Nußbaumerin in Berlin

Unfortunately very bad service. After a specific reservation including the time and number of people, this email came back with the photo. You think: A bit unfriendly, but that would probably complete the reservation. We almost went there today but called again first. Lo and behold, we didn't have a reservation because we should have responded to the email again. Unfortunately, that's not in the email in question. We are very disappointed, especially how they handled this disappointing situation on the phone. Regrettable and needs improvement.

We arrived in Berlin a few days ago and we checked for a good place to eat. We quickly found this very praised austrian restaurant, but as with any good restaurants, we should’ve booked in advance with some time before. Long story short, we wrote an email asking to be called if someone cancelled, and the next day, we received a call from Johanna, telling us that we are lucky as someone cancelled. The place was above what we expected, with delicious food and great selection of wines and beers. Johanna and her team are making you feel as you were in their home, having a great time and eating exceptional food. We can’t wait to come here next time.

Absolutely recommended, we had no complaints whatsoever, from the reservation to the reception to the food itself, everything was top!

The staff has no respect for the customer. All sorts of anecdotes were not funny but insulting. In addition, the service took a long time. The food was greasy. Unfortunately we were deeply disappointed.

Service and ambience are absolutely top! When it comes to Schnitzel, you have to be honest and say that the Nussbaumer plays in the top league, but not in the Champions League. The breading was very greasy for some reason. But potato salad is great. The price is also higher because the meat comes from a good source.

The price/performance ratio is ok, but not exceptional. The staff seem to feel superior to the customer and appear very “robust”. The ambience is good, but very cramped. I don't find the transparent plastic panes between the tables that attractive, but they can free up space. However, I don't like that.

One of the few remaining really excellent restaurants in the area from the moment you step in to the last bite of Kaiserschmarren!! Such a lovely service and welcoming team. Price of the three course menu totally reasonable for the outstanding quality and service

The food is simply outstanding. We had tafelspitz and veal schnitzel with chanterelle sauce - so delicious! Great service and prices. A must try in Berlin!

It is well known that the Austrians are hospitable, but here the landlady goes one better: she is authentic and honest and if you criticize something, you will not be looked at askance, but you will be surprised with a generous gesture. Thank you for the wonderful Wiener Schnitzel and the cross-fried pike perch and the wine recommendation was also excellent. Where can you find a restaurant where a cheaper wine is recommended than the one you had in mind, in the belief that the guest will like it better? Very cozy, authentic Austrian restaurant - the quality of the food and service is good. For me the best Wiener Schnitzel in Berlin, but since last week I've also been raving about the Vogerlsalat with chanterelles :))

Unfortunately it is not possible to give 6 stars - but that would be appropriate. This is what a Wiener Schnitzel should be like, wafer-thin veal, prepared in lard with a really good breading - a dream and then the highlight Salzburger Nockerln, whipped up by hand according to a traditional recipe, an absolute dream, please keep it up... we'll be happy to come back. Great Austrian restaurant near Ku’damm. We had a great original Wiener Schnitzel and fried chicken. The service from Styria was very professional and gave us excellent advice. Overall, a great evening, we can recommend the Nußbaumerin for a special occasion.

One of the best veal schnitzels I've had, and not just in Berlin! The prices you pay are equivalent to those near Mitte, but the quality is tip-top and the portion size is much larger! I basically got two schnitzels for the price of one and I ate every last bite because it was fantastic. I washed it down with a Märzen (vom Fass) and even though I was stuffed, I'm a sucker for dessert and couldn't help but order the Kaiserschmarrn for two (to be fair, I had a date). And oh mein Gott was it worth needing to lie down afterward. It was one of the fluffiest, creamiest, most delicious Kaiserschmarrns I've had, and that's saying something. And they make it fresh, so do note that you need to give the server a heads up as it takes around 20m to make. Speaking of, the service is suuuper nice. They're very down-to-earth, friendly, mid-southern German-dialect-speaking ladies, including the owner Frau Nußbaumer! The only nitpick I have is that we had to sit near the bar where the service rushed in and out, but that's quite frankly my fault because I didn't make a reservation, which you'll definitely need on a Friday night. Overall, very happy with this place and it's definitely going on the list to visit again. Bis dann!

Great food, friendly service, but all the tables were very close together, some separated from each other with plexiglass and only artificial flowers were a drawback for us.

The two of us were guests on a Friday evening and we immediately felt very comfortable. Great food, perfect schnitzels and side dishes. Kaiserschmarren at its best. But what we liked even more than the food itself was the friendly, warm and very personal hospitality of the whole team. If you want an evening to feel good, you're in good hands here. A very clear recommendation from me.

