Sole Mio in Rostock

The two of us sat outside very nicely today, 1 star for that and 2 for the quick service. The fact that the prices are so high is solely due to the exceptional location. The quality of the chef's salad we ordered was subpar, the dressing was watery, the ratio of lettuce leaves to the rest wasn't right, the pizza had no taste - people probably pay attention to cheapness when shopping here. A typical tourist trap for me.

A place that I have never experienced before. The ambience is very nice and inviting. We were warmly welcomed and shown to the table and then we must have drifted unnoticed into a parallel universe. A look at the menu was promising and increased the hunger. The prices gave me hope that I could expect really good Italian cuisine. But then everything turned out differently. In terms of taste, we were in no man's land. Fat, fat and more fat, actually a flavor carrier. We searched for the taste in vain. There was a component error in a dish and when I asked the waitress and promised to take care of it, it was never seen again. When we asked for the bill, the plates were still full and they were ignored. No questions asked if “everything was OK. Goodbye forever. Something can always go wrong and food is a matter of taste. Here, however, customers are being ripped off and the catering industry is being trampled on. It's a shame about the beautiful location.

We went there for dinner for the first time. The Bolognese for children was an absolute hit - absolutely delicious. The Wiener Schnitzel was not manageable, the portion was unnecessarily large and therefore expensive. A service person was super, super friendly, but the interaction with the colleague wasn't as good as you would like and therefore a bit inattentive.

A really great restaurant! The service was great and very attentive and the cuisine was really great. We are already looking forward to the next time at sole mio! :)

We went to this restaurant for dinner today and unfortunately it was a complete disappointment. The evening started quite well - the starter was actually the only positive thing about our visit. Well prepared, taste OK, but that's about it. After the appetizer, things went downhill rapidly. We had to wait over an hour for our main courses - and that with the restaurant half full. No apology, no indication from the staff that it might take longer. When the courts finally came, it was sobering. The taste is boring and definitely not worth the price. The service was disastrous. Not only did the staff seem completely inattentive and disorganized, after eating we had to wait another 30 minutes to even be able to pay. We tried several times to get the staff's attention, which felt like they were completely ignored. That was simply annoying and unprofessional. If you can only serve a good appetizer and manage to ruin your guests' evening with endless waiting, you should think about it. We're definitely not coming back!

During our vacation in Warnemünde at the end of August, we stopped by here on the first evening. The very nice and courteous service brought the extremely quickly prepared food to us at the outdoor table. The pizza was awesome. I have to admit, I have never seen a prosciutto pizza like this. The dough is really nice. The Bolognese of my companion was also more than on point. We ended up staying here three times during our vacation and we'll definitely stop by again next time. I can only recommend the restaurant. And if you're upset about the prices, please don't forget the location, the ambience and the wage/purchase and operating costs. Top!

Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for our food and drinks. Unfortunately, I can't understand it, given the restaurant's location, where you know there's a lot going on and there's so little staff. At times it seemed to me as if they were overwhelmed. And unfortunately the food was so little that we didn't even feel full. Really a shame.

Congratulations, Sole Mio managed to help me get the most expensive (19 euros) and at the same time the worst Pizza Tonno. How you can make such a tasteless pizza is really a mystery to me. The service was okay for us, but all the employees are obviously under the supervision of the head waitress, which doesn't make the atmosphere particularly pleasant. Well, any portion of fries on the beach would have been better. We were there on August 28th, 2024 and will never be there again.

