As a passionate pizza tester, this restaurant in Kassel has made it into my top 5 of all time. Very pleasant atmosphere, super friendly service, quiet traditional music, and most importantly, the taste is 10/10. Quality has its price, and it's well-deserved! I like the pizza 😂

I went there for the first time today with colleagues. Service was really fast and efficient, and the food was truly delicious (I had spaghetti tartufo). The only thing I found was the organic apple spritzer, which was a bit too sweet for me... but that's the fault of the company labeled "Sweet Apples" ;)

This is really pure deception, the pizza is exaggerated with a much thicker edge (I know Neapolitan edge), the raw was the small area in the middle with nothing on it except three thin mushrooms, it was burnt black, we got stomachaches, the waiter is often stressed, in a hurry and unhygienic, never again

After about 45 minutes of waiting for a pizza, my companion spoke to the waiter. They said it would take another 5 minutes, but even after that nothing happened. So we left.

The ambience and the appearance are very good, unfortunately there are pizzas where it is not mentioned at all in the menu that they are without tomato sauce, the dough on the edges is still quite rubbery on the inside (unbaked) and for an Italian pizza there is unfortunately too much cheese and clearly not enough tomato sauce, mozzarella is sprinkled cheese, salami is extremely salty, let alone Milano, overall better than any tk pizza but well below a really original Italian pizza, good midfield perhaps But we also have other requirements since our vacation in Italy wasn't long ago. But the fact is that cream is not lost in a tiramisu and a sponge cake should also have coffee or espresso, unfortunately this is not available either.

Es gab einmal einen Sonderwunsch (Keinen Sellerie und Fenchel im Salat) der im ersten Anlauf nicht ausgeführt und beim Gast hinterfragt wurde, im 2ten Anlauf erneut nicht beachtet und beim im 3ten Anlauf, beim servieren des Bestellten, der Gast mehrmals laut, sarkastisch, bis hin zu aggressiv gefragt wurde ob das nun wirklich so in Ordnung wäre!? Was ist das für ein Service?

We sat at the back in the winter garden, the ambience was really nice, unfortunately I have to say the waiter wasn't professional... When I asked "Could we please leave out the eggplants with the rigatoni" he unfortunately replied with "That's not possible, we can't accommodate special requests from every table" (expressed in good German) Unfortunately, I also found the portion of pasta to be too small and the pizza arrived cold. The staff was really very friendly and the atmosphere was very inviting. Conclusion: I think I picked the wrong day or got the wrong waiter, so I'll give it another try.

Pizza dough was still raw on the inside on the thick edge. After waiting 40 minutes for your food, you no longer have time to wait for a new pizza when you have to go to an event. Tables very close together and loud.

Best pizza in Kassel if you want it Napoleonic :) No seriously. It's been a long time since I've had such an incredibly good pizza. The edges rose perfectly and the garnish was super fresh and delicious. Prices are completely reasonable and I would pay them again and again. Ambience is very typical of the area. There is a lot of emphasis on aesthetics and art (not quite my thing, but you go there for the food :)) Tables were a bit small for plates, especially if you have drinks with you. The service was great. The waiter was very friendly and was happy to advise you on the food or wine selection. Always my pleasure.

Good authentic Neapolitan pizza in Kassel. Good ingredients, good taste, just a good pizza but nothing special. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is a bit loud and the staff is relatively unfriendly and talks at a volume that makes it impossible to eat in peace. Apart from that, very tasty

Die people. We enjoyed two pizzas, one with vegetables and one with salami. Very tasty pizza, relatively light even though we struggled to finish it. Important cornice, perhaps a little too exaggerated. It is inevitable to leave a large part of it on the plate. In any case we were served with kindness and friendliness. Clean, well-lit and comfortable environment, without terrible music in the background. Unfortunately, however, we were unable to pay with the cards we had from the Mastercard or Visa circuit. They only accept a local card which I don't really understand what it is. It was very embarrassing and I have to say that luckily we had some cash in tow. Two bottles of water and a large beer for a total of €40.50. They use a delicious extra virgin olive oil made in Abruzzo. Apart from the problem (unfortunately a bit serious) of payment, all the tables seemed satisfied.

