Nußbaumerin in Berlin

Wie in Österreich. Sehr gute Fritatensuppe. Tolle Brände. Toller Salat zum Schnitzel. Persönlich finde ich, das Wiener Schnitzel könnte zarter sein, oftmals ein Problem. Aber es war trotzdem auf hohem Niveau. Das Personal läuft sich die Hacken ab und ist um die Gäste sehr bemüht. Das Menü ist zu empfehlen, auch ein Brand zum Abschluss.

❌❌❌.Wir wollten vor Ort einen Tisch für den Abend reservieren – für zwei Erwachsene und ein Kind. Das Lokal war noch geschlossen, dennoch begegneten wir an der Tür einer Mitarbeiterin, mit der wir kurz sprachen. Sie winkte sofort ab und machte dabei eine für uns klar erkennbare optische Selektion. So etwas habe ich in 50 Jahren Restaurantbesuchen noch nie erlebt… Wir sind Nachbarn und wollten das Lokal zum ersten Mal ausprobieren. Wir gehen mehrmals die Woche essen, aber einen derart unhöflichen Empfang hatten wir noch nie. Wirklich schade. Der Eindruck, den man uns vermittelt hat, war: Entweder sind Kinder bzw. Jugendliche unerwünscht – oder Menschen mit Migrationshintergrund. Wie dem auch sei: Für uns ist das Thema damit erledigt. Wir gehen ins Weyers Schnitzel essen.

Mein Besuch im Restaurant Nußbaumerin hinterließ einen wirklich positiven Gesamteindruck. Schon beim Eintreffen gab es eine ausgesprochen nette Begrüßung. Die Karte bietet zudem eine erfreulich gute Auswahl an klassischen Speisen. Einzig das Ambiente draußen auf der Straße beziehungsweise dem Gehweg ist nicht ganz so klasse, da es dort recht unruhig ist. Drinnen hingegen passt alles. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt war anfangs der Humor der Servicekraft, der nicht ganz meinen Geschmack traf – das legte sich mit der Zeit aber komplett. Kulinarisch war der Abend ein voller Erfolg: Die Suppe war schon wirklich gut, aber das folgende Schnitzel war einfach erstklassig. Es war perfekt souffliert und auch die Salate dazu absolut perfekt abgestimmt. Ein sehr guter Espresso Macchiato bildete den Abschluss. Auch preislich ist hier alles vollkommen in Ordnung. Ich komme sicher wieder!

Tolles kleines Restaurant , gutes Essen mit großer Weinauswahl. Die Nachspeisen einfach lecker. Super Service, schnell, sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Keine lange Wartezeiten auf das Essen. Man sollte lieber reservieren.. Wirklich eine Reise nach Österreich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Essen war lecker aber ein bisschen langweilig. Backhendl ziemlich trocken, nur mit ein bisschen Kartoffelsalat als Beilage. Ist schon sehr gute Qualität aber ich hätte mir noch etwas dazu gewünscht, damit es weniger trocken ist.

Das Essen ist fantastisch und der Service wirkt persönlich.