In the restaurant "Sole Mio", located directly on the promenade, you can enjoy your vacation wonderfully, admire the sunset 🌅 from the terrace or watch the people while relaxing and enjoying the good food. With a little more time and a well-filled wallet in your pocket, you can stay with friendly hosts and receive personal advice if you have any questions about the food, etc. For those in a hurry 🏃‍➡️and those on a budget 🦊, there are plenty of options to eat and drink in the surrounding area. PS: If you generally feel like visiting international gastronomy, you will also find German cuisine in Warnemünde.🥨🍳🍺

The food was good and the service was very lackluster

Normally I avoid negative Google reviews, but what I experienced myself in this restaurant is very contemptuous of customers and quite negative. After complaining about the poor quality of the food, you had the feeling that you were immediately treated unsympathetically. Instead of offering alternatives or apologizing for them, the customer was treated unsympathetically. Words from the waiter/shop owner: You can be lucky that I'm already in a bad mood today and I won't say anything about it. When paying, this gentleman came to the table again and told us not to enter his shop in the future. I have not experienced such disgusting behavior in response to criticism in the last 30 years. The waitress in turn apologized for this disgusting behavior. She was visibly uncomfortable with how we were treated. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend the restaurant. There are plenty of other places along the river where you will receive a warmer welcome. In this restaurant, sympathy towards the customer is out of place. The owner should learn how to deal with constructive criticism instead of expelling a customer from the house. Ridiculous and levelless. There isn't even 1 star for this. Either way, we would never have gone to Sole Mio again.

We had dinner there on a Saturday. The prices are far too high for the dishes and the service offered there. The waiters can't even smile and walk around chewing gum. The head waitress "snorts" at her employees in an unfriendly manner in front of the guests. We sat on the edge on the upholstered bench and the boss stood 20 cm next to us with his shoes on the bench to change something on the patio foil. Sometimes he stood to the right of us and sometimes to the left. Even though we ate there. Such work should be carried out before or after opening. A man walked through the restaurant in only swimming trunks and bare feet who wanted to go to the toilet and was not a guest. Something like that should be stopped. The pizza was watery and incorrect dishes were brought to the table. The noodles were OK, but the portions were really small for the price. For this price level, we cannot recommend the restaurant.

Anything but Italian, especially not the ambience. The food was tasty, but the portions were very small and there was unfortunately no fresh garlic. Pizza large, well topped and juicy. Awareness due to different floor heights and steps within the building is important. Very difficult for those with visual impairments.

We ordered an entrecot and the saffron pasta. The meat was incredibly good, perfectly seasoned and just perfectly medium, the noodles were a taste experience and the salad with it was just good. I can only recommend it!

Waiter somehow not oriented, empty drinks with food. Pizza for €22 soggy, salad tastes very empty. You can eat here, but for the current price level I would look for something else. Service times are very long, people are constantly hiding behind a lack of staff. It's a shame, I would have expected much more for the location.

We took some time out here during the Hanse Sail. We sat at the tables in front of the restaurant and watched everything going on. Due to the exquisite location, it is a bit expensive. The iced coffee was ordered and brought without cream. However, he could have been a little stronger. The service was ok.

Very disappointing visit. It started with the delivery of the wrong drink. The error was only corrected after the second time. I ordered the cheeseburger for just under twenty euros. I got a microwave burger with frozen fries. There are better burgers at every chip shop. Completely overpriced. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Restaurant in a great location. Got a table without a reservation. Waiting time until the order is placed is incredibly long because only the “boss” records it electronically. Staff seem overwhelmed and don't get a smile on their faces. Personal criticism is simply dismissed. Prices for food are disproportionately high and not justified.

I don't actually write reviews, but we were so disappointed today that this has to go! After the three of us arrived, we got a table and the cards. So far so good, but we weren't allowed to order until more than 30 minutes later. Changes to the dishes/drinks were only accepted with a lot of theatrics and objections. First there was a starter and a main course. The drinks and cutlery didn't arrive until ages later. The other main courses came much later. The salami pizza had the plastic wrapper still around the salami. When I asked the boss, he was just cheeky and asked what he could do for it now... The Caesar salad was OK, but the cannelloni were barely edible. The service and prices are just a disgrace. Unfortunately you can't give 0 stars! What a disappointing evening.

Tourist trickery at its best. Take a look at it for yourself. Hospital food is better. Canned tomatoes, warmed and served unseasoned. The fish soup is clear and concise. Completely overpriced and beyond good and bad for the quality. The service doesn't understand German.

