You can hardly get a better Krenschnitzel, even in Austria. Attentive, friendly service. Few places: reservation is recommended. It's a shame: €7 for 0.1l of wine is too expensive.

Here you can find very fine and sophisticated versions of Austrian classics such as Wiener Schnitzel, dumplings, cheese spaetzle, yeast dumplings, Kaiserschmarrn, etc. There are vegan versions of some dishes. The food is fantastic.

Convenience frozen schnitzel heated in deep fryer. That's not really Austrian food culture. Loud and sparsely decorated guest room. Nice service remains the only positive memory.

Went there spontaneously for dinner as a couple. It is very small, with larger groups it is almost impossible to eat there. The team is very friendly and accommodating! The food was very good! Prices but performance are only average. The ambience could be improved a bit. The sanitary facilities may need to be checked more often.

Small and very good Austrian restaurant. It's very easy to overlook it, it's small and it's not a restaurant, it's a coffee bistro. The food is great, very tasty Wienerschnitzel and the apricot dumplings are highly recommended. No keg beer but interesting bottles of beers. Price performance okay.

Goose leg, very tasty. Bread dumplings, also very tasty, even if there are no comparison criteria. Red cabbage, already seasoned for Christmas, delicious in consistency, clearly too much sugar. Apricot dumplings and coffee with milk are a wonderful ending.

On a Sunday we ate at Österelli and made reservations there in advance. I would also recommend it as the store is quite small. The furnishings are modern and stylish. Unfortunately the acoustics in the restaurant are not that great, I found it very loud. Acoustic panels would help. About the food: I've been to Austria a few times and have never eaten such good Kaiserschmarrn in Germany. The schnitzel, cordon bleu, potato salad, cheese spaetzle and carrot salad were also very, very tasty. I will definitely stop by again and try more.

The food at Österelli was really excellent, and I also really liked the service and the cozy atmosphere. A big compliment to the kitchen and the nice team! Unfortunately, the restaurant is quite small and you only have 1.5 hours per reservation before you are asked to vacate the table because the next guests are already waiting. This wasn't clearly communicated on the website - I only discovered it when I looked directly in the restaurant reservation system. Unfortunately, I wasn't informed about this at all when I made my Google reservation, and that led to disappointment on site. Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to order dessert and had to drink my coffee quicker than I wanted. The time pressure definitely dampened the mood and spoiled the experience. It's a shame, because without this restriction I would certainly have given it 5 stars.

What can I say? I was denied tap water. We placed our order and ended up asking for tap water. This was then refused to us by the waiter. “We’re not allowed to serve anything”… I think it’s a real shame and therefore only one point.

The food was very tasty and authentic. Nice, intimate atmosphere and top service.

In my opinion, the perfect Wiener Schnitzel is available here. Overall, the entire meal was incredibly good. As a starter we had a mixed salad and spinach dumplings. For dessert there was an excellent apricot dumpling and a delicious apricot schnapps. The service was also great and everything is very nicely designed overall. The restaurant is highly recommended. We absolutely loved the food – everything was delicious! We were also impressed by the stylish and inviting atmosphere. The prices are appropriate for the quality of the food, but the service left a lot to be desired: a lack of cutlery, a forgotten side dish, and an unfocused waiter who kept chattering away. The guests next to us even left because they had to wait so long. Nevertheless, I can highly recommend the restaurant and will happily come back for a second try. :)

It was a small but nice menu and four of us enjoyed it very much! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room is very attractively designed. If we are in Berlin again, we will definitely eat there again.

Small but very good restaurant with enough distance from other guests. Service friendly and effective. Shortly after the drinks were served, the appetizers were served: spinach dumplings and potato soup. Both tasted excellent. As a main course we ate Wiener Schnitzel and Spätzle with cheese. Portions very large and super tasty. It's clear to see that everything is homemade. Highly recommended.

Lovely, cosy location for elevated Austrian cuisine. I recommend the Spinat Knödel - I would return there just for that! Otherwise it was overall a lovely meal, excellent Schnitzel 👌 The crowd was maybe a little more “elegant”, than other eateries in Berlin.

