We were here with family and relatives for a wedding. The service was super professional and friendly; our large dog received water and high-quality treats, and the children were treated very kindly, too. The food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. I honestly can't understand the bad reviews. Thank you so much, and see you next time ❤️

Eating pancakes with a view of the Fulda River. There are great varieties, all super delicious and beautifully presented. The owner and her staff are very friendly and attentive to their guests. Even the dogs were well looked after, with water and a gift. Thank you for that!!! We'd be back anytime!

Unfortunately, we only visited for a few white wine spritzers, so we can't comment on the food. But the service was very charming and professional. We received a very warm welcome and were served. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone vacationing in Kassel or passing through.

Keep in mind that sauces cost between €1 and €1.50 extra. The prices are generally very high and not justified for the quantity. The flavor is okay to solid, but nothing remarkable, and the pancakes aren't recommended because they're undercooked.

Diabolical prices, extra payment for sauces, keep the fries with your burger; if you want croquettes, you only get six. Pancakes aren't cooked well. Absolutely not recommended. Get a kebab instead. It's worth it and tastes 100 times better than the juice bar.

The taste was solid, but the price wasn't justified. If you ask for croquettes instead of fries with your burger, the quantity will be significantly reduced. Also, always ask for a receipt. Also, keep in mind that the pancakes aren't cooked through on the inside and are only crispy on the outside.

Since it's known as a "pancake house," I probably had too high expectations. It was okay and quite tasty. The service was very friendly. I actually find the prices a bit high. Personally, I probably won't go back for a pancake. The other food looked very good, though, so maybe I'll try that in the future.

My greatest praise goes to the lady (I think she's either the boss or at least the head of service). She's the best woman ever. Besides providing the best service imaginable, she's also sooooo beautiful to look at. 😍 However, everyone provides top-notch service, and the food is also amazing. Definitely worth a visit. 👍🙂

Today we had a delicious meal: one pancake with fruit and one pancake with Gouda and ham, along with two wheat beers and Sprite. Everything was delicious and served hot. The staff was very friendly. It also left you feeling full. We'd love to come back. Thanks for the Zissl Sunday.

The staff is nice and friendly. I visited the pancake house because of their gluten-free pancakes. Unfortunately, the pancake arrived with so much oil on the plate that I could only eat a little. The food wasn't particularly tasty. What a shame.

I'm really pleasantly surprised. As an expert, I'll allow myself to say that the drinks and side dishes are overpriced. 7.90 for a bottle of water is a lot. Some schnitzels are too. I'd reconsider. Otherwise, everything was great.

I have to adjust my original review, unfortunately. The pancakes are still delicious. BUT: the menu says Aperol Spritz. The supposed Aperol came in a glass and didn't look very good. It didn't taste good at all. When I asked, I was told it was a pre-mixed drink. Sorry, so bad, and then €7.90. That's unacceptable. A bottle of that pre-mixed drink at Aldi costs less than €4 - 0.7 liters!!!!!

We only had fries and currywurst here. But it was great. The service was also very good. Very attentive and friendly. Everything seems very dirty, though. The terrace and the restroom corridor urgently need a proper cleaning.

The ambiance, like everywhere else, could be improved, although the seating is nice and the view of the Fulda River is great.

The food was inedible, a burger with almost no patty and raw. I ate it because it was very expensive; it was a bad decision; I'm currently throwing up in the toilet. There was mold on the top of the patty, and I took it off because there were several of us. So, I don't know what kind of burger it is. The cheapest fries were inedible; I left half of it on my plate because my stomach was kicking. Simply disgusting!!!!!

I love the view. The schnitzel comes in two pieces. It's great for sharing. I would have found it a bit expensive for myself, but the taste and quality are good. I only tried the sweet pancakes. They were delicious.

Diane is the best waitress we've had in a long time. Super friendly, incredibly personable and immediately puts you in a good mood as soon as you get there. We'd love to come back for the next Mother's Day.

