Spargelhof von Laer - Restaurant & Hofcafé in Herford

Wir durften hier eine Hochzeit mit freier Trauung besuchen. Eine wirklich wunderschöne, traumhafte Location. Es wurde an alles gedacht. Der große Raum zum Feiern ist sehr hübsch, Terasse mit Steh- und Sitzmöbeln ausgestattet. Das Personal war sehr nett und fleißig, kein langes Warten auf Getränke. Das Abendbuffet war sehr lecker. Eine sehr tolle Location für alle erdenklichen Feiern.

Wir waren mit 4 Personen am Reservetisch der beste Platz. Das Essen war super lecker und die Nachspeise der Hammer aber der Spargel war an dem Tag leider nicht so gut .

Wir waren zu Gast bei einer Geburtstagsfeier mit 30 Menschen. Die Lokation ist schön, das Essen ist gut und reichhaltig (Buffet). Ein Manko ist die Akkustik. Es ist sehr laut durch die Anzahl der Gäste und die ständige Bewegung vom und zum Buffet. Wer ruhig essen oder sich unterhalten möchte, ist hier an der falschen Stelle. Die Bedienungen sind sehr nett, der Koch ist besonders freundlich und ein sehr guter Gastgeber.

Wir waren heute mit einer größeren Gruppe zum Spargelbuffet essen da. Der Service und das Ambiente waren sehr gut. Das Buffet lies ebenfalls keine Wünsche offen und war sehr abwechslungsreich gestaltet. Als kleinen Verbesserungsvorschlag hätte ich tatsächlich nur, dass mir Schilder an den Gerichten und den Desserts gefehlt haben. Gerade bei gebackenen Speisen fällt es nicht immer leicht, zu erkennen ob das Gericht zum Beispiel vegetarisch ist, bei den Desserts hätte ich gerne gewusst welche Cremes das waren.

Wir (Familie 6 Erwachsene und 4 Kinder) hatten uns sehr auf das Spargelbufett gefreut. Leider war unser Besuch nicht so wie erwartet. Trotz vorheriger Buchung lange Warteschlange schon an der Eingangstür. Das zog sich durch den gesamten Aufenthalt. Service nur nach immer wieder Nachfragen erhalten. Getränke wurden falsch geliefert und auf das von der Karte bestellte Kinderessen Pommes Frites mit Nuggets ewig gewartet. Insgesamt Service nicht zufriedenstellend, lange Schlangen am Bufett und Essen war ok. Wir werden es sicher nicht noch einmal buchen. Sehr schade🥲

Das Spargelbuffe war zufriedenstellend, wenn auch nicht ausergewöhnlich. Das Nachtischangebot war bescheiden. Vier Sorten Eis, Pudding im Glas, Waffeln und Kompott. Die Spargelsuppe war kalt. Wir saßen um 14.00 am Tisch.

Das Essen war sehr gut, besonders lecker war der Lachs (auf Zedernholz gegart oder so ähnlich) und das Pulled Pork. Service war auch sehr gut und das Ambiente im Grünen mit der wunderschönen Terrasse wirklich mega. Wir waren dort auf einer Hochzeitsfeier, deshalb weiß ich nicht, ob diese wunderschöne Terrasse für den "normalen" Restaurantbetrieb geöffnet ist, was sehr schade wäre.

Um 19 Uhr kriegt man spontan noch einen Platz, Essen + Service super! Gerne wieder :-)

Eine wunderschöne Hofanlage mit Fachwerk und alter Balkendecke, kombiniert mit einer modernen aber nicht aufdringlichen Einrichtung. Klasse Service trotz der vielen Gäste und das Essen war ein Gedicht. Unglaublich lecker, trotz Buffet. Da ein so abwechslungsreiches und raffiniertes Menü anzubieten finde ich wirklich ausgezeichnet Und das bei dem ganzen Spargel nicht eine Faser holzig schmeckte ist echt gut. Ich ziehe meinen Hut vor dem Team und werde sicher wiederkommen. Auch wenn ich vielleicht dann reservieren muss um einen Platz zu bekommen, ich kann es nur empfehlen!