Einfach das beste österreichische Restaurant in Berlin

In der Zeit der Pandemie ... ... durften wir die herzliche Gastfreundschaft von Frau Nussbaumer und ihrem Team kennenlernen. Leider konnten wir erst jetzt wieder zu Besuch kommen. Also folgten wir dem Motto des Restaurants „Seid hungrig, seid durstig, seid neugierig, seid herzlich willkommen.“ Genau wie beim ersten Besuch wurden wir sehr herzlich empfangen. Unsere Jacken wurden von einer netten Mitarbeiterin in Empfang genommen und zur Garderobe gebracht. Als wir gingen, wurden uns diese auch wieder gereicht. Unser reservierter Tisch stand bereit und war stilvoll eingedeckt. Auch hier wurden wir gleich von Anfang an von der Servicemitarbeiterin sehr herzlich und aufmerksam in Empfang genommen. Und, was auch gleich erwähnt sein muss, wir wurden vom Beginn bis zum Ende unseres Besuchs sehr gut betreut und auch immer wieder sehr kompetent beraten, wenn unsere Neugierde Fragen hatten. Diese waren schon gleich bei der Getränkebestellung vorhanden. Schließlich wollte ein Teil von uns Wein genießen und hier wurden gute Empfehlungen ausgesprochen. Ebenso wurde der vorherige Aperitif sehr gut erklärt. Wir waren natürlich auch hungrig und so hatten wir als Vorspeisen Fritattensuppe und Spargelcremesuppe. Der Hauptgang waren das Wiener Rindersaftgulasch mit Semmelknödel, das Wiener Schnitzel mit lauwarmen Erdäpfel-Gurkensalat, das Wiener Backhendl mit Erdäpfel-Vogerlsalat und der Tafelspitz mit Krensoße und Bratkartoffeln. Zu dem gewählten Menü gab es Kürbiskernparfait an marinierten Marillen. Alles war einfach sehr sehr gut und ein Genuss! Die Preise sind sehr angemessen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder – denn wir habe uns sehr herzlich willkommen gefühlt!

Großartig. Gemütliche Location, sehr gutes Essen und hervorragender Service. Die Nussbaumerin ist super nett und sehr liebenswert. Kommen immer wieder gern hierher.

Hervorragende österreichische Küche und eine herzliche, souveräne Gastgeberin. Das Wiener Schnitzel war perfekt ausgebacken, der Kartoffelsalat wunderbar abgeschmeckt. Der stuckverzierte Gastraum mit hohen Weinregalen strahlt eine behagliche Atmosphäre aus und bot den passenden Rahmen für einen genussvollen Abend. Eine große Empfehlung!

Mitarbeiterin hat überhaupt keine Lust. Essen war trocken. Laden ist sehr klein mit den Tischen also auch sehr laut.

Ein rundum gelungener Abend! Tolle Atmosphäre, sehr gute Weine und aufmerksamer Service. Das Wiener Schnitzel war definitiv ein Erlebnis: Das Fleisch war so zart – und so hauchdünn, dass es tatsächlich dünner war als die Panade. Muss man auch erst mal schaffen 😉 Wer genau darauf steht, wird hier sicher glücklich. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Abend!

Wir hatten vier Wochen im voraus reserviert und nur einen Slot von 17:30-19:30 Uhr bekommen. Soweit so gut. Dort angekommen fühlte man sich wie ein notwendiges Übel. Nichts Gemütliches, alles musste schnell gehen. Also fix bestellt, der Aperitif war gerade mal angenippt, da kam schon das Hauptgetränk. Zwei Minuten später dann die Nachricht, dass wir umbestellen müssen, Backhendl dauert mindestens eine Stunde, das schaffen sie nicht, ob wir stattdessen Schnitzel nehmen...nein, dann bitte die Karte.... Upps, das passte dem Service gar nicht, die Karte... Sie kam und wirklich nur Minütchen später die Frage, was wir denn nun wollen... eigentlich hätte man gehen müssen... Also Alternativen bestellt, bis das Essen kam, dauerte es dann im Vergleich ziemlich lang. Essen war gut, wenn auch nicht das, was ein Teil von uns eigentlich wollte und statt des Bieres, was zum Hendl ja gut gepasst hätte, hätte nun eigentlich ein Glas Rotwein zum Essen gepasst, aber das Bier war ja schon da. Dann die Frage, ob wir denn noch Dessert möchten...gern, wir bräuchten bitte dazu noch die Karte. Wie, Karte? Sie brachte sie, aber als wir Marillenknödel haben wollten, wurde uns mitgeteilt, die könne man uns nicht machen, die dauern zu lange, Kaiserschmarrn im übrigen auch nicht. Wir wüssten ja, dass wir nur bis 19:30 Uhr den Slot hätten. Als ich erwiderte, dass uns bei der Reservierung aber nicht gesagt wurde, dass dann auch nicht alle Essen zur Wahl stehen würden, wurde nur geantwortet, dann sollen wir beim nächsten Mal später buchen, dann ist offenes Ende... Ganz ehrlich, ein nächstes Mal wird es nicht geben, das war eine absolute Frechheit. Die vollen Preise nehmen, aber nicht die volle Leistung, dann darf man ein solches Konzept nicht anbieten.

