Viennese veal schnitzel with potato-cucumber salad and cranberries €34.90. Quality is decent, but doesn't justify the price. Friendly service staff, hardly speaks any German.

The food was delicious but hopelessly overpriced. Unfortunately, the chairs are extremely hard, it's like sitting at the counter, it's uncomfortable, even though the room actually looks nice. Too bad.

The schnitzel tasted very good, but in my opinion it was too expensive with a side dish and cranberries at €38. The fries could have stayed in the deep fryer a little longer. Unfortunately we had a not so good table where no one sat 10cm directly next to me. There are few seats and the restaurant is rather small, probably because of this. The service was friendly and the food was served quickly.

Cosy restaurant with typical Austrian food, the atmosphere is friendly. The food however was not sophisticated, in my opinion. I do not have so many schnitzel reference in Berlin but I had better schnitzels in Germany or Austria. The meat was tasty, yet a little overcooked and partially hard, needed a little salt too. The warm potato and cucumber salad was on the contrary very tasty and well balanced. Kaiserschmarrn was ok, a huge portion but tastes a lot like egg, like I had an omelette. Overall it was also a little pricey, ordering schnitzel and the potato salad and the berry jam separately adds up to a little higher than a regular schnitzel price.

How enchanting is this restaurant! How lucky we were that we were able to get space for 2 people without a reservation. Right outside the window. And what a great evening we had! Both culinary and human. We express our heartfelt thanks! And if you can and it's still on the menu: try the plum compote, it's a poem!

I recently celebrated a very nice birthday here and I have to say it was really great! The price-performance ratio is consistent and the prices are fair. But be careful with the great rosé Prosecco. As tasty as it is, it can quickly cost money, as I discovered 😉

Food was expensive for what we got. Service was good. The interior was not special.

Zugang durch Lokal im Erdgeschoss, dann über Treppenhaus in den ersten Stock, Kleiner Raum, vollgepfropft, mit Tischen und Gästen, unerträglich laut. Freundliche Bedienung, wir hatten zweimal Elsässer Flammkuchen, für den kleinen Hunger, mit kleinem Salat. Und zweimal Wiener Schnitzel vom Schwein mit Erdäpfelsalat. Das Schnitzel hat mit einem richtigen Wiener Schnitzel leider nichts gemein. Zwei dicke Stücke Schweinefleisch in liebloser Panade, wahrscheinlich aus der Fritteuse. Bekomme ich selbst beim Italiener um die Ecke besser und zum halben Preis. Schnitzel 23,50 € zzgl. 6€ für den kleinen Erdäpfelsalat. Große Enttäuschung und völlig überteuert. Getränke ok. Werden wir nicht noch einmal versuchen.

Great food, ate schnitzel with potatoes, cucumber salad and a beetle bean salad that we shared between the two of us. Portions were very large and tasted great. Highly recommended. Prices are completely ok.

One of my all time fav places in Berlin. Just 4 starts because reservations are timed. And I find 2 hours to dine is too short.

Very good Austrian restaurant, small but nice with very good food, great wines and great service. The venison ragout and the cheese spaetzle were a dream, perfectly seasoned and well seasoned. The Kaiserschmarrn was also super tasty and a decent-sized portion to share.

En meget tydelig gay-restaurant i et tydeligt gay-område, men meget flinke og høflige folk. Vi skulle sidde ovenpå, og her skulle man nærmest gennem to køkkener og over i en anden bygning? Heroppe var røde vægge og et maleri af en grøn mark og to nøgne mænd der havde sex mens en misfornøjet malkepige så på. Vi fik en wienerschnitzel, der var ret stor, men også kostede over tohundrede kroner, og så skulle alt tilbehør tilkøbes. På regningen var påført 10% drikkepenge. De kunne ikke fjernes, men man kunne også vælge 20%, 30% eller mere!

Lovely restaurant on the edge of the gay area of berlin. I actually found it with a google search for “Schnitzel near me”. It was just around the corner. I arrived fairly early at 6 so was able to get a seat in the window. Service was friendly and effecient. The veal schnitzel was very tasty and a huge serve. Went perfectly with the cucumber potato salad. From how quickly people were arriving I would definitely recommend booking. Worth the trip.

