Best pizzas in town. Also the Tiramisu, its flavours melt individually in your mouth! Drool!

Great service and delicious food!! We ate pizza and pinsa. Both are delicious but the Pinsa Parmigiana... Wooow, a dream!! We also enjoyed scampi and desserts 😊 We'll definitely be back!!!!

Unfortunately, the restaurant is no longer vegan friendly. Based on older reviews, I assumed there were good vegan options here. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case at all. According to the menu, all pizzas and pasta dishes contain eggs. When we asked, the waiter told us that the spaghetti and penne were already without eggs. So the pasta Aglio e Olio and Arrabiata should be vegan. Apart from these two dishes, vegans only have bruschetta and salad. Unfortunately there is no longer a vegan pizza.

I've been to Solo Italia twice on a Sunday evening and each time I've been amazed by the service and food. Price/performance fits. I had the impression that there were many of the restaurant's neighbors among the guests. Friendly! It's nice that you can get a seat even without a reservation. I was surprised that there weren't more guests - although that meant we didn't have to address the background noise. I will come back and hope that the service, food and prices do not lose quality.

We were there on a Monday, where there was a pizza buffet (you could take as much as you wanted and try different pizzas, which were always freshly refilled). My absolute highlight was the truffle pizza with burrata! For dessert there was one with Nutella and fruit, which also tasted really delicious. We'll definitely be back!

Best pizza and also the other dishes such as pasta, burgers and dolce served attractively and molto bene 👌. We'd love to come back and I'm already looking forward to the next time 😊.

Change to my 2019 review: Apparently the owner changed between August and October 2024. This was noticeable at many points (different logo, no more delivery, more in the text) The menu has become significantly smaller (previously 5 pages, now one), and it is no longer an extra menu but a laminated table mat. The Solo Italia special pizzas have disappeared (pizzaiolo, chef, solo italia, ...) now there is only a small standard selection. The optional dips for the edge also apparently no longer exist. When we asked the waiter, we were given olives and garlic oil, in my opinion it's not a dip and not like it used to be. When we asked, we were also openly informed about the change in ownership. Apparently the cook is also gone but the pizza maker is the same. What you can still notice even with the thin floor. The fact that the chef has changed can be seen as a positive, the noodles were very good this time. The homemade lemonade and iced tea have also made it onto the new menu. Unfortunately, much to my wife's sadness, the dessert menu has also been significantly reduced. The "Dachshund" pizza for the kids has also disappeared from the menu, and there are no longer any children's menus in general. I also don't want to hide the fact that we were a little dissatisfied right from the start because we had a voucher book (Be-my-munich) which unfortunately was no longer accepted. In my opinion, when there is a change of ownership, the legacy issues must also be taken with them. The location is still set up as before, and the great terrace is still there.

Solo Italia has long been the institution for pizza in Giesing. Crispy, thin base, homemade tomato sauce and always only the best ingredients. Unfortunately, the operator changed here in 2024 and the new operator uses less high-quality ingredients. The pizza is still better than at the fast food shop, but it no longer justifies the high price that I was willing to pay at the previous one.

They can do pizza and desserts, everything else was average.

We were there to redeem the voucher from the B - MY. Unfortunately this is no longer possible due to a change in tenant. We were therefore promised a 10% discount. Food was very good! It was a bit chaotic that evening due to several large celebrations and tables, but we were able to find a solution for everything on site! Will be back 😊 (all you can eat on Mondays is also recommended).

Yesterday we were solo again for a long time and I have to say that my friend and I were very happy that something had changed. Food was great, huge pizza was very tasty and the dessert was a dream. Thanks to the waiter Giuseppe, you can tell that he is used to high-class service.

Even with a new tenant, Solo Italia is a good restaurant with a feel-good atmosphere and friendly, courteous service. The open Primitivo was very good, the pizzas were large, crispy and had delicious toppings. The menu is quite meat-heavy, but vegetarians can swap components for the pizzas and pinsas upon request. We'd love to come back 🫶

There appear to be new owners. The service was tried hard, but a bit overwhelmed. The pizza is definitely delicious. The pizza burgers irritated me a bit and the atmosphere seemed very Italian to me. But quite ok for a visit.

