Delicious and authentic Korean food in Frankfurt!

It was so delicious 🥹🥹 The owner is kind and the Korean food is better than most restaurants in Korea!! It's all Korean food and the kimchi stew was really delicious. I'll go again next time~

No reservation = no chance I've been trying to make a reservation for three months now, but it's always fully booked. Maybe that's a good sign, but it's still a bummer for us. We're a group of six and have already coordinated internally three times to find a time that works for us, but it's always booked, even two or three weeks in advance. They must always have large groups there. We've also tried three times to book spontaneously, but it hasn't worked out. It's a real shame, but we probably won't try it. Perhaps they should introduce a booking tool? It would be very little effort, but it would save a lot of customers a lot of stress.

The food was good but was completely overshadowed by the scam they are running there! 1 Star because they use these QR codes for their menus that are filled with ads that are QR code phishing scams! I scanned the QR code as did the other 9 people at my table. They gave all of their patrons papers with QR codes for their menus. Once you scan the QR code there are ads you have to watch or skip the ad with a hidden button. If you click the ad it redirects you to a FAKE service that automatically subscribes you to a monthly subscription through my bank account that I had no intension of subscribing to. Literally after 1 click, it asked to deduct 0 Euros from my bank account! Here's the email I received after visiting their restaurant and scanning the QR code for their MENU! All a QR code is supposed to do is download a pdf of the menu NOT SCAM their customers unknowingly. The owners have to know about this else why would they give you these QR codes for their menus! Absolutely shameful! These phishing scams are relying on customers not checking their emails for subscriptions they did not know they subscribed to, earning the companies at least 1 month of €17.99Euros before you realise you have been scammed! The restaurant clearly earns money from these scam QR codes they give their customers! Else why would they do this? You can just upload your menu to a google drive with a QR code link! They obviously get kick backs from this scam! STOP giving these QR codes to your patrons! You have been warned!

As always a superb experience! Service is friendly, food is amazing, the restaurant buzzing with other korean food lovers - the most authentic korean taste I've found outside of Korea😌 Really can't go to Frankfurt without also going to Mr. Lees! Reserving a table in advance is recommended as it's a quite popular restaurant 😊

Personally, I think this is the best Korean restaurant in all of Germany. Every time I'm in Frankfurt, I eat here. All the dishes are delicious, and the owner is very friendly.

I stopped by alone at lunchtime without a reservation, and the friendly server spontaneously found me a table. The food was served very quickly and piping hot; all the side dishes were included and absolutely delicious. I've been to South Korea several times, so I can say that the food at Mr. Lee's is incredibly authentic, as are the decor, the dishes, and the cutlery. The service was excellent, truly very friendly. I had Kongnamul Haejangguk, a very rich beef soup. Perfect for a cold autumn day. Everything about this restaurant is just right!

This place only accepts reservations. I didn't know about it, so I took a taxi and ended up losing money. There's no waiting system, so be sure to make a reservation...

I didn't take any pictures, but I went there for yukgaejang both days during my two-day stay in Frankfurt! The yukgaejang was absolutely delicious! It was served simmering hot, and the side dishes were amazing! The owner was also friendly and nice! The last day was fully booked, but thankfully, they accepted one person, so we had a delicious meal! Frankfurt = Mystery

It was okay. I was recently in South Korea for three weeks. I wouldn't go back. The value for money isn't really good. The service was poor, and the interior was very lackluster. The bibimbap was okay. The hot bowl burned the rice. The soju is ridiculously expensive. It's €1 in Korea and €15 here... yeah, right...

Always a top address for good, authentic food.

The jajangmyeon tastes completely different than I imagined—until now, I've only ever tasted the instant version from the supermarket. I really appreciate the care taken here, and I especially like how clean everything is. The staff is friendly and provides excellent customer service. What impressed me was the traditional Korean family meal. The kimchi soup was pleasantly sour and smelled of tomatoes. The pork was a bit tough, but I think I'll definitely come back to try more.

