I ate at Smashbirgers today. The burgers are amazing and the pots are delicious too; the service and atmosphere are great. The place is very well-maintained, but there's one big problem: they don't have beer on the menu. That's why I can only give it 4 stars.

Very friendly staff and tasty food

We went there twice, once out of curiosity because the restaurant was included in the Schlemmerblock (a discount booklet), and the second time because it was so good the first time. :-) Smash Burger is located a bit off the beaten path to the side of the main cemetery, in a corner with little foot traffic, but it was worth the trip. There's parking diagonally opposite. We were greeted warmly and got a table without a reservation. The atmosphere is a bit like McDonald's, but less austere; chill music plays on two large screens. The very solid ;-) menu offers a selection of different burgers (including closed ones called "UFO"), fries and fries platters (as a main course), sides (various kinds of finger food), and soft drinks. The food arrived quite quickly. You're served at your table and pay later at the register. The fries were nice and crispy and well-seasoned, the burgers (I had the Cheese Smash) were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with a great roasted flavor. ... I like that ketchup and mayo are on the table, so you can take as much as you want; I often find the individual portions too small. On my second visit, I had the veggie burger, which was also very tasty. The three of us also had mozzarella sticks and chicken wings, which were also very good. We left the restaurant full and happy. We will definitely come back.

Smash Burger at the Mannheim cemetery offers juicy, well-seasoned smash patties, delicious sauces, and creative burger variations at fair prices. The quality and taste are excellent, although delivery can occasionally be inconsistent. Overall, highly recommended for burger lovers.

On November 14, 2025, at 6:14 p.m., I had a very unpleasant experience at this burger restaurant. After using a common expression, the waiter directly asked me if I was Muslim and why I was using that term. He then even added that he would "say something if I were Christian." Such personal questions and comments about religion have no place in a customer interaction. It was rude, inappropriate, and unnecessarily embarrassed me in a simple, everyday situation. I find this kind of behavior completely unacceptable. Regardless of religion or origin, one expects respectful, professional service. Unfortunately, that was not the case here.

Still the best burger in town in my opinion 🤤🤤🤤 Absolutely recommended!!! A minor criticism: Out of 7 visits (once a week), 6 times there was no homemade lemonade, etc. Only canned soft drinks. There's room for improvement there; if something's on the menu, it should actually be available 😅 PS: When will they be serving burgers with eggs? 😁

The decor was a bit cold and minimalist, modern. I didn't find it particularly cozy. But the burger was really good.

We used the Schlemmerblock voucher at a restaurant today and were extremely disappointed! We were told, quite seriously, that the voucher wasn't accepted because it was All Souls' Day, which they claimed was a public holiday. It's a shame All Souls' Day isn't even a public holiday!!? ;) Furthermore, nowhere in the Schlemmerblock terms and conditions does it state that the voucher isn't valid on such a day, as excluded holidays are explicitly listed there! The waiter even told us that they had the same problem yesterday on All Saints' Day. Even that isn't an exclusion date according to the Schlemmerblock rules?!? So either they don't know their own terms and conditions or they're deliberately trying to deprive customers of their discount. Both are simply unprofessional and a joke, because then people shouldn't even bother joining the Schlemmerblock in the first place… The waiter was polite, but completely passive. He made no attempt to ask the manager or find a solution. Despite repeated requests, we were simply told that the manager couldn't be contacted, even though that was clearly our wish as customers. Is this how you just leave guests who follow all the rules standing there? It's truly unfriendly and disappointing. It's a shame, because the food was really good. But good food alone isn't enough when guests are treated so disrespectfully! We certainly won't be back.

I don't know what was going on in the kitchen on Friday night, but we waited 50 minutes for a burnt burger. How do you have the heart to serve burnt patties and burnt bread? Two hours later, I had an upset stomach and a tickly cough. Thanks for nothing. This was our fourth time there. It got worse each time...

Totally dissatisfied We waited over two hours for our order. At some point, we called the store, or at least we thought so, but a man who was a bookstore clerk answered the phone and lied to us, saying our order would arrive in the next five minutes. An hour later, the food still hadn't arrived. So embarrassing.

Great smash burger, crispy edges and nicely toasted bun. If you’re in the neighborhood and like burgers it’s a good place. Wouldn’t travel extra for it. Service was quick, food came out fast!

We were there for the first time. The concept and interior reminded me a bit of a cross between fast food, self-service, and a restaurant. The decor is very dark. Ketchup, mayo, and disposable gloves are available on the table – cool idea with the gloves. The staff is extremely friendly. Wait time: From ordering to receiving our food, we waited a good 25-30 minutes. Most people had already received their food. I found the wait far too long for a burger and fries. Food: We ordered one Cheese Smash, one Champ n Cheese, and one Crispy Chicken Pot. The burgers were visually well presented. We weren't impressed with the taste. Unfortunately, both were a bit bland without any seasoning. Neither of us could really taste the burger sauce. The braised mushrooms on one of the burgers also tasted unseasoned – salt and pepper would definitely have intensified the flavor. Personally, I find it extremely disappointing when the burger buns get soggy so quickly and automatically flatten to a thickness of 4 mm. They weren't crispy and simply didn't hold their shape. If we'd only eaten one burger each, we wouldn't have been satisfied. The fries platter was a complete surprise: crispy and delicious. With the sweet mustard and the burger sauce dripping over the fries, the taste was truly outstanding. The crispy chicken was cut into tiny pieces (almost too small) and also distributed evenly over the fries. Our conclusion: The burgers have potential for improvement, and then the price/performance ratio would be good.

