SOY in Berlin

My wife and I love this restaurant. Everything is always fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The service is excellent, and they always accommodate special requests. We've even made a reservation for a large group, and that went smoothly too; everyone's food arrived at the same time, and everyone was very happy.

The food was amazing. Absolutely delicious. The service was also fine. I'll be back. Everything was vegan. 👍🌱🌱🌱

I came all the way from Manchester, England excited to have the Mỳ Quảng soup at Soy in Berlin again. I tried it last year and loved it, so I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, it was a huge letdown this time. The broth tasted like straight coconut milk from a can, with barely any flavour. It seemed rushed. When I asked if they could add more seasoning, all they offered was a lime wedge. The service today wasn’t great either, which made the experience even more disappointing, especially since I brought my friends along for a nice night out. Really expected better. :(

Hands down one of the best Asian restaurants we have ever dined at. I absolutely love the food here and it is a must-visit for me every time I am in Berlin. The staff are very nice and the food is always amazing.

I've been going there for lunch at least once a week for the past 3 years and I love Cari Do.

We had a fantastic gluten-free meal. There was a wide selection of gluten-free dishes. The staff were incredibly friendly and understanding; they even washed the pan again for us and provided gluten-free soy sauce. Absolutely top-notch.

We came here for dinner and were completely satisfied! I was accidentally brought a different drink, but it surprisingly turned out to be the better choice – so we did everything right 😄 The food and drinks were consistently delicious 🤤 The service was extremely fast – as soon as you turned around, the empty plates were cleared away 😅🤷🏻‍♀️ A young, friendly, and attentive team that really made the visit a pleasant one. Highly recommended!

At soy!, you'll find super delicious vegan food in a relaxed atmosphere. I'd especially like to highlight the bao buns… my absolute favorite appetizer, I could eat them all! 😍 The service was generally friendly, but a bit distracted at times, but that doesn't detract from the overall positive impression. If you're looking for creative, fresh, plant-based Vietnamese cuisine, this is definitely the place for you.

Soy Berlin Mitte offers delicious and authentic vegan Vietnamese cuisine in a chic, inviting setting.

We live nearby and eat at Soy every now and then. The food is excellent; we love the selection of small dishes to share. The food is always of consistently good quality, and everything tastes good. What's less pleasant is the service. Once you've been seated (or found one), someone comes quickly, and everyone is always very friendly. But after that, it becomes dull and gloomy. Repeat orders usually only work if you clearly signal, shout, or stand up. Unless you're sitting in the middle of the restaurant, this is as unpleasant as it is time-consuming. I don't like calling for the bill or going in. But it's so simple: just see if someone is looking or discreetly waving. There's clear and huge potential for improvement here.

We had a fantastic evening at Soy. While searching for a vegan restaurant in Berlin Mitte, we not only found what we were looking for, but were very happy with it. We had two delicious lemonades, the steamed udon noodles, the tofu satay, the mango salad, and both desserts. Everything was fantastic! Incredibly delicious and served very quickly. The setting in front of the Volksbühne was another highlight. I highly recommend Soy. Even non-vegans will be completely satisfied here!

Food is on a better side but just make sure when you ask for "still" water, if they bring you a cup of water with a little piece of lime, they charge 2.90 eur for it. Very sinister style of scam that should be called out. The best thing is they actually got a name for that water. Wild world we live in

Food here was absolutely amazing!! We got the tofu in peanut satay, fried dumplings, red curry, and bao buns (ate those before we took a picture) and everything was a hit! I also got the passion iced tea which was wonderful and my partner got a mango smoothie which he also loved! Highly highly recommend, even for non-vegetarians!

The food was actually pretty good, and the service was friendly at first. But then one of the staff started smoking *inside* the restaurant while we were just sitting and talking. It was really unpleasant and kind of ruined the relaxed atmosphere. A shame, because otherwise it was a nice place.

The food at Soy was fresh and delicious. Kudos to the vegan chefs. The service was generally friendly and well-organized, although there was one minor setback: One of the waiters smelled strongly of weed, which seemed irritating and somewhat unprofessional at first. Despite his efforts to be polite to the rest of the team, everything was perfect :) Despite this minor setback, the evening was overall excellent. The atmosphere, food, and service all perfectly matched – with a little more attention to detail, it would have been a solid 5-star experience.

The food tasted good, but some of the portions were really small for the price, even if you don't order the tapas. Especially when it's meatless or fish-free, I can't understand the prices. Other vegan restaurants do better. Unfortunately, the service was also really inattentive, which further reinforced the impression that the value for money wasn't right here. I don't think I'll be coming back.

I recently ate at Soy Berlin and I have to say: The food was truly excellent! Fresh, flavorful, and lovingly prepared – anyone who loves Asian cuisine will definitely get their money's worth here. The selection is creative, and the ambiance is stylish and relaxed. One small downside, however, was the payment. They only accept contactless payments via Apple Pay or Google Pay – neither cash nor physical credit cards are possible. This is unfortunately limiting, especially if you're dropping by spontaneously or just have your regular card with you. All in all, a culinary highlight, but a bit more flexibility in payment methods would be welcome.