Unfortunately I didn't have a good experience. And even more disappointing: critical reviews are simply deleted instead of owning up to the situation. I wanted to have a cozy dinner there with my grandma before going to the theater. When I made the reservation, I pointed out that we were limited by time. I kindly mentioned this again on site. Nevertheless, we had to wait over 45 minutes just for the drinks. There was a large group there that evening (pre-Christmas season) who obviously received priority service. After asking several times, we had no choice but to cancel our food order - otherwise we wouldn't have made it to the theater performance on time. Instead of responding with a sincere apology and improvement, the review is simply deleted. Very unfortunate. That's not how you treat guests.

The blonde waitress was really very nice and warm, but the rest of us had a rather unpleasant aftertaste. We all agreed on the taste of the food: unfortunately it wasn't to our liking, which was a real shame. Maybe we had other ideas, but it was too greasy and at the same time too "flaky" for us. We're happy that so many people seem to like it here - unfortunately we don't.

We were really looking forward to our visit, but were disappointed with the taste. For a place that specializes entirely in pancakes, we had higher expectations. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio did not convince us. The atmosphere was still pleasant and the service was very friendly.

Easter Sunday, I ordered a pepper cream schnitzel for €21.90. I got frozen goods and stopped eating after three pieces from the deep fryer.. Price performance is absolutely not suitable for a schnitzel..

Visiting Kassel, doing something different and then you can also go out for pancakes... That's how it started and in the end you're completely satisfied, your stomach is fuller than expected and the service is better than it has been for a long time. You almost don't miss the usual oat milk at all. It's rare to have such a good time. Thanks to everyone involved.

All joking aside, all the employees were super nice and friendly. The food was very tasty, pancakes. If it fits, you can go there.

A very nice and stylish ambiance (both indoors and outdoors), absolutely delicious food, and excellent service. The women's restroom area has a changing area for babies and "real" towels. Highly recommended! Keep it up :)

Ich hatte Lust auf ein leckeres Schnitzel. Mir wurde zu Recht das Schlemmerschnitzel empfohlen. Ich habe lange nicht so ein lecker paniertes, frisch gebratenes Schnitzel gegessen. Ungefragt aber genial gab es die Schmandsosse extra! Es war tollnund dazu noch eine freundliche, sympathische Bedienung. Ich komme wieder !!!

The ambience and location are really nice. To eat: Like everywhere else, things have become noticeably more expensive at the House of Pancake. If the price-performance ratio is right, that's completely fine. Unfortunately the price-performance ratio here is absolutely not right!! We ate 2 special pancakes, both were very small and unfortunately also very greasy, for €16.90 per pancake, pretty cheeky. The price was extremely overpriced for the amount of goods. The drinks were also extremely overpriced, 1 liter of Sodamax water for €7.90 is outrageous. Unfortunately, due to the reasons given, we cannot recommend it.

A great place here in Kassel. The service staff is very nice and attentive. There was even a pack of treats and something to drink for the dogs! Unfortunately there was way too much caramel syrup in my latte macchiato... So next time I'll order without flavor 😅

I was there today with a couple who were friends of mine to have a café. We were served in a friendly and courteous manner. Even our dogs got the finest treat. The latte macchiato was very good. Our friend ate a pancake, which was very tasteful and delicious.

Honestly, very disappointing! It's questionable how over 4 stars come together here. It is very narrow and loud, but you can still tolerate that if you are traveling with children. The pancakes are so greasy that you can taste the oil rather than anything else! Even after giving it back once, it didn't get any better, just more burnt! Prices are overpriced! The red path runs through to the drinks. An Aperol for 8€ not worth it. The light is poorly tapped as there is hardly any carbonation. All in all, it's a shame and bitter!

Absolutely deserves 5 stars and more. I have histamine intolerance. I was allowed to look at the menu before we even decided to eat there, I really got great advice. The service was super friendly and the food was really good too. That was the first time that I really felt comfortable in a restaurant :) I'll come back more often

We were there on Wednesday lunchtime and were more than thrilled. The wait staff was super friendly, really enjoyed their work and passed on this good feeling to their guests. The food was very tasty (varieties of schnitzel) and the atmosphere, especially with a log fire in winter, was cozy and easy to feel good about. We were thrilled and will definitely come back when we are in Kassel again! Thank you very much again!!

