The food was ok not special . I’ve had much better Korean food here in Frankfurt. What really bothered me, though, was how I was treated when I walked in. Before I could even step fully inside, the Asian girl at the counter asked if she could help me, in a way that made me feel like I wasn’t supposed to be there. It felt like I was being racially profiled, and it left a bad taste in my mouth before I even got to the food.

The food was delicious and the staff were friendly.

It's been a long time since I was there, probably 10 years, but I remember it well. We sat outside, the service was very good, and the slices of Lotus were particularly delicious. I think I'll have to go back this week. To be continued.

I wholeheartedly recommend it.

A very tasty Korean restaurant that is deservedly popular - it is better to book a table in advance. We tried bulgogi with chicken and bibimbap with beef. It is nice that you can choose the meat to your taste, and bibimbap is also available in a vegan version. The presentation of the dishes is impressive - your appetite awakens as soon as the food is brought to the table. Everything is fresh, aromatic and with a bright taste. An excellent choice for lovers of Korean cuisine!

I highly recommend this place! You can enjoy carefully prepared Korean food in a relaxed atmosphere. It's popular not only with locals but also with people from overseas, and it's amazing how they've managed to maintain a stylish atmosphere while still serving high quality food. It's perfect for those times when you want to experience Korean culture but also want a slightly more elegant experience. It's great for both special occasion meals and casual meals, so it's definitely worth remembering!

Even though our table was reserved for another half hour, we were asked to pay without even asking for the bill. This is beyond unprofessional. The food is okay.

There are a few dishes that are somewhat similar to Korean food, but something like Kimchi-jjigae, for example, tastes nothing like the real thing. I was slightly hopeful, but as expected – it’s China-style. It’s a restaurant run by Chinese people imitating Korean cuisine, not offering authentic Korean food.

Food was amazing! Portion was very good, bi bim bap was very tasty. There is also vegetarian option. Only chairs are not that comfortable. But otherwise everything was great!

Very friendly service. Had the Dop Bap as recommended. An absolutely well-rounded dish, well-balanced ratio of vegetables and meat, slightly spicy. In addition to rice and kimchi, fermented radish, cabbage and pickled potatoes are served to add yourself or simply as a side dish. Definitely again 😊

Last week my family and I ate at Sonamu Restaurant. Overall it was a mixed experience. The homemade drinks “Lemonade Rhababer” and “Ginger” were unfortunately quite bland and could have used a little more flavor. There were four of us and we ordered four dishes: Dak Gang Jeong was way too sweet – without the slightly salty note and the added vegetables, it could have been a chicken dessert. Kim Sam Bok was ok but nothing special. O Zing O Bokkeum was also pretty average. Bulgogi duck: Unfortunately, the duck breast meat was a bit tough. The side dishes such as kimchi, potatoes and rice were included in the price and could be ordered free of charge - a nice service. As far as the service is concerned, the employees were extremely friendly, attentive and helpful - that deserves high praise!

Food was ok. We waited an hour for our food. Ambience is ok. Very simply furnished. Toilet is very narrow and dirty. Maybe I'll give them another chance.

We were pleasantly surprised. The selection may not be that big, but I think it's a good thing. For many dishes you can choose which side dishes you want or whether you want them spicy. The conditions are very nice and friendly. You don't have to wait very long for the starters either. I can only recommend the homemade lemonade with ginger flavor.👌 When we were there, you could only pay with cash.

A visit to the Sonamu restaurant is definitely worth an experience - but you should definitely make a reservation in advance. 👍😊👏 The first time I went there were no free seats, which shows how popular the place is. 💯✨🎉 The food was consistently very good to excellent. 👍😋👏 The portions were generous and completely sufficient. 💯✅😊 I was particularly impressed by the spiciness of the dishes – just the right amount. 🔥🌶️💯 The waitress specifically asked if I really liked it spicy, which I found to be very attentive. ⭐️😊🙏 My dish was served on a hot, sizzling platter – a real highlight! 🔥💥🍽️ The second dish was also very tasty, although not quite as outstanding as the first, but still at a very high level. 😋🌟👍 For dessert there was an interesting interpretation of tiramisu - served in the shape of a ball and decorated with fresh fruit. 🍓🍦😋 Overall, a great culinary experience that impressed me. Despite the short wait, I will definitely come back – and certainly more than once! 🎉🥂🥰

Simply perfect. I rarely rate in superlatives, but this restaurant really impressed me. The food was super tasty and really something special. The waitresses were very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is inviting, modern and cozy I would recommend making a reservation early and bringing cash with you, as unfortunately card payment is not possible.

