Sophia's Restaurant & Bar in München

Beautiful ambiance and nice uniforms for the waiters, although they were occasionally very slow. Unfortunately, the music was loud, coming from a band with a trombone (!), making conversation very difficult. The food was highly variable, despite the small menu: the starters, for example, the beef tartare, were a dream, but the main courses were extremely variable: great chicken, unimaginative artichokes, and a tiny portion for a main course! As for dessert, the tiramisu was unspeakable: Dry, crumbly chocolate cake, topped with a thick layer of mascarpone, and finally, an orange slice as the crowning glory. A disgrace!

atmosphere was excellent but we waited over an hour for our entrees to arrive (30 mins after finishing the appetizers) and the linguine was not that impressive.

We visited on a weekday and tried the lunch set menu, "Uno, Due, Tre." The food was enjoyable, especially the homemade pasta with tomato and mozzarella sauce, which stood out for its fresh flavor. One thing to note: the lunch set menu isn’t offered automatically—you’ll need to ask for it. Also, while the set includes a "soft drink," mineral water is not included, which may come as a surprise. It’s understandable that the restaurant aims to maintain revenue beyond the set menu, though this approach may come across as slightly out of step with the otherwise elegant atmosphere.

We spent a couple of hours in the Zogarren Lounge. After a long time, a Davidoff and a few glasses of tequila.

Not worth it. Food was just OK, would’ve expected more given the price. Service was very slow, took us 2 hours to do our lunch. Staff forgot part of the order and on top of it gave us the wrong check. Would not return.

Extremely long waits, 1.5-2 hrs for all items. Spaghetti was overly oily and was just OK. The tomatoes were lifeless though. Same as desserts and other items. Everything filtered together into an overwhelming ‘meh’. Staff forgot an item and put wrong items onto check. Atmosphere also consisted of crying babies and dirty utensils.

The ambiance was nothing special, the chairs and benches were extremely uncomfortable, we waited 2 hours for food, and after a complaint, another 50 minutes. The service reacted disinterestedly to the situation, the food was completely unspectacular, the price/performance ratio was in no way fair, and to top it all off, we were given the wrong receipt. A bitter disappointment. Never again!

Complete disappointment! Service: We waited 50 minutes for the appetizers and then another 70 minutes for the main course, even though the restaurant was largely empty. When we asked, we were politely put off, but nothing changed. Food: All four appetizers were good, but unspectacular. Main courses: 3 good, 1 unacceptable: "Pollo alla Milanese" turned into a dry "Chicken McNuggets" for €39. Ambience: Dignified, befitting a 5-star hotel, but lacking flair. A minor detail: The overly long seats of the chairs and benches make it impossible for a 183cm tall person to lean comfortably. All guests in the dining room had to sit upright throughout the evening. Conclusion: Long wait, overall mediocre food, uncomfortable seats, poor value.

The food was really good, but compared to other restaurants, it lacked that final touch. However, the service was very attentive and the ambiance was very nice, and don't get me wrong: the food was great...

Lovely restaurant. The waiters are very friendly, smiling and easy to talk to. The atmosphere is cozy and has some nice furniture and music. The food and wine were excellent, very tasty and flavourful!

Top-quality 5* hotel service by a maître d' and sommelier. Accompanying wines are very innovative and highly recommended.

We were at Florio for lunch. Four tables were occupied at the time. Ambience: beautiful, both inside and out. The bar also looks very inviting. Food: 1 veal cheek was unfortunately dry inside, and the truffle puree didn't taste of truffles at all. Our purees were cold. The purée we ordered afterwards was warm, though. No idea why the previous ones were cold. Otherwise, the food was delicious. Service: would have liked to have spoken German. The hostess couldn't speak a word of German, nor could our chef. In Germany, I would like to speak and order in German in a restaurant. Our reservation couldn't be found. No matter, we got a table. It took over 40 minutes to get our food. Our waitress never asked us if everything was okay, nor did she come over once. The additional mashed potatoes we ordered arrived almost 15 minutes later. At the end we were offered an espresso on the house, which we declined.

We had a wonderful evening! Above all, the service was super attentive and the wines perfectly matched the food. We'll definitely be back.