Einfach nur spitzenmäßig. Wir hatten das 3-Gänge Menü und das war die beste Frittatensuppe aller Zeiten. Das Wiener Schnitzel war grandios und der Palatschinken ist ein Gedicht. Mehr kann man dazu nicht sagen. Perfekter Service und ein Ambiente wie in Wien. Preis-Leistung absolut gerechtfertigt!!

Sehr gute, österreichische Küche. Es gibt nicht nur Wiener Schnitzel und Kaiserschmarren, sondern auch (wenn die Küche nicht gerade überlastet ist) Salzburger Nockerl. Und natürlich gibt es auch viele andere Gerichte.

Insgesamt sehr lecker und freundlicher Service! ABER: für Personen mit gutem Appetit ist die Portion im Menü nicht unbedingt ausreichend. Bei den ausgewiesenen Preisen bei der Beilage zu sparen ist leider enttäuschend. 23 € für vier kleine Spinatknödel ohne Gemüse o.ä. dazu ebenfalls.

Der Abend war perfekt, begonnen mit der Begrüßung, super nette und kompetente Bedienung. Das Essen war sehr lecker, das Wiener Schnitzel ein Gedicht. Aber die absolute Krönung war das Kürbiskern Parfait. Zum Dahinschmelzen. Alles in allem ein gelungener Abend. Preis Leistung war völlig okay. Wir waren ab 17:30 Uhr da, die perfekte Zeit, später wurde es doch ziemlich laut.

Eines der besten Essen unserer Europareise! Das beste Rinderstroganoff und Schnitzel, das ich je gegessen habe. Auch der Roséwein war hervorragend. Schade, dass wir keinen Platz mehr für ein Dessert hatten! Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und die Preise absolut angemessen.

Leider eine sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung. Die Mitarbeiterin war äußerst unsympathisch, wirkte inkompetent und zudem sehr unhöflich. Ein solches Verhalten ist in der Gastronomie absolut fehl am Platz. Serviceorientierung und Freundlichkeit sollten hier selbstverständlich sein. Obwohl Plätze vorhanden waren, wollten Sie uns nicht aufnehmen

Ein wahres Juwel unter den Restaurants. Hervorragendes Essen, Wein, Gastfreundschaft und Service. Das Essen war ein Höhepunkt meiner letzten Berlinreise. Es ist wunderbar, ein unabhängiges Restaurant zu sehen, dem sein Angebot und seine Gäste so viel bedeuten. Gut mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erreichen. Frühzeitig reservieren, um sich einen Platz zu sichern.

It was a truly wonderful experience in terms of food, atmosphere, and service. The service was very personal, attentive despite the restaurant being full, and always cheerful. The food was of the highest quality and taste, and served to everyone in the group at the same time. They gave us great tips. It was a real pleasure to be there, and I highly recommend it. Many thanks to the owner of Nussbaumen and the fantastic team.

Full of anticipation, we accepted an Advent invitation to the legendary restaurant Die Nussbaumerin. And yes, the schnitzel and roulade were good (though the cucumber and potato salad was more like mush), and the atmosphere was refined. We were also aware of the unfortunate two-hour time limit. But then: 15 minutes before the time limit expired, the server asked us to pay and politely ushered us from the table, without even having ordered dessert. This greatly annoyed us, as it had nothing to do with hospitality or a pleasant get-together. What a shame!

Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was very disappointing overall – not because of the food, but primarily because of how we were treated as guests and the billing process. Right from the start, we were repeatedly criticized for two people having canceled at the last minute. Of course, this is annoying, but spontaneous cancellations happen – but to constantly bring it up with the other guests right from the beginning and throughout the entire evening is completely unprofessional, disrespectful, and unpleasant. The food itself was good; there's nothing to complain about there. However, the real problems began when it came time to pay: We were suddenly charged an extra €16 because we wanted to pay with Air Max. Furthermore, two drinks appeared on the bill that we hadn't ordered. Another drink was claimed to be "in place of another one," even though it was more expensive. When we pointed out the price difference, they just rolled their eyes and reluctantly gave us a single euro back. We were also offered a digestif. I completely understand that such things aren't automatically complimentary – but at almost €11 per mini-glass, a brief mention of the price or at least showing a menu would have been appropriate and fair. We were also charged for cranberries that we hadn't ordered and that several people at the table didn't even want – again without any mention of this in the menu or by the staff. The cover charge of almost €8 per person was particularly annoying, as it was neither clearly listed in the menu nor adequately communicated. When we pointed out that this fee was actually illegal without prior notice, we were essentially told that it was "punishment" for not informing them of the two people who had cancelled in time. This is absolutely unacceptable. Another dish was advertised online and in the restaurant with a specific side dish, but ultimately, a €3.50 change to the side dish was simply added without any prior explanation or agreement. The cover charge of almost €8 per person was particularly annoying, as it was neither clearly stated in the menu nor adequately communicated. In total, we're talking about almost €80 in additional charges that were never clearly communicated. When I finally went to get the menu again to check if I'd missed something, the waitress came by laughing and condescendingly, saying I didn't need to "look it up" because the prices were the same—and then went on to tell other guests the same thing while they gossiped and laughed at me. Absolutely disrespectful. Another very unpleasant moment: We were asked about wine, and two options were mentioned. One person offered to treat someone. The cheaper house wine was then disparaged, making the person offering it visibly uncomfortable. And as if all that weren't enough: Looking at the negative reviews here, it's noticeable that instead of a simple apology, they usually offer justifications, excuses, and further criticism of the guests. A very resentful and unprofessional attitude that, unfortunately, perfectly matches our experience. Conclusion: Good food isn't enough if guests are treated disrespectfully, prices aren't communicated transparently, and you end up feeling almost ripped off. This was definitely our last visit.

We were looking forward to a lively Christmas party with lots of guests. Our visit was a complete disaster. Items suddenly appeared on the bill that we hadn't ordered – including several place settings for people who couldn't attend due to illness. These place settings weren't listed on the menu, nor were they mentioned beforehand. In addition, we were charged €16 for a credit card payment without any prior notification. The staff was extremely unfriendly, ignored our complaint, and made us feel like a nuisance. The atmosphere was oppressive and unpleasant; we felt uncomfortable throughout our entire visit. We're absolutely certain: We will never return and cannot recommend this restaurant under any circumstances.

Berlin isn't Vienna – that's one of its biggest shortcomings. But here in this restaurant, you can forget that flaw for a moment: because the schnitzel is perfect and the Kaiserschmarrn is divine. This Austrian restaurant has rightly received top praise from the renowned food critic fhau (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung).

We've been going to Nußbaumerin's quite often now and have truly never been disappointed! The Wiener Schnitzel is divine, preceded by the Frittatensuppe (pancake soup) and followed by the Kaiserschmarrn (shredded pancake) for dessert. And then there's the incredibly good, attentive, friendly, and courteous staff—plus the owner herself: what more could you ask for? You feel like you're visiting very good friends. It's not just a meal out, it's a pure experience. It's exactly how it should be.

Very expensive, but authentic Austrian cuisine. If you're lucky, you might meet the owner, who enjoys talking about the history and preparation of her dishes. It's a bit difficult to find gluten-free and dairy-free options there, which is a shame. Therefore, I can only give it a qualified thumbs up.

Very, very good! Almost a perfect evening. There were only minor deductions in the service, nothing exceptionally bad; it could have run a little smoother, just considering the slightly higher priced evening. The food came quickly and was perfect. Very tasty. The manager's wine selection was excellent! Sometimes it took a little too long to refill the glasses, but as I said, she was very strict. Overall, 5/5 anyway – thank you for the lovely evening.

Delicious, good service, cozy - but without a reservation it's brutally difficult to get a seat...