Yesterday we were at Solo Italia again, now with new tenants. The service was great, very friendly and everything went super quickly, especially the food was at the table extremely quickly. I had a pizza capricciosa. Crispy edges and plenty of toppings. Yummy! I would have liked a little more spice. My companion had a Pinsa Mitica, which was good but very overloaded with toppings (sometimes a little less is more :-) ) and you couldn't really taste the truffle. I think it's great that there is now local beer with Giesinger Bräu. The prices are fair. It was very warm in the restaurant yesterday, which was unpleasant. Maybe this was supposed to simulate summer in Tuscany, but 2-3 degrees less room temperature would be pleasant and you would save on heating costs :-) The acoustics in the restaurant have always been bad, even in previous restaurants. It's very loud. In my opinion, a few acoustically effective ceiling sails (for which there is enough space) would bring a significant improvement.

Very welcoming place, friendly and knowledgeable staff especially the new innkeeper Michele. The pizzas are huge and excellent like everything else. Fazit: We had a wonderful evening and I recommend it to everyone.

My new favorite restaurant since the change of ownership at the beginning of October! We were in this restaurant yesterday with a larger group and we received an extremely friendly welcome. Very nice atmosphere, super delicious pizzas with a very thin base (that's exactly how it should be!) and perfect service! You can really tell that Michele and his team put their hearts into it and want to give their guests a completely successful evening. I'll definitely be back and will definitely try out a lot more from the varied menu... ...a clear recommendation for anyone who values ​​class rather than quantity! Apart from that, the portions are generous and the price/performance ratio is more than good! Keep it up!

New tenants, amateurish staff, what did you spend a month renovating??? It looks crappier than before and before it was nice and cozy. Uncomfortable (apart from the back part with a wooden floor), no knowledge of gastronomy (at least that's how it came across and btw. I've been working in gastronomy for 20 years🫡), the waiter annoyingly pushes me to order several times at 9 p.m. while sitting down us not even 5 minutes. As a small gift before the meal, there was a frozen baguette with a few olives without oil, not even slightly sweated in the pan, just carelessly placed there. I've never seen such unloving Italians 🤌🤌🤌🤌. To make matters worse, the pizza came to the table cold. The tables are now arranged far too closely in rows and rows next to each other. You constantly overhear other people's conversations... How my neighborhood is changing more and more for the worse is really frightening

Contrary to what is stated online and on the menu, there is NO gluten-free pizza here. When we asked why it was written that way on the map, we were told that the map was simply wrong.

Last night was a real celebration and I was able to really enjoy it with family and friends. Thanks to the quick service, we were able to eat in a relaxed manner despite having an appointment afterwards. Your needs are really taken into account here! Last but not least, even the management came to our table with a limoncello - from everyone at the table, WE WILL BE BACK!

Renovated this Thursday and reopened under new management. New menu and now with Giesinger Bräu. Friendly service and very good value for money. The salmon was to die for and the veal medallions were super tender and the vegetables were well done. The tiramisu was also a poem. We wish the whole team much success and look forward to the next visit.

It's really nice to sit on the terrace at Solo Italia, which was unfortunately the only highlight of our visit. We were greeted by a very unmotivated and unfriendly waiter who initially didn't offer us a table outside and, after we asked what was going on with the free table, put us off with the sentence "You can wait for it." “But it’s just not clean” (there were still dishes on it). He then turned away and disappeared without further comment. The waitress was very nice, so it's a shame to have to rate the service as poor. After the table was free for us, the food came before the drinks and there was no cutlery at the table, which was of course handed to us later. The quality of the food was below average and the prices for a pizza were rather high. The bad impressions may be an exception, but they definitely weren't good advertising for the restaurant.

Lovely place! The food was amazing and there are a green space beside there. For sunset you can have a nice experience. There are few waiters and can be difficult when the place is full, so you need be patient. For sure, I will came back

We had reservations for 6:30 p.m. When we arrived there were still a few seats available outside. We were seated and left after 30 minutes because we weren't served. Although there wasn't actually much going on... What a shame ☹️

When we arrived and asked the smaller, male waiter for a table, there was a table available right at the entrance. When asked if we could have this (it has to be cleared away first), the waiter said he 'has to clear it up first'. Then I said, we're happy to wait. The gentleman then turned around and as he walked away he said: 'Yes, you can wait'. Starter and a pizza (main course) came before the drinks, which wouldn't have been so bad. But this unfriendly manner was an impertinence. Unfortunately it was nothing.

