If I could pull a magic wand out of my pocket, I’d give this a solid 4.5, but let’s be real—that barely scratches the surface of my rave review! My first visit was an absolute treat. The service? Top-notch! The staff were like a friendly bunch of wizards, mixing a sprinkle of charm with a dash of courtesy for a delightfully enchanting experience. And don’t even get me started on the food—it was a kebab lover’s dream come true! If flavor were an Olympic sport, that kebab would be taking home the gold medal. Prices that won’t make your wallet scream? Check! An ambiance that’s just right? Double check! The team was all about that friendliness while juggling efficiency and dropping culture-infused flavor knowledge like pros. Our group felt like we were feasting in a culinary wonderland!

Very tasty food at rather high prices. The portions aren't overly large, but they're sufficient if you order several sides together. All the dishes seem to be of high quality. It's worth noting that you sit very close to your neighbors and it's generally quite loud – you have to like that. Even on weekdays, it gets crowded quickly in the evenings.

Food is solid, but wouldn’t say anything particularly special. Meze style is nice for larger parties, but their pits bread is just meh. Atmosphere feels cramped. We had reservation for two hours but got asked after 1 hour to go to bar literally right after finishing (without being asked for dessert). Service was okayish, not particularly attentive probably given the crowds.

Even though I’m always skeptic regarding trying greek restaurants abroad, the recommendations I had about this one were accurate! Very nice food, great quality and excellent service! Very good Greek wines as well and delicious cheesecake!! A guy called Nikos was a great host and took great care of us! Highly recommended.

The food was simply great - authentic Greek cuisine without unnecessary frills, but with even more taste. I guess they want to make it a bit tapas-like. I like it. Had the Loukaniko (bratwurst) with baked potatoes and it was A DREAM ❤️ The quality of the ingredients is clearly the focus here, and you can tell with every bite. The dishes were freshly prepared, excellently seasoned and had intense, traditional flavors. Particularly noteworthy is the excellent service: attentive, friendly and with a noticeable passion for gastronomy. You don't just feel like a guest here, you feel really welcome and well looked after. For me, this restaurant is definitely one of the best Greek restaurants in the city - an absolute recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic, high-quality Greek cuisine!

Greek food that hits the spot. We were 6, all from different countries, and we all left impressed. The food was delicious, with authentic dishes and ideal for sharing. They also suggest whether is too much or not and what other dishes you can try. The atmosphere is lovely, and in summer I’m sure it’ll be perfect. The service was excellent—super friendly and attentive The value for money is fantastic, which is rare in Munich. I’d definitely go back. Highly recommended!

We waited a long time for a waiter to serve us. Then our drinks were forgotten, the pita bread and the dips were already there, so we didn't have any drinks yet... My starter was later served with the main course, all in a very uncoordinated manner, even if the service was friendly. Apparently it wasn't possible to assign the food to the tables because several times waiters came to our table with dishes and asked if we had ordered the food. What a shame! The food itself was tasty, but also overpriced. Update 1/16/25: the restaurant tried several times to have my review deleted. There are hardly any bad reviews left that you can see. That says everything about the store.

I've easily been here 20 times and I'm always looking forward to eating there! The food is fantastic, and sharing the dishes with several people makes it perfect. Whether it's a birthday, a business lunch or a date - I've never been disappointed. The cheesecake is a real highlight, and the waiters' wine recommendations are always perfect. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Munich!

Not your typical greek restaurant, they have modern variations of dishes. The food was good but portions were on the smaller side. They are ideal for sharing. The vibe in the restaurant is quite busy and stressed. The tables are rather close to each other.

We recently visited a Greek restaurant and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was incredibly warm: dim lights, beautiful music and the feeling of being right in the heart of Greece. All the dishes were simply fantastic – fresh, aromatic and as if they had just been prepared in the Mediterranean. We would particularly like to highlight our waiter – a true professional in his field. He not only knew the menu perfectly, but also talked about each dish with great pleasure and helped us choose the right one for our tastes. His attention to detail and genuine warmth made the evening even more special. We'll definitely be back - this restaurant is now one of our favorites! 🤍💙

The food is incredibly authentic and absolutely delicious. If you’re a group of more than six people, I highly recommend ordering each dish twice to ensure everyone gets enough to enjoy. For me, this is one of the best Greek restaurants in Munich.

Update December 2024: Since they obviously don't value honest and fair reviews below 5 stars, despite my fair three-star review from 2022, instead of accepting the constructive criticism, the restaurant sent a lawyer after me because the Review was allegedly 'defamatory'. Well, luckily I still had the bill and some photos of the visit, which put the accusation to rest. However, there are now two stars deducted because many people will probably give in and delete their review when they read about 'Lawyer'. I'll make up for it a bit. Here is my original review: Very centrally located small restaurant with unusual Greek tapas. The good thing to start with: The food is very tasty and is now served in small bowls a la tapas instead of huge portions. Prices for food and drinks are very high. Unfortunately, it's freezing cold inside, so all the guests are wearing jackets and the music is so loud that you have to shout at each other despite the very cramped conditions. All in all an interesting experience, but I wouldn't go again now.

