Fantastic food, friendly service but unfortunately very loud (traffic)

Food is very tasty. Service super friendly.

I am a Korean who came to JW Marriot to attend a conference, and I was able to find real Korean food, Shin Ramyun, which I couldn't find in other supermarkets in Germany. Unfortunately, I lost the Shin Ramyun after leaving it at the counter due to the rule that prohibits bringing food into the conference venue. So I went back to buy it again, and the staff was very kind and didn’t even accept any tips for their kindness. The Shin Ramyun tasted exactly like the one I used to eat in Korea. I’m not sure how Germans would feel about it, but as a Korean, I found it very delicious.

Delicious food! Ideal to take away, for eating at place only standing, a pitty they don't have som little bar chairs. That os the only negative I can say, otherwise perfect and thumbs up!

Nice little Korean place. Not super tasty food but pretty good & at a fair price. Packaging could have been a little bigger too such that the bao’s wouldn’t stick to the box. Pretty popular so there’s a line, but it moves fairly quickly.

Authentic Korean food at a fair price. Ordering is quick and easy. There is also a stand on the exhibition grounds and it is by far the best you can get there.

Tuna is the best. Hope it could be in the permanent menu.

After visiting Gleisdreieck Park, we went to Son Kitchen with our children (10 & 13) for a curious snack. We like to try new things. Short conclusion: it's awesome! Even our children were thrilled, even though what they ate was “special” from their point of view. Whether it's bibimbap with honey BBQ beef, dumplings (bulgogi mandu), spinach salad or rice rolls with spicy truffle tuna (zamchi kimbab) from the fridge... Everything is super fresh and delicious. With four drinks we paid €47 for everything, a fair price and a 100% recommendation! If eating while standing in front of the door on Potsdamer Str. bothers you (of course there are nicer places), you can also take everything beautifully packaged and take it with you to eat in the park or at home. While we were there, countless delivery services also picked up the bags from the nice little shop...

The food tastes good. It is incomprehensible why card payments are only possible from ten euros. We live in the year 2024.

Yesterday I went to Son Kitchen on Potsdamer Strasse for the first time with a friend because we both wanted to try Korean cuisine. And I have to say, I wasn't disappointed: My Korean curry was super tasty, had a lot of heat and the price was absolutely legitimate for the portion. I can't understand the sometimes very bad reviews, including the fact that you had to struggle with stomach problems after visiting Son Kitchen. We were more than full and if the opportunity arises we will definitely come back and try the other dishes.

Sonkitchen food trucks at a congress in Berlin satisfied my craving for Korean food. Great food, great people who do it with heart. Thanks!

Found this place during our visit to Berlin. We ordered tofu taco, chicken bao and chicken bibimbap. Portion was huge and service was excellent. They gave me free chili oil when I told them kimchi was not spicy enough. Recommend this place if you are craving some Korean food. It is a fusion Korean food so it is not exactly like Korean food in Korea. Still delicious!

The classic bibimbap tastes very good, but the portions are a joke for the price. Even if you order double meat, you won't get a full bowl for 12 euros and you definitely won't get anything twice. Very stingy and almost a joke.

There are four different types of kimbap 🤩

Self-service modern Korean place, with only standing options (no seats). Not exactly the same taste as in traditional Korean restaurants. The kimbap doesn’t have seasame oil.

I still know the Markthalle9 from “back in the day” and I can say that it is still great. Clear recommendation.

I ordered bibimbap and curry. Food imitated by foreigners who have never tried Korean food. I was hungry so I had no choice but to eat it, but this is not Korean food. In particular, since the bean sprouts were not cooked, I ate them all without the bean sprouts. It would be more delicious if you learn a little about the recipe for authentic bibimbap.

I had the Bimbimbab. The rice was soggy and almost cold, tofu was also bad. Rest was ok but overall not recommended.

Great food and relatively quick service despite lunch. I'm only sorry that the card payment is over 10 EUR, but the food costs 9.50 EUR.

let's talk about the food! I ordered the bulgogi and it was absolutely mouthwatering. The meat was tender, perfectly marinated, and bursting with flavor.

