Update 2024: I made my first review for Oishii 4 years ago and gave it five stars. For the price and quality, place WAS a good choice. Nowadays, the prices are higher but the quality is worse. I will not go there anymore. Ordered items are often forgotten or mistaken, the fish tastes like fridge and all the other items besides it also have gotten worse sadly... Even the Gyoza which was one of the highlights from the place is bad. I wish they turn around and improve their quality, but after my second time going there in a span of 6 months and not seeing any improvements, I will give up on it and go somewhere else. RIP Oishii

I had a spontaneous meal there with a friend on a Friday evening. The system here takes some getting used to, as you can order an all you can eat meal. My husband and I were there on November 2nd (Saturday) around 5:45 p.m. Really well attended. We were given a table that was so close to another that you would have thought we all belonged together. Quality is terrible. 90% of the (warm) food is actually cold, if what was ordered even came. Then we received dishes that we didn't order. When we said it wasn't ours, eyes rolled. I got something that tasted exactly like dog food smells. Couldn't swallow it (thanks for serving) At some point I no longer had any nerves, I just wanted to pay and leave. We had to wait almost 30 minutes and I let them know 4 times. When she finally came and my husband paid with a card, she stood there for ages, probably waiting for a tip. I always give, but not this time!! For what? We paid €67 and we were still hungry. Or for the self-absorbed waiter who always looked in the mirror and almost lost his chewing gum while eating? Or picked at the nose and then served the plates with it. BON APPETIT!!! I will never go to the store again. There are definitely better ones!!

The price is really great and the portions are very generous. So far we have only tried the allyoucaneat at lunchtime and can only recommend it. Ordering is done via tablet. We were there for the first time today. The service was reasonably good, we waited over 45 minutes until things from the first round were brought to us. After I asked 3 times I was told sorry, the kitchen can't keep up. But people assume they can do that! Getting to the point avoids going there on the weekend. We go out to eat very, very often, but something like this hasn't happened to us in a long time. There was no apology either. Unfortunately that was our last visit with you.

Drinks and food are ordered from a tray. A bit confusing at the beginning, but thanks to the help from the neighboring table everything was quite easy. We'll be back.

Worst buffet I've ever been to. The sushi is horrible. Unfortunately I didn't take a picture of the first round but it had a HUGE amount of rice. They literally filled us up with rice on the first round. The second round was better, but still look at that amount of salmon in the picture. What is that. The rest of the dishes were meh. The miso soup was not even edible. Don't come if you want good sushi, save your money.

Funny! When making a phone call the price was quoted as 22.90, when it arrived there it was 27. You have 2 hours from when you enter the store, funny white people take their time explaining that you have to order with the iPad. 15 minutes are lost, then you order something that then takes 10 minutes per order, then the store suddenly becomes full of things that I hadn't ordered or they didn't even come to. Food itself is ok, but it's really an impudence like they are waste the time.

This was a very cool place. At the start you get an iPad on which u can order on. There are 15 rounds in which u can order different foods. After every round u need to wait around 5 minutes until you can order again. The sushi was decent. The fried salmon and tuna were one of the best! The staff was very polite even tho some didn't speak English that well. The miso soup wasn't very good.

The advertisement says you can order 15 rounds, but when you eat more than five rounds, the female boss will come over to greet you cordially and tell you that only 🐷 can order more than five rounds. Tonight I went to Oishii for dinner with my family. I had gastric sleeve surgery. For those who don't know, it is a stomach enlargement procedure that requires you to eat in small portions. I explained the situation to the waiters and showed them my hospital card. I could only order two nigiri and one portion of sashimi on the menu. Despite this medical certificate, they didn't believe me, so much so that I had to change chairs so they could observe me better. All the waiters spent the entire evening watching our table to make sure I didn't eat the all-you-can-eat food my family ordered. I will never go in there again. I felt like a thief.

We go to the Japanese restaurant regularly, at least once a month. Here for the first and last time. Manageable quality and selection. Dessert selection consists only of ice cream, no fruit salad, lychees or mochi. The ice cream is okay. You won't find a selection of sauces such as sweet and sour, peanut etc., there is an overly seasoned standard sauce. Sushi is carelessly served on a small DinA5 sized wooden bowl. The fish tastes older. In the sushi, the skin of the salmon was not removed and neither was the fat layer. Spring rolls and squid rings are probably low-quality frozen products. Plus, the chicken and duck were dripping with fat. The service was attentive and friendly. There will not be a second visit.

