sure if she would like to have dinner at Canova again. 4 stars because the food was good... but will I come back??? Trend no.

Delicious, spontaneous breakfast with ham, cheese and jam, egg, tomato, cucumber, salad and fruit. Delicious bread and rolls Only the grapes were a little over the top. My milk coffee is creamy and intense. Everything in an elegant, modern setting, 1 star deducted because the toilets need a minor refresh - they are OK - but not in proportion to the rest. 1 star deduction for service. The lady was very friendly, but if she had come by every now and then I would have had another coffee.

The Canova saved us a celebration last weekend that was originally planned somewhere else. The Canova team was super flexible, very friendly and gave us a wonderful morning. A very big thank you to the Canova team!!!

We were there spontaneously with a large group over lunchtime. The very warm and spontaneously super-helpful and flexible service team wonderfully saved our (JGA) day, which got off to a very unfortunate start due to a (not canceled) cocktail course that was canceled. :-)

Unfortunately our visit was not pleasant. The waiter was rude and arrogant. When asked, he tried to be funny, but it was completely wrong. We felt uncomfortable right from the start. Additionally, the menu was difficult to understand, but instead of helping us, the waiter decided to respond in a rude and mocking way.

A stylish restaurant located just behind Kuntshalle Bremen. Even though we entered here by mistake to drink coffee :) they did not turn us away and hosted us very politely. The ambiance and service are top notch. The view overlooking a large park is very relaxing. Even though we didn't eat there, it could be a good alternative for those looking for a quality and stylish place to eat in Bremen. 👍

I had breakfast at Canova with a friend today and it was really something special. We had eggs benedict and freshly squeezed orange juice. Everything just tasted really good and you could tell that high-quality food was being processed. It was definitely not the last time I was there.

This is a very nice and quiet place to relax and have a nice coffee. The food is very tasty and served in good portions. Everything is there for the small hunger or the huge hunger. There is something for young and old. Highly recommended and in my opinion a must if you are in Bremen.

We really enjoy going to Canova, especially for breakfast, because everything is just right there! The atmosphere is warm, the ambience is nice and the quality of the food is absolutely great! Especially since Canova provides information about the origin of the products used and works with many regional manufacturers. We think that's great! That's why we had breakfast at Canova with our small wedding party after our civil wedding. It was absolutely fantastic! Tanja and the team gave us great hospitality - you can just tell that the Canova team works with passion! We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the wonderful time, the great experience and the delicious delicacies and we look forward to continuing to come!

This restaurant is beautifully designed, has very good food, nice staff and a good extensive menu. There is something for everyone. I recommend it. It is very expensive, but it lives up to its price. Really recommended 👍

An absolute insider tip, hidden under the Bremer Kunsthalle on the ramparts, is the Canova. Culinary at the highest level. The service is top, the ambience is unique. Always happy to come back. Thank you very much and keep it up.

Wir verlebten einen hervorragenden Abend auf der Terrasse. Die Speisekarte bietet einiges an Überraschungen - und das im positiven Sinne. Den "Ziegenkäse mit Fermentiertem, Eingelegtem & Wildem" hätte ich mehrmals essen können. Insgesamt 40 (!) verschiedene Komponenten auf dem Teller - phänomenal. Mein Nordseekalmar fiel dagegen leider etwas ab wobei dies Jammern auf hohem Niveau ist. Die Pasta mit Sommertrüffel hat mich dann wieder "mit Gott und der Welt" versöhnt. Der Service war, bis auf eine kleine Unstimmigkeit, hervorragend. Eben so, wie wir es uns gewünscht haben.

Great recommendation! We celebrated our wedding with a free wedding ceremony at Canova. From the first conversation, through the entire preparation period, throughout the entire day and even afterwards, it was just perfect. Tania supported us with great ideas for the celebration. There was also a plan B in case the weather didn't cooperate for the outdoor wedding ceremony. Volker and the entire service really thought of every detail and went extra miles that we didn't know existed. For example, my grandma got help with carrying plates at the buffet with a walker and Volker made sure that we had enough time to eat with the bride and groom. We always had one contact person and yet everyone stayed in the background. The BBQ was just amazing. We have never eaten such delicious chicken and beef before. All side dishes and also the dessert were extremely tasty. Professionalism and satisfied guests really come first here. We felt very comfortable and hope to be there again soon at a celebration with you.

Very nice atmosphere outside. But unfortunately bad service. You have to get the waiter yourself because no one comes. At 4:50 p.m. there are no more cappuccinos. Incredible.

Excellent food with great service in a lovely atmosphere. Definitely fine dining in Bremen with a star chef who creates incredibly delicious and complex food. Also worth mentioning is the first-class service with great wine recommendations and a description of the food. Of course, all of this has its price, but it is justified.

A wonderfully beautiful, quiet terrace in the sun (especially in summer), what more could you want for a break or lunch. Very courteous and quick service! We had some very tasty oysters as a starter, as well as one dish from the changing menu. Despite its central location, the terrace is very quiet. The interior is also very nicely decorated. We always enjoy coming here, no matter the meal.

Drink prices are sporty, a piece of cake costs 7 euros. The waiters weren't too keen on bringing anything else.

Canova hat unsere Erwartungen deutlich übertroffen. Es war eine Empfehlung- und ich war optimistisch, dass wir gut essen würden. Die Qualität sowohl in der Zubereitung als auch in der optischen Darbietung war auf einem deutlich höheren Niveau als wir es von der dort recht bescheidenen Bremer Gastronomie Szene gewohnt sind. Und der Service war mindestens auf dem gleichen Niveau wie die Speisen. Absolute Empfehlung, wir kommen wieder.

