Shoo Loong Kan Hot Pot in Frankfurt am Main

Dinner for four, have been there before, good food, but a franchise with the same name in Berlin had more choice of ingredients for hotpot. A fun place to come with the group of friends.

The food was OK but overpriced. The regular employees were all very friendly. But the senior aunt was extremely unfriendly and rude to us. It doesn't work at all

We made a reservation online and were seated immediately at the appropriate time. The entrance is still on Kaiserstrasse through a side door with "Xiaolongkan Hotpot" written on it. The reservation is valid for 2 hours, and due to its widespread popularity, the service also ensures that this is adhered to. We were there for the first time and we asked about it in a friendly manner, and then we explained how it works in an equally friendly manner. We ordered the “a bit spicy” chili broth, the tomato broth and the match winner of the evening, the mushroom broth. The medium-hot version of the chili broth is for diehards. We ordered shrimp, seasoned beef, chicken and rolled beef as well as chrysanthemum leaves, Chinese cabbage and shrimp dumplings (top!). After the initial helplessness at the sauce buffet, the friendly waitress quickly mixed and served us some. Then the soup feast began and it was great! The broth was topped up regularly because some of it evaporated during the boiling process. The four of us and because we were obviously extremely greedy, we paid 180 EUR with drinks and tips We would love to come back!

Insanely delicious and authentic food! My partner and I had a real “wow” experience at this restaurant in a long time. The restaurant is on the 1st floor and the entrance is therefore a little difficult to find, but once we arrived everything was perfect - very nice service, everything was explained to us in detail and things were also recommended (be sure to have one of the two sauces mixed, as recommended), very authentic decor and lots of special and unusual ingredients to choose from. Everything we had tasted really delicious and overall it was a real taste experience that we hadn't had in a long time. We can recommend the restaurant 100% and would be happy to come back!

We ate HotPot for the first time and absolutely loved it! The waitress took so much time with us: she explained everything to us, took us to the buffet and showed us how to put together a delicious sauce for dipping. Ordering via the iPad was totally uncomplicated with her help, and she even double-checked to see if anything was missing - really attentive! The service was lightning fast, and the food was simply amazing. This explosion of flavor in the mouth was overwhelming. We haven't eaten so well in a long time! A big thank you to the entire team – we will definitely be back!

We had a lovely evening there. It's worth reserving a table, otherwise there may be nothing available. It's a good location right next to the main train station. As vegetarians, we still had a good selection. The slightly spicy hotpot is sufficient for people who don't eat very spicy food.

I had my New Years Eves dinner here with a group of people I met for the first time. We had great vegan options to choose from, a lot of vegetables and Tofu and noodles. The broth was very delicious. Also the Lady serving us was very friendly and patient with us. I dream of a nice handsome man who will one day take me out for dinner here.

It used to be our favorite hotpot restaurant in Frankfurt until now. We ordered the mushroom platter and realized that there are molds at the bottom of the basket only after we finished🤮If you plan to visit then be careful of anything comes with a basket.

Nice service, very authentic, very tasty

The atmosphere is beautifully decorated and you can feel the Chinese flair. You also feel the breeze when you are accompanied to the wrong table. In addition, it is sometimes claimed that there are no alternative tables available even though other guests are seated under similar conditions, indicating unequal treatment of reservations. In such cases, attempts are made to justify the situation with excuses.

Great evening, warm service, super delicious food

It was famous, so I visited for the first time, and even for Koreans, the flavor of the marinara was spicy, but the magic kept coming,,,🥢 It's a bit pricey, but the quality of the vegetables and meat was good! The conclusion is delicious!🤗

I'm totally thrilled. I was there for the second time with friends, the food is delicious, the service is exemplary and the ambience transports me to a completely different world. We'll come back and look forward to it.

We got mix soup, spicy and bone. Both were delicious. Not recommended if you can’t handle spicy. Good quality & wide range of meat selection.