We went to Oishii today. We have been there several times in recent years, but today we noticed that the owner has changed again but everything about the dishes has remained the same. Overall a very nice, clean shop. Unfortunately, the food was very, very heavily seasoned with pepper and salt, and it took a long time for the food to arrive compared to the last few times, even though the shop was almost empty. In some cases orders were not delivered at all and were simply “forgotten”. Sushi kept falling apart and was soggy. Overall, the food just wasn't good. Unfortunately, the drinks didn't arrive cold and were simply pushed diagonally across the counter and not even brought to the table. It's a shame, unfortunately it's no longer worth a visit for us.

When we asked how we could order from the menu, we were initially told that we were already registered as all-you-can-eat. Customer friendliness = 0 you are told straight away what you can and can't order... Even though it says all you can eat. We can't do more than 4 rounds anyway. It's best to order drinks as soon as you sit down. The food was quite ok. Except the salmon, which smelled very strongly and was definitely not fresh. You don't feel comfortable as a guest. The oiishi has diminished a lot. Many positive reviews seem more like fake reviews to me. You have lost us as loyal customers!!

Went to oishii all you can eat as a family. The first time we tried the sushi salmon we noticed a strong fishy smell. When we gave oishiii a second chance and went there again, there was again a strong fishy smell from the salmon. Unfortunately no fresh fish is served here. The friendliness of the boss leaves a lot to be desired. We were told right at the beginning not to order so much salmon sushi. We only ordered this for the first round. They want to fill you up as quickly as possible in order to make a profit. Am very disappointed. The food got stuck in our throats before we could even get started.

Great all you can eat restaurant for Asian and Chinese food. Nice atmosphere and very friendly, courteous staff, child-friendly!! High chairs available. Changing facilities available in the toilet. Food that you choose via the tablet arrives promptly and generously portioned. We like to be guests there when we are in Karlsruhe.

We were there on Tuesday evening around 5:30 p.m., made a reservation, but that wasn't necessary because everything was still free. Were warmly welcomed and immediately taken to a seat. The ambience is okay so far, but it's not entirely harmonious, you don't feel quite as comfortable. But that's a matter of taste. Ordered via an iPad which is actually a cool idea. Unfortunately, the selection isn't particularly large and unfortunately the food didn't taste particularly good either. It didn't really taste fresh, but rather like it had been in the fridge for a day and the frittie rted things like they came from the freezer. It was a real shame because everything on the website made a very good impression. The constant clearing of the empty plates by 5 different waitresses made everything a bit uneasy, as did the food being brought by 5 different people, and then only one plate at a time and the person opposite me hadn't had anything, which was quite disadvantageous. Unfortunately we won't be eating there anymore. .

Good food but the sushi rice wasn't really good. Homemade is even better. Otherwise very tasty and quick. In terms of price compared to other all you can eat offers, the one in Rastatt is 10x better. Still okay.

Ich war Stammkunde seit 2015 und gestern war das letzte Mal, dass ich Oishii besucht habe. Damit es jeder weiß, kommt die Werbung nun mit "All you can eat" mit Bedingungen. Das heißt, man kann nur ein bis drei Mal dasselbe bestellen. Es war enttäuschend, da der letzte Chef keine besonderen Bedingungen hatte. Mit der Zeit habe ich Kollegen und andere Freunde zu Oishii eingeladen. Leider wird das nie mehr der Fall sein. Ich habe die Kellnerin höflich darauf angesprochen und sie hat laut und unhöflich gesagt, dass man nicht so oft dasselbe bestellen kann. Übrigens kommt noch eine Bedingung hinzu, wie andere Kunden erwähnt haben: Man muss ein Getränk bestellen, sonst muss man extra 4€ pro Person zahlen. Oft haben wir die bestellten Essen nie bekommen. Nicht nur einmal, sondern regelmäßig gab es Ausfälle. Es gab einen Besuch, bei dem die Kellnerin nicht-bestelltes Essen zu uns gebracht hat. Anschließend wurden wir von der Kellnerin geschimpft. Gestern war es besonders unangenehm, als wir beobachteten, wie der Kellner das Essen behandelte. Manchmal hat er das Essen unbeabsichtigt berührt und hat die Platten mit den leeren Tellern von anderen Kunden zusammen mit frischem Essen benutzt. In der Gastronomie sollte man verstehen, dass man niemals die gesammelten leeren Teller und die neuen Teller aus der Küche mischt. Wir haben insgesamt 62€ für 2 Personen bezahlt und hatten mehr erwartet. Wir haben den Chef gesehen und wollten mit ihm sprechen. Leider war es erfolglos, als wir über den schlechten Service berichten wollten. Wir haben bezahlt und das Restaurant verlassen. Auffällig war, dass dieselbe Kellnerin bei der Zahlung ein anderes Verhalten zeigte als zuvor, als sie an mir geschrien hatte. Man sollte sich hinterfragen, wer eigentlich wem dient.