Gave a completely burnt pizza. This store has bad reviews deleted. This means that the rating does not reflect the actual quality. It's probably more like 4.0. In order to appear creative, the operators pack beetroot into dishes that have no taste at all.

Food and drinks were great. The pizza is freshly prepared in a wood-fired oven and is one of the best in Kassel thanks to the exceptional combinations. The shop is nice, the atmosphere is nice, BUT: where the food is good, the service is unfortunately catastrophic. We would have been happy to receive answers other than “You can see that it’s full?!” or “You’re in a pizzeria!” when asked about intolerances, portion sizes and waiting times. Maybe the gentleman had already received more than enough tips and wanted to prevent any more, but either way a little training in manners would be desirable.

Absolutely great. The service is courteous and kind to you. The food is an absolute experience in terms of both quality and taste. In my personal opinion, you get the best pizza in Hesse here. The price-performance ratio can only be described as understated. A dish of this quality might as well cost twice as much. All in all a very nice visit. Definitely worth recommending. Dear ladies and gentlemen of the Solo Restaurant, I would like to thank you for the great evening and the very tasty dishes that I was allowed to serve. The waitresses in the restaurant are very, very friendly and accommodating and are also spontaneously willing to take selfies. The food is excellent and highly recommended [top recommendation Pizza Sud]. The ambience in this restaurant is very good, there are many different areas where everyone can feel comfortable.

The first photo is from Instagram and the second is actually a pizza. The pizza is tasty but completely undercooked. We couldn't pay with a credit card, had to find a place to withdraw money and were paying interest on it.

A good pizza for Kassel conditions! (Unfortunately the edge was a bit raw several times) In other cities (e.g. Cologne) it would be rather mediocre! (Don't get me wrong, but Kassel unfortunately has a lot of catching up to do when it comes to culinary delights!) I think the antipasti was great, really tasty and well chosen!

As a random customer who was hungry, we were amazed at the unusual compositions with fresh herbs and selected ingredients. Dishes: plentiful and tasty 5 stars. Drinks 4 stars, that could be better. You can't be sure that the food will be good when you go here, sometimes you get an actually good pizza, sometimes you get a charred coal of a pizza, tasteless and stale. Who wants to eat in a place where you can't be sure that you're paying for something tasty? Inattentive, uncaring service, the only good thing about it is it's rather quick.

It wasn't cold outside either but not as hot. They could at least cool it so you can comfortably spend some hours at this place. It feels a little off to still give 5 stars considering the severe temperature problem you suffer inside of the restaurant. But having no problems with the staff and there also being seats outside I feel just fine doing this. When coming back I wish this problem to be solved.

Here you can get very unconventional pizzas. SOLO is an outstandingly good Italian restaurant. There is a manageable selection, but very good classics and unusual ingredients. The dough for the stone oven pizza is particularly delicious and fluffy. The interior of the restaurant is very chic. You can also sit comfortably outside. Best pizzeria where there is in Kassel. We recommend the pizza with potatoes and apple. So I ordered them and my taste buds were delighted.

A rather simply furnished Italian restaurant, but it has a lot to offer. Here you get 100 percent organic food, from pepper to meat, from tomatoes to pasta, from meat to cheese. And the two times we were there it was incredibly delicious. One day we had the best lasagna we've ever eaten out, and the other day we had penne with cream sauce, mushrooms and ham plus salad. Really good - classic, calm without any escapades, you have to be able to do that first. And the great thing: it's not even expensive - especially when you consider that it's 100 percent organic. The restaurant is rather simple, everything is nice and clean. Only the one gentleman who served us these two days was a bit stuffy. As if he would rather have a vacation. It was friendly in itself, but somehow his mind was somewhere else. Nevertheless: if you want to have a good Italian meal in Kassel, then please come here.