I can't judge the food, but the service and the human touch definitely failed here. My 3 year old son had to leave and we assumed that shouldn't be a problem here. At first it was denied and then usage was supposed to cost 2 euros. I couldn't believe it! No problem at all compared to Schusters Warnemünde. I can accept asking an adult for money, but not a 3-year-old child! Sorry, you really messed that up!

Very nice and well located restaurant. We got a seat without a reservation and were served in a friendly manner. The order took a while, it was full. We didn't have to wait that long for the food and it tasted very good. The prices are very high, a pizza for more than 20 euros is a lot. Therefore one point deducted.

Pure rip-off, has nothing in common with Italian food. Tagliatelle with salmon was absolutely inedible, the cream sauce was a mixture of ham and oil, the plate was returned with a complaint, was ignored and charged in full. The prices are absolutely outrageous for the "food". Toilets dirty, no paper, toilet seat next to the bowl. Unfortunately, a star must pass. You can do it with the tourists.

We had empty glasses on the table for 10 minutes, the waiters looked at the empty glasses and just kept walking. The price-performance ratio is definitely not right, I have rarely seen something so cheeky.

We had a really nice evening in the restaurant. We sat in the outdoor area, which is covered, so we were well protected from the rain. There is probably the most delicious tomato soup there. Lemonade was great. Marlower beer is great. The spaghetti with seafood for ≈30€ was definitely worth the money (number 063) Pizzas are from the stone oven and are also very good.

We were there spontaneously for the first time and unfortunately have to say once and never again. We had a salami pizza (16.60 euros) and the grilled turkey breast with salad (22.20 euros). The salami pizza tasted very strange and was watery. The turkey breast was dry and the fries that came with it were limp and way too salty. They had forgotten the salad and only brought it after asking twice. Unfortunately, these two dishes are not recommended.

Stopped there today too. Location is great, right on the promenade. The ambience was typically Italian. The food was OK, but not fancy. However, the prices do. For spaghetti aglio, olio e gamberi €26 is a lot to pay, but it was ok for us because we were hungry and then the direct location... that costs! Half a liter of wine would also be charged 20 euros. Aaaaaab, the service was absolutely not okay!!!! We would have liked to have had dessert and, above all, something else to drink. Unfortunately we had to wait more than 20 minutes for another beer. The oh-so-nice Spanish woman who wielded her scepter as the boss there knew how to greet new customers very nicely, but skillfully ignore us. After being asked to pay three times, we finally went in and wanted to pay. But there too we were ignored at the beginning. Conclusion: the location is great! The prices are unreasonably high and the service is subpar! We have never experienced a treatment like this before, but everyone has to decide for themselves whether they want to visit this location. We definitely won't do it a second time!!!!🤬

We did not have a nice experience. Staff unfriendly. They did not smile once. Arrogant attitude. My mother wanted to use the toilet, a staff member yelled at her; “this is not a public toilet” seriously? Know your guests or don’t say anything at all. Never again!

Unfortunately, service is not a priority here. Since not all the dishes came at the same time, the last one was also delivered incorrectly. However, there was no insight into the bill and it was charged in full.

Pizza didn't look like I expected, but it tasted great. It was light and satisfying, i highly recommend it. The staff spoke English which was a nice perk.

Service and ambience was really good. However, the food was clearly NOT fresh. Bag fries, burger patties from the discount store and fish fingers as well. For the hefty prices I expect reasonable food. For 2 adults and 2 small children, 100 euros were spent on perfectly normal food. We would definitely have had enough at the kebab shop around the corner.

We were there for lunch, the two of us sat with a cheeseburger and a drink each. The drinks came quickly but then we waited a long time for the food and then we were served really ridiculous burgers and fries from Aldi with ketchup and mayonnaise out of the bag. There wasn't a gram specification for the burgers either, so we had to be suspicious For €20 a burger I really expected something different! Then having to wait 20 minutes for the bill at a store that wasn't even full was really bad. Never again! For the first time we didn't tip! We're going out to eat often!