There are very tasty pastas here, they make the meal smarter than many other Italian restaurants I know. Service was also great, ambience looks very nice.

If you go home hungry after dinner, then something is wrong. My friend and I had fish or schnitzel with baked potatoes and grilled vegetables. The baked potatoes consisted of 2 half mini potatoes and the rest was also more than manageable. The dish cost €20.50 per person. You can expect that you could be full. An impudence. The best thing about today's meal was the service. Fast and very friendly. But I don't mean the rude Indian. Goodbye forever. There are better Italians!!!

Pizza super tasty. But the service... probably haven't heard anything about friendliness. Or let's say a little politeness never hurt anyone, at least when it comes to tips! I know restaurants where you at least look at the customer when you take the order, or when drinks are served, if you give the guest a please, you might even get a treat. But no, that's probably too much for the gentlemen.

Yesterday we had dinner with 5 people. I've never experienced such unfriendly staff. After paying, you stand expectantly at the table and expect a tip, then you can't even say thank you or say anything. The staff definitely have the wrong job. The atmosphere there isn't the same either particularly. Pizza is ok. All in all, definitely not recommended.

Even though, the food was ok, it doesn’t worth coming. Drinks and the service were absolutely horrible. We had to wait for half an hour until the stuff finally sees us and brings us a menu. We had to wait another 20 minutes for them to take an order as well after we were waving and calling the waiter. When the drinks finally arrived, the waiter wasn’t able to tell us which glass has chardonnay and which has Weinschorle. An absolute disaster was, that one of the drinks was a wrong one. I ordered “cheeky bambino”, which supposed to be a basil infused limoncello based spritz, but I got something absolutely different, that tasted like an herby liquor and had mint in it. Clearly, it was a wrong drink. When I lost the hope, that a waiter will come to our table, I stood up and came to the bar myself and tried to explain the situation. Bartender tried to convince me that the drink “cheeky bambino” has no limoncello in it and that the mint in drink is a special type of basil… what a disaster not knowing your menu… Gladly, the other worker saw me explaining the situation and offered me to make a new drink. I received a drink and it was a correct one. One of the waiters was very arrogant and was asking us weird privat questions. He looked inadequate and probably drunk. Waiters were not able to bring us right amount of water glasses and cutleries. Unfortunately, we had to wait until they bring us forks. We started eating, when the food was already cold…. The management of this restaurant should take a better care of training their stuff properly and watch them serving people instead of being busy having a chat with each other. Otherwise, it won’t survive long.

Unfriendly staff who say absolutely inappropriate comments. As an Italian, I am actually used to a different kind of “hospitality”. The pizza looks better than it tastes. Centimeter thick layer of tomato paste with too much pesto. And in my opinion, that wasn't buffalo mozzarella on the pizza either. Can't understand some of the good reviews. Pizza is ok. Way too much tomato sauce. If you order alcoholic drinks you will be spoken to strangely. Like no alcohol? Endlessly unfriendly service. If you pay with a card you will be hit on! Not recommendable!

Franco best man! Pizza very tasty, thin and crispy dough, very good and high quality toppings. Finally something new instead of just Neapolitan pizzas... Cocktails are also good, no shortage of alcohol. Veal schnitzel delicious.

Service was super unfriendly and disinterested. The starter platter included ham etc. from packaged discounter products, very bad. After we communicated this to the condition, there was no further demand or accommodation. We were also told at the beginning that there were also sweet pizzas, but this was subsequently revised by another colleague. All in all one can summarize, not recommended for the quality. It's a shame last summer it wasn't so bad.

Still by far the best Italian restaurant in Giesing. Reservation is recommended. Bruschetta one of the best in all of Munich. Unfortunately the Dachshund pizza pan broke. The pizzas so far have been really tasty and sometimes innovative. We're always happy to come back!