After some years, we re-visited Soy and both my friends and I were very disappointed by the food, the yellow curry and udon noodles were tasteless and neither nicely decorated or with high quality ingredients. Both dishes are way to expensive for what you get. There are so many better vegan asian cuisine options in Berlin or near Alex. We will for sure not come back.

So so good! It's a bit pricier then other places but the food was really good. I had steamed dumplings and curry noodles with udon instead of rice noodles. It was superb, also had a cocktail with gin and tea which I really loved. Everything is vegen which I loved but I wish there were more options with just tofu, without seitan and the like which I don't like...

Wir waren im Soy Abendessen. Alle 3 Vorspeisen waren sehr lecker. Die Hauptspeisen waren ebenfalls köstlich! Der Service ist super! Leider muss man mit Bargeld zahlen. Deshalb besser einen Bewirtungsbeleg verlangen ;) Fazit: Absolute Empfehlung! Im Sommer draußen sitzen!

We ordered a dish of noodles with lots of mushrooms and another dish of rice and steamed vegetables separately. It was delicious and the sauce was really uplifting. A little too salty. The waiters are sour.

I'd particularly like to highlight the service: The waiters and the manager were exceptionally attentive – used dishes were cleared away immediately, and all my requests were addressed directly. I felt completely comfortable and welcome. A small note: Card payments are only possible via a QR code – but that was perfectly fine for me, especially since they kindly reminded you of this. Overall, a great vegan restaurant that I highly recommend to everyone. I'll definitely be back!

Bastante agobiante. La comida tenía un sabor promedio y plano, y la elección de verduras en mi udon era cuestionable, por decir lo menos. Las porciones son bastante grandes como cabría esperar, pero la calidad no parecía igualar la factura relativamente cara. Sin embargo, el personal es muy amable y el lugar no estaba ocupado en absoluto para un sábado por la noche.

Excellent vegan Vietnamese food. The ingredients were fresh, high-quality, and varied. The portion was just the right size but so delicious that I could’ve eaten more. Despite being centrally located, the quiet street made it peaceful to dine outdoors. The place seems popular, so be prepared for a crowd. Note: they don’t accept card payments.

Very nice vegan restaurant with tasty food and delicious drinks. What I really appreciated was that they made pho for me tho it wasn't on the actual menu. The broth was one of the best I ever had. It was also very packed on a Friday night which is a good sign, but can get a bit loud in there. Prices are ok. Staff was very friendly but could have paid a bit more attention, but like I said it was crowded so no harsh feelings. I would come back and I recommend this place especially the "secret-menu-pho" 🤭

Seit Jahren gehen wir/gehe ich ins Soy. Das Essen schmeckt mir wirklich gut - was mir seit längerem negativ auffällt ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Die Preise sind angestiegen - soweit ok. Im Gegenzug werden die Portionen stetig kleiner, beim letzten Besuch vor zwei Tagen war es deutlich weniger als vorher. Der Metalltopf mit der Nummer 44 war nicht einmal zur Hälfte gefüllt, die Stücke (Tofu) ließen sich an einer Hand abzählen, der Reis hatte die Menge wie immer. Das finde ich wirklich nicht mehr ok ... wenn das so bleiben sollte, werde ich mir doch andere Restaurants suchen müssen - schade, aber wenn das so gewollt ist - so what ...

Whenever I'm in Berlin, I try to eat here at least once. Every dish so far has been really delicious! Like, “Wow! That’s delicious!” Definitely worth a visit.

The food and drink were ok. But the waitress was very unfriendly. She put the food on the table, not like food, but like it was some object and my friend wasn't even there. That's why I didn't want to leave a tip, but the waitress gave me back a euro short. I won't go there again.

Card payment is only possible via the data octopus “Luca App”. You don't have a card reader. Absolutely customer unfriendly. When asked about it, the waiter says “it’s more environmentally friendly” - seriously?!

Very friendly service. Food is very tasty. We ordered a HotPot for 3 people and were allowed to add more broth for free. There was also a huge plate of various vegetables and tofu, along with flat rice noodles. It is very pleasant to sit there, the seating is comfortable. They even thought up something special for their birthday that wasn't on the menu. Thank you for the lovely experience and delicious food.

Compared to our other vegan restaurant visits, it's not very special. A classic vegan, Vietnamese restaurant, menu rather complicated, no unusual taste, service was okay. We didn't have the feeling that there were really as many seats reserved as claimed and it was more of a marketing strategy. Despite everything, you can't complain about the food. Was delicious.

Nice restaurant with Vietnamese food. Elegant interior. You can communicate with the staff in English. We ordered the dishes at the same time, but received them at different times. Everything was beautifully presented. The dishes were very well seasoned, balanced and very tasty. Portions could have been a little bigger. The downside is that you can't pay by card, we had to calculate the bill ourselves and it was a bit confusing. But overall it's worth stopping by.

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio here is absolutely not right :( the curry just tastes creamy, the seitan is in tiny thin strips, the fried dumplings have hardly any content and everything tastes the same somehow, could also be additives. Unfortunately, I couldn't tolerate the food at all and is very heavy on the stomach for the quality - there are a lot of better addresses in Berlin.