Simply perfect, as always. This time we had a larger family celebration, and the food was fantastic, from the starters to the main courses to the desserts, and of course the drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed everything from the lamb's lettuce to the Wiener schnitzel to the Kaiserschmarren (sweet pancakes). In total, we had three different starters, four different main courses, and several delicious desserts on our individual menus. The service was also fantastic. From ages 4 to 87, everyone left the restaurant satisfied, full, and happy. Thank you so much, Ms. Nußbaumer and team, and see you soon, at the latest during "goose season."

A very nice restaurant, very good service, and good food. In my opinion (I apologize politely), it's 20-30% too expensive. Spinach dumplings with mountain cheese (unfortunately a bit over-roasted) are €22.90, bread dumplings with chanterelles are €26.90... A 0.75-liter bottle of mineral water is €7.90, and coffee is €4.90, which I think is overpriced. - Excellent Kaiserschmarrn!

The best schnitzel in Berlin. Great and friendly service. A cozy atmosphere – simply a great evening.

The reception was typically Berlin-style, gruff, but unfortunately hardly Viennesely charming: We hadn't made a reservation, and the ladies were a bit overwhelmed with a wedding party at 5:15 p.m. That wasn't really the time for the staff to be overworked... When we promised to leave the restaurant before 7:00 p.m. and were allowed to sit down, the waitress reprimanded the 70-year-old guest for a minor awkwardness between the menu and the coat check. We chose "beef roulade like Mom's" and fried chicken bites on lamb's lettuce with crumbled feta cheese. The roulades were (of course) not freshly prepared. Rather, they seemed—about four days old—to have been heated in the microwave. The sauce was of an unprecedentedly cheesy tastelessness and consistency. It's easy to find words: it didn't even attempt to disguise its convenience-based character. The red wine listed separately on the menu as a sauce ingredient was, as the waitress informed us with a connoisseur's air, naturally (!) overcooked. The red cabbage was never allowed to have even a hint of lard or butter, which, as we all know, is what makes it a culinary experience. Overall, the dish was merely cafeteria-quality (university, not senate!). The three pieces of fried chicken were tender, the breadcrumbs thickly applied and baked to a crisp, as is traditional in Austria. The salad was "okay," but also no pinnacle of Austrian culinary art. Its extremely sparingly applied pumpkin seed oil was personally complemented by the Nussbaumer woman with a few strips of oil. How the dry chicken bites are supposed to blend with the Vogerl salad on the guest's palate remains a closely guarded secret of the Wachau region. –– The ambiance is old-fashioned, which, with skillful furnishings and details, could present itself as quaintly Austrian, but stuffy kitsch has taken over: gigantic mirrors in gilded frames, with lobsters crawling in their corners, are everywhere. A crustacean that might not exactly occupy the pride of place in Austrian cuisine, but would still be native to the country today. (Ah, back in the days, blessed Austro-Hungarian Empire, when there was still a free route from Vienna to the Adriatic...) The seating – essential for restaurants – is covered in an unpleasant dark brown plastic material, with large cracks revealing the inner workings of the foam upholstery. Between the tables, there are also high, Corona-proof glass walls – the next pandemic is sure to come, so why dismantle them? The country's typical Schrammel and zither music, a constant blast from a can, tends to distract guests rather than contribute to tranquility and enjoyment of the food. Didn't Mozart also come from this country, which is painstakingly represented culinary-wise here in Prussia by the Nussbaumer woman? We'll refrain from further visits.

The tag line on the website says come hungry and they mean it. The food is genuine Austrian wholesome fare with great personable service to match. There was great advice on the wine choice too, Austrian obviously. The only regret was that the starter and main were so filling i couldn't manage the Kaiserschmarrn, especially as it's for 2. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal though and would recommend this restaurant especially when the weather turns colder and you need warming food.

A very strange atmosphere, with only curtains and uncomfortable lighting in the evenings. The service was very rude and only interested in making money. This was unfortunately noticeable throughout the entire evening. I didn't like the schnitzel at all. The sauce wasn't to my taste at all; in my opinion, any cafeteria sauce would taste better. I will definitely not spend another evening here.