Very cute restaurant with excellent food. The dumplings, especially spinach and truffles, were a highlight. and the schnitzel was also very tasty. It's just a shame that all the red wines were dry. Staff friendly and charming. Definitely recommended

Great classical Austrian food. I love West Berlin – besides, I even consciously chose to live here. However, one issue with its dining establishments is that they are unironically old-fashioned. Enormous wooden tables, puffy seats, checkered tablecloth. You feel obligated to bring your family there – a family of at least eight beautiful kids, that is. Now, this place is nothing like that. It is compact, concise, content, you can ever say trendy – at least in my Eastern European perception plagued with minimalist design. It is located opposite to Komische’s Opera temporary home, which is another plus. The food is great, too. I am a huge fan of Breznknödel, and they happen to have them with truffles – makes you think that Austrian/German food is actually not just potato and sausages after all. The schnitzel? The schnitzel is great, almost as good as it gets, and is served with a selection of pickled vegetables. Mind this, I am not a huge pickled potato affiliate – but would never not finish my serving here. Two small issues that have been haunting me for a while: 1. Whenever I come on Sunday, they have ran out of buratta. It always happens, I have in fact given up any hope on ever trying it. 2. The outside seating is plagued by WASPs (not the White Anglo-Saxon Protestant kind either, the yellow-and-black stripped ones). Bloody annoying.

Very small restaurant with 12 tables for two. Modern and cool furnishings. Reminds me more of a bar. But the cuisine and food are very good.

Very nice staff and delicious food at fair prices. Unfortunately it wasn't possible to serve alcohol during our visit, but there was Almdudler! Would recommend Österelli to anyone looking for a small, fine shop with food from the Alps.

Went there for dinner last Sunday at 3:30 p.m. We really enjoyed the food and drinks, and the restaurant manager also took excellent care of us.

Horseradish Schnitzel is surprisingly light, crispy & well seasoned. The grated horseradish on top really made it for me. Great potato salad also.

Really very tasty and food, made with time, care and most importantly, love. The owner is proud of what she offers and it shows through her generosity and friendliness. It's somewhat weird location makes it a bit of a Geheimtipp - a place you learn about through word of mouth or, like me, you just happened to pass by. The Knödel are really delicious--not too salty, the right size, and a soft, wonderfully inviting consistency. It's a small bistro, it's lively, loud when full, which it likely often is because the food is so great, and the view outside is lacklustre, but I kind of like that. It's a little shiny gem in a concrete jungle.

Food Quality: very good food. Every dish was delicious. Worth giving the dessert Knoddel a try. Portions: good size dishes and well made. Drinks: lemonades, softdrinks, beers, wines. I booked a table at this restaurant for my mother's birthday based on the good reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing and we cannot recommend the restaurant. The food was OK, but the service left a lot to be desired. The young waiter who served us was either not in the mood or having a bad day. We waited about 15 minutes for our drinks. There were four of us and we all ordered a schnitzel. The first schnitzel came relatively quickly, but without any side dish. We had to wait another five minutes for the remaining three schnitzels. I don't expect anything like that in 2024 and if it does, it should be communicated. Additionally, a fork was missing from our table, which we reported to the waiter, but nothing happened. Only the waitress noticed it was missing and brought the fork. A bottle of water that we had ordered later was also forgotten. The lady who works there deserves a positive mention. She was very kind and accommodating and tried to make up for the waiter's lack of service. Overall we had the feeling that the process wasn't right and we were very disappointed at the end of the evening.

Louder than a hospital cafeteria. Eat good. A conversation with the person sitting next to you is only possible if you shout at each other to combat the noise from the kitchen, as it is not spatially separated. Our dessert order was forgotten.