I have eaten at four Xiaolongkan restaurants in Europe, and this one is the most average. Both Maodu and Huangthroat are quite toothsome. The price is not the affordable price in Germany. If you are confused, you can go to Dusseldorf to eat.

I visit China very often and have visited this restaurant very often. Now you don't need to fly to China to eat xiao long kan hotpot. The restaurant is at least as good as in China. You don't have to be able to speak Chinese either. The staff is very friendly and helpful. All dishes are always absolutely fresh. I've never had a reason to complain and I'm very picky. Above all, I attach great importance to cleanliness and hygiene. Even looking into the kitchen didn't give me any concerns. There are no compromises for me. I can recommend this restaurant without hesitation.

The place was nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and they gave good advice. One point of criticism, however, is that the prices on site are significantly higher than on the website. The experience is worth it but you would have to specify it correctly so that you can adjust to it and consider whether it is worth spending. Delicious Hot Pot place, authentic and recommended!!!

Hot Pot… right at the train station in Frankfurt. We knew this specialty from Shanghai. We are happy that we discovered the XiaoLongKan Restaurant. It's great fun to eat here with friends for a few hours. You will be explained and shown how it works. The ingredients are super fresh. The service is top. If you want to experience a different kind of “fondue”, this is the right place.

It was very tasty. I ordered too much because I couldn't estimate how much we would eat. The ingredients came quickly. The waitress was nice and gave us advice, but was quite pushy. We couldn't mix the sauces as we wanted and kept coming to ask if everything was ok. That was meant nicely, but something disturbed us during the conversation. Once I was overcharged for pasta, but that wasn't so bad, but it shouldn't happen too often.

Super nice service person who explained everything to us in detail. The food was also very tasty and there was something for everyone! You can pay by card or cash. In total we spent around €40 per person (including tip) and we were all definitely very full.

We reserved a table for 4 at 7:30pm. We arrived and waited for 20 min without being seated, so we ended up leaving and going to another restaurant. The decoration and environment feels like you're in China, but a total waste of time!

It was an experience worth it! Do it again? Maybe again in many years. It's very expensive for not fresh ingredients. Unfortunately, because of the soups, everything tastes the same in the end, but it tastes good! The service was very nice and helpful, unfortunately in the end they realized that they wanted to get rid of us because we weren't even allowed to order dessert.

Absolutely legendary... The two of us were there and we'll come back any time. We had the “Hotpot” for 2 people and 1x each of the finely and very thinly sliced ​​lamb rolls and 2x Wagyu. 1x the Australian Wagyu and 1x the Japanese Wagyu. The taste of the meat is absolutely amazing! I actually ate a slice of Japanese Wagyu raw and it was awesome!! Be it the Wagyu or the lamb and the price-performance ratio is more than reasonable. About 200g of Australian Wagyu cost €28 and about 200g of Japanese Wagyu cost €58. For me personally it's a very good and fair price when you consider that in a steakhouse you can easily go for upwards of €120 for a 250g Wagyu steak. It may not be the same as here, but you can still compare it in terms of the flesh. In general, the prices are really reasonable and it's by no means overpriced or anything. With all the raves about the good food, I almost forgot about the service. Service also gets 5* because the people explained and showed very thoroughly. One waitress even went to the sauce buffet with me and put the sauce together with me. The other waitress showed us exactly how to use the fondue, or rather WHERE the meat goes in and for how long. This is a perfected service and you don't experience something like that every day, at least not us. Big praise, keep it up and we will keep coming back!!

We tried hotpot for the first time and loved it. The waitress explained to us in a friendly manner how it works and then put together a delicious side sauce for us. We had tomato, mushroom and slightly spicy broth, although slightly spicy was too spicy for us. The other 2 broths were very tasty. Admittedly not cheap at 40-50 euros per person, but also super tasty. A reservation is recommended in the evening.