I visited here a few years ago and wanted to leave a review to say thank you and show my support🙏🏻I've lived abroad in many countries and lived in Germany for 10 years, and my hobby is finding Korean restaurants. This is the best Korean restaurant I've ever been to. Above all, the owner was so kind (even though it was our first time meeting, I felt like I was meeting a kind elderly relative after a long timeㅠㅠ I felt like I was being comforted by my tiring life abroad), and the food was all neat and delicious! The side dishes were also really, really delicious, so I ate everything!! ㅠㅠ The bossam tasted exactly like the one you eat in Korea, without any of the smell of German pork! The pickled radish that comes with the bossam? Is that what they call it? The savory flavor of the radish marinated in that sauce is unforgettable, even after all these years. I also ordered a stew, but the broth was...👍🏻 Since visiting Mr. Lee, I've been to at least 10 Korean restaurants, but none surpass Mr. Lee :) Over the years since, I've recommended Mr. Lee to countless gatherings and friends, calling it a rare find even in Korea! (Quite a few people have been there on my recommendation, and everyone, regardless of age or gender, has been delighted and said they enjoyed their meal!) I just recommended Mr. Lee to a Czech friend, and suddenly realized I hadn't left a review, so I'm writing this now... I recently read all the reviews, and it's clear this restaurant is consistently loved! Thank you for the consistently delicious food! These days in Germany, there are a lot of foreigners running fancy Korean restaurants and selling unidentifiable Korean food... An unassuming shop from the outside, it surprises with delicious and authentic Korean food inside. I had fried kimchi with pork belly and tofu, served with rice and eight small side dishes. The portion was huge and highly recommended! It's best to make a reservation in advance, as the restaurant is quite busy even in the early evening.

Korean food after a long time...

I come to Frankfurt often and finally went to this famous restaurant.. Since you can only make reservations by phone I couldn't make reservations in advance from Korea.ㅠㅠ Osam Bulgogi's squid was soft and tender, it was crazy. Sundubu Jjigae seems to be seafood-based, but it's so savory. I've been to many Korean restaurants overseas, but it always tasted 2% lacking or felt like foreigners clumsily imitating Korean food. This place definitely wins compared to any Korean restaurant in Korea.

The owner was a bit rude but the food was very authentic and well prepared- the assortment of bangchans were especially nice!

It was already an excellent Korean restaurant in Frankfurt, but I can feel that it is improving. Six people shared 9-10 dishes, and all the food was so delicious that everyone in the group unanimously praised it. One of the people who thought that Bukchang-dong Sundubu was the best among Korean restaurants abroad said that now his number one Korean restaurant abroad has changed, and that if it had the same taste and quality in Korea, he would go far away to eat there.

Do not forget to make a reservation! We unfortunately didn’t know it is recommended, but when we showed up the owner told us to came after an hour and we managed to have dinner. He was really kind! We ordered mandu 🥟, jajjangmyeong (noodles with black beans) and calamari with vegetables (very spicy!). We enjoyed our orders very much and were super full and happy after dinner. We loved it!

Visited this restaurant with a few Korean colleagues while passing by Frankfurt. It was a short 7min walk from the train station. I had the kimchi jjigae and we ordered the ojingo bokkeum to share. My colleagues' naengmyeon took almost 30mins to serve, and the other dishes they had were just okay.

The evening at Mr. Lee's was great. Apart from the geographical location and the unavoidable gauntlet through the Bahnhofsviertel (train station district), there's little to complain about. (The solution to this problem, however, is up to someone else.) The food was truly excellent – ​​we had mandu, sweet and spicy chicken, the Korean pizza, various appetizers that seem to always be available, spicy squid, roasted pork belly, Korean short ribs, Korean shank, ox knee soup, and much more. 6 of us went for a good €240, including beer, soju, and food coma, and we were all very satisfied. The sweet and spicy chicken (pictured) and the short ribs are especially recommended!

My mouth is still watering. 5/5! Would roll home again...

It was the day before the Easter holiday and I hadn't made a reservation, but fortunately the owner showed me that there was a table available. I ordered kimchi hotpot and grilled mackerel, and it was the most Korean-style food I've had while living in Europe for a month👍 Even the hot barley tea was perfect!

Soft tofu stew, beef jerky, and Osam bulgogi are all delicious. All the side dishes are delicious too. The owner was also very friendly, which was nice.

Cute Korean restaurant! The food is good, above average but not exceptional good. But for the quality and atmosphere the prices are really high. A simple noodle dish for 18€? Then I expect an amazing meal, not just above average. Nevertheless if you want to try an authentic Korean restaurant, this is probably a good address!

Very authentic restaurant. You feel like you're in Korea. The service was super sweet and nice. For lunch you get as much warm tea as you want. The banchan are delicious and the selection of typical Korean dishes is large. I recommend the Jjajangmyeon. The kimchi pancake is very soft, which wasn't really my thing. I like it more crunchy.