Visité Sisi para nuestra última comida de Navidad de nuestro descanso. Anteriormente hemos tenido una gran experiencia y hemos sido bien atendidos por el personal de espera. Sin embargo, al llegar recibimos una recepción helada del propietario que parecía pensar que éramos un “no show” en nuestra última visita en un tono muy desagradable. Nos pareció muy desalentadora la fría bienvenida, especialmente porque nunca no hemos aparecido cuando hemos hecho una reserva. La comida es buena y el personal de espera es brillante, pero sienten que el propietario es demasiado antipático para que volvamos.

Authentic Austrian cuisine! I really enjoy coming here and eating the Käsespätzle, the schnitzel and, for dessert, the Kaiserschmarrn or the apple strudel.

Leider ein unangenehmes Erlebnis im Restaurant Sissi. Ein permanenter Toilettengeruch war das eine. Zum anderen war ein Mirabellenschnaps für 5,50 auf der Karte aufgeführt. Ich hatte drei für unseren Tisch bestellt. Auf der Rechnung stand dann 11,40 pro Mirabellenschnaps, also 34,20. Es gab wohl noch eine teurere Variante, von der ich nichts wusste. Die Speisekarten muss man sich am Anfang aufs Handy laden, so dass man beim Bezahlen keine Speisekarte direkt in Händen hält. Bauernfängerei. Sehr unschön u unfair. Wir waren zum roten u letzten Mal in diesem Restaurant. Andrea

You wouldn't know it from its quaint storefront, but Sissi ia an amazing restaurant. The employees are helpful and friendly, and the food is straight out of Vienna! Outstanding!!

Good Austrian dishes in a fun setting

J'avoue, c'est le meilleur Schnitzel que j'ai pu manger jusqu'ici. La viande (veau) est tendre et la panure fine et qui tient bien. La petite salade de pomme de terre et concombre, miam. Le restau ne paye pas de mine mais on y mange très bien Je recommande vivement

The food, we had veal schnitzel and potato/cucumber salad and then Kaiserschmarrn, was delicious. Even though I didn't really like the style of Kaiserschmarrn (sometimes you can taste the egg too much, the consistency is more like scrambled eggs) - but everyone is different. But the price: Clearly too expensive at 27 euros for a schnitzel that doesn't even overlap - without any side dish! You have to pay another 5.50 for the salad, which is 10(!) euros more compared to Austrians in Kreuzberg that are at least as good. This borders on rip-off. Especially when the board says: Schnitzel with potato salad Plus: Beer only from the bottle, at least one on tap should be available for that price. We had reserved and when we sat there and only then noticed the prices, we stayed anyway: it was our own fault. So conclusion: But disappointing, even if the ambience is quite nice (turn down the heating a bit)

I am really very disappointed with our visit to Sissi. First of all: It's okay to charge a lot of money for an exceptional experience - I'm willing to pay for high quality. But prices have to somehow make sense and be justified. Selling a schnitzel for just under €28 (or pork for €24) without a single side dish is pretty cheeky. The restaurant even charges just under €2 for cranberries. Plus a potato and cucumber salad for just under €6, you pay more than in other well-known, noble Beliner schnitzel restaurants (which are fancier and better located). If the quality is right, high prices are okay. My companion and I chose the pork schnitzel because we avoid veal if possible for the sake of the young animal. It is the technique that determines whether the breading is crispy, bubbles and the meat is wafer-thin, and not whether it is veal or pork. Our schnitzels were neither thin nor did the breading bubble. (See picture comparison of your card and the real product). The cranberries were a small portion and totally ordinary, the fries were regular fries. Another disappointment with Kaiserschmarrn. There is a Kaiserschmarrn for 2 people for €15.50 on the menu - we asked if it was also available for one person. Yes, There would be half a portion. The half portion came and we were charged €12.50 (+€5.50 for a scoop of vanilla ice cream). If we had known that, we would have either not ordered one or ordered a double portion for 3 euros more and I would have brought the rest home to my partner. In my opinion, this schnitzel cannot compete with other schnitzels in similarly priced Berlin restaurants and this dinner with 2x schnitzel (+ side dish), a water, 2 glasses of wine and 1/2 Kaiserschmarrn for 115€ is overpriced. The service was friendly and the ambience is good (be careful, the seats are very, very tight and it is not well suited for wheelchair users) The restaurant forces you to use your smartphone via an online map via QR code, it's a personal preference thing - but I find it super uncomfortable. The chairs are hard, the tables are small. It just doesn't seem appropriate.