Do not wear fresh or delicate clothes when you come here. My washing hamper still reeks of garlic and sesame oil 1 week after I washed all the clothes I wore when I was there. You and your hair will be very smelly at the end of your visit. We also had to cough and sneeze a lot during our stay due to all the spices in the air. Our waitress was very sweet and helpful, but could have been more attentive. I did not appreciate that she started off by recommending a double pot - and when we asked for a triple she admitted that they had run out of triple pots. Aside from that she made us feel very welcome. The food was a mixed bag. While the quality was fine, I felt prices were over the top. Ultimately you do all the cooking yourself, and we lacked the imagination to get too adventurous (not forgetting that "mistakes" can get very costly here), so while I enjoyed the company, the food was mostly just okay. The homemade dumplings were the best, the others were frozen convenience products from the Asian supermarket.

Unfortunately, the reservation is confusing because the date on the calendar did not correspond to the time booked, the restaurant was called differently there and the address was not the correct one. The entrance can be easily missed and the stairs to the restaurant are quite steep. In the restaurant itself, all you can smell is the broth. The service staff is very friendly, although some of their German is barely understandable. The food, on the other hand, is very tasty and varied. Preparation in the hot pot is a great experience.

We love it! Germany's best hotpot restaurant. Authentic, delicious, rich. Of course, Chinese hot pot is cheaper elsewhere, but hardly better. Ingredients are top fresh, broths absolutely delicious. Our favorite: Sichuan vegetable broth. Plus attentive and fast service and a cool ambience. Even at 150 kilometers away, it's worth a visit, of course in conjunction with other Frankfurt commitments. Since the restaurant is less than 5 minutes from the tracks of Frankfurt Central Station, is located on the first floor and is somewhat above the illustrious things of the station district and also has a smoking balcony, it couldn't be better for us. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially for those new to hot pot. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, perfect for a social evening with friends or family. We'll definitely be back!

So expensive but so good. The set up is so great. Lots of options and varieties for meat and vegetarian. The way you can mix your own sauce is amazing, so many great flavors. I don't know if it's worth the price but it's definitely worth the experience. The staff is very attentive and super fast. I also like that they give you a tablet to order and the way it let's you choose your broth, meat and veggies. I don't know if I would come back since it's so expensive for what you get but I definitely highly recommend checking it out, since it's simply delicious.

The bottom of the pot is so fragrant, the more you eat it, the better it tastes. Two girls eat over 100 yuan. It feels like the amount is less than before and less than the Liu family next door. The Liu family estimates that 70 to 80 can be eaten. But the taste of Xiaolongkan is really good. I feel like I can eat it for 130 even if I go out for it. And more than half of the guests are not Asians. Xiaolongkan has allowed Chinese hotpot to conquer the world!

Hotpot with lots of interesting and very tasty ingredients! Very nice service and friendly atmosphere. The entrance is a bit hidden and you have to accept that your clothes will smell like food afterwards.

Do people really have that much money these days? Do they no longer care about money? That really shocked me. There were three of us and we each paid almost 50 euros and in the end we still weren't full. I don't mean that the price was too high, but there should be the appropriate quantity for that price. Very authentic. I missed Chinese HotPot so much. It's expensive but as a group it's 100% worth it. We paid €203 for 8 people. Approx. €25 per person. We were there for 2 hours. Everyone was full and happy. At the end we also received melon as a gift.

Several issues led me to give it 1 star. First, the service attitude was poor. The attitudes of certain waiters towards foreigners and Chinese are very different. One time I called to order food and when I went to pick it up, the boss forgot to make it and kept saying that we didn't confirm it twice. They didn't apologize and made me wait in the store for more than 40 minutes. The train had already left. Second, the food tastes terrible. Can you believe that the most delicious dish in a hot pot restaurant is egg fried rice? ? Third, food safety. Every time I go to eat, I always get diarrhea when I come home. Didn’t food poisoning break out this time? I am responsible for the above remarks.