Spargelbuffet: Grundsätzlich ist das Essen sehr lecker, wenn man denn wüsste was es ist. Nur sehr wenige Gerichte sind Beschriftet. Für Allergiker ist dies hochgradig gefährlich. Auch Vegetarier und Veganer können nicht wissen was noch so in dem Essen ist. Das Buffet ist für die Menschenmenge viel zu klein. Gerichte fehlen des öfteren und die Wartezeit am Buffet ist sehr lange.

Ich würde sogar noch mehr Sterne geben essen Service alles drum herum passt👍mehr braucht man nicht sagen für mich war es ein perfekter Abend 👍

Wir waren heute beim Spargelbuffet . Das war sensationell gut. Beim Spargelbuffet haben wir noch nie soviel Auswahl gehabt. Vorspeisen, Hauptgänge, Nachspeisen. 6 verschiedene Fleischgerichte, Lachs, Spargel in verschiedenen Variationen, mehrere Nachtischvarianten, für wirklich jeden was dabei. Und .... der Preis für das Buffet ist zu niedrig. Wir gleichen das gerne mit Trinkgeld aus!! Das Personal ist super freundlich, sehr aufmerksam. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend!!

Wir waren im Rahmen einer Firmenveranstaltung im Hofrestaurant von Laer und sind rundum begeistert. Das Buffet war hervorragend – eine große Auswahl, alles frisch zubereitet und geschmacklich wirklich auf hohem Niveau. Es war für jeden etwas dabei, und die Qualität der Speisen hat absolut überzeugt. Auch das Ambiente war sehr angenehm und hat perfekt zur Veranstaltung gepasst. Der Service war aufmerksam, freundlich und gut organisiert, sodass man sich rundum wohlfühlen konnte. Insgesamt ein gelungener Abend mit erstklassigem Essen – wir kommen gerne wieder und können das Hofrestaurant uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

Immer wieder ausgezeichnet!!! Ein tolles Restaurant, nettes Personal in Top-Ambiente! Bekannt für vielfältige sehr gute Buffet-Gerichte

Einwandfrei, ich freue mich schon aufs nächste Ma(h)l.

Das Hofrestaurant von Laer Ist im Grunde eine gute Idee. Eingang und Parkplatz sind Behindertengerecht, die Gasträume sind hell und geräumig, auch die Gänge sind für Kinderwagen und Rollstuhl gut geeignet Für Hochzeiten Familienfeiern und Firmenevents sehr gut geeignet Für Durchgangsgäste und kleinere Gruppen nicht zu empfehlen, da die Räumlichkeiten sehr laut sind ,eine Unterhaltung am Tisch ist sehr schlecht. Das Gans- und Wildbuffet war sehr umfangreich ,aber leider am Thema vorbei. Was aber nicht heißt ,dass es nich geschmeckt hat- es war einfach nur überladen . Auf einem Gans- und Wildbuffet haben Weißwurst ,Flamkuchen, mediterane Salate so wie Rouladen und Sauerbraten nichts verloren, es sei denn es ist ein Wildsauerbraten oder eine Wildroluade, aber dem war nicht so . Auch hätte ich erwartet, dass die Tische für Vorbestellung komplett eingedeckt sind ,das war auch nicht so . Auch wäre es von Vorteil gewesen, wenn das Buffet von zwei Seiten zu erreichen wäre . So war die Schlange am Buffet sehr lang und es dauerte sehr lange bis man durchkam. Das Serviceteam hat gute Arbeit geleistet und die Tische wurden schnell abgeräumt . Unser Fazit ist : für geschlossene Gesellschaften sehr gut Aber nicht für den Durchgangsverkehr- zu laut und überlaufen . Schade ,dass man die wenigen Wildspeisen nicht in Ruhe genießen konnte.