We (4 people) wanted to spend a nice evening there. When we were seated at the table, we were told we had a 90-minute window to eat. After 30 minutes nothing except a glass of water. We weren't allowed to order the menu because we didn't have enough time. We have never experienced anything like this anywhere before. We then left and spent a very nice evening somewhere else. From our point of view, pure mass production that has little to do with Austrian food culture. Since we lived in Vienna for 5 years, we know what we are talking about.

The service was really good, unfortunately the only good thing about this restaurant. The food was pretty salty, not aesthetically pleasing and way too expensive for the quality. The table was too small for three people and all three plates didn't fit on the table so it made the entire eating situation very sketchy.

Went one evening for dinner with my husband on November 14, 2024. We visited the restaurant's website and saw the very welcoming and elegant place with amazing dishes and then we decided to go since we were in Berlin on holiday. As soon as we entered the waiter signaled us with his finger to sit LIII.... At a table in front of the entrance door, high with a stool and very uncomfortable for dining even though they had a lounge with normal tables. We decide to order the dumplings and as a second course the goulash which my husband likes and he said it was finished at 9.45pm We then decide to eat dessert. NO THAT'S FINISHED TOO. I go to the bathroom before leaving and I see the kitchen already in full cleaning. That's why they had finished everything even though the closing time was 11pm. Thank you for the courtesy of the guests in holiday Berlin. HORRIBLE HOSPITALITY 2 dumplings and 2 bottles of water for a total of 62.80 euros

The food was quite tasty, although a bit overpriced. Unfortunately we waited an hour for our food, which is already a very long time - without any explanation. Nicely decorated, but the table we sat at was really small.

I can't comment the food since we didn't eat there finally but the space is cramped and they only have QR code menu which I deem as utterly unacceptable (I don't need to use my private phone to eat).

We enjoyed a fantastic night in Sissi last night celebrating our anniversary. We had the sharing menu - a Culinary journey through Austria - and while there was a lot of food overall, it was an absolutely delectable set of dishes and a delight for the taste buds from start to finish! Once we got a handle on our pacing, we were able to savour each part of the meal. It’s difficult to pinpoint highlights, but we adored the Tarte "Alsatian style" and Viennese goulash w/ white bread dumplings. The atmosphere was warm and homely. Our servers were friendly, attentive and fun, and added another layer of positivity to the whole experience! Thank you both. When we revisit Berlin, we will be back!

Fantastic food and fantastic service. I had the Wiener schnitzel and it was absolutely beautiful. The portion was very generous too. All staff spoke to me in English, as I’m not very confident with German. The cosy setting was like eating with family.

Came here on a whim during a visit to Berlin. This restaurant truly embodies the German/Austrian idea of "Gastfreundlichkeit"! Nikolai, our server, was extremely friendly and accomodating and the food was delectable. The schnitzel with the lingonberry sauce was my favorite part, and the Kaiserschmarrn was also very tasty. Can't recommend this place enough for a visit.

We are very very excited! Had the Bresse chicken and schnitzel from whole milk veal and it was incredibly delicious! The service was super friendly and committed! Short waiting time! Definitely coming back!!

