Sole Doro Pizzeria in Schweich

We had made a reservation. We were greeted warmly and shown to our table. The service was courteous and attentive. The menu was varied, and our food was delicious.

This pizzeria is simply fantastic! The pizzas are fresh, crispy, and topped with high-quality ingredients – every bite tastes like it was made with care. The pasta and salad dishes are also delicious and beautifully presented. The service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Perfect for a relaxed dinner with family or friends. Highly recommended!

We were there for dinner. The place felt like a large cafeteria where you get served quickly and money is collected. When I ordered, I already knew it wasn't going to be good. The waiter didn't understand what was the starter and what was the main course. And that's exactly what happened: we got everything at the same time. The goulash soup was from a can and tasted awful. The bruschetta was just okay. The pizza was rubbish. The dough was rubbery. The crust wasn't crispy; the only bright spot was the topping: fresh mushrooms and real ham (not pressed meat). The Coke Zero lacked carbonation. The lasagna was okay. But since everything arrived at the same time, it was cold. The price/performance ratio isn't really right here. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place, which is a shame. In summer, the outdoor area is a highlight for relaxing and having a drink.

We've been guests at Sole d'Oro for over 20 years and are always very... very satisfied, whether as a couple or in a group of up to 10 people. The food is delicious and plentiful. I recently had baked scampi, simply delicious 😋 to die for. Friends praised the appetizer, which tasted even better than on our previous vacation in Italy 💯🤩👍 It's a pleasure for us every time we visit, and the service is first-class. We've been there several times and always enjoy coming back. Very good food and friendly service. This time we went for lunch, it wasn't busy, so the food came very quickly. All in all, highly recommended.

We reserved a table for four people last Saturday evening. The food and drinks arrived quickly after ordering. The quality of the food was good for a typical Italian restaurant. The staff was attentive and friendly at all times. The ambiance is pleasant and clean. Depending on where you sit, it can get quite noisy at peak times. We particularly found the value for money to be very good and would happily come back here next time we're in the area.

No thanks, never again...reserved for nine people and then no table free and left standing in the rain, that's not acceptable...I can't recommend it to anyone

I booked a table for 9 people. Four days later, we went at 6 p.m. and were told we'd only booked for 5. A short time later, it turned out that they had supposedly booked us for Monday instead of Sunday, so there was nothing available for us. We were welcome to wait outside "for a bit" until something became available, and they could push the tables together. Thirty minutes later, we were standing outside under umbrellas in the wind and rain, and no one came to us, so we left. Awful!!! I won't say anything more!!! The pizzeria a few blocks away is highly recommended 😉

I ordered a salad, and on top were 6-7 distinctly wilted, sometimes even rotten leaves. It's no question that there might be a "bad" leaf in there, but in this case, they deliberately decided to serve the salad like this. Unfortunately, that's it for me; I won't be ordering or visiting again. The pizza bread was okay.

Ordered 2 spaghetti Bolognese. One child's portion for a lighter snack cost €11, and the other for €12. The difference was that the child's portion was only half the adult portion, but they charged the full price, except for a difference of €1. If you're looking to pay less for a light snack, this isn't the place for you. The same applies to pizzas.

Unfortunately, there are better pizza options in Switzerland. But the atmosphere is very good.

We regularly visit our "regular" pizzeria, Sole Doro. Whether we go with friends, family, or just as a couple, it's always a treat. I used to eat there regularly as a child, and now I go there with my own children. The staff is super friendly, courteous, and attentive. The ambiance hasn't really changed, but that's not a bad thing at all, as it's simply cozy and always brings back memories. Pizzeria Sole Doro is a great place for us "locals" as well as for all kinds of tourists. I've had the experience of being treated differently as a "tourist" in other restaurants, not in a positive way, but here everyone is treated equally warmly, and everyone gets the same quality food on their plate. So if you're looking for a great pizzeria, then you've come to the right place.

Horrible experience unfortunately, 8-10 years ago was a great place, now Pizzas were undercoocked and dough drawn in enormous amount of fat so i think they deep fry the pizza not bake it. I have ordered deliverey which came in 15mins, when i have requested a refund it took 3 days via Lieferando (spend nearly 70euros on order) only to find out there wont be any as the owner doesnt agree. Of course i paid online upfront and i am left with nothing, so adding few pictures to share what i got delivered. I do not recommend it anymore, food is just fake and poor quality,and there are perfect restaurants cooking fresh around. I am also shocked the owner hasnt got in touch with me, or approved the refund or came up with solution after seeing pictures. I will no longer chase it, but they just lost a customer that was with them over 10 yrs.