The wait time is unreasonable, so you shouldn't overcrowd your place if you can't keep up... The food is very good, so if you want to eat in the evening, go there at lunchtime!

Fantastic burgers. Almost as good as my own great place I must place to visit for anyone who would appreciate a fantastic burger.

I had no complaints there, the food tasted good although the fries weren't to my personal taste. Sometimes I think there were too many herbs on the fries and burgers, but that's what most people like best. I do unfortunately have something to say about the service. I once ordered delivery and the delivery person arrived over an hour later with no bag, damaged packaging, and cold food. We called and were very politely offered to redeliver the food. The staff on the phone were very polite, but the problem lay more with the delivery person (it was their own delivery person). The second order came after 2 hours and we didn't even wait for it. It arrived warm, which was great, but next time I would rather pick it up instead of waiting from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. for orders.

Ordered at 6:43 PM, food arrived at 9:30 PM. The food arrived cold and tasted absolutely nothing. The fries were cold, dry, and tasteless. The burgers were inedible when cold.

The burgers are top-notch, service is top-notch, a complete 10/10. If you don't come, it's your own fault!

I picked up something to eat there with my gourmet block: two burger menus with a drink and fries. The taste was absolutely fantastic, and the fries were also great. I can't really comment on the ambiance, but it was spacious and relatively noisy with only 2-3 occupied tables.

I went to Smash Burger for the second time today (on a friend's recommendation), and it was delicious again. It's definitely my favorite burger in the area. The bread, in particular, stands out for me. The owner is very friendly, and there's no long wait for the food. Highly recommended!

Very disappointing! We ordered food for 4:30 p.m., but we didn't get it until 5:15 p.m. – and it was cold, too. The restaurant said on the phone that the driver had been on the road for a while. However, the driver himself said he had only started driving for 5-10 minutes and didn't even know where he was going. I had to give him directions because he couldn't find us. Afterward, he even hinted that he was taking a break while our food was in the car – that's unacceptable! There was also a portion of fries missing, which were delivered later. The food would have tasted good in itself, but cold, it was simply inedible. Absolutely unacceptable for us. A real shame.

An absolute disaster! We ordered our burgers from Smashburger and specified a delivery time of 6:00 PM. At 6:05 PM, I called, and the colleague on the phone said the driver had already left. Ten minutes later, I called again – this time, a young lady said the driver was "on his way." Another 15 minutes later (a full 30 minutes after the agreed time), I called again. Suddenly, she said she was sorry, she had "packed a few extras." This completely contradicts the statement that the driver had already left at 6:05 PM. We finally got the burgers at 6:40 PM. The bag was ruined by the sauce, and we received four free cans of Coke as compensation, but they put them directly on the burgers. Thank you, it was very kind, but we had ice-cold cans on the burgers, which were even colder. It was sad, because we were looking forward to the burgers, which actually tasted great. Ours were cold, and the bread was burnt. Conclusion: Lies on the phone, no clear communication, and absolute unreliability! The entire organization was simply unacceptable. If you want to be delivered on time and honestly, you should definitely not order from here.

It was our first time there and definitely won't be our last. Very good burgers at a fair price. Very friendly and attentive service. Highly recommended.

I was almost completely full after the first meal – but it was so incredibly delicious that I immediately ordered another one. Went here with a gourmet meal plan and had to wait too long (40 minutes). Friendly service and tasty burgers, but unfortunately quite small. Fries were a bit too salty. The fact that the food is served on a tray gives off a rather youthful vibe.

First of all, it's not a bad meal. But for €17.00 for a UFO Burger plus €4.99 for fries and cans of Coke, it's really not good value for money. The taste was okay. Although I wasn't even sure if it was really 180g of meat. It was like a smashed chili cheeseburger from Burger King. The staff was okay, too. Everything was just okay, the worst thing was the size of the food for the price.

We ordered from Lieferando and found the burgers and fries incredibly delicious. The fries weren't hot anymore, but they were crispy, so they were still delicious. The burger sauce is spicy and perfectly balanced. We weren't afraid to order burgers at first because we doubted they would stay hot during delivery. They were actually lukewarm, but these burgers tasted incredibly delicious even lukewarm; it didn't bother us at all! We'll be ordering again.

The food itself was quite good, but it was cold and arrived very late. They served us (two people) after people who arrived much later and were part of much larger groups. The first service came as we had just sat down and then it took about 10-15 minutes for them to return. Overall, the service was poor, and the food wasn't great either.

