We've been coming here ever since it opened. In my opinion, it's one of the best ramen shops in the Western Hemisphere. The tsukemen (not pictured) are divine. You just need a bit of luck to get a table: the place is quite small and fills up quickly. But if necessary, they also offer all their dishes for takeaway.

All the dishes on the menu are incredibly delicious and authentic. The place is a bit small, but that's what makes it so cozy. I've been coming here since it opened. My only complaint is the location. Anyone from Frankfurt can probably guess why.

For me personally, this is the best ramen shop in Frankfurt so far. I absolutely love their ramen! The staff is very friendly and everything is served very quickly. It's best to make a reservation at lunchtime. The shop is quite small and rather cramped, but somehow that's part of the atmosphere. Everything is great! A bright spot in the otherwise rather dreary Bahnhofsviertel (station district).

Sorihashiya serves truly excellent, homemade ramen. The thin, handcrafted noodles have a wonderful texture, and the broth is flavorful and rich. The egg is cooked to perfection—soft on the outside, with a beautifully creamy yolk inside. What I do miss are toppings like beef or chicken. The gyoza were okay, but nothing special. Overall, very authentic, very tasty, and a place I'll gladly visit again.

This is where you can eat the best ramen in Frankfurt. The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the food is great.

Delicious food and thoughtfully prepared products. However, it's a very small venue, so when it's busy, you'll often find yourself sharing a table with strangers. Consequently, it's quite noisy. The aisles between the tables are narrow, forcing staff and other guests to squeeze in. Therefore, it's not suitable for a relaxed date or for anyone wanting to have a conversation while eating. It's better suited for a quick meal, as the dining time is limited to one hour.

The ramen was delicious; the broth had a rich and well-balanced flavor. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the portion was generous. Unfortunately, the pork was bland and somewhat disappointing. Therefore, the ramen only gets four stars. 🍜

Tried ordering online, no response for 2 times. 3rd time accepted it. We reaches there and there's only 1 waitress and full of customers. The waitress is nice, even though she doesn't speak English. We got the food and brought back to the hotel. The noodles are real homemade😍! Have not had homemade noodles ever since leaving Asia to Ireland. My soup is extremely rich in grilled fish flavour🥰, but abit over concentrated(salty). The dipping noodles are of different dough to the soup noodles, I hope that they could sell this noodle to take home too. We ordered 2 bundles of raw ramen noodles to bring back to Ireland on our last day. Cooked it, there is egg flavour in it🥰. A bit of trouble during cooking it (instructions are in German), the noodles stick together😅. Now I understand why ramen chefs have to keep swirling the raw noodles while cooking it in water (not soup water) and drain away the starchy water. I miss the noodles.

Very comfortable online ordering and payment system. Great to come here with friends colleagues or just alone after a long day. Such thick soup base and wonderful Japanese soft boiled egg.

I do not recommend this place to anyone who cares about cleanliness, hygiene, and their health… We visited this restaurant today and ordered Ajitama. Unfortunately, when my friend was about to start eating, a huge cockroach came out of his plate. It was honestly shocking and disgusting. The staff replaced the dish, but after seeing that, I couldn’t eat my own food anymore. I was deeply disappointed, especially because my Japanese friend invited us here to introduce us to Japanese cuisine. He felt really embarrassed, and the whole experience was ruined. This kind of incident shows a serious lack of hygiene… it was just a wasted money and unpleasant experience…

The ramen here is very delicious, but keep in mind that the restaurant focuses on traditional dishes. They also offer a vegan option, which is highly recommended. I found the portion size to be quite small, especially compared to other spots in the area. For a larger portion of noodles, you'll need to pay an extra €2. The restaurant is often full, so reservations are recommended. This also makes it quite noisy. The service is friendly, but you can sometimes have a long wait for your order or for reorders. Once you're finished with your meal, the table is cleared away very quickly and you're asked for payment. All in all, a very good ramen spot for lunch in the Bahnhofsviertel district, but especially in terms of atmosphere and service, there are nicer alternatives in Frankfurt if you want a relaxed dinner.