We were there with 6 people. We were quickly assigned a seat outside and given the menus. Then nothing happened for 15 minutes. Due to the lack of service and the disproportionate prices (Spaghetti Aglio e Olio €16.60 and the Pizza Margherita also for the same price), we missed it because the proportionality doesn't fit at all. The margin on these dishes alone is exorbitant in terms of the cost of goods sold. Unfortunately, despite the good location, not recommended.

Very friendly reception. We ate bruscetta and pizza. The bruscetta was well seasoned, fruity and with arugula on top. The pizza was large, thin, crispy base, the way we like to eat. We would love to eat something here again!!!

A nice restaurant, but not near the beach. You can only hear the Baltic Sea but not see it. We had to wait 30 minutes before we were even noticed. We got the card ourselves because no one came. When asked, they said there were only three of us. As a customer, that doesn't interest me, so I can't open all the tables. The starter came before the drinks, shortly after the main course, the first course had not yet been eaten. The main course was also wrong and wasn't remade, but the pineapple was just put on the pizza and brought to the table again. The prices are too high.

The only negative point is the price. However, it is definitely worth spending a little more money for a nice evening.

I had a Margarita pizza and I found it really tasty. The mozzarella cheese was soft and melted in my mouth and the tomato sauce had a really nice unique taste. The staff was also really polite and I could feel the Italian aura.

Extremely overpriced for what is offered in terms of taste. On the other hand, every fish sandwich is worth the money. Great location on the promenade (that's why it got one star), but that's about it. This is what we call a “tourist trap” Reply to Sole Mio. We were definitely not there for the second time, but rather rated our first and last visit. We then went to Casa Mia and enjoyed good food, friendly service and fair prices.

We would come back at any time. The pizza tasted and looked very good and the service was friendly and attentive. We cannot understand the negative reviews. Of course the pizza has its price, but you can still afford it.

Nice friendly staff and delicious ice cream.

The many bad reviews were a reason for us to try the Sole Mio restaurant ourselves. We can't understand why so many people were disappointed here. When we arrived, the boss cleaned a table for us so that we had space, and the starter and main course were ordered promptly despite the restaurant being relatively full. The small negative point was that something apparently went wrong with the starter, three quarters of an hour for a burscetta and a tomato soup was quite a long time, but they then apologized for it and the main course came immediately after the starters had been eaten. Here too we had absolutely nothing to complain about, the pizza was anything but tasteless and the pasta was also a dream. The price is demanding, even for Warnemünde standards, but you shouldn't forget that it is a restaurant right on the beach, 15m from the beach access. Of course you pay for the location somewhere. Nevertheless, we can recommend the Sole Mio without hesitation and were able to convince ourselves that you shouldn't always pay too much attention to the bad reviews from others, because a bad review is always written faster than a good one.

Andrea & Lucio are the heart of this restaurant. We have been coming here again and again for a few years to unwind, enjoy the wonderful food and spend our time with warm people. Time is taken, your wishes are taken into account when ordering and the food is presented attractively. The location and the view round off the Sole Mio. The ox cheeks are amazing! The pizzas are crispy fresh from the pizza oven! Rump steak was cooked medium rare as requested. We can't complain, everything has been delicious so far. Sole Mio is a restaurant run by authentic people who have their hearts in the right place. The chef is also friendly and cooks with love. ♡ Some items on the menu have a special story. If you're interested, you'll also hear some culinary background information. We always enjoy coming here when we go out. Thank you for the delicious food, the warmth, the great conversations, simply for your time. Also wenn mich nicht alles täuscht, habe ich heute einen Cheeseburger bekommen den man bei Lidl fertig bekommt. Es wurde ein frisches Blatt Salat rauf gemacht und ein Klecks Remoulade. NIE WIEDER! Und erst recht nicht bei diesen Preisen!!! Die Bedienung war ok!

We are disappointed! Location and ambience are brilliant. The service staff are distantly friendly. Unfortunately, two of the three people present do not understand either German or English, so misunderstandings arise when ordering. The very expensive food has nothing to do with upscale Italian cuisine that you would otherwise find in Germany. Additionally, the pizza had a lot of very charred bubbles on the edge. Not a word of regret or even a question about whether it should be replaced. We were here twice, the first and the last time.

