Came here on a whim during a visit to Berlin. This restaurant truly embodies the German/Austrian idea of "Gastfreundlichkeit"! Nikolai, our server, was extremely friendly and accomodating and the food was delectable. The schnitzel with the lingonberry sauce was my favorite part, and the Kaiserschmarrn was also very tasty. Can't recommend this place enough for a visit.

We are very very excited! Had the Bresse chicken and schnitzel from whole milk veal and it was incredibly delicious! The service was super friendly and committed! Short waiting time! Definitely coming back!!

We were there on October 23rd, 2024. If I hadn't searched online for a restaurant for Wiener Schnitzel, I would have missed this rather inconspicuous restaurant. And really missed something! We were there spontaneously and despite a large number of “Reserved” signs, the owner was still able to accommodate us. Small negative point: in the very small room where we sat there is no cell phone reception, which ruins the great idea of ​​the digital menu. The waiter immediately offered us an iPad with a digital menu. My cell phone also consistently refused to connect to the restaurant's open WiFi. In general, the staff was very friendly, attentive, but never intrusive. As a little something first, the house provided some bread with horseradish cream, which tasted absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately the waiter wasn't quite sure what exactly was in there, but we did taste some citrus. Even my son, who doesn't like horseradish, spurned the ketchup on his croquette side dish and preferred to dip it in this cream. We both had a veal Wiener Schnitzel, which, in my opinion, was close to perfection. Only my son's schnitzel was a bit too thick at one end. (But that is criticism at the highest level and only exists because I have absolutely nothing else to say found criticism) Meat perfectly cooked, breading perfect. Just the right amount of lemon for the size. My potato and cucumber salad was very tasty and the quantity was just right as a side dish. Yes, you have to be aware that the price of the restaurant is on the higher end, but, in my opinion, that is absolutely justified. The price compared to the quality is consistent. A great visit to the restaurant and a must visit on our next visit to Berlin!

Super tasty, everything is always great

Goulash is the must try! One of the waiter served us might have a bad day, a little bit pushy for asking us to place the order.

Warm and welcoming environment. I hadn't had goulash in 25 years and their goulash dish evoked childhood memories. The Wiener schnitzel was also very good. High value for money, the food is worth the price.

Wo fange ich nur an...Zuerst wurden wir freundlich zum Tisch geführt und ich habe ein high-five vom Koch bekommen. Nach kurzem Warten kam frisches warmes Brot mit Meerrettich-Sauce an den Tisch Das Schnitzel kam fast genau so schnell. Es war fast zu viel aber wir haben es geschafft. Zum Dessert gab es Kaiserschmarrn, was genau so zu empfehlen ist wie die anderen Sachen. Wir waren überwältigt von der Qualität und von der Freundlichkeit. Von aussen schön klein und gemütlich, von innen recht gross doch die Atmosphäre stimmt genau richtig. Bestes Schnitzel und bester Service seit langem...Sehr zu empfehlen👍👍👍

Sissi Berlin is one of those restaurants that makes you feel at home, it is super cozy, comfortable and special! I recommend booking! The food is spectacular and I promise you that you will not leave the restaurant hungry hehehe! Everything is delicious! I would like to highlight the treatment that the entire team had with us! Was there recently for the first time and thought it was excellent.

An enchanted, very special little restaurant, inconspicuous from the outside, but inside it turns out to be winding and stylish. The food is wonderful, delicious, rich, authentically Austrian. We really enjoyed everything.

Best schnitzel (outside Vienna) we have eaten in a long time. The starter and dessert were also very good and the service was very attentive and friendly. The tables outside were very narrow and small, but that's not possible at this point

Kaiserschmarrn was not worthy of its name. Tasted like scrambled eggs. The apple strudel seemed as if it had thawed.

Very good service that is aware of food allergies and advised someone with gluten allergy not to eat there because they couldn’t guarantee cross-contamination. The rest of us had a great dinner here with very friendly staff!

The Schnitzel is actually quite good!