Casual food, service a bit overwhelmed in the fully booked restaurant, 1 beer was on the house because a drink was forgotten. Still 5 stars for service, very friendly service. Food fresh and casual. The Kaiserschmarrn is highly recommended. Toilets could be cleaner. Restaurant located on the street, just not possible otherwise in Berlin :-) Many kind regards

An absolute gem in Berlin's culinary landscape, which has often become arbitrary at times. Österelli has fought through difficult times for the restaurant industry and has earned its loyal customer base with consistent quality and service. This is not a place to see and be seen. Here the desire for well-made Austrian cuisine plays the first fiddle. Was a guest at a private party there this evening on the occasion of a birthday and was once again impressed by the excellent service. Truffle dumplings, schnitzel and Kaiserschmarrn did the rest to make the evening a great experience. Compliments, I was very happy, keep it up!!

not recommendable. Very loud and food too bad for the price. The highlight, however, was that after 1 hour you were asked to leave because the next people were coming. And that even though you had previously made a reservation by phone and nothing of the sort was said. IMPOSSIBLE

Really nice lunch, mixed a main course of white asparagus, schnitzel and hollandaise with a starter of two very delicious spinach dumplings. In addition, two glasses of white wine according to the waiter's recommendation. Total for 2 people, about DKK 500.

If a restaurant doesn't get 5 stars from me on Google, I always have a problem with it and I don't want to be unfair. Overall conclusion of our group of 5: it was ok, but not good. When we were greeted in front of the restaurant, we were spoken to in a somewhat rude manner by the waitress (boss?). She also wasn't very nice to the delivery men who drove in and out of the restaurant. Over the course of the evening, things became harmonized at our table. We had reserved and that was a good thing because the guest room is relatively small. Unfortunately there is no way for 5 adults to sit comfortably with two rather tall men. We were relocated again, but the chairs/tables are the same everywhere. It was all pretty tight. The dining room itself is also quite modern and appears cool. The selection of dishes with dumplings, chicken, schnitzel is ok. My Wienerschnitzel was good, our friend's Krenschnitzel was a bit tough in his opinion. The large Kaiserschmarrn was enough for dessert for the 5 of us, but unfortunately the almonds were a bit burnt, which sometimes caused a bitter taste if you weren't careful and sorted out. Overall the food was ok, but not really good for our taste. In addition, all dishes were significantly more expensive than in another Austrian restaurant we had visited in Berlin a few days earlier. Ultimately everything is subjective and a matter of taste. From the many great reviews here, I can tell that others have experienced it differently. Since I was here precisely because of these reviews, I also wanted to give my impression.

A small restaurant opposite the Schiller Theater in Berlin and although it is a bar/bistro, there is a full kitchen that is just right for lovers of Austrian dishes. The stay is accompanied by music that comes from Austria. The staff is totally friendly and service-oriented. The wines were presented to me with a story and I felt like I was in good hands.

Good food, somewhat uncomfortable bistro style, the service alone was a bit overwhelmed. One and a half hours of time was almost impossible to keep.

Our expectations were exceeded. We were received very well as soon as we entered the location. The aperitif was delicious and the starter excellent. For the main course there was Wiener Schnitzel, a selection of dumplings and cheese spaetzle... All of which is highly recommended. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back at some point. Hello ✌🏼🤤

Unfortunately it doesn't have much to do with Austrian culture. The tables and seating were far too narrow. You're almost on your neighbor's lap. And eating from the neighboring table would also have been possible. Food was tasty.

Overall a really nice experience, exceptionally delicious food, from starters to dessert with lots of vegetarian options. The cook came to the table at the end and there was a schnapps on the house, the waiter beforehand could have been a little more helpful and friendly.

Nice little restaurant, we thought it was great. The 3 boys today were really nice, super attentive and very personable. Food top! Yes, the price level is high, but we think it is justified. Elsewhere you pay a lot and get subpar service and bad food. Good food has its price - keep it up. The atmosphere is just something different. It's not a chici mici shop, it's rustic, but that's completely sufficient.

Great Wiener Schnitzel and arguably the best Kaiserschmarrn I've had. They interpret these dishes with real nuance and finesse, while staying true to the classic flavour profiles, making them both satisfying and exciting to eat. I'll happily come again.
