Food very tasty, service very attentive

A very nice, quiet location right on the Sieg River. A beautiful beer garden with plenty of sunny and shady spots. The food arrived very quickly and was absolutely delicious. The service was super friendly and prompt.

Very nicely located, everything is child-friendly and the adults are also served with a smile.

Nebraska is great. The outside area is huge. Space for a lot of guests. It's nice right next to the victory anyway. As a cyclist you can easily find 50 bike racks. The quality of the food is very good. The steak was on point. The fries were at least properly seasoned and not limp. The prices are really reasonable for the quality. Our waiter that evening was great. We had a lot of fun with him. People are also happy to give tips. We'll definitely be back. Clear recommendation.

Any time! Our first visit there. We initially sat outside for an hour and then reserved a table inside. Drinks great, Kölsch well tapped, cocktails well mixed. Food (starters and main courses) for 13 people arrived at the same time, something that many people can no longer do. Nice staff! We were allowed to stay seated long after the last lap, thanks for that.

Disappointing experience despite good conditions Unfortunately, we couldn't really enjoy our visit to Southern Nebraska - even though the weather was wonderful and we had a special occasion to celebrate: a birthday in our group. When asked whether we would like to sit inside or outside, after a moment's consideration we decided on outside. Immediately afterwards, however, we were informed that it would no longer be possible to change seats later - a fairly rigid rule, especially given the many free tables. What's more, without comment, we were seated at the very edge of the outdoor area, without any question as to whether we would prefer to sit in the sun, shade or in a quieter place. We would have liked a little more sensitivity here, especially for a birthday visit. The disappointment continued when ordering: The birthday child had chosen a dish online in advance, but it was not available on the slimmed-down outside menu. There was no previous reference to the limited selection outside, and any concessions or exceptions were categorically rejected - a shame, because a small moment of goodwill would have been appropriate here. Even with the meal itself, not everything was right: one of the portions was significantly smaller than expected. Our inquiry to the boss was also unfortunate - instead of an open conversation, we were told off quite harshly with "I'm the service manager here". A later conversation with the boss only resulted in a handshake and a vague apology, but without any insight or concrete follow-up. The responsible employee was not consulted, which gave us the feeling that our criticism was not really taken seriously. Conclusion: The ambience has potential and the weather would have made for a nice visit - but the lack of flexibility, lack of attention and inadequate communication leaves a bad aftertaste. It's a shame, especially at a birthday dinner.

This was our first time here, so everything refers to a visit. Great service, everything nicely done and lots of places. The food is absolutely ok, but unfortunately not more than that. But the service was really excellent, we haven't experienced such attention in a long time. Another note, some dishes on the menu are marked as vegan, but cheese is not vegan... The menu should be revised again.

Unfortunately the food was served to us cold. Although it looked good, it was tough and dry. Something like that shouldn't happen in a restaurant of this class - unfortunately it significantly tarnished the overall impression.

Four of us had dinner at Southern Nebraska today. The team was consistently friendly and the service was attentive - high praise for that. Unfortunately, the food itself wasn't convincing: it was only served lukewarm and the taste was rather disappointing. Overall, our visit was unfortunately not what we had hoped. For this reason, we would currently not recommend the restaurant.

We were completely thrilled. The food was really, really tasty – every dish was perfectly prepared and tasted a real highlight. The portions are generous, so you'll definitely go home full and satisfied. What struck me particularly positively was that there was a separate children's menu. This is not only practical for families, but also shows that all guests are taken into consideration here. But what really stands out is the service: extremely friendly, attentive and courteous. You feel welcome and well looked after from the first moment. All in all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable visit and I'm sure it won't be the last! Absolute recommendation for all steak lovers and families.

3 stars – thanks to the good Cuba Libre at the end Unfortunately, the food was rather average - nothing that will be remembered. The staff tried hard, but there is still room for improvement in terms of service: If the glass remains empty for a long time, it would have been desirable to ask. Unfortunately, the owner's farewell seemed more forced than warm - no farewell at all would have been better. To be honest, I don't know if I'll come back to eat again. The Cuba Libre saved the evening somewhat. Addendum: A list of the different cooking levels would also be useful.