Mega Hot Pot in Frankfurt is the best in my opinion

I recently had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant. The restaurant is in a prime location right next to the main train station, which makes it very convenient and easy to reach. The service was super friendly and accommodating. The staff went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible and were always attentive and helpful. What struck me particularly positively was that many Asian guests ate in the restaurant, which for me is a sign of the authenticity of the cuisine. The food was freshly prepared and the ingredients were special and unique. Despite the high outside temperatures of 30 degrees, it was pleasant in the restaurant. Overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend this restaurant. It offers authentic and high quality cuisine coupled with first class service in a very convenient location. Definitely worth a visit!

Ordered delivery and there was limited selections because we arrived in Frankfurt quite late. The food cost ~30 euros including delivery and tips, it didn’t have much within, just beef stripes, a handful of beef pieces, Yuba and cabbages. Plus it only had pure spicy flavor, no other flavor, I was only able to eat 1/4 of food (considering I can eat pretty spicy food usually). What a waste! Maybe dining in hot pot would be much better but don’t order delivery.

Super delicious food and really super nice service! There are also enough options for vegetarians. Because the restaurant is on the first floor, the location at the main train station doesn't bother you at all. It's a little more expensive due to the ingredients, but it's definitely worth it.

Overpriced for little performance

Great hotpot restaurant! Ordering via iPads was super easy and the food came immediately. There wasn't much going on, so we were able to take a look at everything in peace. The selection at the buffet was huge and everything was fresh and tasty. I'd love to come back!

The best Szechuan hot pot in Europe! Just like in China! I love it! We were all very excited. And you can really order all ingredients from frog legs to Wagyo

Overall the hotpot is pretty good ! But they mixed seafood sauce with the oyster sauce. My DIY sauce became too salty at the end !

There were three of us there and none of us had ever eaten anything like this before. We were warmly welcomed and given very friendly instructions. Service was great and the food was great too. As a loaner, I can unfortunately say less about the quality, but everything was prepared and garnished cleanly and with quality and everything was very fresh and clean. We were also helped with sauces and the choice of hotpot. The only tiny flaw was the height of the table and the benches, which were a bit too low and uncomfortable. but otherwise it was nicely decorated. I can borrow it and really recommend it, even if you think of a third-class restaurant when you look at the stairs to the entrance. Is it worth giving this a chance.

If you are visiting Frankfurt and are craving for good tasty and authentic hot pot, start walking over towards the main train station. This hot pot place has beautiful decor and atmosphere, staff are super friendly, food choices are plenty and freshly sourced, and they have great wines to pair with your taste. I recommend the local Riesling. If you are lucky, as for the tables facing the train station. If you feel fancy, they have premium. grade Kobe beef from Japan and Australia.

Today was our first time at XiaoLongKan and it won't be the last time! Clean restaurant, nice ambience, great and friendly service, delicious food. We were newbies to hotpot and there was a great and understandable introduction. After ordering via tablet, the food was on the table within a few minutes. Everything was explained and we “newbies” were looked after - never intrusively. It was our daughter's birthday and there was even a present from the kitchen! Everything we tried was very tasty. We'll definitely be back. Many thanks to the entire team for this great experience.

Unfortunately we cannot recommend the restaurant. We wandered around for 20 minutes to find a parking space. The situation can scare you as a family. The tables don't really invite you to eat. Way too deep that my feet can hardly move. The space is also too small for a family with a large selection. I don't think the price is justified for a few vegetables and meat. For 150 euros you can eat better.

Very authentic and very great service

Probably the best you can get in Frankfurt, however, I still prefer the one in Düsseldorf. It’s the same owner but somehow the good, the Ambiente was much nicer in Düsseldorf. Don’t get me wrong it’s still good but if I had a choice I would go to the other one :)

Friends have recommended this restaurant but it really exceeded my expectations. Amazing food, exceptional service and situated conveniently opposite from central train station. It is pricey but is ideal if you go big group to share.

Of course the area isn't the most beautiful but it's worth it! Service very courteous and attentive.
