The culinary highlight for me today was the gozleme with minced meat! So delicious, juicy, and with the garlic sauce. The doner kebab box, doner kebab, and pizza were also very good! Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Always delicious, top-quality, everything fresh and very natural, especially the vegetables and salad. I also really like the quality and flavor of the meat, and the sauce is very tasty. And the price is absolutely reasonable for the quality, which is why it's been my go-to place for kebabs in Freiburg for so many years!

I went there with my wife, and we ordered a kebab plate twice. The food was okay, rather average, nothing special. The staff seemed a bit reserved, almost as if they didn't care whether you were there or not. Maybe they're usually friendlier, but my impression that day was rather distant.

The quality and appearance of the kebabs are very poor, and the staff are also very poor at negotiating, and they are not at all friendly. The opening hours are simply a scam. I would definitely not recommend eating there.

The food is delicious, the kebab is really well-made and the portions are very generous. The only minor drawback is that the sauce is only on top, which makes the kebab a bit dry underneath, but otherwise it's excellent and not a big deal. The service is excellent, very friendly, and the food is prepared quickly and served at the table. The ambiance could be improved; the shop looks very old, the ceiling is very dirty and not at all inviting. Otherwise, it's simply laid-back and okay.

Update 7/17/25: Just under 900g of pure yufka for €8, you can't complain. The "market leader" in Freiburg, and I wasn't disappointed. 4 stars because I've already had one in Ottenheim that far surpasses this. But here for only €7.50, that's a great price.

Given its location in close proximity to the train station, the value for money is impressive at first glance: For the usual doner price, you get a surprisingly large portion – both for the classic doner and the yufka. The portion size is definitely a plus. However, a closer look reveals that quantity doesn't always replace quality. The yufka, for example, differs significantly in taste from the classic flavor – the seasoning, the meat, and the consistency of the flatbread are more reminiscent of a personal interpretation than an authentic product. Those hoping for classic flavors might be disappointed. Nevertheless, for hungry guests short on time, it's a solid option.

Tasty and large portions, I missed the garlic sauce. The downside is lack of cleanliness. Unfortunately, all kebab shops are very dirty. As a visitor, I advise you to hire a cleaning staff or at least a woman.

I'm rewriting our comment because my friend deleted the previous one because she was threatened with legal action. Maybe this way they scare a lot of people away and this place still has good reviews... We didn't like the meat at all, it didn't taste like meat, but rather like a meat preparation. The vegetables were totally squashed and the bread was hard. Definitely not recommended.

The space could definitely use new flooring and a fresh coat of paint, but: I've been coming here regularly for several years and have eaten the different yufkas so many times and they're always so delicious!! Fresh ingredients, great service, quick preparation, so only a short waiting time - even during busy times - and super friendly staff! I'm already looking forward to the next time :D!!!

Simply good. I spontaneously felt a craving for kebabs at the main train station and the snack bar there has bad reviews. So I went to Sofra (thanks Google maps!). This was the best kebab in ages. Finally one where everything fit. Crispy bread, crispy fresh vegetables and salad, very well seasoned chicken and delicious, fresh sauce. I really missed a kebab like that. Clear recommendation!!!

Unfortunately the kebab was very bad. Due to the high number of customers, the quality probably cannot be maintained. The food is literally thrown into the kebab. Bread not crispy but soft like toast. It's been a long time since I've eaten such a bad kebab. What a shame and that for 7.50!

I've been there several times in the past and always ordered the chicken nugget box and it was always super tasty. The last visit, however, was a slight disappointment: I ordered a kebab box for €7: the fries in it were well seasoned, but the meat was too thick, partly inedible with too many hard pieces and far too tough or leathery. Staff otherwise (sometimes) friendly.

The service is very good. But unfortunately the meat is very bad. The meat is stored in a metal container. This means that the meat is not freshly cut for the customer when ordering. Therefore, when eaten, the meat is very dry and loses its taste. When you eat it you feel like you are eating frozen meat. Because it is cut very thickly and is dry because it sits in the metal container for several minutes. I've eaten there a lot and I have to be honest that it just doesn't taste good. I know times from 2016. You had top meat quality and a good amount of meat but now in 2024 we are saving 👎🏻. And the quality and quantity of meat has decreased since inflation, like almost every restaurant/snack bar. If I pay almost 8 euros, then I also expect that it will be freshly cut and not get dry meat. Unfortunately I won't eat there again, even though the service is very good.