Sissi serves Austrian food that tastes authentic, but somehow you miss the Viennese charm here Sissi comes across more like a better stand-up snack bar, although the prices would suggest otherwise. The restaurant leaves a very mixed impression. Even though the staff is very friendly and helpful, unfortunately there will be no further liaison with me and Sissi.

Delicious Austrian food with very friendly service!

Really really tasty! Exactly what you imagine in the kitchen. Waiters are super attentive. Outside tables are kept relatively simple and functional.

We had a delicious meal here! First of all there was the Flädle soup, which for my taste could have been a little more generous for around 8 euros but was still very tasty. The Wiener Schnitzel with lukewarm potato salad is of particularly good quality and the Kaiserschmarrn was quickly destroyed! In contrast to the soup, this portion was enough for two people. We would love to come back…

The food was delicious and filling. The juice goulash was very tender and almost a bit too spicy. The bread dumplings are handmade. The Wiener Schnitzel should be of very good quality, the breading should be crispy and light. The table was too small for 6 people. I think a printed map would be good. Not everyone wants to scan a QR code. The ice cream with pumpkin seed oil was very tasty. Overall, I would recommend a visit.

We discovered this restaurant by chance while walking around the area. Small, but of good quality. Also to mention the service, very attentive and pleasant. We were so hungry that we didn't take pictures.

When we are in Berlin, Sissi is a must, fantastic schnitzel, great ambience and nice and courteous waiters, but be careful: the Kaiserschmarn is enough for two! :-)

Excellent tasting dishes and desserts, everything you know from Austrian cuisine but can be eaten in the heart of Berlin. Only a bit inconvenient because we were sitting in the pedestrian area and it was relatively loud right near the intersection, otherwise the service was very nice and always tried to provide us with the best possible care outside.

This restaurant is perfect for a good meal after a long day in Berlin. As it was a sweltering hot night we sat outside. The chairs had blankets if it got cold however I would recommend a cushion as the chairs were a bit uncomfortable. The waiter brought bread which was nice but the star was the sauce with it. We forgot to ask what it was... a mushroomy... peppery mix... whatever it was it was to die for. The food and drinks options are good and there is something for every tastes. I went with the veal schnitzel and it was delicious and the chips with were perfectly cooked. The waiter was very nice and recommended sauces to go with our options. The portion sizes were very generous.

I ventured into the café after asking a local where there might be a traditional German restaurant nearby. It was getting chilly and as I opened the door, I was greeted by this beautiful old fireplace and a café that had a lot of personality lol they did serve some traditional, Austrian and German dishes I ordered the chicken schnitzel I believe and was very satisfied with the entire experience and the food.

Had the most delicious goulash ever, and one of the tastiest meals in Berlin.. our waiter was brilliant, and everything about Sissi was so good... if you're in Berlin go there, you won't be sorry!

A nice boy who served us, but a bit forgetful (an ordered side dish did not arrive on the table, but it did appear on the bill). A bit commercial and pushy to want to sell even more drinks if the first glass was not yet finished. The schnitzel was just okay, but I have eaten better ones in Berlin and elsewhere at half the price. The restaurant relies on the Sisi name to attract a gay crowd, and the waiter did not disappoint. The price-quality ratio is: too expensive.

Small Austrian restaurant with lots of tables on the sidewalk. Really excellent cuisine that makes you happy. We had the spinach dumplings with cheese sauce and a lamb's lettuce with small chicken schnitzels and cranberries. Fast service, friendly and energetic. Any time.

Fantastic place with super delicious food and great service.

I expected a bit more :) The seating is cramped and uncomfortable, the table is very small. Food was actually quite good but nothing special in my opinion. Wiener Schnitzel was super thin and some of the breading came off. Kaiserschmarren is very tasty and a large portion but not wow either. Service was normally nice. I just think the prices are way too high for the quality on offer.

It was tasty but I have to say, the prices are really cheeky. I had a cheese spaetzle that didn't fill me up, a drink and a side salad and lost almost €40. The spaetzle cost just under €22 and the side salad, which only consisted of leaves, cost €6.50. Overall I'm unfortunately disappointed.