What a disappointment! For a restaurant that presents itself as a “upscale” and demands corresponding prices, this visit was a real letdown. Already when putting the first shock: torn tablecloths (see photos). In einem gehobenen Restaurant in Charlottenburg erwarte ich definitiv mehr als löchrige Tischwäsche, die aussieht, als hätte sie schon bessere Jahrzehnte gesehen. This is simply unprofessional and speaks for a questionable indifference to the guests. The service looked very sales -oriented on me. I had the feeling that additional courses and drinks were continuously offered to us. When two people in our group announced not to drink wine, I found the reaction to be little professional. In my perception, in my perception, I was very quick (probably in the hope of being able to sell a 2nd bottle?) I found the lighting particularly surreal. Like in an interrogation room of the 80s. Kombiniert mit den noch immer vorhandenen Corona-Plexiglastrennwänden zwischen den Tischen entstand für mich eine Atmosphäre, die irgendwo zwischen Impfzentrum und Behördenkantine angesiedelt war. Corona is over, dear Mr. Nussbauer. The kitchen was simply under all the cannon. The sauces in particular were an imposition for me. Tasteless, watery and loveless. Every tasting sauce from the discounter would have had more character for me. The consistency and the bland taste reminded me fatally of canteen meals from the 80s. Requesting such prices for this quality is almost brazen. Conclusion Absolute waste of time and waste of money. Charlottenburg has so many wonderful restaurants to offer. For me, the nut builder is definitely not one of them. Nothing is right here: neither service, nor ambience, nor kitchen.

Be sure to book a table well in advance

The Wiener Schnitzel was a dream. So crispy and delicious! I ordered the Kaiserschmarrn for dessert, which rounded off the evening perfectly. The service was also impeccable!

Attentive and very friendly service, delicious and plentiful food, and an Italian-level espresso.

We were there for a family celebration with six people – and EVERYTHING was simply wonderful! We basically had four different main courses, and they were all absolutely fantastic! Our expectations were exceeded. And then there was the wonderful background music, wonderful.

The best Austrian food I've ever eaten. The atmosphere was wonderfully homely, and the service was courteous and attentive. There's absolutely nothing to complain about.

From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were met with a distinctly unfriendly attitude – apparently simply because we were there with two small children (each 3 years old). We were denied the special menu on the grounds that we were "six people" – even though we were clearly four adults and two small children. Such an interpretation seems not only inflexible but also unfriendly to customers. Even more serious, however, was the general atmosphere: From the waitresses to the owner, we sensed a palpable rejection and coldness. No consideration, no effort to be hospitable – instead, we were treated as if we were unwanted. We felt completely unwelcome in this restaurant. A place we definitely won't return to and wouldn't recommend to anyone – especially not families with children.

Very disappointing experience. The owner and staff were extremely rude. We were given a limited version of the menu with the excuse that our group was too large — even though we were not six people. The treatment we received was unacceptable, and it left a very bad impression. I do not recommend this place. On top of that, the place is not kid-friendly at all — absolutely no empathy or consideration for families.

After unsuccessful attempts to get a table in the past, we finally got our chance to visit Nußbaumerin for dinner with my husband and father-in-law...And what a delightful experience it was! Great food, excellent service, and good vibes. It was so busy in there, but we never once felt we were ignored. Definitely coming again during our next visit to Germany ❤️

Nice waitress and a very nice dining room. We've had better schnitzel and goulash elsewhere, though. Especially since I think you can set the bar pretty high for a real Wiener Schnitzel in an upscale Austrian restaurant ;)

My brother and I had an excellent time visiting Nußbaumerin. The food, atmosphere, and service were very good, and it showed off the best of Austrian cooking. Johanna was superb and really accommodating with my nut allergy. Johanna and her team made us feel right at home. Thank you very much and we’ll be back when we’re next in Berlin!

Everything was just perfect, from the delicious boiled beef soup to the best schnitzel and the most delicious potato salad I've ever had at an Austrian restaurant in Berlin, to the pancakes with apricots. Not to mention the good wine and the incredibly witty, attentive, and friendly waitresses. I'll be back. P.S. The two complainers 😀😃

An upscale restaurant with a rustic atmosphere, very, very tasty overall, and one of the best potato salads I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying! Highly recommended.

