The food was generally okay, but I don't understand why they offer delivery if they can't properly execute the service. We ordered two kebabs, and when they still hadn't arrived after more than two hours, we called to cancel the order because I had to go to work. On the phone, they told us, "Then we'll have to throw everything away." As if that were our problem! A proper apology would have been more appropriate. Perhaps they should look into what delivery times are acceptable and possibly discontinue this service. I can't offer my customers something I can't deliver.

Fries were tasty, doner kebab (the cabbage was too sour) but otherwise tasty.

After a long wait, we ordered again, and we were truly shocked. It was delivered after just a three-minute drive, and it was cold. The quality was abysmal. The tomatoes were bad and should have been thrown away. The rest of the produce was also poor in taste and quality. It's not a matter of taste. It was definitely a waste of money.

This place no longer has the same flavor. We've been hanging out here for 20 years. This place is finished. The workers are not smiling. Orders are taken too late. The food arrives late. The dough kneader takes money from the customers, and they roll out the dough without washing their hands. It's expensive, and the portions are small.

It used to taste better and cost less. Since the change of ownership, I haven't liked it here anymore. I won't eat here again.

Today I ordered something for the first time in ages, and I won't be going back. The taste was a complete disaster. Everything was thrown away. Doner meat tasted like it was from three days ago. The grilled dishes, whether chicken, veal, or skewered, were sour, so spoiled. Let's not even mention the lamb chops, as they only served a bone. The rice was inedible. I could have thrown the money in the trash earlier. When I complained on the phone, I was given a cold, no-nonsense response. So, folks, I recommend that you don't order anything from there anymore.

We ordered a lamacun with salad and a portion of fries! Okay, €10 (!!) isn't exactly a bargain, but the 18 fries in the mini bowl were truly outrageous and a disgrace! €3.50 for what felt like 1.5 potatoes! Respect! Well, if they can afford to scare away their customers like that, we won't go there again! Luckily, the competition in DUI is tough ;) That wasn't acceptable today.

I've ordered from this store before. After more than two hours, the delivery didn't arrive, so I quite rightly canceled. Today I wanted to give them another chance. After accepting my order and asking for my address, they recognized me and suddenly claimed, "You insulted us" – and rejected the order. This claim is a blatant lie. Such behavior toward customers is disrespectful, arbitrary, and unprofessional. I cannot recommend this store to anyone.

Hello So first I have to say that I've never given a review and I'm not picky at all But I have to warn the people who want to buy a kebab there. It is by far the worst meat I have ever eaten in a kebab... And generally the hygiene there sucks.. So if you want food poisoning then you've come to the right place!

Ordered several grilled plates yesterday, the meat was already sour and spoiled. The lamb was just bones with fat on it and I've easily had the whole thing like that the last 5 times. I've had food poisoning since yesterday just like my wife and her friend. Don't eat there, people. It's a disgrace to even sell something like that. Filling your pockets with food that has gone bad. No wonder no one eats out at your place anymore Every time I drive past the store is empty! Give this shop a wide berth. This is how you lose regular customers who have been around for decades

I ordered four mixed grill plates to pick up yesterday, and I have to say: the food was perfect! The grill plate was one of the best I've ever had in Duisburg - in my opinion even better than Aladin Ocakbaşı. The Adana Kebab was excellent, perfectly seasoned and not too salty, as can sometimes happen. Yesterday he was absolutely on point. The lamb skewers, chicken skewers and the lamb chop tasted excellent - wonderfully seasoned, tender and juicy. A real taste experience! Particularly worth mentioning was the homemade flatbread, which is very reminiscent of Pakistani naan. It was soft, perfectly baked and the ideal accompaniment to the meat. The side dishes were also good. The separate salad was fresh, and there was Ezme as a dip, which was also well seasoned. The fries were solid – nothing special, but they did the job. Overall a fantastic experience. Everything was perfect and I would definitely order here again. Absolute recommendation!

Disappointing food poisoning experience We have always been very satisfied with this restaurant and have ordered here often. Unfortunately we had a very bad experience this time. On Thursday, while I was decorating the Christmas tree and didn't have time to cook, we ordered food to pick up: a kebab, a dürüm and a children's kebab. Luckily our child didn't eat the children's kebab. My husband and I ate the kebab and dürüm, and that same night we both had severe symptoms of food poisoning. We had persistent vomiting, diarrhea, severe stomach pain and other unpleasant symptoms such as: B. a strange foul taste in the mouth. Today is Sunday and we are still recovering. We don't want to cause any controversy or trouble, but there is no question that this food came from your restaurant.

Today we ordered 2 kebabs, 2 Dürüm kebabs and 2 lahmacun. When ordering, a delivery time of 50 minutes was stated on the phone. After 65 minutes I asked where the food was and was told the driver couldn't find the address. The reason is that the street was noted incorrectly. So the driver had probably already been eating for 10-15 minutes. After another 10 minutes, a total of 75 minutes, the driver appeared. No excuse for the delay, just nothing. Only when I asked if he hadn't found the address did he answer that they had forgotten an H in the street name. I thought ok, it can happen. We took the food and when we unpacked it at the table we noticed that everything was cold and completely soggy due to the sauces. When we unpacked the 2 Dürüm kebabs, everything was stuck to the foil and was torn everywhere. Looked like dog food. Simply disgusting and inedible. 2 Dürüm kebabs ended up in the trash. This service and this inferior quality are an absolute disgrace. This was the last time at Sofra Ocakbasi.

I went there during my break from work to have a soup. It was delicious and after I finished, I was asked if I wanted tea. The tea was great and to my surprise was on the house. Would definitely go back.

Hello, the food is quite good but the staff needs to be replaced!!! Today I ordered a small plate and when I went to the checkout the person told me it was a large plate even though I wanted a small one, so it's not my mistake. I also witnessed where someone ordered Durum and got a doner and that happened to me. They don't simply restrict more traffic. And the same person tried to cheat me of 10 euros a week ago. So the staff needs to be replaced.

Every now and then we get kebab or lahmacun here. It's very tasty. Lahmacun is baked in-house. But last time I was absolutely thrilled. I ordered Tavuk Sis. Everything is included, it was extremely tasty and my special request for half fries/half rice was also fulfilled. When I asked if it was “that Turkish rice,” no one was offended. This time the slightly older gentlemen were there and were very nice. The young gentlemen who were there for a while were a bit "slouchy" and didn't contribute that much to the feel-good atmosphere.
