We were here for dinner. The friendly staff gave us a table even though everything was reserved. My sauerbraten was delicious. We will definitely come back here.

The Old Tower is a highlight. Not only is it very cozy there, the food here is excellent. We have been visiting the restaurant for years. If you like good home-style food, this is the place for you. The portions are plentiful. In terms of quality and price, it's a higher standard for me. We'd love to come back.

Great place! Great service and very tasty food.

A good home-style restaurant with consistently delicious dishes. The beef roulades and the crusty roast were quite convincing, the Wiener schnitzel was also okay, only the breading could have been a little better (crisper, more prompt). The final sophistication is still a bit lacking, the selection of starters isn't entirely convincing (who wants fries as a starter?), but that's a high level of complaint. Great ice cream for dessert! The price is still okay. Short update due to a new visit: the food is still at a very tasty, home-style level! Only the plate language is very dusty with side salad on appetizer plates that are far too small and the obligatory half a pear with cranberries with some of the main courses. Oh and please leave out the completely unnecessary physalis as decoration! 😉 But the following still applies, as it did the first time: Overall 4-4.5 stars!

Beautiful location..fantastic food..great service

Beautiful, cozy location in picturesque Blankenberg. The food (vegetarian Maultaschen and braised ox cheeks) were very tasty. Service was friendly but quite stressful due to staff shortages. So you had to accept some waiting time. But it's not that bad. We'll definitely be back.

The staff was very friendly and everything went quickly. The food was very tasty. Both of my men had roulades with red cabbage and potatoes and my husband said it wasn't enough for the price. Mine was soooo delicious and I was satisfied.

Nice restaurant with a small beer garden directly opposite the restaurant. Unfortunately, the Strawberry Dream will no longer be sold from the beginning of August, and you will only be informed of this when you order it. Otherwise everything is very good.

A cozy place with good service, nice menu. Wine and dishes very good! Found by chance and extremely surprising! The ox cheeks were excellent and so were the side dishes! Everything beautifully prepared, hot and appetizing! We will definitely come back again!

We have been coming here for many years and always enjoy it. Everything is just right here and has been for years... service, quality and ambience... that's what you have to achieve in this day and age! Hats off to you for that and keep it up! Fries are too salty but expensive. Service unfriendly to rude. Quote: "That's too stupid for me" when I wanted a card payment receipt. But the ice cream is very tasty.

The strawberry punch for €5.50 was terrible. Rose sparkling wine with some strawberries.. Completely overpriced. As for the food... We were here several times, but unfortunately they weren't able to offer us a vegetarian tarte flambée. The kitchen is extremely inflexible. That was the last attempt.

A great restaurant, we were there for the first time, it was great, the food was great, the service was super friendly, it was just fun to go there, we will always come back. It's great.

We are always thrilled! As a family of four, we are always extremely satisfied, the atmosphere is very nice and pleasantly familiar, highly recommended even with small children! The service is simply top! The owners are always courteous, motivated, empathetic and warm! The price is always right and the food is always very tasty.

We actually wanted to enjoy the beautiful view of the Siegtal while we ate. But then we decided on the old tower based on the menu... which we didn't regret. The food was delicious, I would have loved to eat up and down the menu, the service was perfect, friendly, fast and considerate. And, for the three children there was their own menu with a coloring picture on the back and crayons. The nice thing about the children's meal was that it was still prepared like an adult meal. With lettuce and sprouts and in sufficient quantities. It's definitely not the last time I've been here.

Always nice to stop off there after a hike. The ice cream comes from our own production and is excellent. Various rooms invite you to celebrate all kinds of events. The whole thing in the wonderful city of Blankenberg. We recommend!

Unzweifelhaft wird hier gut gekocht. Gutbürgerlich, nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Aber semiprofessionelles Personal, welches unfreundlich reagiert, wenn man nach etwas fragt, was nicht auf der Karte steht oder simpelste Benimmregeln nicht kennt, verdirbt den Spaß! Und ein „gehobenes“ Restaurant erkennt man an etwas anderem, als einer überheblich herumstolzierenden „Chefin“. Schade …..

We stopped there after the hike and enjoyed great food, friendly service and very tasty ice cream. I was particularly pleased with the emergency basket in the toilet and the well-equipped changing area for the little ones.

It was very tasty, the Poerion was so big that I took half the schnitzel home with me and am looking forward to it again today, the staff was really friendly, the restaurant was rustic and cozy, there was a beautiful bouquet of flowers on the table, I was more than satisfied .

We went to a restaurant yesterday and our bill included a glass of water but we didn't order it! Unfortunately we only saw this at home! It's a shame we were so deceived

Ambience beautiful. Service very quick and nice. Very nicely and cleanly decorated. Food plentiful and very tasty. The only thing that had fallen apart was the salad, which had probably been in the dressing for a little too long. I'll definitely come back anyway.

We had friends from Slovakia visiting and were able to choose typical German dishes from the varied menu, which were excellently prepared and served very attractively. Vegetarian and vegan dishes were also on offer. It tasted excellent. The atmosphere in the restaurant has a feel-good character. The staff is very friendly and you didn't have to wait long for your order.

