great food, friendly staff and quick service. I went for lunch with a friend and my three year old. The restaurant is super kid friendly, as always. The portions are well sized, prices are up, but that can be said at most restaurants recently. If you are looking for a tasty döner in Barmbek, I can highly recommend Soul Kebab.

I've been testing the shop for a whole year! The quality of the food varies; it can be good, but sometimes it's also terrible... Unfortunately, the staff are very unfriendly. I visited the shop regularly for a whole year and had consistently negative experiences, which is why I'm writing this review. If you order a jumbo doner, you simply get a regular doner for the jumbo doner price. If you ask, the staff becomes extremely fussy and yells at you. Even the boss tries to explain that it's a jumbo doner kebab, not a receptive listener... When a Turkish-speaking person enters the shop, they can simply skip the line that's already been waiting for minutes and are served first. I feel disadvantaged as a non-Turkish speaker; this shouldn't happen anymore these days... In general, the food preparation is simply disgusting. The food is simply slapped haphazardly onto the bread, the sauce is added in scant amounts, and then thrown at the customer... The kitchen area is dirty, some of the employees don't wear gloves when preparing the food, disgusting... All in all, abysmal...

The food was very tasty. We had a kebab plate and a dürüm (dish-like kebab). The food was served quickly, even though it was busy. The atmosphere was mediocre, though; it was a bit cramped and dark. We'd happily go back!

The bread was good, but the kebab was much too small for €8. The staff were very friendly.

I ordered an eggplant skewer, and the guy at the grill dropped a piece of eggplant on the floor in front of me, then simply shoved it back onto the skewer and put it on the grill. I just walked out even though I'd already paid. Never again!

Bad kebab. The meat was ice cold. We wanted the meat seared a bit more because I'm pregnant. Apparently, that wasn't possible. The meat was even a bit pink. We complained, and unfortunately, nothing could be done. Not again.

The shop offers a very large selection of delicious vegan and vegetarian dishes. The service is excellent, and the complimentary tea and pleasant ambiance further contribute to the positive overall impression. A definite recommendation.

When I see this establishment, I'm so angry at Türkiye. I've never seen such a clean and delicious place. Türkiye's gastronomy is nothing but extravagance. I've tried all of their dishes: baked beans, Adana, cop shish kebab, lahmacun, and döner pide, and they're all delicious. The waiters are very friendly, clean, and dedicated. The prices are completely reasonable, just like everywhere else in Hamburg.

We were there on Saturday evening, just the two of us. The place was very busy, but we got a table right away. We didn't have to wait long for the food either. The food was delicious. Unfortunately, the drinks were warm and the glasses were dirty.

The staff are truly unfriendly. We ordered a jumbo kebab. The meat was raw. And it felt like it was only filled with onions. So we just got bread with a bit of raw meat, two arugula leaves, and the rest of the onions. Never again!!

Unfortunately, ketchup is always forgotten or the wrong kind is used.

We eat here frequently and its is always satisfying. The prices, quality of food and service are fine. a casual place for casual dinner.

For me, it's the best Turkish food in Hamburg. Everything is very tasty and fresh. I always enjoy coming back.

Unfortunately, today was very disappointing. For whatever reason, there was no greeting today. The bulgur, rice, tomatoes, and peppers were cold. We mentioned it, but there was no response. We're used to it being different, but we definitely won't be coming back. It's a shame.

So dissatisfied 4 doner kebabs in bread bought all 4 of them wrong the sauces not even on it a small bit of sauce when they ask which salad why do they do it wrong

I ordered a doner kebab to go today. Without any side dishes, but also without rice or fries, it costs the same! When I asked, I was clearly told: "Do you want a side dish or not?" So, without any side dish, I paid €15.90. Yes, the meat is excellent, but it was just meat, a little salad, and a small bowl of tzatziki. €15.90! Too bad, I won't be back!

This was my third time there. The chicken was raw all three times. The service was also poor. The waiter looked very unhappy.

The food was very dry and lacked flavor. A small portion of sauce was included, which tasted okay but was very runny. The salads didn't look very appetizing.

Unfortunately, the visit was very disappointing. I ordered a drink several times, but it wasn't brought. When I finally got a drink in a can and asked for a change, the waiter simply replied, "You have to tell me beforehand!!!" even though I had already repeated my request several times. The service was very poor overall. The waiter barely understood me, was unhelpful, and when I asked for the bill, I had to repeat it several times because he pretended not to hear me. The atmosphere was unpleasant and tense, and no one was friendly. Everyone was in a bad mood, even in the kitchen. I was particularly struck by the lack of hygiene: the area is open, everything is exposed to smoke and the smell of food, and the floor was visibly dirty and stained—absolutely unhygienic. Even worse: In the kitchen, the employees first played with their beards and then immediately touched the food with their bare hands. This is a health hazard and absolutely not acceptable. I definitely cannot recommend this restaurant.