I don't know. They seem to have a concept, but I couldn't seem to find it. The burgers were okay, no less, but no more either. Rather a bit bland and uninspiring.

UFO burger highlight with a chili kick! The two of us visited this burger restaurant for the first time – and we both opted for the UFO burger. And what can I say: it was absolutely spot on! Delicious, juicy, creatively topped, and perfectly balanced. You can immediately tell that they work with love and quality. As a side dish, we had the chili cheese fries, which not only had a nice kick but also scored highly with a generous portion of cheese and jalapeños. For us, it was just the right mix of spice and enjoyment. The ambiance was pleasant, the service friendly and fast. We'll definitely be back – this certainly won't be our last visit to UFO!

Ordered a UFO burger for €17. What arrived was a small, flat thing, about the size of a €2.29 McDonald's hamburger – that's brazen and outrageous! The price-performance ratio is definitely not good!

Outstanding burgers. A 5/5 for taste, and the house sauce is amazing. The chicken pot as a side dish is also highly recommended. The only downside is the chairs; they could be a bit sturdier.

The burgers were great. Fries could have used a bit less salt. What surprised me was this kind of food being served without cutlery or napkins. I'll happily eat a burger with my hands, but things are gonna get messy and a napkin or two help greatly with that. Still, excellent burgers.

Handmade burgers that not only look good but also taste great! I was there with my friend and had a fantastic meal. The mozzarella sticks, burger, and fries were amazing; the insider tip is definitely the truffle mayo.

I can highly recommend the UFO Burger. The toppings are normal burgers, but they are closed on the side by the burger bun so that nothing falls out at the back and you don't have sauce all over your hands 😋

Burgers and fries delicious. Takes a bit long. Ambience next to it, table wobbles, cold dining room. Next time take away. A woman's hand is desperately missing here. Menus are old and worn out, new ones certainly don't cost a fortune. Hardly readable for me. The red lanterns on the window sills are a disaster, reminiscent of the grave lights from the nearby cemetery! So guys, a little renovation won't hurt! And get some advice on decoration.

Unfortunately we had to wait over half an hour to get completely cold fries. The burger was still halfway warm. There are also burnt chicken tenders, which unfortunately only contain marinade and no chicken... We have always enjoyed eating there but this time we were disappointed and for €38.00! Hope it helps to improve.

5 of us ate there (4 burgers and 1 chicken pot). The taste of the food was okay but it wasn't anything special either. The negative thing was that the chicken pot only came to the table after we had almost finished with the burgers. There were also no juices. The comment was: it's always like this on the weekend (if you know that, you have to shop differently). The furniture inside isn't the newest either (it's much nicer outside) and some of the chairs still had crumbs left over from their predecessors. You have to pay at the front of the counter, as it is apparently not possible otherwise. Conclusion: I can't understand the great reviews or the price-performance ratio because the burgers aren't anything special.

So let’s make one thing clear! I regret not eating here sooner! All aspects of the service ring quantity, food, service and burger with fries are simply great! 7 out of 5 stars! Great value for money! Even individual items can be easily ordered here. Food arrived super quickly. Lots of parking options! Lots of seating outside and inside! Again and again! Best burgers in Mannheim!

NOT HALAL!! I've eaten burgers there a few times and it was really tasty. However, I heard from a very close source that the meat is not slaughtered halal. It is confirmed and said that it is Helal, but it is not at all. If that's true, it's the last one. A lot of Muslims come to you on Ramadan or in general just to be lied to by you. I won't go there again and I'll advise everyone in the area against it. Answer: I'm just sharing what I've heard from your own employees. You should read properly. I said “it should be true” and not that it is. Also, I don't know exactly what kind of certificate you are talking about. There is no mention of Halal in your answer?

Wow, wow, woooow. Were here at lunchtime today, the restaurant is nicely and modernly furnished. Service is quick & polite. Food was great, best smash burger we've had so far. It's definitely worth a visit, we can only recommend it! :)

There was a mouse running around under the tables and the staff didn't really care, even after it was pointed out. The taste of the food was okay, although we had to wait quite a long time.

First of all, the burger is delicious. Certainly commendable as a takeaway. Unfortunately, the restaurant smells of stale smoke. The table was shaking. The drinks were only moderately cold. Almost warm. The fries were heavily seasoned with herb salt. Even though the place was almost empty, my burger was prepared with onions, contrary to my order. You really have room for improvement. But like I said, the burger was good!

Burgers are super delicious! If that weren't the case, I wouldn't order again. So why only 3 stars? The stated delivery time is always 60-85 minutes in the evening. After ordering, 90 minutes are displayed and after 90 minutes, you usually wait another 30-60 minutes. I always order around 6-7 p.m. When the food comes, it's a 50/50 chance whether it's still warm or already cold. As I said, the burgers are incredibly tasty, which is why I keep ordering despite the annoying waiting time.

The burger was just great! Despite the smash patty, it's still quite juicy. Delicious meat taste and good cheese. The fries were very crispy and delicious. The sauces (I think they are homemade) are also very good and go well with both the fries and the finger foods. We can only recommend this. I would love to come back.