This is a delicious Japanese ramen 🍜 I can't believe I can eat ramen of this flavor at this price in Frankfurt..! It might be a little salty for Korean palates, but it was really delicious 👍 I think I'll visit again on a day when I want to eat warm soup.

Ramen is superb (right size, soup is tasty not overpowering, with hint of yuzu). Tsukemen is also good, with springy and chewy noodles. It is best to eat it cold which contrasts the hot ramen. The egg is also legit and a must try. Lastly, the noodles seem to be in-house. Overall, great experience for us and we will definitely come back! Update: They updated their menu. Not sure if they tweaked the recipes but the ramen tasted even better, as well as the Chasu bowl. If you’re lucky and they have the yuzu noodle option available, don’t miss it. Update 2: Still the best ramen/tsukemen I tasted so far in EU. I noticed though that the egg/tamago became more like almost hardboiled eggs. Originally they were runny eggs marinated in soy which was perfect for me. Update 3: Food is still great. Service is good as well. But the size of the restaurant is really a hindrance now. It’s hard to get a seat without reservation. We were turned away recently.

In other people's photos, the bamboo shoots were on the noodles, but mine was served without them. Environment: I went in during peak lunchtime on a weekday. There were about 20 seats inside the restaurant, and there was a wait of four people, but I was able to get in after about 10 minutes, so the turnover wasn't bad. The volume of the J-pop music and the local voices were ear-splitting. As it's a restaurant, water is charged separately. Taste: I ordered tsukemen. By Japanese standards, the noodles lacked firmness and were like stretched somen noodles... This was disappointing as I wanted to taste the wheat. Perhaps I should have requested firmness in the ordering preference section. The soup was lukewarm and the portion was small, perhaps due to local adaptation. I could taste the richness of the seafood. No soup-wari (diluted soup). There was cabbage in the noodles, which made the soup seem a bit too sweet, so it might not be to everyone's taste.

Atmosphere could be improved as they played really loud mainstream music when I dined in. I could hardly concentrate on my ramen and wanted to finish as soon as possible to get out of here. The fish broth was too fishy and not elegant, instead of tasting the depths of flavor of the broth, all I tasted was the fishiness. Overall edible but it was not good enough. The additional yuzu could be more fine as it can easily becomes very pungent in mouth if the yuzu pieces are too thick. Same goes to the scallions, the experience would be a lot better if they were more thinly chopped. Chashu was well cooked and the noodle was good.

My first ramen here since returning from Japan (July 25). And I've been to Sorihashiya before. Again, very tasty and very authentic! Special broths, very spicy and delicious. I ordered "to-go" yesterday, and everything was carefully packaged separately, including instructions on how to prepare the noodles. It went smoothly at home (a two-hour train ride later) and was still very delicious. I'll be bringing ramen home more often :)

The ramen restaurant is about a 5-minute walk from Frankfurt Central Station. It's very busy, so be prepared to wait or make a reservation in advance. The food is authentic Japanese, as is the restaurant team. Therefore, the service may only speak English and Japanese. For me personally, this is a plus, as it completes the mini-vacation feeling! So if you're looking for a culinary getaway to Japan, this is the place for you.

It was neither good nor bad. But the char siu bowl was just right for my palate, which is quite hungry.

I stopped by here for the first time on my way back from a trip while transferring at Chuo Station, and had some tsukemen. Personally, I thought the soup could have been a little sweeter, but it was well-balanced with a seafood aroma and just the right amount of richness. I would have preferred the noodles to be a little thicker, but they were handmade, so they had a nice chewy texture and were delicious. Next time, I'd like to try the ramen. Thank you for the meal.

An absolute taste experience! This ramen restaurant offers authentic Japanese cuisine at its finest. I had the shoyu ramen with the ajitama egg – simply fantastic! I left the restaurant overjoyed and can highly recommend it. Anyone who wants to experience authentic Japanese ramen should definitely stop by here – I'll definitely be back!

The staff was very friendly, typical of Japan. The ambiance was good for the area 👍 The food was served promptly. Everything was clean. What bothered me was that it wasn't mentioned that some of the ingredients were served separately from the soup, and you had to mix them together yourself. Forty-five minutes was plenty for us, but otherwise, you'd have to finish your meal in an hour. Nice experience, but it's not Japan.