Wir haben ohne Reservierung einen Tisch für ca. 1 Stunde bekommen, da schon Reservierungen vorlagen. Es hat eine halbe Stunde gedauert, bis wir überhaupt bedient wurden. Die Hälfte der Bestellung haben wir nicht erhalten. Auf die Anfrage bei der Bezahlung, warum es nicht kam, wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass dies nicht mehr vorrätig wäre. Es wäre zuviel los um uns eine Info diesbezüglich mitzuteilen oder eine Alternative anzubieten.

Trotz spontaner Entscheidung haben wir für den Silvesterabend noch einen Tisch erhalten. Das Restaurant rief uns zurück (wie versprochen), nachdem es organisiert und disponiert hatte. Das Ambiente gefällt mir sehr gut. Die Bedienung ist aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Ich bin bereits das zweite Mal hier gewesen und würde definitiv wieder kommen.

Die Bedienung/ Eigentümer war frech und unfreundlich, die ochsenbäckchen für 25€ und das Caesar Dressing waren ungenießbar, die putenbrust kalt, ein Besuch ist nicht empfehlenswert

Wir haben uns gegen Mittag an einem Samstag eine Pizza to go geholt um diese am Strand zu essen. Möglichst unkompliziert wollten wir einfach eine Margarita Pizza und baten darum, dass diese schon für uns geschnitten wird. Die Abwicklung war unkompliziert, man bat uns für die ca 10min Wartezeit einen Platz an und die Pizza war heiß und frisch. Geschmacklich war sie lecker und italienisch. Abzug gibt es für den Preis, denn als die Kellnerin "14€" sagte, habe ich nochmal nachfragt, ob sie das richtig verstanden hätte, dass wir nur eine und nicht zwei Pizzen wollten 😁 sie bejahte dies. 14€ für eine Pizza Margarita finde ich schon ganz schön happig, aber man zahlt wohl die Location bzw Ladenmiete gleich mit (da direkt neben dem Leuchtturm)

Wir hatten einen schönen Nachmittag bei Kaffee und Kuchen (die Sachertorte... yummie) und anderntags einen wundervollen Abend, das Personal war sehr aufmerksam, der Abend kurzweilig, das Essen unglaublich lecker, die Meeresfrüchtepasta war ein Traum. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder. Und ja, es ist nicht billig aber für uns war es jeden Cent wert 😉

Es ist wirklich schade, dass man einen Stern geben muss, der ist aber dann für die Lage des Restaurants. Ich habe lange nicht so teuer und schlecht gegesen. Ich wusste nicht, dass ein durchgebratenes Rumpsteak und ein durchgebratenes Entrecote dünn geklopft und zäher als eine Schuhsohle sein kann. Der Salat wird warscheinlich im Wasser frisch gehalten, anders kann ich mir die halbe Salatschale mit Wasser nicht erklären, ein Dressing wird schon mal nicht empfolen, sondern Öl-, Balsamico- und Pfeffermenage hingeknallt. Die Krönung des Ganzen war dann noch Majo und Ketchup in Tütchen auf dem Anrichteteller, à là Imbiss. Also dieses Restaurant ist wirklich das Letzte. Wir waren am 21. Oktober 23 im Restaurant.

Das Essen war garnicht gut und es hat echt lange gedauert.

Netter Service, Essen ok (Pasta)bis gut (Pizza), Preise Essen hoch, Preise Getränke überzogen. Aufgrund der Getränkepreise würde ich nicht mehr hingehen,trotz der guten Lage.