Outstandingly good in every respect. FANTASTIC food cooked with top ingredients. Delicious beer, great wine, warm and knowledgeable service. The chocolate cake and the apricot dumplings go down in the personal Guinness Book.

Many thanks to the Nussbaumerin team. We had a very nice evening with friends. Delicious food, everything fresh and delicious, a (few) good bottles of wine from the Wachau, all rounded off by the friendly and warm service of the team. Recommendation: Tafelspitz! or a schnitzel for those who like salad (that's what was recommended to us, and it was spot on), so THANK YOU!! We'd be happy to come back if you reserve a spot for us again.

Hello, During my last visit to the “Nußbaumerin” restaurant I had the opportunity to try the much-celebrated fried chicken. It is important for me to emphasize that the flavors of the dish were quite convincing. The chicken itself was presented in a crispy breading, which unfortunately turned out a little too dry. The potato salad, on the other hand, was a real treat for the palate, despite its somewhat soft consistency. As far as the service is concerned, I regret to say that the manner of the staff did not quite meet my expectations. A certain distance and a touch of arrogance were noticeable, which somewhat spoiled the otherwise cozy atmosphere of the restaurant. I am sure that with its obvious potential and ability to create tasty food, the restaurant will also be able to improve the quality of service to ensure a completely satisfactory experience for all guests. We had reserved a table at 8 p.m., were there a little earlier and were told by a lady who was obviously supposed to welcome the guests that the table was not yet free, despite there being obviously several free tables in the restaurant. The food was okay but not exceptionally good, as one might assume given the high prices. The service was a lot better a few years ago and we only got a small table for cats despite having a reservation. There is a different way to create a beautiful atmosphere You don't have to do it again. Update: After replying to my review, I am even more convinced that a visit is no longer worth it. There was no real apology or hope for a more pleasant visit in the future.

Original Austrian cuisine in the middle of Berlin. If you were lucky, you got a nice little table right by the open window. Service was very attentive and the food was a dream.

Very lovely waitresses and a fabulous meal. I can highly recommend both the goulash and the Wiener Schnitzel as well as the Kaiserschmarren! The schnitzel was served with a potato and cucumber salad that was breathtakingly good. However, the freshly baked bread as a starter was the highlight!

We ate in this restaurant for the fourth time a week ago. But this was the last time. ...Inattentive waiters, no enjoyment like before... We reserved by email. We were not told that our table was only reserved for two hours (this was not the case during our last visits and we were always able to end the evening relaxing). We were only told this after the welcome. A short time later, another waitress said this again casually and with a grin that we “only had 1 hour and 45 minutes left”. To our waitress: 1. After ordering our food, a bread basket was simply put in front of us. Without mentioning whether it was a greeting from the kitchen, etc. It should have been mentioned that there was liver sausage in the pot that was handed out with the basket. This would mean that people who eat a meat-free diet would be better served. 2. I asked for spaetzle as a side dish with my dish (Mom's beef roulade), which our waitress said wouldn't be a problem. However, my dish came to the table as printed on the menu - I kindly pointed this out to her. The following answer: "Oh yes, I knew that something was ordered differently. But I didn't remember what." ...lack of attention with a rather embarrassing answer. Then why don't you just ask again? Something like that shouldn't happen in a restaurant with fine dining like this! 3. When we asked for the bill at the end of our two hours, we had to wait twenty minutes because all the waiters, including the boss, rearranged tables several times quite loudly and annoyingly and repositioned guests. So we sat in the restaurant longer than we were actually allowed to. We then felt pretty fooled. Then why do you make the time specifications? For enjoyment: 1. The sauce for my beef roulade was absolutely not a red wine sauce like on the menu, but a gravy. This didn't go well with the roulade at all. I knew the dish from before and it was a real red wine sauce. Even if it was a mistake, you don't pay little. Then you expect the right dishes and good taste, as stated on the menu. 2. Wonderful Stiegl beer from a private brewery was replaced some time ago by a poor-tasting Gösser (belongs to a large corporation and is a mass-produced beer). It doesn't taste good at all. You should try beforehand whether you can offer it to guests with high expectations of enjoyment if you have previously served a good-tasting beer. This was the last visit. A pity. Fortunately, there are other good places to stop for refreshments in Berlin.