First time and never again. The waitress was very unfriendly. I ordered a salad. She had so long fingernails that the nail was in my salad, it was so angular and I didn't eat it either. I felt so disgusted and then she made fun of me and was very, very unfriendly...

Great Greek restaurant with an exceptional menu far away from the classics gyros, souflaki & bifteki. Many vegan and even more vegetarian options, exciting wines from Greece. The pita and the cauliflower with almond butter were really special. Incredibly nice waiters and waitresses, we initially ordered too much and were then told that we might be overestimating ourselves - good tip :) Here the guest definitely comes before his wallet. Next time I'm in Munich I would definitely stop by again.

Meze concept. We share everything at the table. We know it from Greece too. Everything is just very consistent. Service very good. And everything was very tasty and well seasoned. If you prefer your Arhen, Athos or whatever record, you've come to the wrong place. Variety and particularly delicious meze are the favorite here. We were very satisfied and will come back.

Every plates are delicious including home made bread. And the ambiance is modern and warm. I'd love to visit again.

Very nice restaurant with a great ambience. Hardly any chances without a reservation. Food is fabulous. Mezze concept with a lot of variety and something for everyone. Since there are no side dishes with the meal, you have many options to help yourself to the large selection. Quality 1A and justified, always a pleasure to visit. The cocktails are also simply fabulous. Despite the hustle and bustle, the waitresses are always there. Keep it up!

Overall, Souxe Meze delivers delicious, skillfully prepared food and a cool, trendy vibe. Great for sharing plates with friends, but be prepared for a significant bill if you want to leave truly satisfied.

The food is very tasty, but the waiters are even more unfriendly. I found the service to be super intrusive. The card was constantly held in front of your face and you were asked to order something else.

SCHLECHTER GRIECHE !! Wo ich seit Jahren gegessen habe. Zaziki, mit Karotten und getrockem Dill, was überhaupt NICHTS drin zum suchen hat, Pita Brot in Öl getränkt. Bifteki geschmacklos mit einer Tomate gestückelt oben drauf OHNE Beilage, vom Keller "normal ". Ich, seit 25 Jahren habe noch NIE so außergewöhnlich schlecht gegessen,( und ich meine Partnerin sind im Monat 2-3× griechisch essen) und der Keller von oben drauf angesprochen war pampig.....nicht zu einer Kritik bereit.... Also so schlecht bedient zu werden,....Der eine Stern nur weil ich die Bewertungen abgegeben wollte das sagt mehr als tausend Worte!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had the chance to try everything on the menu at this Greek restaurant. Starting with the downsides, the tzatziki was a bit disappointing – the flavor just wasn’t quite right. The dolmadaki (or sarma in Turkish) was also underwhelming, as the rice inside wasn’t fully cooked, which it shouldn’t be. Now for the highlights! The zucchini balls, lamb, and chicken kebabs were absolutely fantastic – you should definitely try them; you’ll love every bite. The portions are very generous, so be prepared as you likely won’t be able to finish everything. The atmosphere is lovely, but the place is quite small. We were a large group of 10–12 people, and they had to arrange two separate tables for us, so keep that in mind if you’re planning a group reservation. Overall, a mixed experience, but the standout dishes and cozy ambiance make it worth a visit maybe.

Always worth a visit. I'll definitely be one of the regulars soon. I love going there with a larger group and sharing the mezze. The best are the cheese dishes, the artichoke and the zucchini fritters. But there are also often changing specials.

Even if they continue to pay for the nice reviews, and even if they continue to take the personal data of guests through their reservation system and send lawyers and threaten with penalties, the service and the owner will not be better. We have freedom of speech and it will always win!

I am deeply sorry to leave a bad review because of the rudeness of the owner to my friendly person who tried to cancel a table we had booked for the New Year. As Greeks we have learned that we are the most hospitable, but the owner with his rudeness showed that not all of us are like that. I understand that closing tables for days that are full can be a big stress for the employees of the place but the cancellation was made 2 days before. The mistake may have been yours for not realizing that both tables were cancelled. We don't need to shout on the phones. All the same, too bad because until now in the last few years it has been my favorite food and the service in my person has always been perfect. But we should be equal with everyone and a little more relaxed especially with regular customers. For the owner to send a private WhatsApp message to the girl to give her a Hausverbot because of the review she left about her terrible experience is unacceptable and not legal.

Great restaurant with authentic Greek flavors without exaggeration. Fair quantities at fair prices. The service is amazing, totally polite helpful people willing to answer any question and explain anything. All dishes were served and came very promptly. A favorite dish that stood out was grandma's meatballs, as well as the beef burger. The place is warm and welcoming and there is an open kitchen. It is a balanced and well-thought-out shop, they have not left anything to chance. A Greek would expect to see some Greek elements like "kerasma" at the end but again it wasn't something that bothered us. They have a 2 hour policy for reservations before 9 and it would be good to make a reservation before you go. I recommend it unreservedly to both Greeks and those who want to taste Greek cuisine.