Klassischer Fall von perfekter Lage im Urlaubsort: Service und Essen eher mittelmäßig dafür aber hochpreisig. Der nächste Urlauber kommt gewiss …

Ein Stern für die Lage (abseits des Rummels am alten Strom … der Namen ist Programm bei dem Menschen-Strom), einen zweiten für die Pizzen. Allerdings: Die teuerste (normale) Pizza unseren Lebens mit > 20 Euro, die verwässersten Spritz unseres Leben (zu einem ebenso ex-orbitanten Preis) … bei der langsamen Bedienung hatten wir sogar noch Glück … im Gegensatz zu anderen Tischen, an denen die Gäste unverrichteter Dinge mehrmals wechselten, kam sie gelegentlich vorbei. (Juni 2023)

Café und Eis war okay aber viel zu teuer

Die beste Calzone die ich je hatte, das Putenschnitzel mit Champignons wurde von meiner Mutter ebenfalls in den höchsten Tönen gelobt. Da sind auch die etwas saftigeren Preise (Warnemünde halt) vollkommen in Ordnung. Auch wunderbar per und mit Rollstuhl besuchbar.

Da war auch alles sehr gut das würde ich jedem empfehlen dann Warnemünde ist auch essen zu gehen sehr lecker

Das Essen war überteuert und der Geschmack mittelmäßig. Der Service ist eine Katastrophe. Andere Gäste sind gegangen, da sie nicht beachtet wurden, obwohl sie bei der Platzwahl noch mit der Kellnerin gesprochen hatten. Es dauerte lange, bis jemand an den Tisch kam um unsere Bestellung aufzunehmen, danach ging es allerdings schneller, als erwartet. Als ich nach dem Essen die schlechte Qualität der Pommes ansprach, warf sie einen Blick auf meinen Teller und gab mir recht. Die hätten noch gut 1-2 Minuten in der Friteuse vertragen können. Als Entschuldigung wurde mir ein Kaffee angeboten. Wir würden nicht nochmal dort essen gehen.

Alles in allem okay aber kein Highlight oder was besonderes.

Alles war gut. Ausser das Essen. Ich habe ei. KABELJAU FILET mit Stechbohnen und Kroketten für 27,90 gegessen.. Das Filet waren... Naja, wenn es viel 100gramm.. Die Bohnen waren fertig. Und Kroketten... Sage und Schreibe 4 Stück. Mein Kind hat einen Milchreis erhalten.. Fertigen aus der Tüte,schmeckt man, auch wenn man Zimt und Zucker seperat dazu gibt. Meine Frau ihr essen war auch sehr großzügig.. Normalerweise schafft sie ihre Portionen NIE... und hat noch den Milchreis unseres Kindes gegessen.. Personal war gemischt, bei uns freundlich.. Bei anderen hat man schon irgendwie gesehen, dass sie überlastet waren. Essensmässig nicht zu empfehlen.. Saufen kannste da bestimmt gut, nur nicht günstig.

So wie vieles in Warnemünde sehr schön, aber nicht besonders.

Das Essen war sehr mittelmäßig und viel zu teuer für so ein Qualität. Das Sommer Getränk war auch nichts, Wasser mit ein Schuss Sirup, auf jeden Fall kein Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Lage direkt an der Promenade ist optimal - gestaltet aber auch den Preis. Essen war lecker und eine gute Portion.

freundlicher Service , das war's ..auf die Bank unserer Tochter prasselte der Regen ..kaum Parmesan in den "Bandnudeln mit Parmesan" wie in der Beschreibung..Pizza Thunfisch schmeckte nach nix .. nichtmal die Zwiebeln hatten Geschmack...und unser kleine hat ihre Pizza Margherita nach 3 bissen stehenlassen mit den Worten schmeckt nach nix ..Preise richtig frech..WIR kommen definitiv NICHT nochmal vorbei...

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Ich hatte ein Steak und die Burrata Käse als Vorspeise. Das Steak war toll es hatte eine sehr leckere Würzung und es war Perfekt gebraten. Ich hatte dann noch was von der Pizza Margarita gegessen die meine Begleitung nicht mehr geschafft hatte. Die Pizza war unglaublich lecker und Aromatisch. Der Serveris war sehr nett und das Ambiente was sehr gemütlich. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Abend. Immer zu empfehlen.

Wir hatten wieder einen schönen Abend. Das Essen war sehr lecker und der Service sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen wieder! 👍