Please don't let the good reviews fool you! It really is by far the worst kebab I've ever eaten. First you ask whether everything can be done on it. I say no onion, but I'll add some later anyway. But now comes the kicker: the kebab is being prepared somewhere in the back. The meat is not cut fresh, but rather taken from a container. You can hardly see how the kebab is prepared, only from far away. I didn't have any sauces except tzatziki, even though I wanted everything on it except onion. Normally people ask you something like that. This is so unappetizingly prepared. I have never experienced anything like this anywhere else in Germany. Unfortunately, the taste was just as disappointing. It tasted totally like mint and was totally mashed together. But what could you expect from such a careless preparation?

After seeing the good reviews online, I was very excited to see what the kebab could do. Unfortunately, it fell a little short of my expectations. The skewer is mainly made of minced meat and has an almost dark red color. I think the seasoning could be improved as the taste was quite weak. At first I was happy that there was red cabbage, but neither that nor the white cabbage had been pickled beforehand, which unfortunately made it taste very dry. There is a plus point for the homemade bread and the very friendly staff :)

I think the bearded staff was working at gunpoint. When we went to eat, he raised his voice to come and get our food, he looked at us as if we were his enemies, they took us down from the mountains and brought us to the heart of Europe to work.

The meat is not freshly cut but taken out of a metal box. So there is no sauce and no flavor on the meat. Also, I asked for sauce and got it without sauce. I don't recommend this place unless there is no other place open and you are very hungry.

The restaurant doesn't even deserve one star. After we ordered, I sat outside with two friends. Due to very loud young people (who also harassed us and the employees looked away) we didn't hear that our order was ready for pickup. Standard kebab like everywhere in southern Germany. Unfortunately my order "without onions" was not heard. When I mentioned this the seller just said that there weren't many in there and he could take them out. Nevertheless, while I was eating I spent a long time picking several onions out of the kebab. I wasn't offered the different sauce selection either, but was simply served the standard sauce without asking. Unfortunately, the warmed flatbread was also very tough. All in all okay, not particularly good, but not bad either.

The Kafka Kebap with beef was delicious!! Homemade tortilla style wrap was fantastic with the The bell pepper slaw with tomatoes, the spicy sauce… really a different kind of Kebap that I’m already craving again. Super nice staff and spoke English You gotta try this place!!

I think I was the first customer that day I ate there. I was standing outside wondering what to eat when the little bearded man invited me to come in and eat. He doesn't really speak English. When I got inside and started eating my kebab, the big bearded man offered me water. This was so unexpected and I was very happy about it because I hadn't drunk any water until then. After a few minutes the little bearded man offered me hot tea and it was really tasty. The people here are very nice and friendly, and the food is also delicious ☺️. It was actually my first time in Freiburg, and luckily I ate at this restaurant and met these friendly and welcoming people.

Normally it was not planned to eat here - as part of a business trip - but this happened due to various circumstances, such as time constraints and it being relatively complicated to get to the pedestrian zone in FR. According to the reviews, there are better kebab shops deeper in the city, especially since I usually avoid locations without sliced ​​meat. Regardless of this and because I was very hungry, I ended up here, so after eating I was surprised that this location was rated 4.6 on Google. Either the people who consume the food there are satisfied with the catastrophic quality and portion sizes or have gotten used to these two factors, or there is radical review management to have inappropriate posts removed on Google. Since I can't judge all of this, hence my rating. At least Lahmacun with minced veal was absolute horror. You pay the full price, but you don't get the full quality and performance. The diameter of the lahmacun is much too small, and the meat is also saved. As a customer, you also become smarter over time by no longer ordering a kebab plate or kebab in a flatbread (both of which are now far too expensive for what you get in almost all kebab shops), but rather Lahmacun Special, so that at least you are full - even if you may not be satisfied with the quality. This kebab shop also tops customers with this way of thinking by making the diameter of the lahmacun smaller and putting in less kebab meat. The aroma of the kebab meat is zero, i.e. it is tasteless. All other ingredients such as sauce etc. have much more taste. As if all that wasn't enough, storage management is carried out from the cut kebab. Doner kebab is cut from the skewer in advance and placed in a closed aluminum box... why?!? The customer pays the full price and also wants a fresh kebab straight from the skewer and not what is in this box. As someone with a "normal" stomach who is satisfied with a standard portion, I certainly don't spend money on extra meat and look for the problem with the location.