Very good food, really tasty but just too expensive

Very cozy and nice and quiet, the service is very nice, I am very enthusiastic about the food, the cabbage roulade is very tender, you can use it without a knife, great with potatoes and red cabbage. You always have to make a reservation it is always very busy 5 stars deserved.

I've been here several times. The hearty German cuisine is simply great. The staff is courteous and friendly. The prices are moderate. All in all, it is a place to remember and to come back to.

Just everything about perfect. The food, the service and the beautiful ambience. My husband says he had the tastiest strawberry cup he has ever eaten in his entire life. The tarte flambée with asparagus was also wonderful. We'd love to come back.

Very nice restaurant with great owners and very nice service staff. Kudos to the kitchen for the consistently tasty dishes. Particularly worthy of mention is the company's own ice cream production, which can compete with any professional Italian ice cream parlor.

After several years I was back in Blankenberg to the old tower. Personally, I like restaurants that have a manageable menu and that's the case here. The food was great and is absolutely recommended.

Great restaurant with perfect service

There is a very nice restaurant in the old tower, very nice staff and very good food. A very great vacation unfortunately came to an end. We will be back.

On Easter Sunday without the hustle and bustle and long waiting times as a company - very good! In a pleasant atmosphere, very good food from the Easter menu for at least not very little money and very friendly service. The only small negative point: Our group was divided into two separate tables, which wasn't so nice.

Here you can enjoy a culinary delight at a high price. Ambience great. Service very friendly and very well trained. Uniform clothing included. As a starter we had the asparagus cream soup. The asparagus probably needed some more sun, which the cook can't do anything about. Tastefully prepared but a little asparagus was missing. As a main course we once had “Medallions of Bergisch Young Pig” and “Baked Potatoes in Pepper Cream Sauce”. Both very tasty and also tasted well. For dessert there was ice cream. We found the price-performance ratio to be unsuccessful. The paper napkin didn't match the food and the price. Starter - 4 stars Main courses - 5 stars Dessert - 3 stars Paper napkin - 2 stars Service - 5 stars Value for money - 3 stars

Beautiful restaurant in an old half-timbered house with a beautiful ambience, cozy seating areas, delicious food and super friendly service. We chose potato pancakes with salmon, sauerbraten with red cabbage and dumplings, as well as ice cream sundae Helene.

The restaurant is always worth a visit when you take a trip to Blankenberg. The food is delicious and the seating is nice, both inside and outside. You should make a reservation on the weekend ;-)

Very cozy, nice service and super tasty food

Wir waren früher gerne hier, aber die neue Preisgestaltung ist einfach nur traurig und überzogen. Also wer hier gern 10€ für ein Stück Möhrenkuchen oder 21€ für 2 Frikadellen zahlen möchte, fühlt euch frei! Aber weder Qualität noch irgendeine MwSt. Anpassung (diese wurde ja auch nur temporär runter gesetzt also gar nicht wirklich erhöht) rechtfertigen die Preise die hier gefordert werden.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and you immediately feel at home. We received a very friendly welcome. The staff and waitresses were very friendly, funny and accommodating and made us immediately feel at home🥳👍 After we placed our order, the drinks arrived. The main course didn't take long to arrive either.😋🍽 After the really fantastic main course, we had to order desserts because of this incredibly delicious dessert menu 😅👍That was really a dream!🥰😋😋Everything around was just great. Conclusion: Food TOP!! Service and friendliness TOP! Price performance TOP! Ambiance and feel-good factor TOP! People like to tip generously here! In short: It is worth it! 👌🍽🥰 We'll definitely be back and will make reservations in advance this time 😉😅😋

For me it is the best restaurant in Hennef and the surrounding area. You can get excellent food here. The taste is really really delicious. The staff is always very courteous and nice. And the best. If you look at the menu you will see dishes that you only see very, very rarely. Not this uniformity but really good traditional German cuisine. Excellent !! I actually never need the menu when we're there because I always take the same thing ;-). Rhenish sauerbraten with dumplings and red cabbage. I'll never get it otherwise :-)

Wir waren heute mit 4 Personen essen, soweit waren wir alle zufrieden. Ich hatte 4 Gutscheine dabei, zwei Gutscheine waren von 2020. Die Inhaberin wollte aber nur noch die Gutscheine akzeptieren, die nicht älter sind wie 3 Jahre. Sie war sehr arrogant und auch nicht bereit ein Kompromiss einzugehen. Damit war es heute das letzte Mal, das wir in diesem Restaurant zu Gast waren.