Food was absolutely amazing. It was indeed a bit pricey but in my opinion, the taste was worth it. You also get free Banchan, which is actually rare in Korean restaurants here in Germany. Overall, it was worth the trip.

The atmosphere was very nice, we were lucky enough to find a table without a reservation on a weekday evening. The meals were enjoyable. I especially loved their Soju cocktails. Korean beers are also very light and delicious with meals. The best thing is their coconut ice cream. They serve it by stuffing coconut. We had a really nice night in Frankfurt. I recommend.

We had dinner here today with the whole family. Very nice staff. The food was super tasty and authentic. We gave everything with 5 people and stayed under €200. We are now fans and will definitely come back. It's worth making a reservation. Cash only wasn't a problem because it was already communicated when we made the reservation.

Food is pretty decent but don’t understand the hype 😅 price was slightly expensive but the food did not reflect that it’s worth the price. ordered dop bap, but tbh it tasted not much different from regular bulgogi at other Korean restaurant (still taste good but just … hmm can’t taste any different about the stew beef) 🥲 also, in the menu it’s written Fresh enoki mushroom but I did not expect to be RAW ENOKI MUSHROOM 🧐 Enoki mushroom are not supposed (or atleast not recommended) to be eaten raw, hence I think the restaurant should make some adjustments to this dish. I did tried to take a try of the raw enoki with the bowl, tbh it doesn’t elevate any flavour for the dish hence I don’t see the necessity of this raw enoki that give RISK OF FOOD POISONING to be served here ⚠️ The brown rice was cooked well! Also I like their pomegranate soda 🥰 ——— Overview : no harm to give a try, but nothing too impressive, and need to get a reservation.

Quaint restaurant, great choice of decently priced drinks, and excellent menu. This is a place to dine in and it is open till late. Had some elderly Koreans dining as well both times I visited; an indication of the authenticity of the dishes served. Will recommend to anyone!

We were here yesterday - and thrilled. The dishes, O zing o bokkeum (octopus) and bibimbap (with duck) were served quickly and of the best quality. This is what Korea tastes like! Also worth highlighting is the service, which is in the hands of two young women. This dynamic duo had everything under control professionally and was very personable. The coconut ice cream for dessert was also wonderful!

If you're looking for the perfect Korean taste, this is the place to go, but it's good because each restaurant has its own flavor. While the staff was serving food, my thumb kept touching the food I ordered, which was very uncomfortable. It is a pity that even the basics of the restaurant industry are not implemented, regardless of whether there are Korean employees or not. Please pay attention to basic training and management.

Great Korean restaurant. The hospitable atmosphere is very inviting. The interior and furnishings are lined with wood and looked harmonious. The red wooden chairs and decoration, also in red, complete the atmosphere. The menu is pleasantly clear. The food and drinks were lovingly prepared and served. Everything is visually very appealing. The food was freshly prepared. I found the soup very tasty, the rice cooked just right, the meat (duck and beef) was nice and tender. Perfectly balanced dishes with good spiciness. Overall: excellent taste explosion! The portions were large. The service was very good. The service was courteous and gave competent advice. The prices are reasonable. We felt very comfortable. Thank you very much for a successful evening. Conclusion: Fantastic food. Clear recommendation. If you're looking for variety, you've come to the right place. The culinary journey of discovery is very worthwhile. A reservation makes sense because it is very well attended.

The four of us shared three different starters and a main course, so we were able to try everything out and there was enough for everyone. The highlight was the baked Maultaschen “man du”. The baked vegetable wedge “ja che tui guim” and the main course “bi bim bap” were also very tasty. The only thing we didn't really like was the glass noodle salad (jap che), but that's also a matter of taste :) All in all a special experience - thank you very much :)

I've been a customer here for over 10 years. The quality of the food is consistent and always very good. We were there again today. The beef soup is outstanding and an absolute must. Currently only cash payment possible. There are banks everywhere around it, so it's easily doable.

We can only recommend the store. We were there with our two small children on a Friday afternoon and found it totally relaxing. Didn't have to make a reservation because it was probably just after the lunch rush and just before the evening rush. We were recommended something for the little ones, because they eat everything but not that spicy. What can I say? We were all thrilled. The kids liked it and so did we. The service was very nice and accommodating. The food was delicious (original sound children). Price-performance ratio is completely fine. We will definitely go there again.

Hmm.. In my experience, the food is not a highlight. You come in and feel like you have to leave straight away because the owner gave us up to 1/2 hour max. Small portion for a lot of money.