I ate the spicy pork belly dish at Mr. Lee in Frankfurt. The meat was well seasoned, tender and had a pleasant spiciness. The sauce was balanced and not too dominant, the spring onions and onions went well with it. There was also a wide selection of banchan (Korean side dishes), including kimchi, spinach, bean sprouts, fried fish cakes, marinated tofu and pickled vegetables. The side dishes were varied and fresh, some of them pleasantly spicy, others rather mild. The guest room is simply furnished, the service is friendly and unobtrusive. If you like Korean food and are looking for authentic, down-to-earth food, you will find it here.

Among the many Korean restaurants in Pupu, this is by far the best side dish. The restaurant where you can taste the least amount of seasoning!!! The owner is also really nice, and if someone asks me to recommend a Korean restaurant, I always go here. The only regret is that there is no dedicated parking lot because it is in the city, but because it is in the city, there are a lot of cars coming and going, so you end up finding a parking lot!

The chicken noodle soup for Friday's lunch was delicious, from side dishes to noodles, and very cost-effective. Apart from the location being a little out of the way and the decoration inside the store being average, there were no obvious shortcomings.

I went to see Ppu and they accepted me even though I went without a reservation. The food was really, really delicious. It tastes better than other restaurants in Korea. How could the grilled mackerel be so savory and delicious? Above all, I went with my 5-year-old children, and I was very grateful that they were so attentive and considerate, even taking care of the children's dishes and water cups.

Very authentically delicious Korean cuisine. Since it is quite small, reservations should be made in advance. Prices are reasonable for the food on offer. There are a lot of Korean guests here, which is a good sign. Parking in the area is a bit difficult. But there are usually enough short-term parking spaces for €4/hour. I'd love to come back.

Amazing experience here at Mr. Lee! Authentic Korean food - highly recommended!! The only weird policy is that you need to order 1 dish per customer. This is a weird policy especially as in Asian culture you order dishes for sharing. You might be 5 people but just want 4 different dishes. They should re-think this policy.

The food is outstanding! And the owner is very nice. If you are looking for real Korean cuisine and not a fast food restaurant, this is the place for you. You are usually the only person without (to me recognizable) Korean roots in this restaurant, which for me is a sign of quality that the cuisine is good and authentic. I definitely recommend making a reservation! Visitors often queue up to get a seat if they haven't made a reservation, but it's still worth it! I also have to note that you have to be aware that the dishes are, as I said and thank God, not "Germanized" and therefore, as is usual in Korean culture, they are often spicy. But there are also non-spicy dishes. I always enjoy coming back there!

The restaurant may not look like much from the outside... but after the first delicacies come to the table (all sorts of side dishes are always there) and then at the latest after the first bite - you are in Korean culinary heaven!!! Best food experience so far!!! A must for anyone who loves Korean cuisine! However, be careful with the tteokbokki: perfectly cooked, but with quite a spiciness kick! We loved it and will definitely come back 🤗

Tldr: Mr. Lee – Spicy, authentic, delicious At Mr. Lee's you can get really authentic Korean food with a lot of spiciness. The selection of dishes is large, but vegetarians don't really get their money's worth. And if you don't tolerate spiciness well, whether you're a child or an adult, you might reach your limits here - almost everything has a lot of oomph. There are lots of small side dishes to share, such as three types of kimchi, pickled beans and other delicacies that make the whole thing even more exciting. Overall, eating here is really fun, especially if you're in a group. The price is also right – you get a lot for your money. But you should definitely make a reservation, otherwise it will be difficult to get a table.

If you're planning on visiting Frankfurt, I 100% recommend checking out this place! I really missed Korean food while traveling for a long time, and the food here was just as delicious and clean as the food at most Korean restaurants. I had a hard time with European food because it felt a bit salty to my taste, but the food at this restaurant was good and not overly salty and just right :) I really highly recommend it. The owner was so friendly and nice that it was the first time I voluntarily left a tip haha. I liked the food so much that I ordered a few more before it came out and even brought them to go^^

All in all, a dream as always! We come here specifically from Koblenz because there is no Korean restaurant near us. And you don't need a state-of-the-art restaurant, you need authenticity - and you can find that here. Very tasty food, nice and quick service. My husband, who was eating Korean food for the first time, was also thrilled. We hope we can enjoy many more delicious dishes there and look forward to next time. :-)