I recently had lunch here and unfortunately, the experience was far below expectations — particularly considering it was meant to be a business meal. The service was extremely slow: we waited 40 minutes just to be served a simple salad, which consisted of only greens with a bit of dressing. Then came another 30-minute wait for the main dish, which was a small portion of fish served without any sides — and this was all part of the pre-set lunch menu. One of our guests had to leave before even receiving their main course, as we had already been waiting far too long. Shockingly, the staff didn’t even bother to remove the unused plate or acknowledge the issue. To add to the frustration, the menu clearly stated that “soft included”, but we were still charged for the water — apparently because they don’t consider water a “soft drink.” Overall, the food was mediocre at best, and the poor service made it an uncomfortable and disappointing experience. Definitely not a place I would recommend for business lunches — or any lunch, frankly.

For our 8th wedding anniversary, we tried this new Italian restaurant and it was a hit. The ambiance, with its 6-meter-high ceilings and enormous olive trees between the tables, deserves nothing less than 5 stars. Although the wait between the starter and main course was bearable, we were immediately offered a glass of wine on the house as compensation. Service, in other words, 6 stars+. For the main course, the young bull steak with pepper sauce was a revelation, but as a fanatical espresso nerd, I have to give special praise to the truly perfect espresso (in a cup with too thin a side :-))! Finally, just before we left, we were greeted with a sweet anniversary surprise. A fantastic evening, thanks to the team!

Unfortunately very disappointed with our experience. When ordering our dinner, the waitress told us that our pasta choice (raviolis) was basic and then proceeded to tell us to order the spaghetti which simply had tomatoes. After not being able to change our mind, she told us 2 out of the 4 pastas were “no longer available” without apology. So unprofessional to tell us our choice was “basic” for the wrong reason. The chicken milanese, although cooked nicely came in 4 small pieces of chicken tenders sitting on a bed of lettuce. The “saffron risotto cake” that accompanies was hard, cold and uneatable. No one asked us how the food was or why we left the risotto untouched. On a positive note, the cocktails were delicious and the hostess was extremely sweet. Sadly won’t be returning.

I attended Florios “Dog Brunch” and it was fantastic! The food was exquisite, ranging from your typical breakfast buffet with everything your heart desires to the bavarian classic “weisswürste” and delicous pastries. On top continous food was served “a la table” which included lighter bites such as arancini and salmon tatar aswell as full sized (!) entrees including steak or branzino! The Service was also excellent! The whole team catered to our wishes and were extremely attentive! Overall a fantastic experience and definite recommendation!

Florio is a truly beautiful and tranquil spot for any occasion. Whether for brunch, lunch, or even dinner, it's definitely worth a visit. Both the food and service are worthy of a restaurant at a Leading Hotel/Roccoforte Hotel. A definite recommendation!

We stayed in Munich for 6 days and been there twice. Polite staff and great food. Plus they brought me GF bread because I couldn’t share the bread with my family .

The service is extremely slow and the place smells like fish . Its a pity because its a beautiful terrace. If you have kids bring them with you for lunch they can go play at the playground across the road

Best Italian meal I've had to date Servers were great with their vegetarian recommendations and helped my mother pick a suitable glass of wine to pair with the meal. Will definitely come back, great way to end my Munich trip

Ahora se llama Florio Restaurant en la calle Charles hotel Munich. De principio a fin, mi cena en Florio fue perfecta. Comencé con el entrante de espárragos y el sarro de atún, ambos exquisitamente frescos y bellamente presentados, un equilibrio perfecto de sabor y textura. Para el plato principal, las mejillas de ternera se derritieron - en - su - boca tierna y rica con profundidad, claramente lento - cocinado a la perfección. Y el tiramisú... un absoluto sobresaliente: aireado, cremoso y con el toque justo de dulzura.

From start to finish, my dinner at Florio was flawless. I began with the asparagus starter and tuna tartar, both exquisitely fresh and beautifully presented — a perfect balance of flavor and texture. For the main course, the veal cheeks were melt-in-your-mouth tender and rich with depth, clearly slow-cooked to perfection. And the tiramisu… an absolute standout — airy, creamy, and just the right touch of sweetness.

Absolutely amazing time with some selections made by Dennis! Loved this bar! Try the Cold Coast, the Alessandro, or the Mescal old fashioned!