I've been coming to Sonamu for 11 years, so I think the restaurant, the ambience and of course the food are great! However, yesterday after 1 hour and 15 minutes in the restaurant (we had just finished eating!) we were told to pay soon because the next guests were already waiting!!! Cheeky! The three of us had been there since 6:00 p.m. (reservation by 7:30 p.m.) and this time we had to wait a relatively long time for food (which wouldn't be a bad thing if you weren't "kicked out" early). In addition, the time slot of 1 1/2 hours is very tight for 3 people!

The food was great as always, but the last few times the service was very special. Most recently the day before yesterday: 5 minutes before the end of our reservation we were asked if we wanted to eat something else and if they could bring us the bill. We knew that we only had 1.5 hours there, but at the same time the shop wasn't completely full and there were still four tables that were free at 9 p.m. and had already been cleared. Of course they were happy to bring us dessert, as well as the bill. We had just eaten the last piece when someone was standing next to us with their wallet out and we felt like they wanted to throw us out (mind you, we were sober, not loud or in any way conspicuous). We had the feeling that it was good enough for the money, but the pressure of having to occupy a table three times in the evening resulted in poor service and a feeling of being thrown out.

Was there for the third time now. Fantastic food. Nice, competent service and reasonable prices. Absolutely recommended.

Es hat sich herausgestellt, dass dies offensichtlich der Inhaber war, welcher seine geschäftlichen Telefonate während der Mittagspause durchgeführt hat. Das ist sehr störend. Schade.

Good Korean gastronomy. Tastes very authentic. Rice is not boring white rice either, but a healthy purple rice (A little too little water for my taste but everyone has a different style and preference) I personally wonder if they use the same kimchi in Kim Sam Bok as the ones served in Kimchi side dish. Overall great authentic Korean cuisine. Service is also very nice and helpful. I'd be happy to come back :) It was worth the money.

Went here for lunch based on the many good reviews. One point for the friendly staff. The food, on the other hand, just disappointed us in terms of taste! We had ordered Japchae, among other things, the glass noodles were completely overcooked, a single sticky ball with a few strips of vegetables and apparently only seasoned with pepper and a little soy sauce (for the right color). The fact that something like this is even served is an outrage. The remaining dishes (kimbap, bibimbap) were just as tasteless, although the consistency was at least right here. Only the kimchi jeon was ok. Anyone looking for traditional good Korean food should avoid this restaurant.

I've been there several times. But today was a disaster. Food was good as always. Service isn't great anyway. But today underground. The waiter cleared away while one person was still eating. Then knock over a bottle and the glass shards fly onto the plate of the person eating. No excuse. On the contrary, the waiter himself says that this happens often and that you can still eat it. The price of the dish was charged in full. I thought about it and the waiter came up behind us and started discussing it. Brutal bad show from service staff.

Went there spontaneously on the weekend, the restaurant was half empty. When asked whether there was still room for 4 adults and two children, the answer was “today only with reservation”… Well, we ate somewhere else, Berger offers plenty of other choices. 2 hours later on the way home the restaurant was even emptier than before. It may be that they handle it that way, but I still don't think it's good.

The food is truly delicious. I recommend you just ask for some advice for your waiter on what to order. They are kind, thoughtful, and have great recommendations based on your expectations. The food is spicy though, so if you do not like (or cannot handle) spicy food, be forewarned. The place is a bit small, and they only take cash, so make a reservation and be sure to withdraw some money before you go.

We have now been there twice in three weeks and would like to come more often. The bi bim bap is incredibly tasty and there is a large selection of Korean side dishes. If you're a fan of spicy food, you'll get your money's worth, but there are mild options too. And at the same time the optics are great too. This also applies to the starters, but I can't say anything about the desserts. The portions are large and the prices are between cheap and fair. The selection of drinks is also generous, everyone will find something here. The interior, with its wood paneling, is warm and inviting and doesn't distract from the food. The service is friendly, not only to guests, but also to each other, and works quickly, even when there is a lot going on. We'll definitely be back soon. Addendum: It can also be tolerated outdoors.

The food was super tasty. I was really looking forward to visiting there and was not disappointed. The staff was super friendly and the food was very quick for us. What I don't fully understand is the 90 minute time window. When we arrived and when we left there were easily 15 tables available. It is important that only cash payment is possible.

There is only a single vegan option, which only exists if you modify a vegetarian dish. Personally, I find it extremely weak these days. Staff super friendly.