The weather was really nice, so we were able to sit on the terrace and enjoy a Classico breakfast: You & I for 2 people. I think the photos I included visually show how good it was and the taste was awesome. We were also served very nicely, so my girlfriend and I were able to enjoy breakfast. Gladly again. It's a little more expensive, but the quality justifies it 👍👍👍

We went to the vegetarian amuse bouche evening at Canova yesterday and had a wonderful time! From the aperitif to the nightcap, we were well advised and entertained. The announced showing off of the kitchen that evening totally worked! We were amazed by the creativity and sophistication of the dishes! Rounded off with very personal service in a well-attended restaurant. We will definitely come back and try our way through the well-stocked wine list! 5-course menu: Excellent cuisine with friendly service. With great attention to detail and new ideas. We really enjoyed it and would always recommend it.

Let's start with the positive. Chic atmosphere and very centrally located. Service friendly. But when the bread is already at the table 25 minutes before the actual micro-breakfast with the edge of the bread so hard that you have to worry about your teeth and dishes, a mini slice of cheese that was lasered so thin that you could see through it, and the little piece of Camembert, too couldn't compensate, lamb's lettuce or lettuce (it doesn't matter now) is completely inappropriate on the plate (melon, a mini tomato and a quarter of a kiwi don't play a role either), the butter is exactly enough for half a roll (okay, maybe for one more edge of bread if used sparingly). the plate runs the risk of hitting the guests at the next table when cutting the ultra-hard edges of the bread (coefficient of friction between the plate and the table is almost ZERO)...then I don't know whether the 14 euros are compensation for lost teeth or for the neighboring tables and their guests which could possibly be damaged by slipping knives and flying plates.

We were able to celebrate our wedding in this beautiful location. The food was incredibly delicious, the finest regional products were excellently prepared. Service, cuisine, organization perfect! Many thanks again to Tania and Mr. Kötter, who made this event special ❤️

Top location! We were in Bremen last weekend and reserved a table here for breakfast. It was a really great visit! And our twins (3.5 years old) received a very friendly welcome and were even allowed to briefly visit the kitchen. The ambience outside is beautiful. The coffee latte was good. The piece of cake was tiny, soggy (warmed up?) and very expensive - €7!?!? In my opinion excessive and not appropriate. The service outside was also not very friendly. A pity!

We came here for lunch from work, it was really delicious. We all had a vegetarian 3-course meal with herb dumplings! We recommend. Unfortunately, the service slowed down a bit and two colleagues had to leave again, but we were still very satisfied and will definitely come back.

We wanted to take a little coffee break and afterwards we were just annoyed! Coffee and cake were delicious but we've never been served so condescendingly! Professionalism in the catering industry requires more than just an appearance of niceness!!! A pity!

This was our second time at Canova. Very friendly service in a dignified atmosphere and very tasty, sophisticated food.

We weren't registered, but we were still greeted extremely courteously. The food was very tasty and special requests were also taken into account. Not exactly cheap, but definitely worth the money.

Het personeel doet er alles aan om een fijne avond te hebben. Wij hadden gerechten gekozen van de losse kaart en kregen een amuse erbij. De voorgerechten smaakte ons goed, maar de hoofdgerechten vielen ons wat tegen. Er ligt te veel op je bord, naast je gekozen stukje vlees of vis. Nogmaals het personeel, locatie en de sfeer waren goed.

Das Essen war absolut fantastisch, der Service und die Atmosphäre waren super! Das Restaurant ist sehr schön gestaltet und das Team gibt sich sehr viel Mühe das man sich wohl und gut bedient fühlt. Wir hatten insgesamt 3 verschiedene Gerichte plus kleine aber sehr schmackhafte Aufmerksamkeiten des Lokals. Wir sind absolut zufrieden aus dem Restaurant gegangen.

Ich war dort zum Frühstück. Es war sehr eng am Tisch und im Lokal. Das Essen wird jedoch alles frisch zubereitet und ist qualitativ sehr gut. Die Lieferanten sind aus der Region und liefern Bio-Ware.

Sehr entspanntes Frühstück mit super aufmerksamen Personal. Im Preis aber kein Schnäppchen.

Das Frühstück war wirklich lecker. Bio und Regional ist schon sehr schön in der heutigen Zeit. Ob man für die Größe der Portionen allerdings bereit ist das Geld zu zahlen muss jeder selbst entscheiden. Wir haben mit zwei Personen für das Frühstück mit einer Kanne Tee, eine Cola Zero und ein kleines Wasser gut 55,-€ bezahlt... Der Service war leider nur okay. Die Aufnahme der Bestellung lief schleppend, wirkte teils als wäre die Karte nicht bekannt, Blumen wurden auf den Tischen ausgetauscht während wir aßen... Da könnte man definitiv noch dran arbeiten bei dem Preisniveau. Lokal sehr schön gestaltet.

Unangemessenes Preis Leistungs Verhältnis! Für eine fade schmeckende, sehr überschaubare Portion Labskaus mit zwei winzigen Entenbruststückchen 24 Euro zu verlangen ist völlig überteuert. Der Matjes war geschmacklich ok, aber beileibe nichts besonderes, sodass auch hier der Preis mit 22 Euro bei der ebenfalls kleinen Portion nicht gerechtfertigt ist. Vermutlich führt v. a. die Lage zu dieser Preisgestaltung. Service freundlich, aber schleppend.

Mit Freunden habe ich einen rundum schönen Abend bei schmackhafter Vorspeise, vorzüglichem Hauptgericht (Heilbutt der eine und Lamm die anderen), einem gut gekühlten Kräusen und außergewöhnlich freundlich/ lässigem Service im Canova verbracht. Ich komme in jedem Fall wieder.