A nice, rather average restaurant where we experienced generally friendly service. The waiters are polite and attentively ask if everything is OK. However, when asked if we liked the food, we mentioned that the octopus tasted burnt and you can clearly see in the photo that it was on the grill a little too long. The only comment that came was “That’s not good”. Maybe €19 for this dish isn't much compared to other restaurants, but the dish should still be carefully prepared so that the guest feels completely comfortable. Our tip: In good restaurants, a small compensation is offered in such cases, be it an alternative or a small dessert on the house. This leaves the guest with a positive impression and is happy to return.

4.50 pm we walk in and ask for the table for four, the place is completely empty, senior man with a bad attitude at the entrance tells us that everything is reserved and we can’t have a table. We call them on the phone to make a reservation and they tell us that we can come in at 5pm. So we wait outside and come in, the rude man keeps being rude and keeps telling us that he cannot give us a table, after telling him that we just made a reservation, he gives us a table while putting up a scene about how he has so many people tonight (which I thought was the point of having a restaurant) and argues for no reason. We left at 7pm and the restaurant was still more than half empty. Customer service -5. The food was mediocre and overpriced. The other staff that served us food was nice. But of course our impression of the restaurant was completely ruined. P.S. They keep deleting this review and I keep fighting with google even after providing receipts. They should really focus on customer service instead.

We were gone by 6:00 p.m. At that time the restaurant was quite empty and the noise was pleasant. However, from 7pm onwards it felt increasingly so. It became narrower and unpleasantly loud. The service was excellent and the staff take great care of the guests' well-being. Greek cuisine is absolutely not my cup of tea - everything is dripping with oil and tastes rather bland.

The slightly different restaurant!

The dishes taste good. But they are really in tapas portions... I think the prices are too high. A very small stuffed pepper with a few potatoes as a warm starter 15.80... I also had rosemary potatoes and pita...but I wasn't really full...with wheat beer 33 euros. At the next table, 2 guests had maybe 5 tapas to share and two non-alcoholic drinks...86 euros total. Nice...tastes good too...portions small...everything too expensive Price performance is not right. Don't go there anymore...was my second time with the same impression.

The combination of ouzo and meze is a love story anyway. But if the friendly staff and the beautiful ambience also come into play, you can only recommend this restaurant.

Always a good and easy place. I like the sharing concept and the food is very nice. Serivce is a bit chaotic and sometimes the waiting time is a bit long (I think they do not have a clear table allocation). But it's certainly a good place also for the family and the kids.

The restaurant is only a 2-3 minute walk from the Münchener Freiheit subway station and therefore has a perfect connection to public transport. There are also paid parking spaces at Münchner Freiheit. The restaurant is large and has a huge terrace. The atmosphere is elegant, inviting and everything is very tastefully decorated. ! The food is intended to be shared in smaller portions. It was simply delicious. Whether with meat, fish or vegetarian - Souxe Meze definitely has something to offer for every taste. If you don't want small dishes to share, you get a small selection of main dishes. The service is very attentive and friendly.

I've been a guest twice in the last few weeks and both times I was absolutely thrilled with the quality of the food, the great ambience outside and especially the great service! I would like to specifically highlight this service because it is exceptionally good! On the first visit it was a very nice and courteous lady from Ukraine and on the second visit it was Natalia who gave us great recommendations and also absolutely impressed us with her courteous manner. Everything is really perfect at Souxe Meze and I would love to come back!

It is very strange for a Greek restaurant to let their customers be seated near to the toilets on a tiny table and be accompanied with a rude waiter! we left immediately and never again.

NOTHING EXCEPTIONAL, BUT OVERALL PRETTY GOOD!

We made reservations 2 days in advance and called early to say we were 10 to 15 minutes late. The lady on the phone said that we were full, then her tone was very bad, so I hung up. She calls back and was very insulting to me. And insulted me for being anti-social. Unfortunately, in my opinion, something like that is not possible at all. I come from the catering industry myself and have never experienced anything like this.

Very mixed feelings about this restaurant. The ambience and furnishings, both inside and outside, are very well done and appealing. The food is delicious and something different than the typical Greek in Munich. You can argue about the price-performance ratio, but you're in Munich-Schwabing and you shouldn't forget that. What doesn't work at all, however, is and remains the staff. Even at the previous location, a corner away, the service was simply unfriendly. However, we tried it again after a long time and it started out strange. One of them said unkindly, "please don't just sit somewhere like that", and that I should wait until I was seated. The second one said “just choose something”. You often notice that the waiters have no chemistry with each other, are always annoyed and even argue, which of course makes the atmosphere sink. Luckily we found a very good waitress, Natalia. Very accommodating, always friendly, takes care of everything with diligence and a smile, explained the new menu very well and didn't forget anything about our orders. As long as she served us, everything was fine. When another waiter had to bring us a beer, he was visibly annoyed again, which changed the mood again. At the end another employee came who, without greeting, without anything, simply said "Everyone has to leave in 20 minutes and everything has to be empty". At that point it's no longer fun...

We dined on the terrace to the side of the restaurant. The place is pleasant. I found the dishes to be good. I loved the moussaka and baklava for dessert. Affordable wine list. A very good memory and a pleasant address in this friendly district of Munich.