Wir waren wie jedes Jahr zum Wild-Buffet im Hof Restaurant von Lear – und es war wieder einmal ausgezeichnet! Die Auswahl war vielfältig, die Speisen frisch und unglaublich lecker. Besonders empfehlen kann ich das gemütliche Kaminzimmer, das sich perfekt für Gruppen um die 16 Personen eignet und eine richtig schöne Atmosphäre bietet. Der Buffetpreis wurde zwar auf 44 € angehoben, aber die Qualität und der Genuss rechtfertigen es aus unserer Sicht immer noch. Wir kommen definitiv auch nächstes Jahr wieder!

Hofrestaurant Laer Nur eine Momentaufnahme Der Grundgedanke einheimische und zum Teil eigene Produkte zu verarbeiten ist sehr lobenswert . Das Hofrestaurant liegt sehr Idyllisch mit großen Parkplatz ( auch für Behinderte sehr gut geeignet) Die Räumlichkeiten sind sehr freundlich und hell und es ist genug Freiraum für Rollstuhl und Kinderwagen Die Toiletten sind sehr sauber und auch behinderte ngerecht, auch das ist sehr löblich Die Saison Karte bietet viele regionale Schmankerl . Und nun das Stönen auf hohem Niveau Ein gedeckter Tisch ist immer die Visitenkarte eines Restaurants Eine schön gefaltete Serviette und eine Menükarte würden das Niveau um ein vielfaches heben. Der Gastraum ist sehr laut so dass eine Unterhaltung sehr schwer ist Wir waren zum Wild und Gänsebuffet dort Das Buffet war gut und ausreichend, auch der Geschmack war gut,da gibt es nichts zu beanstanden . Nur wie gesagt, es war ein Wild und Gänsebuffet Da haben meines Erachtens Weißwurst, Bruscetta, Flammkuchen Lachs Röllchen und Sauerbraten und Rouladen nichts verloren ,es sei denn das sie von Reh oder Wildschwein sind Auch die Italienischen Salate paßten m.E.nicht so in das Konzept . Das Preisleistungsverhältbis war bei der Vielfältigkeit gerechtfertigt Aber es wirkte alles überladen und so mancher Gast war schlichtweg überfordert . Das Personal , das sich die viele Arbeit gemacht hat, tut mir wirklich sehr leid, für die vielen Sachen, die auf dem Buffet gar nicht beachtet wurden . Es sind Kleinigkeiten wie ein Glas Wasser zum Expreso,was ich vermisst habe und ein schön gedeckter Tisch gerade bei Vorreservierung. Dieses würde von einem guten Restaurant ein Vorzeigerestaurant machen. Wie gesagt es ist nur eine Momentaufnahme meinerseits. Ein Dankeschön an das Personal. Sie machen einen guten Job. Alle möchte schnell und höflich bedient werden, aber keiner möchte in Küche und Service arbeiten . Die Servicekräfte hier haben uns gut bedient.

Heute darf ich zum vierten Mal in diesem Jahr als DJ zu Gast sein. Tolles Essen, richtig freundlicher Service und immer tolle Brautpaare mit einmaligen Feiern. We went to the goose buffet at Laer's restaurant in Herford – and it was absolutely outstanding! The ambiance is beautiful and very inviting. The food was top-notch, incredibly fresh, and simply delicious. The staff are very friendly, courteous, and attentive, making you feel right at home. The value for money is also excellent. Highly recommended – we'll definitely be back!

Wir waren dort auf einer Hochzeit, und das Essen, die Atmosphäre, das Personal, die Sauberkeit – alles war so toll, dass wir beschlossen, am nächsten Tag dort essen zu gehen. Essen und Service im Verhältnis zum Preis :-( , hat doch schon nachgelassen!

We were a group of six for the asparagus buffet. It was simply sensational. The variety and especially the quality were practically unparalleled. There was boiled and baked white asparagus, and the appetizer section offered asparagus in every imaginable variation. The service and ambiance were excellent. However, it was quite noisy due to the large number of guests. It's a shame that Google Pay isn't accepted. Surely that should be standard in 2024. Update: We also attended the Schwarzenmoor village festival, which took place in the large building. The food and service were of a very high standard. However, the number of guests per square meter should be limited or reduced. Otherwise, the level of service cannot be maintained.