It used to be the best cost benefit in the area. However the portions now are super smaller (most of the times my colleagues and I are still hungry afterwards) and today, we were served old rice :/

We were there yesterday. Everyone had a main course (curry and bimibap) + a small dish and drink. One star is for the very friendly staff, the rest is really sickening, in the truest sense of the word: forked out almost €50 to eat while standing - less than 3 hours later neither of us could get off the toilet, terrible stomach cramps and that You can imagine the rest. Today, a day later, things are still not better. We caught moderate food poisoning in the store. We had ordered a third portion - dumplings - to take away for a friend, who at least had no problems. For that money you can go to a restaurant without having to go to the doctor afterwards. Both of them haven't been able to eat anything since eating and are sick.

Beef Bibimbap is horrid, the worst I have ever had. The dish was not even close to any authenticity except maybe the two spinach leaves and store bought chili sauce/gochujang. The beef was ground beef not sliced decent beef meat, even so it was dry, tasteless and completely a strange texture for beef Bibimbap. The vegetables are crunchy not sauteed, rice undercooked, and the fried egg just looked repulsive, overcooked, tasted old. I threw away the whole bowl straight to the bin, a waste of money, perplexing why an eatery would sell something that is not even edible. Never going back, never referring.

For me the best Korean food in Berlin. Tasty, clean, fast, and original!! (the Kimchee Taco BBQ Beef are simply amazing)

Stopped here to eat before a play. There is no seating space. At most four people can stand at the one counter inside. At no point did the staff come out and wipe off the counter while we were there. I had the spicy chicken bao. The chicken wasn’t spicy, and the bao was filled with stuff that made it so runny that it fell apart about three minutes after it was given to me. Was a mess to eat, and of course there is no place to wash your hands after. I also ordered the kimchi dumplings- very bland and boring. In general the kimchi was quite weak and tasteless- I also tried it from the plate my friend. She got the truffle tuna bowl- this looked a bit better than my selection but also wasn’t particularly great.

I ordered...I couldn't even finish it. The salad was so carelessly prepared and I couldn't even eat the meat. The kimchee bang was completely soggy. Both tasted the same and of nothing.

I got the bibimbap with chicken and the bulgogi kimbap, both of which were extremely good. It's very close to what I ate in South Korea. I was extremely excited, the food was delicious and fresh :)

I love this restaurant! The staff are really nice and the bibimbap with Tuna is just amazing! Now they even have vegetarian version after we turned vege. Highly recommend!

ich war noch nicht da der Laden sah gut nach Social Media aus deshalb wollte ich ein Video machen, hab 1 Stunde lang durchs Fenster gesehen, und die türkische Mitarbeiterin hat sich nicht einmal die Hände gewaschen. Ich würde gerne essen, habe aber Angst, weil man es von Gastronomie gewohnt ist, das nicht sehr auf die Hygiene geachtet wird. Optisch sieht der Laden echt gut aus, aber die Bewertungen sind halt auch nicht so super und nach dem geht man dann schon wenn man irgendwo essen will Falls ich mutig bin, lass ich euch wissen, wie das Essen war. Ansonsten versucht einfach euer Glück mehr als ein Norovirus kann man sowieso nicht bekommen, wenn man außerhalb ist. Ein anderer Grund, warum ich nicht da war, war die geringe vegane Auswahl und die hohen Preise leider über mein Budget, wenn man nich eingeladen wird

Mega lecker, super und schneller Service und immer äußerst freundliches Personal. Alles ist sehr professionell und sauber. War schon häufiger dort und wurde nie enttäuscht. Sehr sehr gutes und authentisches Korean Streetfood! Aufjedenfall sehr zu empfehlen. Macht weiter so! 👌🏼

Δεν έχω μεγάλη εμπειρία στην κορεάτικη κουζίνα αλλά ό,τι έφαγα μου άρεσε πολύ. Θα βρείτε επίσης κορεάτικα αναψυκτικά, μπύρα και σνακς. Yummy 😋