Disappointing Experience – Does Not Live Up to Its 5-Star Ambition (German version below) Florio presents itself as a five-star restaurant, but unfortunately, it does not meet that standard. The service was underwhelming – staff members spoke neither German nor fluent English, which made communication unnecessarily difficult. The exaggerated performance of being "authentic Italians" felt more theatrical than genuine and detracted from the overall experience. The food was average at best, lacking both finesse and flavor to justify the high expectations set by the restaurant's image. Additionally, the interior design came across as kitschy rather than stylish or inviting. All in all, Florio fails to deliver on its promises and does not justify the premium positioning it claims. Disappointing experience - Doesn't live up to the standard of 5 stars The Florio claims to be a five-star restaurant, but cannot live up to this claim. The service was disappointing – the staff spoke neither German nor sufficient English, which made communication unnecessarily difficult. The exaggerated presentation of "real Italians" seemed more artificial than authentic and did not contribute positively to the overall experience. The food was mediocre at best – neither in terms of taste nor craftsmanship convincing enough to meet the high expectations the restaurant itself creates. The ambiance also seemed more kitsch than stylish. Overall, Florio falls far short of its promises and does not live up to its self-chosen premium image.

Dining at Florio was a truly memorable experience. Beautiful luxurious ambiance whether indoor or the outdoor part of the restaurant . The outdoor terrace is very serene ,quite having the hotel is in the middle of a busy town .Surrounded with big old trees is just a luxurios place to enjoy calm dining , lunchdates or a business lunch . Definitely my favourite spot in Munich .

We had a table for 6 people for lunch. The premises are beautiful and this restaurant is certainly a good place to have sensitive conversations. The food corresponds to what you would expect in this price category, but nothing more. I had Spaghetti Pommodore (€30) and there was nothing wrong with the taste. My neighbor at the table, an older man of 90, ordered the red snapper. Now to the service: I ordered mashed potatoes with olive oil as a starter, but it didn't come. The gentleman next to me forgot to order side dishes with his fish. The waiter, who after 10 minutes only spoke English, could have given a hint. In fact, it almost didn't matter because I then got the mashed potatoes with the spaghetti, and I was happy to put them with the red snapper - somehow it fits better. Nobody refilled drinks and it wasn't possible to order a bottle of water. A meal was forgotten and arrived 15 minutes later. We had to ask for the dessert menu and also to be allowed to order the dessert. Then it happened, a young waitress tried to get past the older lady. After the lady didn't understand immediately, the waitress rolled her eyes in annoyance. There is simply a lack of respect and education here. There are hardly any dishes for vegetarians, which is surprising, especially in an Italian restaurant.

Got to know this amazing restaurant thanks to cocktail X event, and ended up staying for an amazing evening. Everything was perfect, and can't wait to be back!

The service was truly wonderful, very attentive and interested and polite in every way. We were completely satisfied with our stay, also a big thank you to the kitchen and the team at Florio! The atmosphere is unique and you feel very comfortable. Any time!

In any other country this restaurant would have at least 4.8 stars, only in the land of complainers it is only 4.5. I don't understand how you can only give this 4 stars. Maybe these are mainly spoiled upper-class people who could simply be a little more grateful for what they can afford with their money. The restaurant is a real eye-catcher, the olive trees create a pleasant atmosphere in the evening. The decoration is carefully selected. It is a cozy and elegant atmosphere. The service is first class. We were warmly welcomed, our jackets were taken away and we were repeatedly greeted politely by every person serving. The waiters do a great job. The food was terrific. The scallops, the burata salad, the Milanese schnitzel and the pumpkin ravioli are recommended. Fresh, a taste explosion and creative. The prices are a bit high, but it's worth it. For this service and this quality. They could even be higher.

First of all, I made dinner reservations for New Year’s Eve at 6:45 but when we got there they told us dinner didn’t start until 7. We went to the bar and had some drinks to wait it out. 30 minutes go by and I realize people are being seated for dinner so I sent my boyfriend to check it out. They told him they were ready for seat us now. We sat down and find out it’s a champagne pairing with a five course meal. We aren’t fans of champagne but decided it would be fine in hopes it complimented the food well. The five course meal was severely underwhelming. The flavors left a lot to be desired and for the €555 euro price tag I expected to be WOWed. I would have liked for someone to mention it was a five course meal and champagne pairing when I made the reservation. If you’re going to charge Michelin star prices then I expect Michelin star level food and service. I would not recommend anyone to go here even if the prices were just €55! If I’m spending over €1k for dinner it better be one of the best experiences of my life and honestly I can say it was mediocre at best.