We were fortunate enough to experience a wonderful wedding celebration there.

We were there on Sunday for the Oktoberfest buffet. According to the website, there was supposed to be Obatzda (a kind of meat dish) with pretzels, Bavarian sausage salad, radish salad, pork knuckle, cheese spaetzle, Leberkäse (meatloaf), apple strudel, Bavarian cream, and Kaiserschmarrn (a kind of pancake). Unfortunately, apart from the white sausage, there was nothing Bavarian to be found at the buffet. Furthermore, most of the dishes were either not well seasoned or extremely oversalted. It was also so crowded that the line at the buffet sometimes stretched all the way to the entrance, resulting in long waits. More quantity than quality! A shame! Therefore, unfortunately, only 3 stars.

A very beautiful location. I was there for a wedding, and it was absolutely beautiful. The food was amazing, and the staff was incredibly helpful.

Oktoberfest buffet €34.90. Worth every cent. Large and delicious selection of starters, main courses, and, of course, desserts. Something for everyone. Many thanks also to the attentive service. We'll be back.

We were invited to an event. The venue was fantastic. The barbecue buffet had a great selection and was delicious. The service was excellent.

Highly recommended! The three of us had dinner: one pasta dish, one sumptuous burger, and I had the buffet. All the dishes were of the highest quality, but the buffet blew me away. 😉 It was extremely extensive and so delicious, unbelievable. I particularly liked the salmon, which, although cooked, was still slightly translucent and therefore juicy and buttery. The service was friendly, quick, and very attentive. The prices are quite high, but absolutely reasonable considering the service offered.

There's a wedding and celebration here on Saturday. My wife and I decided to check out this farm restaurant out of curiosity. We ate something from the lunch buffet, but even though we were late, we were still able to get something. The food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't have to pay the full amount that would otherwise have been due for the meal, which I thought was very fair. Now Saturday can come, and we're looking forward to it.

The food is okay to good, but unfortunately the lines are too long, and the drinks are also slow. There are better options.

On July 18, 2025, we celebrated our wedding at the Hofrestaurant von Laer – including a non-denominational ceremony – and we can only say: It was an absolutely perfect day for us! The entire team truly did everything in their power to make this day unforgettable. A special thank you goes to Elisa, our event manager, who supported us not only on the day itself, but also throughout the entire preparation process. She gave her all to make us feel safe – and we did that 100%. We knew we could rely on her. Alexander von Laer himself was also fully committed and wasn't afraid to serve our guests, cut the meat, or help wherever support was needed. The waiters were attentive, friendly, and anticipated our every need. From the first minute to the last, everything was simply perfect. We received consistently positive feedback from our guests – and one sentence was repeated particularly often: "We've never eaten so well at a wedding!" The ambiance, the atmosphere, the service, and the food—everything was perfect and spot on. We would wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone. I'm delighted that my experience with the Hofrestaurant von Laer in Herford is based on my role as a guest at two weddings so far! The location is simply fantastic for this purpose. A "relaxed," authentically rural, rural atmosphere in a very beautiful setting, framed by large meadows, fields, and forest, with a natural pond in the middle, completely melts away my everyday worries. Terraces on the buildings invite you to have conversations on sofas or at bar tables when the weather is nice. The counters where I can order my drinks were staffed by very friendly staff. I know that the music and table decorations were chosen based on recommendations from family. Both options deserve a mention here for their excellent work. (Please forward) I can't personally comment on the food selection because I have a swallowing disability and therefore can't comment on it. Other guests were full of praise, especially since the bride and groom had the opportunity to sample the food, which meant that the choices were predefined on the menus. Parking is available in the courtyard, close to the restaurant, making it easy to walk there. Children will find a lovely large playground and a large meadow to romp around in! The overall atmosphere as a guest at this location is ideal for my unforgettable time.