The restaurant is nice, but I thought it would be better based on the reviews and that they are a bib gourmand restaurant. My girlfriend and I love Austrian food so we were so excited to try this restaurant. My girlfriend and I ordered bread, the Backhendl, the Rinderfiletspitzen(Stroganoff), and the Kaiserschmarrn. I’d recommend skipping the bread, they only gave 2 pieces for 2 people and the bread was alright. It would be one thing if the bread was free and they only gave 2 pieces, but when you pay for the bread, it’s just kind of disappointing and it doesn’t leave a good impression. As for the Rinderfiletspitzen(Stroganoff) and the Backhendl, they were good, but nothing to write home about. The Kaiserschmarrn was alright, but it didn’t really have much flavor. I really wanted to like this place more, but unfortunately the price does not equal the quality. I really thought this was going to be a special restaurant, but it just felt like a standard Austrian restaurant.

The food was quite good. You could get a table even without a reservation. It's a bit noisy, cramped and warm but you can sit there quite well.

Yesterday evening I visited this restaurant for the first time and I was thoroughly impressed. Here you get a Wiener Schnitzel that you couldn't wish for better. It was the tastiest schnitzel of my life! Here you get quality for the price. I recommend this restaurant to everyone. The food, ambience and service were great. I would love to eat here again. We wanted to have a really good time and really enjoyed the evening at Nußbaumerin's: It started with an excellent boiled beef brawn, continued with a perfectly prepared, generous portion of Wiener Schnitzel (plus a wonderful potato and cucumber salad) and was crowned with a wonderfully fluffy Kaiserschmarrn. An extremely competent, always very attentive and authentic server guided us through the evening. From entering to leaving the very tastefully designed rooms, you can tell that the owner leaves absolutely nothing to chance. We felt very comfortable here every second and would like to thank you for the excellent hospitality! We would love to come back and are already looking forward to the next time...

We went there for lunch and WOW! Every single thing we tried was amazing! And service was so good. Cocktails as well were extremely on point!

There were eight of us in the Nußbaumerin and spent a very relaxing evening there. All dishes (starters, main courses and desserts) were great, but the absolute highlight was the schnitzel with a fantastic breading. Perfect! The service was very attentive and humorous. I would make a small dent for the wine prices, but they didn't dampen our enjoyment.

Been here again for 12 years. Great service. Extremely nice boss and team. Definitely worth a visit. Next time again.

I was at Nussaumerin's on Monday evening. All tables were occupied. (And that on Monday) Unfortunately we only had reservations for two people. When a third party, a friend, arrived unannounced as a surprise, there was no more space. There was another spot on the bench between our table for two and the table next door with a small aisle in between. When he sat down there, the owner pointed out to him very flatly, loudly and embarrassingly that this wasn't possible. There was no solution-oriented suggestion and even after 10 minutes the managing director didn't stop. OK, it's your restaurant. I won't go there anymore. I thought the Austrian would be more professional. I think she can only do ROB. Oh, the schnitzel was Austrian good. The beer is normal. Afterwards we enjoyed a delicious Lübzer somewhere else with very friendly and relaxed service...

Just wow! Everything was right here! Great service, very good and authentic Austrian cuisine and then a Gösser on tap. This can make me very happy very quickly 😍

Well-kept furnishings (furniture, lighting, glass or acrylic panels to allow more privacy, seasonal decoration, porcelain, table linen - everything impeccable), attentive and friendly service and very tasty food (also good vegetarian options). Pleasant, positive lasting experience. It's a shame (although understandable for such a personally run restaurant) that it's closed on weekends.

We received excellent advice and service from the friendly team at Nussbaumerin, as well as from the owner herself. The food and wine are excellent. The crispy roast chicken is pure indulgence. The zander and Wiener schnitzel are also excellent. We were invited by the Praxisdrucksachen shop, so thank you very much for that. We'd be happy to come back.