Ohne Reservierung gabs direkt einen Tisch draussen, wir wurden nett plaziert und bedient. Vorspeise, Hauptspeise, dazu einen Wein - das hat alles gut geklappt. Vorspeise war sehr gut. Das Schnitzel war etwas zu "unknusprig", vlt. das Schmalz nicht gut abgetropft? die Unterseite war etwas matschig. Der Kartoffelsalat etwas zu sauer, das geht auf jeden Fall besser und nicht nur in Wien. Aber alles Geschmacksache. Die Knödel waren gut, der Wein sehr gut. Wenns nochmal dazu kommt, geben wir dem Laden gern nochmal eine Chance ;) Die Bedienung war sehr nett und flott. Kompliment!

Had a fantastic meal here today. The schnitzels are gigantic and tasty, the dumplings with chanterelle mushroom sauce to die for, and the service was flirty and fun. So nice to be able to dine outside in a quiet street. Second time here on a visit to Berlin and will be back again.

Decent food with decent service, but overpriced.

Cool food and cool ambiance. Both in cold winter inside or in terrace outside during summer. My prefered dishes are Chanterelles in creamy sauce bread dumplings AND Pasta with veal ragout and forest mushrooms. Waiters are all very kind and my preferece is Alex ;)

Sissi is UTTERLY delightful. The small menu prepared in a tiny kitchen is of the highest quality and served with flair. I visit every time I'm in Berlin. Come early (500-530pm) or late (900-930pm) of you don't have a reservation. The Wiener Schnitzel is the finest I've ever had. And that's saying something. The Kaiserschmarrn for dessert are a highlight. And the wines are lovely. Highly recommended.

The Wiener Schnitzel for almost 30 euros is intense. So it's not the schnitzel, but the price! Unfortunately, we sat very uncomfortable on a bar stool in front of the refrigerator vent. Unfortunately, that doesn't invite you to linger. Kaiserschmarn was okay but didn't blow me away.

Das Essen schmeckte gut (vor allem der warme Kartoffelsalat mit Gurke), aber die Präsentation ist ohne jeglichen Charme: einfach ein Teller mit Essen drauf. Keine Garnitur oder sonstige Beilage. Aber die Bedienung war schlichtweg unangenehm: ein hochnäsiger junger Mann, der mit abgewandter Blick unseren Wein auf den Tisch stellte, uns zweimal in englischer Sprache etwas fragte, obwohl ich zweimal in deutscher Sprache antwortete (ich habe jahrelang in Berlin gelebt), und ansonsten vor allem mit seiner äußeren Erscheinung beschäftigt war. 👎

The prices are high and the food average. Pasta bolognese rather ordinary is called pasta with veal and mushrooms - around 25 euro. The kaiserschmarn was probably heated in the microwave and tasted like rubber . Definetely not recommended

The service was so welcoming and always there for me if I needed something, really impressive. The food is authentic and simple, but exactly what is needed to feel spoiled and so good. Such a lovely restaurant, worths a visit nonetheless.

I arrived on Saturday I went there for a drink with someone I meet out and we had a drink and had a great experience so I thou I go back again for dinner I was very impressed with the food and the service from the waiters who worked there

Friendly service, good food, large portions

Delicious food, but incredibly rude waiter. Left our table before we were finished ordering, slammed items on the table, and tried to con my partner into tipping (we know this is not the custom in Germany).

However, a very tasty Wiener Schnitzel with boiled potatoes as an option would be great. Unfortunately the service wasn't good, we waited a long time for drinks and food.

Highly expenssive, and not justified. One asparagus dish, which includes only asparagus and hollandaise sauce costs 25 euros! The viel vienese schnitzel, with no supplements, costs 25 euros. Any side dishe (potato salad with cucumbers) costs extra. We ordered salad with fried chicken - it was bad: way too much sauce, the chicken was tasteless and the oil in which it was fried felt old. Some of the tables are located in a tiny room. The waiters are unfriendly.

