The staff were very polite. The painting was a mess. The bathroom was so-so, but there was a real rose on our food, they were so cute. And guys, treat yourselves to the tempura big rolls, trust them.

We were satisfied with the quality of the food, the value for money, and the service; however, we found it very unpleasant that the guests waiting for a free table were queuing very close to ours. The staff should ensure that the diners were not disturbed by this.

I was in Karlsruhe today and was starving. I found Mai Garden. I had octopus, which was absolutely delicious. I was surprised to find huge prawns with it. For what you get, I thought the price was really reasonable. The service was very friendly and always smiling. I'll definitely come back for another meal next time I'm in the area.

However, for my personal taste, the noise level was a bit too high, which slightly detracted from the atmosphere. The staff were consistently very nice, attentive, and friendly – ​​absolutely nothing to complain about. The appetizers were all very good and truly delicious. Unfortunately, the main courses followed a bit too quickly after the appetizers – one of us hadn't quite finished their appetizer when the main courses were already being served. The main courses themselves were also somewhat lacking in flavor for my taste. Overall, the food was satisfactory, but for me, MaiGarden isn't among the top three Asian restaurants in Karlsruhe. Nevertheless, it's a solid restaurant with great service and a lovely atmosphere.

We had a wonderful experience at Mai garden last weekend and would like to especially compliment our lady server who served us so professionally and kindly. The restaurant was fully booked upon our arrival and we were left with less than 40 minutes before going to our concert. But this server ensured us that she would make it possible for us and indeed, our food (sushi menu) was served by her personally shortly thereafter. She came punctually to do the bill settlement too and we finished even 10 minutes earlier than anticipated. Apart from the outstanding service level, the quality of the sushi was very high too. The sashimi was so fresh and the plate was beautifully decorated with all different types of sushi. I have not enjoyed such good sushi for a long time. This is the first time we came here but definitely not the last!

Last night I visited Mai Garden with a group of 20 people and experienced something truly exceptional. When we arrived, there was a misunderstanding with our reservation. The lady in charge informed us that the restaurant was fully booked and that our reservation was actually scheduled for two hours later. Unfortunately, coming back two hours later was not an option for us. Instead of simply turning us away, she immediately said she would find a solution. And she absolutely did! Within a very short time, they organized a table for all 20 of us on the closed terrace, installed heaters, provided blankets, and reassured us with a smile that we would be well taken care of. I was honestly astonished — this is a level of service I have rarely experienced in Germany. Despite being such a large group and ordering different courses, everything was served smoothly and professionally. Every single one of us was satisfied. The decoration was beautiful, the food quality was excellent, and the freshness of the ingredients was evident in every dish. A big thank you to the entire team for their flexibility, kindness, and outstanding service. We will definitely be coming back!! Fully recommended !

Absolutely disappointing and unprofessional. We ordered two drinks and two dishes. We were served by a waitress named Laura, who was extremely unfriendly from the start, without a single smile or even the slightest bit of courtesy – we felt like we were just bothering them. After waiting for over an hour, the food finally arrived: a simple lamb dish and a small plate of sushi. For this quantity and quality, the wait time is completely unacceptable. The drinks were completely forgotten. No inquiry, no refills, nothing. When we finally brought this up, they didn't even admit at first that the drinks had been forgotten. Instead, they suddenly blamed the cash register – as if that were an acceptable reason. The best (or worst) part: no apology, no attempt at compromise, no understanding whatsoever. Pure shirking of responsibility and a completely indifferent attitude towards the customer. Service at this level is simply unacceptable. We will definitely not be returning and cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We spontaneously decided to eat at MaiGarden on Friday evening. The restaurant was very busy. We had Atlantic octopus and duck with X.o sauce. Both were delicious. The octopus was tender and flavorful. The service was very friendly. We highly recommend this restaurant!

The food was good, but nothing special. Unfortunately, it was very noisy and the seating was quite close, which made the atmosphere somewhat uncomfortable. The service was adequate, but also without any particular highlights. Overall, it was okay, but there's room for improvement.

We stumbled upon it by chance while traveling through, and it was delicious! We had three dishes: the tuna, the duck in peanut sauce, and the number 60 ;-) We also had some appetizers, gyoza, and spring rolls. Friendly service, everything was served quickly. Generous portions, and everything was so delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Highly recommended!

A very good Vietnamese restaurant with fantastic food. The dumpling mix and the spring rolls are both outstanding. The duck in Saigon and peanut chicken (actually only on the lunch menu) are also very good. Unfortunately, the very friendly service isn't always very attentive, which is probably due to the size of the restaurant. But that's really nitpicking 😜