There are very tasty Austrian dishes here. Especially the goose at Christmas time is a dream. The Kaiserschmarrn is one of the best in the DACH region. The ambience is chic but a bit conservative for my taste. The boss always greets the guests personally, which is very attentive. However, we have also noticed that she treats her staff a bit harshly. The service is otherwise very attentive and nice.

It was our third time at the restaurant, again for a birthday (i.e. the first two visits were good), but there were three of us instead of the four we had booked. We were greeted with a “It’s bad for the restaurant industry.” When we spontaneously said that the fourth person was sick, instead of remaining silent she thought it best to insist and say that because of that there was time to cancel. At the table, when asked whether one could have a portion of vegetables with the main course, the answer was "No, I don't have any vegetables." We came up with the idea of ​​ordering wine ourselves. No wine list was offered, I was in a hurry to leave the place by now. We asked for a bottle of Grüner Veltliner - it wasn't the "house" Grüner Veltliner (under €30) that was offered from the menu, but a different one. But that didn't exist, so a third one was offered. Everything always without a card. So not the service you would want in this price category. The food was also very disappointing. A pity.

Pretty pricey and you need a reservation. The audience are 50+ age. I’d say it’s great for people who have never had this food. The schnitzel is good and would say the best out of what we’ve ordered. As a berliner who’s been to Austria, I’d say this is a decent but not crazy good schnitzel. The goulash was too salty and also I missed the tenderness from being slowcooked. A bit chewy. Rinder Roulade was ok. Nothing special and very similar to the goulash. Better than the goulash though. Overall a pretty pricey experience that was not super worth the money. Service was good

RUDE OWNER, OTHERWISE FINE We got involved in conversation with our dining companion, and ended up arriving fifteen minutes late for our reservation. The owner lambasted us for being late and said we were lucky that our table was still available. Two things: 1. She had my phone number, she could have called if she was concerned that we wouldn’t show. 2. Not a single customer arrived after we did, so it’s not like she was losing business in any case. Apart from that, the food was tasty and our server was attentive and courteous. Hint for the owner: people are more likely to come back if you are polite and friendly.

Hervorragendes Essen (wir hatten die Rouladen), guter Wein und ein sehr höflicher und zuvorkommender Service. Das Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen, wir würden bei einem Aufenthalt in Berlin auch jederzeit wiederkommen. Wir empfehlen eine vorherige Tischreservierung.

Eng bestuhlt, aber in jener Lage verständlich, dass Umsatz her muss. 2 Stunden-Sitzungen mittlerweile üblich und für uns zu zweit ausreichend. Schnitzel-Menü incl. Wein war von sehr guter Qualität und Geschmack. Zeit zwischen Hauptgericht und Dessert zu kurz, da wäre eine Frage wertvoll gewesen. Sehr freundlicher Service. Preislich absolut angemessen. Österreichischer Charme incl.

Waren unter der Woche dort und man sollte definitiv reservieren, ist ein sehr gut besuchtes Restaurant. Leckere österreichische Küche mit sehr guten Portionen. Trotz einem Michelin Stern sind die Preise nicht übertrieben und man bekommt leckere und gute Portionen. Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant ist eine gemütliche und entspannte. Das Service Personal ist sich sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Kommen gerne wieder.

Wir wollten hier unser Jubiläum zu zweit feiern. Das Ambiente des Restaurants ist wunderbar, stilvolle Einrichtung, angenehme Musik. Wir wurden nett begrüßt und uns wurde die Garderobe abgenommen. Bestellung, Aperitif, Vorspeise, alles bestens. Das gereichte Brot wirklich lecker. Dann mussten wir auf uns aufmerksam machen, weil wir den zur Vorspeise bestellten Wein vermissten. Danach haben wir sehr viel gewartet, während rundherum Gäste (evtl. Stammgäste) deutlich aufmerksamer und öfter bedient wurden. Das Essen war wirklich ausgezeichnet, ausnahmslos. Allerdings warteten wir auf einen bestelltes 2. Glas Wein ebenso wie auf die Möglichkeit, die Speisekarte nochmals zu erhalten, um ein Dessert auszuwählen. Die Karte lag dann noch weitere 20 min. bei uns, bis wir bestellen konnten. Wir waren insgesamt 3h im Restaurant und haben viel Zeit mit Warten verbracht. Gastfreundlichkeit ist anders. Die Verabschiedung fiel ebenfalls recht kühl aus. Wie schade, wir hatten uns auf den Abend wirklich gefreut und das Essen war vorzüglich.

Wow sehr schöne Einrichtung urig,edel und trotzdem stimmig, nettes Personal und leckeres Essen machten diesen Abend rund.

