Such a nice outdoor seating area and very friendly staff! We got a couple dishes to share and enjoyed most of them a lot

It's a baby-friendly restaurant: you can park your stroller inside or outside. There's no loud music or noise. It's close to the canal, which makes it easy to access. It would be nice if they installed a changing table.

In my opinion, the best Indian restaurant... with a fantastic variety of delicious and exceptionally spiced dishes, very friendly service, and a great atmosphere... both inside and outside on warm days and nights, quiet and idyllic, right next to the park and canal... and really good prices, too.

We spontaneously stopped by for dinner during a weekend trip to Berlin. We had reserved a table online beforehand. There's a large selection of Indian dishes. We had the chicken tikka masala. We really enjoyed it. Great value for money. The drinks are also very reasonably priced. We would go back anytime.

The lamb curry was not nice: old pieces of meat and the sauce isn't tasty

The chicken biryani is very good! The chicken in every meal is very tender. Aperol Spritz very well mixed. It's also very calm in the street, so stirring outside is not a problem.

Fantastic time at this place. Best service and real authentic Indian food that is so difficult to find in Germany. Tastes like the real Indian (english) that I’m used to 😆 made fresh food specifically for us that they didn’t have on the menu!

I love the Simran. The staff is super friendly and always tries to make children and families feel welcome. It's not uncommon for us to meet acquaintances from the neighborhood there by chance. I tried different dishes and liked them all. Clear case for 5 stars❤️

Das Restaurant ist eher altbacken, die Gegend ruhig, erstaunlich wenig Touristen, obwohl der Kiez beliebt ist. Das Essen sehr gut, es sieht sauber aus und das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Preise moderat, klare Empfehlung

Hair in food. Update: I have to say, it was good... 1st plural, hair! An unbelievable number of them in the take-away meal. 2. Even if it wasn't hair, it was bristles from a brush, which doesn't make things any better because it could be animal hair... 3. Lying to make yourself look better is not good (related to her answer) 4. You'd better have your cooling device seals replaced quickly before the health department comes and takes a look at the matter (no, I didn't call them, they'll come on their own) 5. Go to the babu restaurant and have a look around. P.s: I have now reduced the 2 stars in service to one. This means they would now have a 6 as their grade in the school system. I would think about whether a restaurant is the right job for her. Greetings

I’d say this could be the worst Indian restaurant in Berlin, and there is a lot of competition to get the crown. The food was bland and not tasty. Really a complete nightmare twist on Indian food. The Naan bread was acrid and particularly revolting ! Amazing that they get away with this rubbish. Service is no better. We were asked to move to another table while we were still eating in order to accommodate a bigger group of guests.

Highly recommended. Such a great and lovely service team here. We celebrated our grandpa's birthday. The food came quickly, is inexpensive and almost everything is homemade. You are also right on the canal and opposite a park. Gladly again.

I loved! It was very rich. In the end I think I can't get up. I would recommend the butter chicken 🎀🩰✨🌸☁️ The atmosphere was very pleasant and welcoming. In front there is a park and nearby there is an activity on the river. 🎀🩰✨🌸☁️ The service was excellent, the lady who served us attended to us regularly and they gave us some homemade juices. 🎀🩰✨🌸☁️

Beautiful, calm, and quick. Classic indian flavors with a Northern European style base curry base (strong coriander, cumin, little less turmeric I think than what you see in Carribean curry bases). Actually spicy, if you like spicy curry. I would bet a good conversation could even get you "make me sweat" spicy if you have an Asian or Spicy-American taste. Also, tons of veg and vegan options, but the meat dishes are great as well. Enjoy!

I ordered garlic naan and normal naan and they gave us bread that was packaged filled with preservatives. Very very disappointing to spent 11€ on naans that was even worse than store bought bread. Also had a very sour taste and couldn’t even finish it.

I ordered through uber. Unfortunately for €14 there were only 6 very small pieces of chicken (see photo). The sauce was also quite bland in taste, but not oversalted. Garlic naan was chewy on the bottom and difficult to chew. The delivery time was completely ok. Edit: Now a screenshot of evidence for the nonsense answer. And yes, it's the same store with the same address.

We ate at Simran for the first time on the occasion of our 16th wedding anniversary. We were very satisfied. Friendly service and advice, as there was a lot we didn't know. We were very pleasantly surprised when we were presented with a bouquet of flowers with congratulations. We will come back and definitely recommend Simran. Keep it up!

I ORDERED GOA SHORBA. NOT ENOUGH THAT I HAD TO WAIT HALF AN ETERNITY, I RECEIVED A THIN LIQUID TOMATO SOUP RICH IN FAT EYES. VISUALLY FAR AWAY FROM WHAT WAS ON THE MENU. A SHRIMP IS NOT EVEN CUT BUT SMASHED. AFTER MY COMPLAINT, THE CONDITION SAID IT HAD TO BE SO🤣. NEVER AGAIN!

A typical Indian restaurant with delicious food and fair prices. A family business where the woman who does the service is enchanting. Outside you have a view of the hustle and bustle of the Elsensteg and Wildenbruchpark on the canal.

It was our first time there and we felt very welcome. The service was very good: fast, courteous and friendly. The menu is very varied, chicken, lamb, vegetarian, there was something for each of us. I’m a Brit and I love an Indian curry! I was told by a few friends here in Berlin that it’s not the best place in the world to find a good Indian curry (they clearly had too many bad experiences previously) but after seeing some good reviews about Simran I wanted to give it a try - and it didn’t disappoint. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. There was a good selection of vegan options too which was great for me! I’ve been back a few times now with other friends and it’s consistently been good. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Indian food.