Doner kebab has an unusual seasoning. Soup is reheated in the microwave and is cold. Not even proper dishes are used. The notice is simply ignored. Tables dirty. Overall atmosphere really strange. When I think about the store it just makes me sick.

One of the waiters came out of a room when we arrived and pulled up the top of his pants. We deduced where the toilets were located. We ordered quickly. I went to the toilets (I'm not talking about the general condition) to wash my hands, and there was no soap. I think of that same server again. The meal was served very quickly. I only ate half of my pide, tasteless cheese and not very well cooked dough. I didn't touch my salad which was not fresh and which was bathed in a beige-yellow sauce. Very clumsy and amateur service. I really do not recommend this restaurant and also the one located in the street opposite (Divan).

I absolutely cannot understand the good rating. The meat is very bad, you bite on leftover cartilage and something else hard, and it is tasteless. The sauce could also be replaced with milk, just as tasteless. The bread was the best part, I think homemade. Salad was quite low standard. I like the ordering counter best and also the seating. The table next to the vegetables was wiped with a rag and this rag was also poured over the vegetables. That's not possible friends. Sorry for the bad review but it's the truth.

We used to eat here more often, it always tasted good, but the quality has deteriorated incredibly over the last few weeks. Even though the kebab was expressly only ordered with kebab meat and green salad, there were pieces of pepper and cucumber in it. The “meat” was inedible, cut far too thick and, worst of all, there were some hard pieces in it. It's a shame that everything ended up in the trash. If we had eaten there, we would definitely have sent everything back.

If you need something quick, you've come to the right place. However, it's better not to look into the kitchen in the evening. Seldom seen a kebab shop where the ingredients were spread out like they were on a battlefield. The taste was okay, even if the yufka was a little burnt. But from a hygienic point of view, I'm not sure whether it's halal in the kitchen.

It's been a long time since I treated myself to a jufka and a kebab box. It was fresh and delicious. You can choose from chicken and veal. There are several different sauces, salad. The price is okay at €14.50. I will definitely come back if I ever feel hungry for a kebab or jufka.

Worst kebab I've ever had! Bread hard as stone. Dust dry as if it was 2-3 weeks old. Wasn't asked what I wanted in the kebab. Doner meat had a certain curry taste. 🤮Poultry instead of beef. Super tasty, fresh and juicy food! The kebab box was delicious and the meat was very tender. You can choose between mixed meat or chicken, which I personally love. Luckily, they don't skimp on the sauce either, so you have a taste experience with every bite. The team is friendly and cheerful. There are plenty of seats, but since it is often very warm in the restaurant, we like to eat outside.

Pour ma première venue dans ce snack kebap, très satisfait tant sur la qualité des sandwichs que sur le service. Ne parlant pas allemand, les serveurs ont fait l'effort de parler un peu anglais pour effectuer ma commande. Les toilettes sont propres, bien entretenu. En plus, ils ont une carte fidélité qu'ils ont tamponner. J'y retournerai sûrement à l'occasion. Je recommande fortement.

Das Essen an sich ist lecker und gut zubereitet, aber es stört mich extrem, wenn man die Gäste abkassiert, und ohne die Hände zu waschen, gleich wieder den Döner zubereitet. Das ist sehr unappetitlich und unhygienisch. Es würde mich freuen, wenn beim nächsten Mal der Kassierer den Döner bitte mit Handschuhen an fertigt oder jemand anderen anfertigen lässt, aber nicht mit den Händen, was er vorher schmutziges Geld angefasst hat. Eher unterdurchschnittlicher Döner 🥙. Das Fleisch wurde nicht mal frisch angeschnitten und kam aus einem warmhaltebehälter. Dazu kam, dass ich eine Fliege 🪰 im Salat hatte. Eher nicht zu empfehlen.

nettes Personal, guter Döner und das Brot wird auch selber gemacht nur schade das ein Spielautomat drin ist.