I always enjoyed coming to this restaurant but that has changed since today. I have reserved a table for 9 people plus 1 children's chair for Easter Sunday. I repeated 6 p.m. three times on the phone, which was also confirmed to me. We arrived and were then told it was closed at 5 p.m. which is absolutely not true. On a day like this it's a complete impudence to turn people out again. I understand hospitality differently. It was the last time we visited this restaurant.

So there is no other restaurant in Schweich that is nearly as good and great as SOLE DORO!!!! EVERYTHING IS RIGHT! ONCE THERE AND THERE!! Everything you order is a full hit of taste!

Ordered Schnitzel Parmigiana last night. Fast delivery and tasted super delicious.

Yesterday evening I had a very interesting interpretation of a cordon bleu....yes what can I say, a schnitzel in the aluminum shell on top, a slice of cheese and a slice of ham and on top then just another schnitzel...to top it off it was drowned in a quick packet of sauce...😂 my wife got two schnitzel stamps drowned in quick sauce and sloppy cans of mushrooms. This high-quality evening meal was available for a mere €36. So for a shop that even sells exotic delicacies like snails, it was very disappointing. I know snack bars where you can get a schnitzel with fries and salad for €12, but they are in a completely different league in terms of gastronomy and quality. 😂 So unfortunately I can't recommend this place. I'm just wondering where all the positive reviews come from... it's not understandable.

No friendly greeting Unfortunately, starters didn't taste as expected. Tomato soup like packet soup... Unfortunately the main course was also disappointing. Pizza base too thick, half raw. After a quarter you didn't feel like it anymore. Not crispy at all but very heavy. Calzone was ok. Since we are currently on vacation nearby, we will definitely not come again. Waiting time was quite long, you weren't asked if you wanted something else to drink. We rightly skipped dessert. Too bad!

Pizza was terrible. It didn't taste good, it probably wasn't fully baked, Dr. Oetker pizza tastes better...

I've been eating there every now and then for 30 years. The atmosphere is nice, the food is good. But …. In all these years I have never been asked if I would like something else to drink, or a dessert, or an espresso, etc. Not once. Apparently you don't want to make money. I don't understand it, service is something else, it's a real shame.

Highly recommended. The food is very, very good and arrives relatively quickly depending on the time. Service is very friendly and there is a nice atmosphere that feels cozy. Parking spaces are available and there is also an outdoor area. It is also relatively cheap and very affordable. (Two pictures from two visits on different days (Pizza 346))

Rating for Sole Doro Pizzeria, Schweich I had the pleasure of visiting Sole Doro Pizzeria in Schweich and all I can say is that it was a wonderful experience. The pizzeria offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing evening with friends or family. The menu offers an impressive selection of pizzas, all freshly made. I ordered a Pizza Tonno and it was simply delicious! The dough was perfectly crispy, the ingredients were fresh and rich - simply delicious. Another plus point is that Sole Doro is one of the few pizzerias in the area that also delivers really good food. This is a big advantage if you want to stay at home. However, there is still room for improvement when it comes to service. The waiters seemed a bit distant and showed little sympathy, which spoiled the overall experience a bit. A friendlier approach would certainly help to make the atmosphere even more pleasant. Nevertheless, I can recommend Sole Doro to anyone who is in the area and wants authentic Italian pizza. I'm looking forward to my next visit and hope the service improves next time!

Ordered food. A pizza was made from salami tuna. When I called directly, the woman said, be happy... it's more expensive... huhhhhh... I also paid more. So next time I order pizza I'll take Brain. I'll definitely get more, and above all, warm. 30 euros in that sense for a small pizza. And no one escaped though Yes it wasn't my fault. I'm really tired of them...not the first time......and bye...

We had a big meal there with some friends. Everything was delicious, good staff.

At 1 p.m. we had reserved a table for 6:30 p.m. for 7 people with the addition of please sit outside. It was said that reservations cannot be made outside if there is a free table we can go outside. When we arrived there was a large table available. We then had to leave it because it was supposedly reserved. When I complained in a normal tone, they said I should be quieter because of the other guests.... When they gave our table to another group, they said it was a misunderstanding but they couldn't move the group, but that was fine with us... .first visit to the restaurant and it was the last.... We then went to il Forno, also in Schweich and it was great and there was no problem with 7 people.

Good restaurant. Ambiance on the terrace was very good. Staff friendly and prompt. Free public parking right next to it. Food also great. However, the pizza was too soft for me personally. But it's definitely a matter of taste. But the topping and taste are very good. The other guests' noodles looked great. It's just a small thing. Restaurant is definitely recommended. Prices okay too.

So I ordered the carbonara. Why the hell are there onions in there... when are there onions in there? What's going on there?

Service and atmosphere are fine. There is a children's playground, which is why the restaurant is busy at all. Unfortunately the food is extremely bad. It doesn't taste fresh and the pizza dough just looks store-bought.

