Unfortunately, it's extremely overpriced. Lao/Vietnamese dishes are served at exorbitant prices. The food tastes good, though. Service is rather lackluster.

The food is delicious! Very aromatic. The service was good, although the staff seemed very hectic and sometimes served the table in a very hectic manner. The ambiance is very nice. You feel at home and are happy to linger. A definite recommendation.

Impeccable, one of the better Asian restaurants in Karlsruhe. The three of us went for lunch and had sushi, noodles, and rice. Everything was top-notch: the fish was fresh, the beef was juicy, the duck was crispy – and that was for 15 euros for lunch (it would be 25 euros for dinner). The outdoor seating is nice, and the service is fast. So: Absolutely recommended, thumbs up, we'd be back.

The ambiance was nice (courtyard), but unfortunately, we had to wait a while for our food and the bill. The tofu was all gone (around 5 p.m.), and the beetroot sauce needed more seasoning. The soki bowls with peanut or sesame sauce, however, were very good, and the portions were large, more than enough for the three of us.

The sushi platter for two was the best sushi I've had in a long time. The fish and vegetables are very fresh, and the food looks very good. I highly recommend it! The staff is very friendly, and I'll be back.

I went to this restaurant for lunch on a Sunday at a around 1 PM, and even though the restaurant was quiet and relatively empty, both the waitress and the service for the sushi were quite slow, especially the waitress. We had to wait more for the waitress to come back to our table to take the order for the sushis than what we had to wait for the appetisers to be ready.

The service is good; nothing negative here, but nothing exceptional either. The ambiance is also really nice, at least inside; I haven't eaten outside yet. P.S.: I've only eaten vegetarian food there so far. I can't comment on the quality of the meat.

I recently visited this Asian restaurant and had mixed feelings. The sushi and sashimi were definitely solid. The quality of the fish was good and the preparation was professional, which is crucial for Japanese cuisine. You can tell that they value fresh ingredients. However, I have to say that the prices are quite high. For the quality and quantity offered, I would have expected a bit better value. The ambiance was pleasant, but not exceptional enough to justify the higher prices. In summary, you can get good sushi here if you're willing to dig a little deeper into your pockets. I could imagine it for a special occasion, but for regular visits, it would be too expensive for me personally.

Sorta disappointed, since I expected the place to be a bit better. Food was pretty good, but the waiting staff was a bit inconsistent. Note to allergy sufferers the mochi comes with mango contrary to what the waitress had said that the optional fruit is watermelon and grapes. Also, the mochi that is listed on the dessert section of the menu is not mochi but rather mochi ice cream

War hier zum Mittagessen; das Lokal ist schön ruhig in einem Innenhof gelegen und auch stylisch eingerichtet. Mein Hauptgericht war lecker. Außerhalb des Mittagessens finde ich die Preise recht hoch für die asiatische Küche; Sushi kann ich nicht bewerten.

I ordered duck with peanut sauce and 8 pieces of sushi. Unfortunately, I would not recommend the restaurant based on the taste. The curry was blandly seasoned, and on top of that, the vegetables like lettuce and Broccoli, which either was tasteless and/or had high water content, were used. This added to the blandness of the curry. While the presentation was nice, the dishes lacked real substance. The meal cost around 20€, so I expected a higher quality. The sushi was acceptable: the mango was fresh. Fish freshness was acceptable. Service was good. The restaurant was busy at that time but the Server still took adequate care of me. The ambience of restaurant was really good. Well decorated. May be the Establishment specialised more on sushi.

The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, very welcoming and pleasant. Everything is clean, well-kept and designed with a lot of style. Toilets are super clean. Everything is just right here – from the atmosphere to the service. Definitely 5 out of 5 stars!