Beautiful restaurant - unfortunately we could not enjoy the main room and had to stay at the bar. There was a misunderstanding in our reservation - we thought we booked a table for 8pm, but they told us we did it for 8am. Why would anyone make a breakfast reservation is a mystery for me. Since the confirmation system didn't add am or pm after "8:00", we didn't pay attention to it. EU uses 20:00 for 8:00 pm, and we were not aware. They were able to accommodate us at the bar but since it was a special celebration night, we were a bit disappointed. Service was very friendly and the food was good for bar fare. It took about 45 min to get our meals ready, though. Busy night, and it looked like they prioritized the guests at the restaurant Vs at the bar. Very detailed allergen information on the menu, which is great. They could add more dairy free / vegan options.

Amazing staff went yesterday to celebrate my sister’s birthday before our flight back to Toronto. The staff was friendly great hospitality will recommend to all family and friends.

Went to the brunch on Sunday and we were unfortunately a bit disappointed. We always used to go to the Christmas brunch when it was still Sofia‘s which was amazing but this one now unfortunately doesn’t come close.. We’d be happy to pay 89€ plus 40€ for champagne if they would pay more attention to a few details: - only 2 main courses (salmon & duck) and one vegetarian option: pasta with pesto which I would find ridiculous if I was vegetarian (there aren’t many vegetarian options anyways and hardly anything vegan). - half of the food was cold. - cheese had a fly on it and as it had been outside for a while it was really dry - pastries (pain au chocolat & raisin twist) must have been placed close to cheese before as they just tasted like cheese & were super dry. The rest was ok but compared to how it used to be there were only half as many options as at Sophia‘s which is really a pity as the location and the band are really great! As this was their first brunch we really hope they will take our feedback into consideration, work on improving it and make it into the awesome brunch again that it used to be!

Delicious and fine/classy. Both the ambience, food and service. I thought the artichokes were very good, as was the hamachi sashimi. Overall just under 4.5, therefore 4 points.

My husband and I loved it. The food tastes very good and is very well presented. The atmosphere is elegant and the staff extremely friendly. Their uniforms are also very elegant. It has great little details on the table. The tiramisu was delicious.

Good place for business lunch or dinner in a rather formal atmosphere. High ceilings and nice interior. Well organized as you would expect. Food is good but I would not rate the value for price as good. 50 Euro for a main course at lunch time which is OK but not much more seems a bit outrageous even for Munich. Still, if you do not care, it is a good place to take customers or business visitors.

Sophia’s was renamed Florio with updated decor and menu . Think it as still a work in progress as some items were wonderful and others , a shrimp pasta very heavy and unfortunately served barely warm . Hope it just needs some time to figure everything out as we have loved it in the past

You may be skeptical of Italian in Germany, but this is a hidden gem. Elevated cozy atmosphere and high quality food. The seasonal options keep the menu fresh and the service is top notch. Perfect place for a relaxed and delicious meal.

Newly opened in the posh Charles Hotel in Munich, our expectations were high. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the rooms are beautifully designed. The service was extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, some of the wines listed on the wine list were not available. The sommelier only came after the starter with the white wine that had been ordered as a substitute, as we had to search for it for a long time. The prices of the dishes are very high and even if the tomatoes in the Spaghetti al Pomodoro appear to be hand-plucked according to the menu, €25 is a pound for a Munich fine Italian restaurant. All starters tasted decent, but were far from outstanding. The braised veal cheeks, on the other hand, were extremely good! When it came to dessert, the first thing that caught the eye was the prices, e.g. €16 for a tiramisu. To put it bluntly: we don't skimp on food, but the price and performance are not right here. It remains to be seen whether the concept will work in this form.

Gran experiencia. Personal muy amable y atento. El camarero leyó mi mente y mezcló un buen aperitivo no alcohólico, sin necesidad de hacer muchas preguntas en absoluto. Tuvimos sopa, luego pasta como primer plato, luego el filete Wagyu junto con varias guarniciones y un Tiramisu encantador después. Me encanta el hecho de que usaran chocolates Valrhona para adornar el Tiramisu. Todo estaba en su punto de principio a fin. Muy recomendable.