We haven't been there for a long time and it was a good thing. The quality of the food keeps going downhill. No better than the Arkadas 100m further but with a terrace. The lasagne was completely over salted. I didn't see anything about tomato sauce. The Combinazione was the same and the pizzas... I'll save it. It just wasn't tasty. Just make an effort and you'll feel like coming over, but what?

Under all guns. The service should not be described as such. Everything takes an incredibly long time, whether you want something to eat, drink or even the bill. The dessert that we waited an hour for was frozen (and, no, it wasn't ice cream!) I probably won't come here again... I'm going home now and have a drink!

Chef's salad super fresh and delicious. I think the dressing was served separately and was very good. Tagliatelle alla Romana was very tasty. Gypsy-style schnitzel just right with delicious sauce.

We have eaten there many times and have always been very satisfied. Today was different. There were 8 small crabs in tagliatelle with spinach and crabs! (My girlfriend with the same dish around 20). The waiter was even unfriendly than usual. The fact that I asked him to bring me cutlery and a napkin with my meal (which he then carelessly slammed onto the table) was obviously too much. It's a shame that we're now thinking about where we'll meet next time.

Ich habe in den letzten Jahren schon öfters dort gegessen. Sowohl drinnen als auch draußen kann man gut sitzen. Der Service ist immer freundlich und aufmerksam. Je nachdem wie voll es ist, wartet man schonmal etwas länger. Aber das Essen ist gut und der Preis ist auch in Ordnung.

Pizza toppings sliding from the base - cheese flying carpet - that's what it was. Not cooked properly. We expected diarrhoea and got it! Look for other places to eat. They don't know how to make a pizza. I hope they will listen and improve. Do not order calamari - it's frozen and cooked from the bag.

Wir hatten Pizza bestellt, haben kostenlos eine Flasche Wein dazu bekommen, war zu Hause ,eine falsche Pizza dabei gewesen ,direkt angerufen und reklamiert, sofort gesagt bekommen sie bekommen eine neue Pizza und mußte sie nicht bezahlen finde ich super Service, immer gerne da bestellen oder essen gehn

Das ist dort nicht einfach eine Pizzeria. Ich habe Fisch von der Karte gegessen und es war superlecker. Der Kellner war sehr nett und aufmerksam. Ich würde es als italienisches Restaurant bezeichnen. Klare Empfehlung 👍👍👍

Wir waren lange nicht mehr dort, leider hat es sich nicht verbessert, schade.

Pizza schmeckt dort sehr lecker. Die Tortellini a la Nonna sind an sich gut. Aber die Soße ist halt so gar nicht gewürzt, was etwas schade ist. Ich habe das Gericht zu Hause mit Gewürzen verfeinert, dann war es top. Sitzen tut man dort sehr schön, Mitarbeiter sind immer freundlich und Essen bestellen zum abholen klappt auch gut.

Bei einer Lieferung habe ich das Gefühl, schwanken die Pizzen gerne mal von der Qualität. Sie sind teilweise so sehr mit Öl getränkt, das es schon leicht unangenehm zu essen ist und wenn sie dann noch geliefert wird, kommt sie komplett durchgeweicht an. Eine Lieferung kann ich daher nicht empfehlen, nach Möglichkeit sollte man die Pizza Vorort essen oder selbst abholen fahren. Seitdem wir sie selbst abholen fahren, keine Probleme mehr und sehr lecker. Preislich eher auf der teureren Seite für eine Pizza in der Größe.

Waren zum Tagesausflug in Luxemburg und wollten eigentlich dort Essengehen. Da dort schon eine Pizza Margherita 14 Euro gekostet hat, haben wir uns entschieden lieber ein kleines Stück zu fahren. Sind dann zum Glück auf diese Pizzeria gestoßen. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkomnend und hat mir trotz Sonderbestellung die besten Muscheln an Spaghetti seit Jahren serviert. Schmackhafte frische Tomaten und ich konnte alles mit der Gabel essen, ohne dass meine Finger voll mit Soße bekleckert wurden, da die Muscheln schön an der Seite drapiert waren. Sind mit der ganzen Familie zu viert unter 80 Euro satt und glücklich weitergefahren.

Nach meiner Meinung eine der besten Pizzarien im Umkreis.Schönes Ambiente,top Service und ganz leckere Pizzen. Mein Favorit die Speziall Überraschung....La Caduna! Top!!

Eine sehr schöne Pizzaria mit leckerem Essen. Extrawünsche sind gar kein Problem. Besonders gut ist der Außenspielbereich. Dort können die Kinder spielen und die Familie kann auch draußen sitzen.

Wir sind schon zigmal dort gewesen wenn wir an der Mosel waren ,es schmeckt alles sehr gut,Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, immer wieder einen Besuch wert.