Świetne, nowoczesne miejsce z pyszną koreańską kuchnią. Pozycje z menu idealne, by wziąć jedzenie na wynos i zjeść w pobliskim parku. Po pierwszej wizycie postanowiliśmy wrócić ponownie. Najbardziej urzekły mnie bulgogi mandu z wołowiną w miodzie. Pyszne kimchi. Świeże składniki. Polecam także kimbab z tuńczykiem. Bardzo uprzejma obsługa. Ceny nie są wysokie w stosunku do wielkości porcji. Z chęcią wrócę, gdy będę ponownie w okolicy. Polecam serdecznie!

Super Essen. Sehr schnelle und effektive Fertigung! Vor-Ort nur ein paar Hocker. Wir hatten für 8 Personen zum Mitnehmen und waren in unter 5 Minuten fertig.

So disappointing. Kimchi tacos sound great, but sadly they've been neutered for Germans & taste only of vinegar, sugar, & garlic. The stale, store-bought pita bread makes them feel like a drunken snack you threw together from whatever was in the fridge at 3 am. I know you can't please everybody, but right now the folks leaving unsatisfied are the ones who love Korean -- or Mexican -- food.

Relativ kleiner Stehimbiss mit herausragender Qualität von sehr schnell zubereitetem Essen, optimal gewürzt für europäische Gaumen, der gerne etwas scharf/würzig mögen. Die Currysauce ist der Hammer! Kommt extrem nah an das japanische Original ran, das ich dort zusammen mit paniertem Schweineschnitzel verehre.

The food is all incredibly tasty and the cost/quality hasn't changed over time. I love Son Kitchen! It's mainly a grab and go kind of place, so don't expect chairs etc

Am besten den Angestellten fragen, was man zu Essen bestellen darf. Nicht alles ist da oder für den Gast am Tresen verfügbar. Das Essen an sich solide. 4 Stehtische vor der Tür, keine Stühle, die drei von drinnen dürfen nicht raus. Am besten essen mitnehmen oder bringen lassen, kein Flair und sicher auch nicht das Konzept. Keine WCs, Einweggeschirr, Selbstbedienung.

Also wirklich mit Abstand der beste Laden in der Gegend. Ich war zum Lunch hier und habe die Tacos und den spicy Tuna Kimbap gehabt. Es war richtig lecker und für zwei Personen war das völlig ausreichend. Der Service war auch sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Als ich mich nicht entscheiden konnte, haben sie mir einige Speisen empfohlen. Daher überall 5/5 und ich freue mich auf den nächsten Besuch.

Das Mandu aka Dumplings mit Rindfleischfüllung und Chili-Dip: Hammer! Auch die Gimbab sind richtig gut. Gerne wieder!

There was a lack of sauce in the bibimbap, although we did mix it well, the chicken did not taste good, which might be a personal taste as I do not like thigh meat but I believe it should’ve been in the description that it is not chicken breast (my brother in law also didn’t like it and he does enjoy chicken thighs tho). The staff was friendly and the tacos tasted great, would order them again.

Can't recommend the veggie Bibimbap. Tofu tastes like nothing. I ate several better veggie Bibimbaps in Berlin. Change your recipe!

Leider nut mittelmäßiges Essen, dafür deutlich zu teuer, es gibt auch kein Mehrweggeschir, selbst wenn man dort isst.

Das Kimbab mit Tofu war sehr lecker. Auch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist einwandfrei und die Portion macht satt. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen! :)

So enttäuscht war ich lange nicht mehr vom Essen... Bibimbap war schlecht, lieblos, geschmacklos und irgendwie traurig, ich würde sowas nicht Bibimbap nennen sondern ein Rohkost-Bowl? Gemüse war nicht mal mariniert (kein Namul!), lieblos grob geschnitten und einfach auf den Reis gelegt. Rohe Sojasprossen und roher Spinat?!? Der einzige Geschmack war Chili (nur scharf) zum Ei. Insgesamt war es zu trocken. Es war keine große Portion aber es war so schlecht, dass ich nicht mal zu Ende essen konnte.