We were there yesterday with a group of friends and unfortunately it was a complete failure. The starter platter for €20 consisted of frozen food thrown together and the tomahawk steak for €107 and the fillet for over €40 were completely off the order of doneness. We had to let it go back and the tomahawk was at least fine afterwards. Given the prices quoted, you should be able to expect that the steaks will be prepared as desired and that the quality of the other dishes will also be good. Unfortunately it turned out to be a bad experience for me.

Very good selection of steaks and great service

We were there last week, for the first time. My US ribeye, ordered medium rare, was very good, even if the doneness was rather medium, but it was still ok for me. Unfortunately, my wife, who ordered a salad with salmon and shrimp, had the salmon completely cooked to death. Unfortunately, the lemon that was ordered immediately to try to resuscitate us was forgotten by the service and only arrived when we were almost finished. It's a shame, unfortunately that really spoiled the overall impression...

Quality has declined, even with the burger you have to order and pay extra for everything. It was different. Happy hour times are not customer friendly, staff are nice, but don't comply.

Hello, My wife and I went to Southern Nebraska for dinner on Saturday 3/22/25. I have to say in advance that we were happy to have reserved. Although we were there a good half an hour earlier, there would have been some free time. The reception is very American, you have to register with the employee at a desk at the front and are then shown to the table. The restaurant is very large and cozy. Very large menu, everyone will find something to eat here. We personally liked the bar very much, the waiter greeted us in a friendly manner and took the drinks and then the food. My wife chose the Caesar salad with strips of roast beef, I had the Nebraska burger, also with fries and cole slaw salad. First there was bread with a dip. There was also a skewer with 2 shrimps on the burger. The burger was very tasty and was incredibly filling. My wife's salad was also very tasty, the meat was of course medium rare. Unfortunately the portion size was a bit too small for my wife. We have also brought this up. The service was impeccable and very attentive at all times, everyone was very nice. There are enough parking spaces available, and there is a very nice playground for the little ones, which was also used sufficiently. There is also a very large and quiet terrace with a view of the Sieg. The restaurant even has sound insulation on the ceiling, which we personally found to be very pleasant, especially since it got very crowded later and the volume increased. The toilets are very clean. Oh yes, the prices are also completely reasonable. Other than the size of my wife's salad, I would have no hesitation in recommending the visit to Southern Nebraska. Unfortunately failed. Food cold and not cooked as ordered. We also had to wait almost 1.5 hours for food. Sorry guys… the location looks more on the outside than it does on the inside. Not recommended.

Everything was great, we'd love to come back. The prices are completely reasonable, the food is very tasty and the portions are big enough to fill you up. There is also a small playground next to the restaurant, which is clearly visible from the inside. So the children are busy too :) The only drawback are the names for vegetarian dishes. There is a small vegan label there, although the dishes are not vegan but vegetarian. It was a bit confusing for me at first, but as a vegetarian you won't miss out here.

Nice and thoughtful staff. Food was delicious, the steak was cooked to the desired level Atmosphere very good. Unfortunately there was a small defect with the grill plate, hence a star deduction. Update 8.3.25. This time the steak was perfect again, but we had to let the steak warm up because it was only lukewarm. Of course, that worked very quickly and easily, but the star deduction remains. My recommendation to the kitchen would be to preheat the plates. Nevertheless, we would like to come back

Quality of the food was good. The menu with spare ribs, pork steak and beef steak with fries costs just under 34 euros. The fish with the grilled vegetables was just under 37 euros. Due to the high price, the dishes here should have been served with a salad and rice or chips with the fish. Personally, I found it a bit too expensive. The menu with chicken, rice and vegetables was good quality and price. Overall, a bit too expensive for what you got. We would still come back and prefer a citizen's menu or Mexican menu because the price-performance ratio is better.

It was our first time eating at Southern Nebraska and it definitely wasn't the last. The staff were very nice and accommodating and the food exceeded our expectations. It is a must, especially for steak lovers.

Highly recommended. We were there today with 17 people including a few children. The service was really great, incredibly friendly, attentive and really fond of children. The entire staff exudes a special friendliness. The dishes were excellent and very nicely prepared. All 17 dishes were served at the same time, which was wonderful for eating together. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back.

It was my first time eating here, we sat right next to the fireplace, very cozy in winter. The food was very tasty and the service was very friendly. It was a completely successful evening. Since the menu still has a lot to offer, we will definitely come back and can fully recommend it. But you should definitely reserve a table.