Wir waren am Ostermontag in diesem Restaurant. Der Empfang und die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Das erste Ärgernis war, das er meine Vorspeise vergessen hat zu servieren, obwohl er sie in sein Mobilgerät eingetragen hat. Sie wurde dann erst nach Aufforderung serviert wurde. Geschmacklich waren die Teigtaschen mit Hähnchen ganz OK, ich hatte schon bessere. Eigentlich wollte ich ja als Hauptspeise Sushi essen, als ich aber auf der Karte die 67: (geschälten) Riesengarnelen mit den Undo Nudeln und Knoblauch-Butter Soja entdeckt habe, hatte ich meine Entscheidung ganz schnell getroffen. Als das Gericht dann serviert wurde, war ich extrem enttäuscht. Die „Riesengarnelen“ entpuppten sich als 5 kleine Garnelen, an denen die Schwänze noch dran waren, dass sie größer aussehen. Geschmacklich war das ganze Gericht extrem langweilig, Knoblauch hat das Gericht nie gesehen, sonstige Gewürze sehr sparsam. Die Garnelen waren sowas von totgekocht, Konsistenz kurz vor Radiergummi! Aber der Preis war dafür ziemlich gesalzen; 26,50€ wollten die für die „Riesengarnelen“ mit den Undo Nudeln haben. Bei einem Materialeinsatz von rund 5 Euro eine tolle Gewinnspanne. Als ich beim Abräumen die Bedienung auf die Mini Garnelen ansprach , sagte er, er werde es der Küche ausrichten. Übersetzt heißt das: Ist mir völlig egal. Ich hätte doch Sushi essen sollen. Das war zwar preislich auch sehr teuer, aber die Portionen sahen bei meinem Mann sehr lecker aus. Meinem Mann war heute Nacht trotzdem schlecht…!

I went there two times, both times the food was very good! It’s big and it was full so the food took some time to arrive, but it was fine. Sushi was delicious! They have a very large menu, which is good because in big groups for example, there is something for everyone.

We visited the restaurant last Friday (03/28/25) in Karlsruhe. The ambience and service were really great. The food was also delicious, I had the Pho Bo soup and my girlfriend had a sushi platter. However, as I didn't know before, the soup contains cinnamon, which I have never liked in terms of smell or taste, so it wasn't 100% my cup of tea. Nevertheless, the meat and noodles were really good and you could taste the freshness of the ingredients. In itself, for anyone who doesn't mind an intense cinnamon taste/smell, it's definitely a great meal. I didn't try the sushi myself, but my girlfriend was very impressed. All in all, we would definitely visit the restaurant again, but would choose a different dish for me, purely based on preference. Still 5 stars because the preparation and everything was top☺️

Viel Licht, viel Schatten. Summerrolls mit viel Inhalt und wenig Geschmack. Dumplins als schmackhafte Mini-Portion vorweg. Als Hauptgang ein grünes Curry mit Hühnchen, dass nach Fertigsauce aus dem Supermarktregal schmeckt. Die Sushi-Platte schmeckte ok. Insgesamt zu teuer. In Berlin hätte die mit diesen Preise und dem Auftritt keine Chance. Der Außenbereich machte einen abgeranzten Eindruck. Die zerfransten und speckigen Speisekarten gehen ebenfalls überhaupt nicht. Insgesamt muss man diesen Laden nicht wieder besuchen.

If you're looking for the best sushi in the area, Soki Garden is the place to be. There's a wide selection of dishes (whether sushi, curry, etc.). The prices may be a bit on the "expensive" side, but I think they're reasonable. The food is really delicious and freshly prepared. The ambiance is very nice. When the weather's warmer, you can even sit outside ☀️

Light and shadow: Lots of summer rolls with little taste, delicious dumplins in homeopathic doses as a starter. The green curry with chicken was generously portioned, unfortunately it tasted like ready-made Kattus sauce from the supermarket. The sushi platter was solid. Overall too expensive for the performance offered. In addition, the scrappy, rancid menus unfortunately don't work at all.

I have been coming to Soki Garden so many times now. I never make a reservation and we are always lucky to get a spot and are always greated so friendly. Whenever i have family or friends visiting who crave Sushi I bring them here. But not only the Sushi is great everything i or anybody ever had to eat was delicious. The plating is always really nice too. I never had bad service. So really I don't have anything negative to say. Great place to enjoy a wonderful evening.

Exceptional quality of the fish used for the sushi. Everything is freshly made by the sushi chefs, you can see them working on your meal through the glass bar, which is really fun and admirable. Wine and duck were also great.

I ate the crispy duck with rice. The sauce with a note of lemongrass i.v.m. The slight spiciness was a real taste kick. The portion was generous and the prices were very reasonable, even for a student city. I have rarely eaten so deliciously and cheaply. Keep it up!

Very delicious Japan-Vietnamese fusion kitchen. The options are many options and all look incredible. We tried a lot of them, and they were really tasty. One of the better restaurants Karlsruhe has to offer, with a very good variety of Sushi. Service was slow-ish but the place was full, so it's comprehensible and the quality outshone all. Really great decoring and we'll be back for sure!