The tone was out of line - landlady barks at guests without justification! Due to the BVG strike, the number of reserved seats had been halved. My colleague wanted to call to let them know. Unfortunately, no one answered the phone during the day. Therefore, she adjusted the number by email. However, since management apparently doesn't read emails, the landlady wasn't informed of the change in the number of people. She made this clear to the arriving guests! Of course, it's not okay not to reduce the size of a large group. But even that wouldn't be a reason to yell at a guest like that. There's a clear lack of professionalism here! We ate there anyway. The food was beyond reproach. The dishes (all solid Austrian home cooking) were attractively presented and tasted acceptable. It wasn't outstanding, but still delicious. Unfortunately, the evening was further marred by the poor service. The waitress often disappeared for long periods, so we often sat with empty glasses. What was particularly annoying was that the server repeatedly reached across the table while serving – an unpleasant experience, especially for those sitting outside. Here, too, there was a lack of professionalism. Overall, it left a bitter aftertaste – despite the decent food. Due to the poor service, I personally wouldn't visit the restaurant again. There are far better restaurants in Berlin...

Probably the best Wiener Schnitzel in Berlin and a Kaiserschmarrn that is certainly one of the best in the world, a dream 👍💪🙏

Great authentic Austrian restaurant with very attentive service.

If you are looking for an extraordinary culinary experience in Berlin, you should definitely stop by here. Our evening here was not only a delight for the palate, but also a master class in hospitality - an experience that we will talk about for a long time. The welcome from Ms. Johanna Nussbaumer herself was warm and full of charm. A hostess with heart and soul who knows how to not only welcome her guests, but also make them feel like they have arrived in a very special place. In terms of food, our evening began with a delicious lamb's lettuce - or, as they say in Austria, a bird's lettuce. Fresh, perfectly seasoned and the ideal start to the highlight of the evening: the original Wiener Schnitzel. This feast was accompanied by excellent wines, which Ms. Nussbaumer recommended to us with a lot of expertise and enthusiasm. The icing on the cake of our evening was undoubtedly the dessert. We had to pre-order it right from the start because it is difficult to prepare - and the wait was more than worth it. The Salzburger Nockerl were a poem! An airy, sweet masterpiece that also provided a special moment of wonder and joy at the table. This restaurant is much more than just an excellent address for Austrian cuisine. It is a place where cuisine and hospitality form a perfect symbiosis. My business partners were here last year and were keen to return - and all I can say is: what a great decision! One thing is certain for me: A visit to Berlin without dinner at Ms. Nussbaumer's? Now unimaginable! An unreserved recommendation for everyone who not only wants to eat great food, but also wants to experience an unforgettable evening.

Very very great restaurant. Not only is the food and wine selection fantastic, the service is also great. Unfortunately, something like this is a rarity in the catering industry these days. Reservations are strongly recommended, otherwise you have very little chance of getting a table.

There were four of us and we ate well for €200. To pay we asked to separate the bill. The Nussbaumer said that this was not possible. That's why the employees aren't paid and that we can only divide by 4. I had never experienced this before... The owner didn't care about our dissatisfaction with this poor service 😥 she was probably fed up. The four of us from the catering industry will not be returning to this shop, where guests can choose

I'm happy to pay 29.90 euros for a schnitzel (side note: the cranberry sauce costs another 3.50 euros extra and the 5-cent Styrofoam food box also costs another 1 euro (LOL), but ok..), EXCEPT if I - like here - - being looked at annoyed because I want to order food in a restaurant at a quarter to nine; - order a bottle of water, ask 15 minutes later whether we can get the bottle of water, and then have it explained that - at a table with 10 (in words: ten) people - there is already a half-full bottle of water at the other end; Of course, only to be annoyed that the guest really wants another bottle of water. Optional suggestion for improvement: If the guest says politely at 8:45 p.m. that he would like to order Kaiserschmarrn later, it's just kind of silly to say at 9:45 p.m.: "Sorry, it's too late now, the kitchen will close in fifteen minutes. But I'd be happy next time." Which next time?

An all around fantastic evening. We were in the restaurant with our son - 2.5 years old - and it was great. The whole team is absolutely friendly, open, forward-looking and competent. We felt comfortable and will definitely come back. And by the way, the food is excellent. I know this because I feel like I ate EVERYTHING! Thanks to the whole team!
