Very nice place with amazing food in affordable prices, very friendly staff and atmospheric music and decoration. We needed to wait quite a lot for our food but it was definitely worth it :) also vegan and vegetarian friendly

The African food deserves 5 stars, the bowls and fries are average. The service was actually nice, the only thing that was strange was the response to the not-too-short tip of "Okay" instead of "Thanks" or something like that. What was not serious, but what was serious was that despite being told three times (!) and confirmed again when asked, the vegetarian food we ordered was not as vegetarian as ordered. Unfortunately we only noticed it when we got home and when we wanted to return it at 8 p.m. the store was already closed (the opening times on Google aren't correct and aren't on the flyer).

Great food, very friendly owner. Always my pleasure. Eritrean cuisine that guests should indulge in when they are there. Then the guest gets his money's worth. Fufu and Ashanti were delicious. The mango bowl was also very good.

Wir waren am ersten Tag der Eröffnung mit einer großen Gruppe da und allen hat es unglaublich gut geschmeckt. Nicht nur das Essen überzeugt zu 100% auch die Gastgeber sind einfach super freundlich. Wir wünschen ganz viel Erfolg und werden sehr bald wiederkommen.

Durfte bei der Eröffnung dabei sein und was soll ich sagen, Stimmung und Essen eine 10 von 10! Sehr liebevoll arrangiert und einfach nur leckomio schmackhaft gewesen. Einzige konstruktive Kritik ist das Restaurant-Makeover, da darf noch etwas am Dekor gemacht werden, war etwas "leer". Sonst alles top!

The kebab was super tasty. The staff was very nice and friendly. You immediately feel comfortable. The store also looks nice and clean. I'll definitely come back. Highly recommended!

We stayed in this hotel from February 2nd to February 7th, 2025. It is a very nice, centrally located hotel in the old town of Heidelberg. Our room was quiet and spacious. The breakfast can still be improved. If you arrive by train, you can reach the hotel in about 15 minutes. If you have the train station behind you, or rather look straight ahead at the Neckar, just go left to the Old Bridge. Immediately left again and left again.

Dear Hotel Management, I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment regarding the treatment my companion and I received during our recent stay at Wohlfühl-Hotel Neu Heidelberg. Our experience was not only unsatisfactory but also alarming and completely unacceptable for any guest. Upon check-in, we found our room in a visibly neglected state excessively dusty, as if it had not been cleaned or used in a considerable amount of time. While such situations may occur, it is your responsibility to ensure that rooms are thoroughly cleaned and ready before being assigned, especially when the reservation is made well in advance. However, what followed was far more troubling. On the evening of April 17 of this year , we returned to the hotel shortly after 10:00 PM. The reception was unattended, and we did not have keys, as we were meant to change rooms that evening. We followed your protocol and called the emergency number provided. The manager arrived, but instead of resolving the issue with professionalism, he behaved in an aggressive and hostile manner. He shouted at us and, shockingly, ordered us to leave the hotel at 11:00 PM. His reaction was not only unprofessional, it placed us in an unsafe situation late at night in a foreign city. This level of conduct from hotel management is indefensible. No guest should ever be subjected to such treatment, regardless of the circumstances. Moreover, I cannot help but question whether our nationality may have influenced the manager’s behavior. As non-German guests, it is difficult to ignore the impression that we were treated with less respect, perhaps reflecting prejudices from the past, that regrettably, still persist in some corners of German society. This concern must be taken seriously. I am formally requesting a written apology from the hotel, as well as an explanation of the internal actions being taken to ensure this does not happen again. I would appreciate a response within 7 days of this email. Should I not receive a satisfactory reply, I will not hesitate to escalate this matter through the appropriate consumer and tourism authorities, as well as share this experience publicly across all major travel review platforms.