Unfortunately, my visit was very disappointing. I ordered medium noodles, but was served wide noodles. When I politely complained, the waiter simply replied with a curt "no" and left without offering a solution. I find such behavior to be uncustomer-oriented. Based on this experience, I will not visit the restaurant again.

I'd never had Gyokai Tsukemen like this before, but they were a real hit. The atmosphere was very reminiscent of a Tokyo ramen bar. The food came very quickly and was delicious. I came here spontaneously following a recommendation and will definitely come back with my wife and try the ramen, too. Tip for beginners: There are also instructions for beginners on how to eat.

Umakara Ramen Ajitama added is delicious. It reminds me of stir-fried pork and kimchi. It's really delicious. Good.

I didn't eat that much chicken white soup in Japan, but I was honestly impressed that the taste was comparable to the chicken white soup I had in Japan. Both the noodles and the soup were delicious! The amount of soup seemed a little small, so as someone who usually drinks up the soup, I would have liked to savor the flavor a little longer.

This time, I ordered the tsukemen, as recommended by the staff. Even a Japanese person could enjoy the tsukemen without any worries. Many locals also came to the restaurant, and they were lining up before it even opened. It was nice to see so many locals enjoying authentic Japanese food!

I had Gyokai normal ramen and it was one of the best in Germany in my opinion. Very authentic and delicious. The price is also very reasonable. Good experience!!

Little ramen place in heart of Frankfurt. The restaurant is small so you need to wait a bit for a table to be available. They have four main ramen dishes with additional ingredients you can add. We tried most of them and quality was in general good. The staffs are a bit under stress as they are only one or two who gets the order and service too. But they are very nice and helpful in general. The ramen broth specifically the vegan version was quite unique!

It was full of incredible attention to detail, as you can see from the website. The dipping sauce for the tsukemen is salty with a strong flavor, so the original sweetness of the ingredients, such as the homemade extra thick whole wheat noodles, the exquisite boiled cabbage, and the roasted pork with a fragrant grilled finish, stands out and is very delicious. Also, since it is made without artificial additives and has little fat, the aftertaste is relatively refreshing. I felt that they were particular about not using the typical taste of back fat and sweetness. The pork slices on the bowl were also filled with soft boiled pork. This one is also not strangely sweet, so you can really taste the rice. There are more and more authentic ramen restaurants in Germany, but I think this one stands out in terms of its attention to ramen. I'm really looking forward to the end of the lockdown and being able to eat ramen at the store. ———————— 2021/06 Addendum They've opened a terrace seating area, so I went there! The ramen is seafood-based like the tsukemen, but the sweetness of the chicken soup is more pronounced. The roasted chicken pork also has a savory aroma, like charcoal-grilled yakitori, and is delicious. It's topped with yuzu, just like the tsukemen, but the table condiments include pepper, chili pepper, and sansho pepper, so the store offers a wider range of flavor variations and I was able to eat it all the way to the end without getting bored. Also, I personally want to mention the vegan ramen. It's soy milk sesame tantan noodles, but it has a gentle flavor without garlic, and the soup is so satisfying that it's almost vegan? The minced soy meat with ginger and the chewy homemade noodles all come together well, which I really like. It's absolutely delicious whether you eat it spicy with lots of chili oil or with chilled noodles, so I hope it becomes a staple!

The staff is extremely polite, the place is cozy and the ramen is perfect - really flavorful with really nice chewy noodles. And the kimchi was a great surprise - topped with some sesame oil; maybe that's the way you do it but it's a first for me. Thank you for such a good meal!

Summer-only cold Chinese noodles! It was great to have something refreshing on a scorching hot day 🙌🏻 However, when I asked the staff about the anniversary special plans, they didn't seem to understand and kept saying "I'll check it out," which was disappointing. Best Tsukemen (dipping noodles) in town. It‘s more addictive than the crack in Bahnhofsviertel but in a good way. And it is much better for you. I will be back as often as I can.