We booked a table for two people. We were seated upstairs, which we did last time we visited Sissi. This time the room had a lot of guests, and the temperature in the room was uncomfortably high. We ordered two aperitifs, starters and mains. The drinks came after some time. We were not offered any water or bread, even though one of the starter was soup. We noticed that water and bread was given to guests at other tables. We asked for water, but we never got any water. The mains came, and they tasted good. We no had nothing to drink, and trying to get the attention to one of the waiters finally was successful. We found the service to be surprisingly inattentive and not what we had suspected. When we asked for the bill, we were asked to pay using the QR-code. We payed, but it was not possible to see the specifications of the bill, only the total amount. Given the poorly serviceman we removed the standard tip which was automatically added to the bill.

Nice small restaurant with very good menu.

We have been to you three times now, quite a distance apart. Unfortunately we won't be coming back, even though the ambience and service are really good. However, the impression arose of a continuous decline over the years. Unfortunately, we cannot fully understand your pricing. The schnitzel tasted great, but the portion was comparatively tiny. 30€ is simply too much here, in Alt Wien the schnitzel is really twice the size, Mutzenbacher, Austria, Ottenthal and Borchardt also serve more for the same price. But the side dishes weren't enough either, 3 spoons of potato salad and the cucumber salad were basically just garnishes. Unfortunately, the fried chicken was even more disappointing, apart from the fact that it wasn't a fried chicken, but three breaded chicken inner fillets. Plus muddy bird salad for €25, sorry that just doesn't fit. In our opinion, the price-performance gap is too wide. It's a shame, it's really cozy here. But from a purely culinary point of view, we feel better off elsewhere.

Dined here Sunday evening, March 17th. I had the Wiener schnitzel with two orders of Semmelknöde. The second order I had came with a gravy boat of goulash sauce to dip the dumplings into it, this came at the suggestion of the server. Every time I come to Berlin, I always make a point to visit Sissi! Thanks for a lovely meal!

Absolutely clear recommendation! We were a spontaneous guest yesterday and were thrilled. Very friendly service, good wine and very tasty food. Pumpkin seed soup and goose meat dumplings were extremely tasty and finally had enough sauce for the dumplings. We'll definitely be back!

What a shame that Empress Sissi couldn't stop by this restaurant! The food is really top notch! From the delicious pumpkin cream soup, really to die for, to the perfect veal schnitzel, irresistibly juicy and crispy... to the Kaiserschmarren, a pastry at its best... not to mention the homemade vanilla ice cream. A shop with charm and simply irresistible! I'll definitely come back...

If you like a good schnitzel, delicious pasta or Kaiserschmarrn or generally like heartier food, you'll get your money's worth here. The price is a little higher, but the taste is great. Service courteous and always nice. Recommended! Even if you have to dig a little deeper into your pockets.

Das Essen war sehr gut. Das Dessert war leider etwas kalt aber trotzdem sehr lecker. Der Service überzeugte leider nicht. Trinkgeld wurde nicht wertgeschätzt. Kellner war sehr arrogant.

Super Österreicher!! Spätzle mal etwas anders präsentiert, aber geschmacklich wie das Original in Österreich. Der Service hat in diesem Restaurant einen super Job gemacht.

Österreich von seiner kulinarischen Seite in Berlin. Das Lokal ist gemütlich und urig österreichisch eingerichtet. Der Service war in diesem kleinen Lokal sehr angenehm. Gegessen wurde standesgemäß ein Wiener Schnitzel vom Kalb. Hier ist die Qualität und die Quantität der Portion sehr hervorzuheben. Sehr zu empfehlen falls man in Berlin ein richtiges Wiener Schitzel essen möchte.

30 Euro for one of the worst schnitzel I personally have eaten in Berlin. I also didn’t really like the wine selection. And the vibe of the place is very not nice in my opinion

Gänseknödel mit Blaukraut und himmlischer Bratensauce gegessen. Rioja und Feuer im Holzofen dazu. Besser geht's nicht.