I went there for my wife's birthday with my 4 year old daughter. All of us loved the experience. The staff helped us to choose vegetarian food and wine to go with it. They gave color book to my daughter that kept her busy until food arrived, and once it did my daughter finished the plate :) My wife loved all courses and specially liked the wine. Complementary cake at the end was cherry on top. We will definitely come back and recommend others to try

Wie waren mit einer Gruppe von 6 Leuten unterwegs und wurden wirklich hervorragend bedient und waren von der Qualität und Vielfalt der Gerichte positiv überrascht. Die Karte ist nicht überlang (was ich persönlich eher gut finde), Extrawünsche wurden aber sehr zuvirkommend erfüllt. Weinkarte übersichtlich aber ausreichend. Mehre sehr gute Chamapagner glasweise möglich. Preise sind ambitioniert aber Preis-Leistung in Ordnung. Der Raum ist etwas sehr offen (Raumhöhe), aber es gibt auch Tische am Rand mit mehr Kuschelfaktor. Wenn man sich etwas Besonderes gönnen will, wirklich eine valide Option.

I had previously enjoyed coming here, not due to the great food but due to the convenience as I am a neighbour of the hotel. However it seems with a multitude of changes to staff the food has developed from average to a health hazard. I ate a pasta with gambero rosso which was okay. The aftermath however was not enjoyable with food poisoning the next morning. I had not eaten anything apart from this so it could not have been anything else. This was also diagnosed by a doctor. I called the restaurant to kindly inform them of what had happened in the hope that they would seek to rectify this and ensure something like this would not occur again. Sadly, the response was truly unacceptable. After first informing them and speaking to the manager, the manager cut the conversation short saying he will call me back. This did not occur for two days until the executive head chef called me to inform me that it was impossible that I could have gotten food poisoning from his dish since the prawns were shock frosted on board the ship in Italy and only defrosted as required on the day of serving. While that may all be true it does not change the facts and something may have gone wrong in the process which is also possible and understandable instead of accusing me of wrongdoing. A client orientated team would have said ‘we apologise for what has happened and are investigating what could have been the cause. Could we invite you over to our restaurant again’. This should especially happen with a regular who lives next door and has been going there due to convenience for years. I think this self righteous behaviour and lack of customer centricity probably explains why the restaurant is always empty which is a shame.

Sophia's restaurant, located inside Charles Hotel, offers modern Italian cuisine with fresh ingredients. The ambience here is unparalleled with plenty of greenery, natural lighting and high ceiling. Infact, the restaurant overlooks the Old Botanical Garden in Munich. We called for the Galleto Ripieno (chicken breast), Polpo Alla Griglia (Grilled Octopus), Fiori Di Zucca Ripieni (filled zucchini flowers) and a Tagliolini. The food was delicious (except for the small portions!). The service was extremely friendly and quick. They also offer a fantastic breakfast menu. Overall, an enjoyable experience for lunch on Sunday.

По случаю семейного праздника мы запланировали небольшое путешествие по Верхней Баварии и Тиролю в ожидании новых мест и впечатлений. Но так получилось, что главное впечатление было от прекрасных ресторанов Роттах-Эгерна и Инсбрука, в которых мы ужинали; каждый стоил того, чтобы приехать специально. А лучший нас "поджидал" в отеле Мюнхена, где мы остановились на ночь перед возвращением. Мы попробовали настолько интересные, яркие блюда, - при этом повара сохранили исходные вкусы продуктов, - что это сложно описать! Каждая мелочь, капелька соуса, все ингредиенты сложных гарниров сочетались в чудесном балансе. Трудно что-то выделить, но меня особенно удивило, как можно из пресноватой куриной грудки приготовить такую вкуснотищу. Цены тут могли бы шокировать, если бы не настолько потрясающая еда!

Sehr schicke Atmosphäre und aufmerksamen und höflichen Service

My go to leave for mid week lunch. Chef special is great value for money and always tasty and well presented.