The food is incredibly delicious. We've been to the Smoker Buffet a few times, and it's always been great. The staff has always been very friendly and attentive. There's also a small playground.

The BBQ buffet was delicious, the ambiance was lovely, and the service was good, despite it being packed. The only downside is that you have to wait a long time for the buffet.

An all-around beautiful location with great, delicious food and friendly service. We had to make a reservation about two months in advance, but it was worth it. A 5/5 if the dessert buffet hadn't run out of strawberries and vanilla ice cream an hour after opening. Given the farm's reputation, we were really looking forward to the strawberries. We'd love to come back anyway – maybe they'll have strawberries then.

We were here for the BBQ smoker buffet. The buffet was very tasty, and the food was plentiful and varied. The food was constantly being replenished. It was good value for money. The staff was friendly and quick.

We went to the BBQ buffet in the courtyard restaurant. The food was delicious, with a large selection of salads, side dishes, and meat/chicken options. Definitely recommended. Since our visit was on a Sunday, it was very busy, so we had to wait a bit at the buffet. The chef (a true restaurateur) recognized the situation and offered an aperitif to those waiting. :) We'll be back.

Overall, we enjoyed it, and the food was very tasty. But the price-performance ratio wasn't good. It was very overpriced.

The buffet and the atmosphere were great! However, I had ordered a dessert and noticed while eating that it contained alcohol. Since I'm pregnant, I didn't finish it and asked the employee which types contained alcohol. I was immediately informed that I had probably gotten a chocolate tiramisu with amaretto, but that there was no alcohol in the other desserts. From the outside, the jar looked like regular chocolate cream, and the varieties were all mixed up and unlabeled (especially when it comes to alcohol, it should be labeled because of children, pregnant women, and illnesses). The desserts could simply be arranged and labeled by type to avoid such misunderstandings. Thanks to the employee who was able to enlighten me about the varieties :)

The outdoor area is a true delight, especially on sunny days. The service was also first-class. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always strives to provide guests with an unforgettable experience. Every request was promptly fulfilled, and the recommendations of the house were always spot on. Overall, a wonderful place that I highly recommend to everyone. We were lucky enough to attend a wedding here as guests. There are no complaints whatsoever. Superb location. Incredibly friendly staff and always attentive. And the food (BBQ buffet) is truly fantastic!

We were there on Sunday for the spaghetti New Year's Eve buffet, followed by coffee and cake. This restaurant is simply fantastic. Great atmosphere Delicious food Excellent and friendly service. Especially the head waiter!!! Thank you for a wonderful day.

A beautiful, idyllic setting and very friendly staff. (I hope they're paid accordingly.) The food is quite good, and the prices are too. There's a playground for children and also nice rooms for parties. The buffet is definitely more expensive than the à la carte menu. The asparagus is sold out immediately, and the BBQ is also quite good. The atmosphere is like being on vacation. Unfortunately, outside of the buffets, there are many weddings that aren't listed on the website. I've been there for free several times. It's better to call.

Great place, great food, nothing to complain about

The best German buffet I know. During asparagus season, it's almost always fully booked. But if the weather's nice, you can spontaneously sit on the terrace. You either have to make a reservation or you're lucky. Always a treat.

Very friendly and courteous staff, very tasty food. The only thing is that it is very loud in the room when it is full.

I was absolutely thrilled with the food! Even as a layperson, you can appreciate the multidimensionality of many of the dishes. You can simply tell that the food was "cooked" in the truest sense of the word! Fantastic!

Cake unfortunately sold out, coffee was okay

Unfortunately, more and more people are being let into the hall. The air quality is very poor, and the acoustics are very loud. The food wasn't as good as usual, and in some areas the selection was pared down. But the selection was still generally good. The asparagus wasn't as good this time, but that was probably due to the dry weather.

A delicious asparagus buffet! We come back every year and were there on the weekend. It's best to reserve early; it's worth it.