It was a calm and cozy place. Didn't need any reservation. Although the service could've been quicker, it wasn't too slow either. Food was good and many varieties available. Good choice for any japanese cuisine enthusiasts.

We liked the Soho. The ramen was good; we managed to get a seat on a Saturday around 5 p.m. without a reservation. The service was friendly and attentive. The only point deducted was because we heard an unpleasant beeping noise from the kitchen at our table. We assume it was a machine. Others were also covering their ears. Eventually, it went away. We'll be back in the summer when you can sit in the Passagenhof. All in all, highly recommended. The Soho is part of the Soki Garden, and at least the dining areas are connected.

We chose the Soki Garden on Waldstrasse to eat sushi. The restaurant is nicely designed and quite large. The food was very good - both attractively presented and tasty. We had some appetizers and a large sushi platter that had a lot of variety 👌🏻 The service was a bit slow, we had to wait a long time to be assigned to a table, as well as to order drinks and food - the restaurant was very busy on Sunday evening, but that could be better - especially at this price point. The restaurant was very loud - we found that annoying. It is also a bit drafty near the door, so you should pay attention to that. Culinary absolutely recommended!

My wife and I decided to visit Soki Garden without reservations, which was not an issue. First impressions: the decor was beautiful and the atmosphere was calm and pleasent. The staff was friendly and quick. Food: the portions were good and each dish was very tasty, except the creme Brulee - it had (for me) to much of a lemony taste to it. Price: the price is slightly above average, but in my opinion, definitely worth it. Conclusion: we will dine here again 😊

We were also impressed by the selection of drinks, especially the cocktails – exceptional and perfectly matched. The SOKI GARDEN is definitely a place we will gladly return to again and again. For us, it is one of the best restaurants in Karlsruhe!

Delicious burgers, nice atmosphere and nice staff, but sometimes you have to wait longer

The food was okay, except they forgot the soy sauce. The waitress gave me a nice seat in the corner, but when I said I had to step out for a moment to pick up my companion, I asked if I could keep the seat, which the waitress agreed to. But when I came back, the seat was gone. They then gave me a seat by the entrance, where there were no proper chairs, so we had to put our jackets on the floor. Plus, there were people coming and going all the time, which made it constantly cold.

The food is truly excellent and reasonably priced. The fried sushi is amazing, and the fish quality is really good. Everything arrives quickly, and the seared tuna is also delicious and cooked to perfection. The service can be a bit slow at times, but the servers are also competent. The atmosphere is great, and this is one of the best and most affordable restaurants in all of Karlsruhe.

Delicious food with a difference!

Wir waren an einem Samstagabend zu Zweit im Soki Garden. Der Service war aufgrund sprachlicher Barrieren eher schwierig, aber okay. Wir hatten jeweils eine Vorspeise, ein Getränk und eine teurere Hauptspeise. Alle Gerichte waren wirklich sehr lecker, das Preis/Leistung-Verhältnis war aber aufgrund der kleinen Portionsgrößen insgesamt nur mittelmäßig. Zudem waren die Hauptgerichte leider lauwarm/kalt. Das Feedback an den Service bzgl. der Essenstemperatur wurde achselzuckend hingenommen, was wir als nicht wertschätzend empfanden. Möglicherweise war aber auch das der sprachlichen Barriere geschuldet. Wir fanden es preislich zu teuer und werden daher nicht mehr hingehen.

We were at Soki Garden for lunch. It was no problem getting a table spontaneously for two people. The staff is friendly, but at times they seem a bit reserved. The decor is Asian-chic, and the restaurant is cozy and clean. There's plenty of space at your table, and it's not too close to other tables. The menu caters to every taste. There's a lunch menu with fair prices. I find the main dishes on the menu a bit overpriced for the amount of food. Even a tea for just under €6 is too expensive, in my opinion. The food was consistently delicious, though. The ingredients seem fresh, and as we all know, food is also a feast for the eyes. Here, the eye gets its money's worth. With a starter, main course, dessert, and a drink, the total comes to around €50. Which is really okay for the quality of the food. You can pay by card, and for moms: There's a changing table in the accessible restroom.

I'll leave you room for improvement, because as we all know, nobody's perfect. I'll be playing more Japanese music. 🙂

With this price level, food is quite good but not surprising me. They served the food slowly maybe because of busy hours. We went there with friends so we talked a lot but if we were going alone then it would take us long time to get the main courses.