Good day, We were at your place on February 1st, 2025 to eat pancakes, like everything there are different flavors! Personally, I didn't like my pancake with banana that much. Then my siblings had cherries, which I personally didn't like that much either; there are much better products out there. But who we particularly liked was Diane. She deserved the grade A. I had dinner here with my wife on Saturday evening. I had the Hawaiian schnitzel and my wife had the crab pancakes, everything was delicious! Almost impossible to make the schnitzel😅✌🏻 Prices are completely okay! The service was extremely friendly! I think we were served by the boss. All in all a successful visit. We have been here several times and would love to come back!

A pancake with sheep's cheese and then one with hot raspberries and cream. Plus tea each. Very good and would love to come back.

In addition to the dog-friendliness (a bowl of water and a treat bag with high-quality treats were brought to us without asking!) and exemplary hospitality, I would like to emphasize that the pancake dough is generally lactose-free and even GLUTEN-FREE upon request! You really look for it for a long time in Kassel, and the pancakes are simply sensationally delicious and worth recommending! The "Pancake" is beautifully located between Fulda and Karlsaue, the furnishings are homely and cozy (with a fireplace), the toilets are very clean and the menu leaves nothing to be desired, even for hearty connoisseurs! Incredible restaurant, the food is of course not healthy food but for someone who likes sweet food it is the perfect restaurant, the waiters have a lot of fun to do with a lot of heart, if you haven't eaten here yet you should definitely do it

There is something for every taste here: pancakes in all variations as well as fries, schnitzel etc. for those who didn't actually want pancakes ;o) The service is very friendly, helpful and honest! I liked the cozy atmosphere and the fireplace.

The pancake was quite dark, almost black in places. But the taste is ok. The ice cream was rather cheap, store-bought vanilla ice cream. It was too expensive for what it was.

The entire staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, the food is very tasty and the place is inviting. They are very kind to children and dogs are also welcome (as long as they behave 😀) here it is more like a family than a stranger

The Pancake is a permanent address in Kassel that is worth visiting. The sweet or savory pancakes offer plenty of variety and I would recommend everyone to dare and try the non-standard pancakes with cinnamon and sugar, because I am sure you will be very pleasantly surprised. The service is great, very friendly and committed. I can actually only think of one thing that I would improve about the pancake: no matter where we have sat in the outdoor area, everything seems to be a smoking area, so we had cigarette smoke wafting around our noses every time we ate. That's why I don't like sitting outside at all, even though it's quite nice on the Fulda. There is plenty of vegetarian choice, the restaurant is barrier-free and there are plenty of parking spaces.

Absolut empfehlenswert! Wir waren zu viert im House of Pancake. Es fing schon mit der super freundlichen telefonischen Reservierung an. Schon da konnte man hören , daß hier Service gross geschrieben wird und der Gast sich willkommen fühlt. Wir also hin und genau das Gefühl wurde den ganzen Abend fortgeführt. 10 von 5 Sterne , einfach top. Gegessen haben wir Schnitzel und Pancakes.Leute ich kann euch beides nur empfehlen..da wir es nicht geschafft hatten aufzuessen, wurde es sofort eingepackt. Preislich völlig gerechtfertigt. Atmosphäre und Lage mit dem besten Service (für uns Diane zuständig), einfach klasse. Also wer hier meckert sollte Zuhause bleiben und kein Tisch blockieren der für Gäste die wie wir einen wunderschönen Abend mit Allerbesten Service und Essen genießen möchten. Wir kommen wieder. Simply a dream! I've eaten here a few times and it's always a real treat. The pancakes are fluffy, perfectly baked and there is a great selection of toppings - simply heavenly! I would particularly like to highlight the lovely waitress Diane, who welcomed us very warmly and served us with a smile. She is super friendly, attentive and makes you feel comfortable straight away. A big compliment to the entire team – I always enjoy coming back!