We were there on October 23rd, 2024. If I hadn't searched online for a restaurant for Wiener Schnitzel, I would have missed this rather inconspicuous restaurant. And really missed something! We were there spontaneously and despite a large number of “Reserved” signs, the owner was still able to accommodate us. Small negative point: in the very small room where we sat there is no cell phone reception, which ruins the great idea of ​​the digital menu. The waiter immediately offered us an iPad with a digital menu. My cell phone also consistently refused to connect to the restaurant's open WiFi. In general, the staff was very friendly, attentive, but never intrusive. As a little something first, the house provided some bread with horseradish cream, which tasted absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately the waiter wasn't quite sure what exactly was in there, but we did taste some citrus. Even my son, who doesn't like horseradish, spurned the ketchup on his croquette side dish and preferred to dip it in this cream. We both had a veal Wiener Schnitzel, which, in my opinion, was close to perfection. Only my son's schnitzel was a bit too thick at one end. (But that is criticism at the highest level and only exists because I have absolutely nothing else to say found criticism) Meat perfectly cooked, breading perfect. Just the right amount of lemon for the size. My potato and cucumber salad was very tasty and the quantity was just right as a side dish. Yes, you have to be aware that the price of the restaurant is on the higher end, but, in my opinion, that is absolutely justified. The price compared to the quality is consistent. A great visit to the restaurant and a must visit on our next visit to Berlin!

Goulash is the must try! One of the waiter served us might have a bad day, a little bit pushy for asking us to place the order.

Warm and welcoming environment. I hadn't had goulash in 25 years and their goulash dish evoked childhood memories. The Wiener schnitzel was also very good. High value for money, the food is worth the price.

Wo fange ich nur an...Zuerst wurden wir freundlich zum Tisch geführt und ich habe ein high-five vom Koch bekommen. Nach kurzem Warten kam frisches warmes Brot mit Meerrettich-Sauce an den Tisch Das Schnitzel kam fast genau so schnell. Es war fast zu viel aber wir haben es geschafft. Zum Dessert gab es Kaiserschmarrn, was genau so zu empfehlen ist wie die anderen Sachen. Wir waren überwältigt von der Qualität und von der Freundlichkeit. Von aussen schön klein und gemütlich, von innen recht gross doch die Atmosphäre stimmt genau richtig. Bestes Schnitzel und bester Service seit langem...Sehr zu empfehlen👍👍👍

The Schnitzel is actually quite good!

Sissi serves Austrian food that tastes authentic, but somehow you miss the Viennese charm here Sissi comes across more like a better stand-up snack bar, although the prices would suggest otherwise. The restaurant leaves a very mixed impression. Even though the staff is very friendly and helpful, unfortunately there will be no further liaison with me and Sissi.

We had a delicious meal here! First of all there was the Flädle soup, which for my taste could have been a little more generous for around 8 euros but was still very tasty. The Wiener Schnitzel with lukewarm potato salad is of particularly good quality and the Kaiserschmarrn was quickly destroyed! In contrast to the soup, this portion was enough for two people. Delicious Austrian food with very friendly service!

The food was delicious and filling. The juice goulash was very tender and almost a bit too spicy. The bread dumplings are handmade. The Wiener Schnitzel should be of very good quality, the breading should be crispy and light. The table was too small for 6 people. I think a printed map would be good. Not everyone wants to scan a QR code. The ice cream with pumpkin seed oil was very tasty. Overall, I would recommend a visit.

Excellent tasting dishes and desserts, everything you know from Austrian cuisine but can be eaten in the heart of Berlin. Only a bit inconvenient because we were sitting in the pedestrian area and it was relatively loud right near the intersection, otherwise the service was very nice and always tried to provide us with the best possible care outside.

The value for money is not there. Average quality for a very expensive price. I won't go back there.

This restaurant is perfect for a good meal after a long day in Berlin. As it was a sweltering hot night we sat outside. The chairs had blankets if it got cold however I would recommend a cushion as the chairs were a bit uncomfortable. The waiter brought bread which was nice but the star was the sauce with it. We forgot to ask what it was... a mushroomy... peppery mix... whatever it was it was to die for. The food and drinks options are good and there is something for every tastes. I went with the veal schnitzel and it was delicious and the chips with were perfectly cooked. The waiter was very nice and recommended sauces to go with our options. The portion sizes were very generous.