Bin jetzt schon mehrfach hier gewesen und habe durchweg positive Erfahrungen gemacht. Sowohl die Bedingung ist sehr professionell als auch eine sehr leckere Küche. Frisch zubereitet und geschmacklich sehr lecker. Preislich würde ich es in eine obere Mittelklasse einordnen. Gehe immer wieder gern hier her. Wichtig ist vorher zu bestellen, da die Plätze in der Regel schnell vergriffen sind, da das Restaurant keine riesige Fläche hat.

Ein schönes Restaurant mit toller Atmosphäre. Sehr zünftige, fleischlastige Speisekarte, dennoch gibt es für vegetarische Gäste genug leckere Alternativen. Alle Gerichte waren sehr gut und qualitativ hochwertig. Die Getränkeauswahl lässt keine Wünsche offen. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ein Besuch lohnt sich allemal. Fantastisches Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis

Ein Traum von österreichischer Küche, Die Rote Beete Suppe und danach Mamas Rinderrouladen was will man mehr. Da kann man so richtig abtauchen und einen schönen Abend haben.

Besser 14 Tage vorher reservieren, da gut ausgebucht. Elegantes Gasthaus mit hervorragender Küche und gut geschult in Personal, für mich bisher das beste Wienerschnitzel der Stadt. Man sitzt leider eher recht beengt und für große Leute nicht geeignet, Gemütlichkeit nicht gegeben. Daher nur 3 Sterne, Küche hat 5 verdient, Preise sind entsprechend und fair.

Wir waren als kleine Hochzeitsgesellschaft da und vollauf begeistert von dem guten Service und dem leckeren Essen! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und freuen uns auf die nächsten Besuche🫶🏻

Frau Wirtin NUSSBAUMERIN bitte zwoa Schnitzel und a Bia!!! Verdientermaßen alle Sterne für das beste Wiener Schnitzel der Stadt mit Erdäpfelsalat. Gösser im Steinzeugkrug - hervorragend. Der Kaiserschmarrn allein ist einen Besuch wert, der dann mitnichten der einzige bleiben wird. Dies alles in charmantem Ambiente - Im "Spiegelsaal" grüne Tapeten zu nussbaumfarbener Holzvertäfelung. Die Nussbaumerin liegt direkt in Büronähe und wir kehren hier immer wieder gern ein. Der Gastraum ist wunderschön gestaltet, eine kleine, aber feine und gut durchdachte Karte. Hervorragendes Essen und der professionelle und aufmerksame Service ist eine Wohltat. Das ist gelebte Gastfreundschaft.

Das Essen ist jeden Cent wert! Die Tafelspitzsuppe mit Grießnockerln war sehr gut, das Boeuf Stroganoff mit gebratenen Spätzle war hervorragend und der Marilleknödel war einfach traumhaft. Die Weinpfehlubg war gelungen, der Marilleschnaps war spitze. Toller Service: Freundlich, aufgeschlossen und zügig. Das Ambiente war - dafür, dass man direkt an der Straße saß - sehr gemütlich. Wer ein Restaurant mit österreichischer Küche sucht, das auch gehobeneren Ansprüchen gerecht wird, dem sei die Nußbaumerin wärmstens empfohlen.

Es war ein wirklich schöner Abend, fast schon Nacht und wir haben trotzdem noch etwas gutes zu essen bekommen, Gulasch. Eine richtig gute Truppe mit schlimm viel Alkohol und 🤭😁

Sehr gute, österreichische Küche. Es gibt nicht nur Wiener Schnitzel und Kaiserschmarren, sondern auch (wenn die Küche nicht gerade überlastet ist) Salzburger Nockerl.

Fantastisch restaurant, waar je heerlijke oostenrijkse gerechten kan eten. Schnitzel was erg lekker, en de gefrituurde kip ook! Fijne nette bediening, en het restaurant ziet mooi uit van binnen. Als dessert hebben we genoten van heerlijke verse apfelstrüdel.

Als Österreicherin kann ich nur bestätigen, wie authentisch es hier ist. Fühle mich jedes Mal wie in meiner Heimat und komme gerne immer wieder. Ganz besonders, wenn mich Heimweh plagt und ich Gusto auf ein „echtes Wienerschnitzel“ (ohne Soße) habe.

Es war wieder ein Traum bei der Nussbaumerin speisen zu dürfen! Plätzchen am Tresen war hervorragend! Service und Chefin sehr freundlich und kompetent! Lecker Gösser Bier und ne super Weinkarte!