Second visit at the end of February. A larger society. We are even more excited than the first time. This restaurant is an absolute “must have seen”. Tiny criticism: we were now sitting at the window. The slices go all the way to the floor. That's why cars that stop there shine unpleasantly into the guest room. Here I would like a dark film on the window that prevents the cold blue lighting of feet and legs under the tables at waist height. A restaurant at star level. Easily accessible by subway between main station and Königsplatz. There was a lot of distance between the tables so it was always possible to chat. Very attentive service staff who were able to make recommendations. Day menu and "normal" menu, wine menu, but no women's menu (but that would be possible if you book in advance). We got our food at the same time, unfortunately not a given. The taste is unbeatable and everything is coordinated. The wines also left nothing to be desired.

Exzellente Küche - Thurnfisch Tartar; Oktopus sowie alle Fischgerichte sind der Hammer, tolles Ambiente, nicht voll, sehr aufmerksamer Service.

Valentinsabend mit Menü - wir haben uns sehr darauf gefreut. Das Servicepersonal ist sehr nett und die Location sehr schön. Vom Essen waren wir insgesamt mehr als enttäuscht. Bei einem Preis von >300 EUR (ohne Alkohol) zu Zweit kann man wirklich eine exzellente Küche erwarten. Das Menü war einfach mittelmäßig, der Geschmack der einzelnen Gänge nicht besonders raffiniert gemacht. Wir hatten uns deutlich mehr erwartet. Vielleicht ist es besser, dort à la carte zu essen, also ein vorbestimmtes Menü. Da stimmt einfach das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis nicht. Wir hatten uns mit diversen Freunden am Valentinsabend hin- und hergeschrieben, die bei zur gleichen Zeit zum gleichen Anlass in anderen Restaurants (Käfer, Bogenhausener Hof, Vianolo) in München gegessen haben. Die Fotos der einzelnen Gänge sahen alls deutlich schöner aus und alle waren begeistert. Schade, dass wir das im Sophia's nicht auch hatten, dafür aber die höchste Rechnung.

Tolles Restaurant (im Charles-Hotel), durch-gestylt und aufs Detail schön eingerichtet. Wir sind dort ins neue Jahr „gerutscht“… ein schönes Erlebnis! Geniale Ambiente, die Küche ist „Sterne-verdächtig“, die Servicemitarbeiter professionell diskret. Das 6-Gang Champagner-Menu war kaum zu topen! (Hier ein herzliches Dankeschön an die Küche!!) Das grosse, fast zehn Minuten dauernde Feuerwerk war wirklich beeindruckend, die Band äussert genial! Wir haben es sehr genossen, vielen Dank. Wir waren das erste Mal im „Sophias“.. wir kommen wieder!!

Отличный ресторан при отеле. Ресторан работают как для гостей отеля так и для сторонних посетителей. Завтраки для гостей отеля проходят в нем же. Ресторан подойдет как для взрослых так и для детей с наличием детского меню. Прекрасная атмосфера располагает к приятному общению, а изысканные блюда и быстрое и внимательное обслуживание приятно радует. Винная карта не очень большая но под ваши предпочтения подберут и посоветуют множество вин которых нет в карте но есть в винном запасе ресторана. Ресторана не имеет звезд Мишлен и его нет в гиде Мишлен, но я бы рекомендовал присмотреться к ресторану и однозначно рекомендую его к посещению. Спасибо за теплую атмосферу и уют подаренный вами за время нашего нахождения в отеле и в Мюнхене ;)

Sehr schönes Restaurant, hervorragende Küche und sehr aufmerksamer Service. Die Klimaanlage war etwas zu kühl eingestellt, wir haben nach dem dritten Gang etwas „gefröstelt“. (Der Champagner hat aber innerlich gewärmt 😋) Aber.., die Speisen sind kaum zu topen und das gemütliche Ambiente bleibt in Erinnerung. Die Mitarbeiter im Restaurant professionell aufmerksam und diskret. Die Küche hat „Sterne“ verdient. War ein schönes Erlebnis.., besten Dank!

We had an early Christmas dinner here in 12/23. The food and service were wonderful.

Alles war sehr entspannt und sehr freundlicher, aufmerksamer Service. Wir kommen gerne wieder zum Brunch.