Were there in the summer. Finding it is easy, parking is good, sitting outside by the water is fine, food is very fine, service is still OK. :-) We'll be back.

Well, the service and the ambience are fine. The food, on the other hand, is rather poor for its price and the expectations you have regarding the location.

It wasn't my first visit to Southern Nebraska, but I was very disappointed on my last visit. Every now and then there was a starter, but I don't know what criteria are used to get bread with herb butter. On the last visit, the waitress knocked over a drink when you wanted to take away the appetizer plate, which was completely fresh. It can happen and isn't a problem, but all it took was a napkin and a quick sorry. However, I had to pay for the drink in full at the end. Unfortunately there was no accomodation here. However, you have to say that the actual waiters are good, apparently not all of them. I ordered a steak from the 5-year offer including a small salad with herb butter. A real cooking point is sometimes a matter of luck. I like it medium well, sometimes I got it so bloody that it went back again. This time it was fine. On this visit, however, the herb butter was missing, which unfortunately I only noticed very late. The ambience at the entrance and up to the fireplace at the back is very pleasant, you feel comfortable. I think the winter garden is fine at the back, but I wouldn't fill it up in the winter.

Essen ist gut, aber es ist schwierig, wenn man auf E-Stoffe reagiert. Spare Ribs waren ein wenig mager...würde ich nicht nochmal nehmen. Nach zwei Jahren mal wieder dort gewesen und es ist weiterhin schwierig ein Gericht ohne Geschmacks Verstärker zu bekommen. Wie ich mit ein wenig Soße auf dem Doppelburger so viel Probleme bekommen kann.... Ein weiteres Jahr später...heute mal Steak mit Wedges und keine Probleme!

It was very tasty, good portions, nice, non-intrusive service. Nice ambience. One star deduction for the food because all the steaks were no longer really hot, admittedly difficult with 7 pieces at the table but a steak house should be able to manage that. Nevertheless, we would like to come back.

Very tasty food (wraps, burgers, enchiladas, steak). Homemade lemonade is recommended. Very nice atmosphere, cozy with a fireplace in winter, great outdoor area in summer. Plenty of parking available, either directly in front of the door or a short walk down a steeper street

I invited my entire family over for Christmas dinner. Since I had never been there before, it was the first time for my partner and me. The rest of the family has been here several times and will go there again. I wanted to offer everyone something to eat and that's why I chose this steakhouse. My partner and I might go there again on our motorbike in the summer to try out the beer garden, unfortunately there wasn't enough food for us, although the food that evening was delicious.

Cool place, great meat, cooked to perfection New review, were there on December 20th. This time we were really disappointed. My colleague and I ordered the 350g rump steak. Unfortunately the taste was really not good. I have no idea what was previously prepared on the grill. But the taste of the "burnt roast pattern" on the steak, disaster. It didn't taste like steak, but like something burnt. Although the cooking point was good again, unfortunately the rest was not. We both agreed: not any more in the near future. Also.for the price. I hope the grill master changes something and scrubs the grill better

Nice service, nice atmosphere. Unfortunately we weren't happy with the burgers again. The patties were firm and seemed like they came from the supermarket. The beef ribs, on the other hand, were super tender and delicious.

We were very happy with our visit! The rump steaks were cooked perfectly medium, exactly how they should be. As a starter we had the tacos, which were also very tasty. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly and attentive service, which made our stay very pleasant. My son and I felt completely comfortable and had a delicious meal. We definitely recommend this restaurant and would be happy to come back!

Were there for the first time with 4 adults. All main courses (spare ribs, steak, Mexican) were great. Sharing an appetizer platter was no problem. Service very good, unobtrusive, but always there when you needed it. Side dishes cost extra but are a good size. Good table size without the squeezing like in many restaurants where you don't know where to put the food and drinks on the table. Reservation recommended.

I change my previous comment who was a complete 5 stars because the quality of the food drastically went down and the prices raised significantly. We don't have a problem to pay reel money for great food but here it became unworthy. The people working there are still extremely competent and sympathetic, that at least didn't change, but is not enough. The prices are now crazy and abusive for the quality so we go somewhere else and we were very good customers. Einfach schade.