A restaurant in Hamburg that I've been to many times and that I can recommend. I've known this restaurant for about 6-7 years; the products are very successful. Although the waiters weren't great at first, I can say that they've done a very good job in recent years with the changing waiters. Of course, the prices have increased, as in all restaurants, and I don't think it will ever return to the old levels because the owners are quite cruel in this regard. Nevertheless, I give it high marks for the polite waiters and the master chef. My real score is 3-4 because of the prices.

I love this place!! Every year when I visit Hamburg, I make sure to get in my kebab at least once or twice. Their halloumi doner is absolutely amazing!

Unfortunately, a very bad experience. As a regular customer, I ordered two doner kebabs. The delivery man accused me of paying with counterfeit money – which turned out to be counterfeit (the police investigated). He then became aggressive, banged on my door, and assaulted me. The police were called. Later, they offered me the option of not filing a complaint – in return, we would receive free doner kebabs for life. Absolutely dubious and unacceptable.

The skewer actually looked pretty good, but as is often the case in Hamburg, there was no roasted flavor at all. And that's no wonder when the man with the knife, or rather the machine, immediately cuts it after minimal roasting, then immediately cuts another round from the skewer, completely without any color, according to the motto "as long as it's not raw"!!! On top of that, if you ask how you want your Dürüm, then you should make it that way, just tomato and onions, it's not that difficult. And I was surprised when my number was called, because I thought I could see that they weren't following the rules. So I asked and was promptly lied to. It had cucumber and arugula in it. The cucumber completely wiped out the flavor, which was already not overly present. Thank you for this fantastic experience! Conclusion: Don't treat yourself!!! For a high-end price, there's no product that lives up to this.

I was there several times two years ago, and the food was always really delicious. I was there again and was simply ignored for ten minutes, even though it wasn't busy. The employee preferred to clean the grill. Eventually, I was able to order from him. I wanted a doner kebab and tzatziki separately. He replied that tzatziki costs extra. I explained to him that I didn't want anything extra. He stuck to the extra 0.50 cents and said it's like that in every restaurant. Just very unfriendly and zero service. The doner kebab didn't taste good, and I left it after two bites. They won't see me there again.

The doner kebab and chai were very good. The doner kebab box was also impressive. Only the chai was initially forgotten, but was then kindly brought back free of charge.

Very tasty food, the atmosphere is nicer than in most other kebab shops.

I ordered a mixed platter and wanted veal or fries instead of rice. Last time the food was perfect but not this time. The lamb skewers were not cooked through and the chicken cutlet was not cooked either.

The kebab was delicious. Ordering takeaway on a workday at lunchtime was quick and easy.

One of the must-visit spots when you're in Hamburg. The döner is both delicious and quite hygienic. The place has a barbecue and serves all kinds of kebabs. I highly recommend the mixed kebab. The prices are also quite reasonable. You get what you pay for.

I've been coming here for many years and have often had good meals. Unfortunately, one waiter was a bit unfriendly, but the food was tasty and the price was reasonable. The plates used to say Barmbeg instead of Barmbek, but otherwise, I can't complain.

I've been there many times, whether for pick-up or eating in, the kebab is always outstanding.

Received meat twice, some of which were raw. They wanted to rush through the queue. The staff were very rude. Because they were busy, they didn't ask me about sauces, even though I was standing in front of them. I realized afterwards that this was supposed to be for me. I paid €20 for my meal and €10 for drinks. I didn't use their capacity and ate outside their restaurant area. Then they treated people disrespectfully. My food was dry.

They charged me 10.50 euro for a small Linsensuppe and rice. 3.50 euro just for the rice!

The kebab is good, but the staff is extremely unfriendly. They look down on customers and treat them like dirt. Hygiene regulations are also not being followed, and it's pure chaos.

I wanted to eat a kebab with friends. Because one of the group ordered takeout, we were kicked out of the shop even though it was empty. The excuse was that one of them had ordered takeout. Extremely unfriendly staff. I wouldn't recommend it, and I'd rather starve than eat here again. Also, the shop is dirty and smells. There are rats running around in the restroom. If I see this shop in such a state again, I'll notify the police.

Ufo Döner was solid - No disappointment, but also no highlight (relatively expensive)

I was very pleasantly surprised, because the food there is top-notch. I hadn't expected it to be so good...so I definitely give it a try. Opening hours are only Mon-Fri.

Doner kebab distribution was bad at the top only meat and at the bottom only vegetables. The taste was also not convincing for the price. Service wasn't really friendly in my opinion. Only the ambience was fine.

Some of the employees are hard to beat when it comes to disrespect. You get the feeling that the staff is making fun of the guests. You're welcome to do that - but please do so so that the guests don't notice. Here, women are either looked at askance or addressed as “sweetie” or “beautiful” without being asked and sometimes farewell with an air kiss. I was able to experience that myself and found it very invasive. What is particularly noticeable is a short, unkempt man who works there every evening. I also saw him not washing his hands after using the toilet downstairs in the restaurant - very unhygienic and absolutely unacceptable. I don't even want to talk about the food. Fried foods like halloumi, fries or börek are really underground. They are totally greasy, undercooked and all end up tasting like stale fat.