Sophia’s Restaurant & Bar has been my little pit stop for lunch the 2 times I have been in Munich. Munich can be pretty cold but I always feel the warmth from the staff when I’m in their establishment. Service was excellent as expected and because I was a lone diner, the attentive servers would come check up on me. I had the 2-course lunch menu which for me was just the right amount of food coupled with 2 glasses of wine and a coffee with a variety of delicious chocolates to end off the meal. The burrata with the charred chicoree was well balanced while the chicken “dumpling” dish was like comfort food for the cold, grey day. I would have personally preferred more proteins within both dishes but it was reasonable for what was offered. Some restaurants may not be creating mind blowing, out of this world dishes but rather, they exist to uphold and sometimes elevate the classics. Sophia’s to me has always been about the “hug” that its food brings me and I thoroughly enjoyed going back there.

Das Essen war gut, aber nicht überwältigend. Eine Beilage war versalzen, aber trotz Feedback beim Abräumen, keine Reaktion. Ansonsten war der Service gut. Der Kuchen zum Geburtstag war eine sehr aufmerksame Geste. Ambiente an sich elegant, nur die Menükarten passen hierzu nicht und müssten dringend ersetzt werden. Insgesamt stimmt einfach die Preis-Leistung nicht. Deshalb mit 3/5 insgesamt eine gute Bewertung.

Fantastisches Essen, wunderschönes Restaurant und toller Service! Mir wurde kurzfristig, sogar noch ein Champagner besorgt, welcher eigentlich nicht auf der Karte steht. Wirklich fantastisch!

Wirklich schönes Restaurant tolles Frühstück und tolle teatime/ Abendessen, nur die Einrichtung könnte hier und da überholt werden. Und zugegeben die Speisekarten müssten wirklich nicht so beschädigt sein.

Food was great, I was not fond of one of the appetizers but others liked it. It was very busy so drink service was very slow, everything else was great.

Gegessen haben wir leider nicht aber einen schönen entspannten Abend in der Bar verbracht. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und die Drinks mit Liebe zubereitet.

Absolut nichts was ich negatives zu sagen fände. Das Essen ist saisonal und erlesen. Die Karte ist übersichtlich und gut strukturiert. Die Weinkarte ist Europa-Zentriert und es ist für jeden Geschmack was dabei. Der Service ist zuvorkommend und dennoch unaufdringlich und der Rahmen ist diskret luxuriös gehalten. Wahrscheinlich ideal für ein Tête à Tête geeignet funktioniert es auch für einen wundervollen Abend mit Freunden.

Ich war für ein Mittagessen im Sophia's zu Gast und hatte einen sehr schönen Lunch, angefangen mit der herzlichen Begrüßung im Hotel, über den netten Service der ständig ein Lächeln im Gesicht hatte bis hin zur außerordentlichen kulinarischen Leistung des Küchenteams. Die authentischen Pastagerichte (Ravioli cacio e pepe') und auch die moderne Interpretation von Steinbutt mit Bergamotte und Venusmuscheln waren aufgezeichnet.. Ich komme gerne wieder! Ein Hotelrestaurant mit italienischer Küche. Das Essen zeugt vom Anspruch der Küche etwas Außergewöhnliches bieten zu wollen ohne in experimentelles Zusammenrühren abzudriften. Die Vorspeise, der Hauptgang, das Dessert und die Grüße aus der Küche waren von Geschmack, Zubereitung und Präsentation wirklich wunderbar. Die Weinkarte konnte ebenfalls mithalten. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den Service. Wir wurden superschnell, super freundlich und extrem professionell bedient und beraten. An einem der Nachbartische bekam auch eine größere Gruppe von Gästen das Essen gleichzeitig. Wir waren begeistert und freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

Es war eine angenehme Atmosphäre, Service unauffällig gut, die Speisen waren sehr gut zubereitet, die Portionen angemessen.

Wir kennen dieses Restaurant von früheren Besuchen und Aufenthalten im Charles Hotel. Auch bei diesen Besuchen waren wir schon zufrieden. Jetzt aber waren wir begeistert. Die Qualität der Speisen war großartig. Vom Geschmack und Zubereitung bis zur Optik der einzelnen Gerichte war alles sehr gut. Auch der Service erfüllte in allen Belangen unsere Erwartungen. Interesting and eclectic menu. Food well prepared and portions on the generous side. Odd wine selection- very little but house wines by the glass and a long list of inexpensive and very expensive wines. Service friendly but not very attentive. Very high prices across the board.