Wir waren am 2. Weihnachtstag zum Abendessen hier. Wir waren zum erstenmal hier und sehr begeistert; in einem liebevoll weihnachtlich dekoriertem Ambiente haben wir das Abendessen genossen. Auch Dank des guten Service haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden wiederkommen

Seit Jahren bin ich mit meinem Partner regelmäßig Gast zu besonderen Feiertagen oder Anlässe. Das Essen ist durchweg sehr gut und das Preis-Leistung Verhältnis stimmt. Wir haben zum 25.12.23 im Wochen voraus einen Tisch für 2 bestellt. Ein paar Tage vorher hat Frau Drecker meinen Partner nochmals angerufen ob es bei dem Termin bleibt.Er hatte zugesagt und mitgeteilt das wir uns darauf freuen. Auf einmal waren wir uns nach dem Telefonat nicht mehr sicher ob auf einmal vom 26.12.die Rede war. Mein Freund hat in meinem Beisein mit Lautsprecher nochmals gefragt von welchen Weihnachtstag gesprochen wurde. Frau Drecker sagte definitiv der 2.Weihnachtstag.Wir fragten ob der 26. gemeint ist und sie meinte ja der 26.12. Wir dachten wir hätten uns vertan und noch wärend dem Telefonat habe ich den Termin im Kalender auf den zweiten Weihnachtstag verlegt. Alle andere Termine haben wir dann geändert und angepasst. Am 25.12. ruft Frau Drecker um 17.15 Uhr an ob wir noch kommen. Sie war so überzeugend das Sie vom 25. gesprochen hatte, dass wir total perplex gedacht hatten wir hätten uns vertan. Erst als ich in den Kalender schaute habe ich gesehen, dass ich Termin extra auf 26. verschoben hatte. Wahrscheinlich hat sie sich beim nachfragen vertan, weil sie nicht nochmals im Buch geprüft hat. Das Telefon war laut und nach zweimal bestätigen wurde ja von mir Termin angepasst. Trotzdem habe ich eine nette Mail geschrieben, dass es menschlich ist und für uns traurig, dass wir keinen freien Termin für 26. bekommen. Frau Drecker hat nochmals angerufen.Keine Entschuldigung, nicht das es ihr leid tut, nicht das es ein Missverständnis war und auch nicht um zu dagen Sie schaut was sie machen kann. Nein schlimmer:Sie teilt mit, dass sie die Mail so nicht stehen lassen kann, deswegen angerufen wird weil so Fälle wohl öfters vorkommen und redet mit mir als wenn ich einer von Ihren Angestellten bin. Lässt einem gar nicht zu Wort kommen und nicht nur, dass sie felsenfest behauptet, dass Sie vom 25.12.sprach… Nein.. sie behauptet zwei mal Sie hätte mit mir gesprochen.Obwohl ich nie mit ihr telefoniert hatte, sondern im Hintergrund nur mitgehört hatte. Mag sein, dass man bei so einem Restaursnt mit den Mitarbeiter so bestimmend und dominant redet und Fehler nicht zu geben kann. Aber bei Stammgästen oder Gäste überhaupt. Ich habe noch nie in meinem Leben eine schlechte Bewertung geschrieben. Das beste, ich hatte beim Telefonat nur noch eingeschüchtert ja ist gut gesagt.Sie wusste ja das Sie Bescheid geben kann wenn was frei wird und in der Mail hatte ich ja auch geschrieben, dass es schade ist. In Fscebook stand noch am selben Tag: Wegen Krankheit noch 6 Plätze frei. Wahrscheinlich macht man da mehr Umsatz als mit 2 Perdonen die einen 4 er Tisch besetzen. Das ist an Arrogsnz nicht mehr zu überbieten

Ich komme wieder und das ist kaum eine Drohung! Nein es war ein Sau leckeres und reichhaltiges Essen, dass allen sehr gut geschmeckt hat...

Samstagabend vor Weihnachten, die Hölle los, Parkplatzsuche äußerst schwierig, aber dafür kann das Restaurant nichts, ein Riesenlob an die Mädels/Frauen vor Ort, immer superfreundlich trotz Riesenstress, absolut souverän, die Gerichte megalecker, aber der Hammer war die Eissorte Honig-Anis!!! Unbedingt bestellen, sofern verfügbar! Absolut zu empfehlen, wir drohen mit Wiederkehr... ;)

Zu jeder Jahreszeit begeistert dieses Restaurant mit einem saisonalen Angebot, auch für vegetarische Genießer. Besonders empfehlenswert sind für mich die Eisvariationen aus eigener Herstellung!

Ein Besuch im Restaurant Zum alten Turm lohnt sich immer, man sollte in jedem Fall frühzeitig reservieren. Wir haben unser " Gänseessen " dieses Jahr genossen, es passte alles. Danke nochmals für den tollen Service 👍 Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ein Träumchen. Sehr leckeres Essen. Der Koch kann mit Fleisch umgehen. Ich hätte Ochsenbäckchen, das erste Mal in meinem Leben und das war der Hammer! Kuscheliges Ambiente, schon Weihnachtlich dekoriert, flotte, aufmerksame und freundliche Bedienung faire Preise und Last but Not least in netter Runde. Ein absolut gelungener Abend der nach Wiederholung geradezu schreit. IST DAS EIN TOLLES GASTHAUS!!!