There were failures not just once, but regularly. There was one visit where the waitress brought us food that we hadn't ordered. We were then scolded by the waitress. Yesterday was particularly unpleasant as we watched the way the waiter handled the food. Sometimes he accidentally touched the food and used the platters with other customers' empty plates along with fresh food. In the catering industry, you should understand that you never mix the collected empty plates and the new plates from the kitchen. We paid a total of €62 for 2 people and expected more. We saw the boss and wanted to talk to him. Unfortunately, when we tried to report the poor service, we were unsuccessful. We paid and left the restaurant. What was noticeable was that the same waitress behaved differently when paying than before when she had shouted at me. One should question who actually serves whom.

Very good restaurant. With the all you can eat option you can order 15 rounds of 8 dishes each for the next 1.5 hours. That's enough to fill you up. You order by tray. The food comes quickly. Drinks are extra and a little expensive. The quality of the food was very good. Fresh fish / sushi, fried pasta over chicken wings. Everything was great. The quality has increased even further and we all agreed that this is one of the best restaurants in Karlsruhe. Price performance is right here.

Went to the restaurant at lunchtime, we got a nice seat in the restaurant. Then the ordering principle was explained to us during lunchtime: there were 15 rounds, each guest can order 5 dishes, every 10 minutes. The selection was really large, there was sushi, seaweed salad, fried noodles and rice, squid rings, octopus balls, chicken wings and much more. The orders were served quickly and the empty dishes were cleared away regularly. Unfortunately, the sushi didn't really convince me, but the octopus balls were an absolute dream.

The food is fantastic and there is probably something for everyone.

I'm not usually critical, but this time I am. It was our first time there and we had no idea how ordering worked, but we still went in with an open mind. Despite asking, what we ordered was only explained to us in fragments and in bad German, so that we could hardly understand anything. And to top it off, something was often missing from what was ordered and it took a long time until it finally arrived.

Catastrophe! We wanted to give the Oishii one last chance today. We made reservations for 7:30 p.m. We then stood in a long line in front of the restaurant and had to wait 15 minutes. I ordered a fruit juice spritzer. Unfortunately the carbon dioxide was already completely gone. Then we started ordering the first round on the tablet. Unfortunately, after half an hour there was still no food. We ordered 2 more rounds. Occasionally everything except sushi was served, but not what we had actually ordered. After about an hour a small plate of sushi finally arrived. Again only a fraction of what we ordered but better than nothing. After we ordered 2 more rounds and it was now shortly before 10 p.m. and no more food arrived at our table, we lost our appetite. So we called the waitress and explained to her that we didn't want to pay full price for the reasons mentioned above. She just walked away without another word, came back 5 minutes later and collected the full price. This is absolutely not satisfactory, anything but customer-oriented and, in the end, was an absolute waste of time and money for us for two hours! In general, you have to say that the staff overall make a very hard-working and friendly impression. Unfortunately, they don't get it organized and coordinated when the restaurant is full. I wish we had gone somewhere else to eat straight away. Then we wouldn't have had to drive home hungry and annoyed.

Unfortunately need to change my review. Third time there was not good at all. Some of the orders did not come, we needed to ask quite often for them to resend it. We got literally frozen salmon sashimi, if you could call it sashimi at all. It was a piece of the rest of the salmon, as you can see in the picture. Unfortunately not going there anymore.

Have slacked off badly. The dishes sometimes come straight away, but often with a delay. You hardly have an overview of the order. If you call the waitress and ask them how far the orders are, they sometimes can't understand you. It is very loud and often very crowded. Sometimes you eat at the same table as two strangers.

I've been here today and despite the good and chill atmosphere with a nice music and a kind and professional service, I don't feel to recommend it. The main problem was the taste and smell of the salmon which inspired everything but freshness. Also there's a very lack of technique both in the rice preparation itself but mainly for the sashimi, which was just three raw cutted stripes. Avoid the tataki and the spicy rolls as they're blatantly made with the fish wastes. Well I'd suggest it for warm dishes as they're good and the restaurant itself with the staff it's worth a try