I usually hold back on negative reviews, but after two unpleasant visits to this restaurant, I feel compelled to share my impressions. During my first visit a few years ago - even though wearing masks was already voluntary at the time - I was repeatedly asked by an employee to take off my mask. My suggestion that I could decide for myself was commented on in what I considered an inappropriate tone. I recently gave the restaurant a second chance. Unfortunately, I once again had the feeling that my questions were not answered in a friendly manner. When I politely asked about the filling of a börek, I was repeatedly told something in Turkish that I didn't understand. When I politely asked for an explanation, I felt the response was impatient and harsh. I remained respectful in both cases, but I felt like I wasn't treated equally. The quality of the food is okay, but for me appreciative treatment is also part of the dining experience. Unfortunately I didn't experience this one. I have therefore decided not to visit the restaurant again in the future.

When we came to the Hamburg bus station from Frankfurt at around 8:00 in the morning on April 23, 2025, my wife and I drank coffee and ate bagels here. The young man who served was from Diyarbakir and treated us with great respect. On April 24, at 13:30 at noon, my wife first went to the toilet to drink coffee and then she was going to drink coffee. After I entered the toilet, while I was about to go to the toilet, a middle-aged man with a black, dry face appeared in front of me and said 1 euro. I told him that I was waiting for my wife, then when your wife came out, she said she would give me 1 euro. When she realized that I was a Turk, she shouted and called. When my wife came out, I did not make her buy coffee or food. We paid for it even though there was no sign for 1 Euro for the toilet. I condemn this person who made such a discrimination and I request the institution to show the necessary attitude towards this person so that your name will not be harmed. Disrespectful employees. After repeated requests, tea is served on a dirty table. After I asked to clean the table, I was disrespectfully told off in Turkish.

The food didn't taste good at all. I can't recommend anyone to eat here. We also had to wait 40 minutes for the food.

Both waiters don't take the order seriously, on Sunday April 6th at 2:30 p.m. hächnenspiws durum was simply brought without sauce even though it was ordered with a can, kofta in the bread despite the fact that it was mentioned when ordering that it wasn't supposed to be the same salad from the kebab but rather the extra thing with dead parsley and onions. They simply gave all the salad that you get with the kebab and have it with korektur. The simply repeated the same made normal chicken doner complete cold. This store has seriously screwed up extremely service is 000000000000

Very nice staff, except for the lady at the checkout, she didn't radiate any friendliness and was visibly annoyed and rude. There are many dishes on offer here and everything looks very fresh. Other dishes probably taste good, but my kebab was neither tasty nor professionally packaged. The flatbread, way too soft, not crispy, no taste and everything together. Way too much sauce slapped on it. So I don't recommend kebab (in flatbread) here!

I've tried to get food from this restaurant several times over the past few weeks, on different days, at different times. Not once was this successful; Every time I stood around for 5-10 minutes in the counter area where people were waiting in a poorly organized manner to order or pick up things and I left without having accomplished anything because time doesn't grow on trees and I usually had to move on promptly. The staff made no attempt to bring order to the chaos, and the cashier was always just grumpy and, in my opinion, rude. I still wish the company all the best, it seems to be going well, but for me the issue has been completely resolved.

Me and my girlfriend met Soulkebab 2 weeks ago. Since then we have been totally hooked! In addition to the kebap, dürüm, and pide, we are in love with the grill plate. Home delivery is also quite quick! Thanks for the great food ☺️

The food is delicious. I've been there a few times. The service, well, some of the waiters or the young man who waited there today was a complete disaster. Unfriendly, sometimes uninterested attitude and cheeky. After today's experience and the waiter's disrespect, it was the last time we went there. The boss should choose his employees better.

The dürum isn't really great. Why do you put so little lettuce in it, and then 80 percent of it is just onions? It was so sloppy, at most there was a cup of filling in it. That was true of all the ones we ordered. Unfortunately, it was below average.

If you like it sweet, you can look forward to baklava or Sütlac. Of course, real Turkish mocha and tea should not be missing. Soulkebab Barmbek is a clear recommendation for fans of Turkish cuisine!

The shop is actually quite okay, the food comes quicker than the drink, but the waiter doesn't really listen and doesn't feel like doing his job and forgets the sauce and the salad tastes like it's been there for 3 days

We marched into the store in the middle of the night with 11 people to end a birthday and just eat something together. We were welcomed with open arms and warm hearts. The tables were immediately rearranged so that we could all find space and a birthday song was even sung. In addition to the very nice employees, the food was also very tasty.

Doner is ok! Sauces very sweet, poultry very tasty, veal not. Adana Kebab great, real charcoal grill. Modern ambience, previously loud and uncomfortable but now thanks to the expansion you can also dine relatively quietly.

I like to pick up my favorite dish personally. No matter when and how crowded it is, I've never had to wait long. It was always super tasty. The team's pace is really fast, every move is perfect. If you go in there in a good mood, you'll come out in an even better mood :-) Keep it up and please keep the prices up!