Cute little Korean place! :) Best service! Have 3 chairs for dining in and have varieties of food options. I'd tried almost everything there and is very delicious for me. Bibimbab is one of their classics, do must try once! They also some drinks as well so try them too! Definitely recommended! #Satisified

Best or authentic kimbab you can buy in Berlin. Of course, it can’t compare with the kimbab in Korea, but I am happy that the kimbab here has the proper ingredients and taste. I will go here again when I want to eat kimbab. 한국과는 비교 할 수 없지만 속 재료가 어느정도 잘들어가있습니다. 베를린에서 제일 괜찮은 김밥을 살 수 있는곳이 아닐까 합니다. +추가 김밥 맛 괜찮아서 다른 메뉴들 시켜 먹어봤는데 별로임. 타코: 또띠아는 소스에 다 젖어서 들고 먹지 못할정도로 찢어지고 흐물거림 비빔밥: 밥 오래됐는지 밥이상했음 김밥만 괜찮음

Sehr nette und schnell Bedienung. Essen war super und sehr viel.

Endlich hat der zweite Laden in der Potsdamer Str. geöffnet und lets say.. they did not disappoint! Hier gibt es diverse Koreanische Snacks und Kimbab, was super lecker schmeckt. Die anderen Gerichte schmecken genau so gut wie in der Kantstr. Ihr werdet mich auf jeden Fall öfter sehen!

Lecker Koreanische "street food" Der Laden hat nur 4 Sitzen am Fenster. Also, lieber zum mitnehmen bestellen.

I love it!!! Sonkitchen ist schon seit Jahren eins meiner Lieblingsrestaurants in Berlin, weil ich hier auch als Vegi auf meine Kosten komme. Liebe das Kimchee und die Kimchee Tofu Tacos! Weiter so Leute und macht mal ne Filiale in München auf bitte 😅🫰🏻

The second store looks very inviting, love the design! The „open kitchen“ design is also great since you can see how they prepare your food. I love that they‘re selling kimbap, it‘s my fav, especially with the different sauces.The other items on the menu are as great as in the other store. Staff very welcoming and friendly 🫰🫰🫰

Für alle Berliner und Besucher ein Muss ! Street Food auf hohen Niveau, leckere Koreanische Küche in nem sehr coolen Ambiente! Die Mitarbeiter sind immer sehr freundlich und locker drauf, so dass man schnell das Gefühl bekommt, dass man bei Freunden zu Gast ist. Das Menü deckt alles querbeet ab, Vegan, Vegetarisch Chicken & Beef. Also wer Street Food, Sehenswürdigkeit und authentische Küche kombinieren möchte, ist bei Son Kitchen genau richtig!

Nice new place, I can highly recommend it. I visited for lunch and had a tasty bibimbap. Friendly staff made the visit nicer. They also have many gimbaps ready to be taken away with you or just eaten on the spot. Definitely try the yuzu tea as well in this cold weather!

Congratulations on your second Shop. The Shop looks really really clean. Kimchi Taco is wunderbar as it was.

Leider lieblos geschmacklos. Chili dominiert um die fehlenden Koreanischen Soßen etc. zu kaschieren. 9€ für eine Bowl ohne Aufwand fühlt sich an wie ein Geschäft, das schlicht auf der Korea-Welle reitet. Sorry

Beim Tofu gibt noch Luft nach oben. Vielleicht kleinere Stücke oder eine andere Variante und ein bisschen angebraten? Preis nicht ganz günstig, aber irgendwie müssen Mieten und Gehälter ja auch eingenommen werden. Insgesamt aber wirklich sehr lecker und das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Schön, dass es euch gibt!

Friendly staff, tasty Bibimbap. It‘s a takeaway venue, so no place to sit. You could have your food standing, on a small bar table in front of the window, but it’s small and fits like 5 people at max
