I had high hopes for this restaurant based on the reviews, but I was sorely disappointed! Terrible service! The staff was rude and inattentive because we couldn’t speak German as tourists?! We had to wait for ages to get our food, and when it finally arrived, it was cold, poorly cooked and lacked taste ! they barely apologized and did nothing to compensate for the incident. The service is terribly bad. My little son had a stomachache when we were in the restaurant. After explaining to the waiter and asking for a cup of hot water, I was rejected. I was suggested to order a cup of tea and throw the tea bag away, in order to get a cup of hot water for my son. It’s so ridiculous and disappointing! We will not recommend anyone with children to go there.

Despite having a reservation, we were seated at a table with other people. Unfortunately the food wasn't anything special, a bit spicy, but very oily, way too much salt and not tasty. The service was miserable. We ordered three dishes, and after about 40 minutes the first one was brought to the table carelessly. After another 30 minutes the second dish arrived. After another 30 minutes we canceled the third dish and went somewhere else because we weren't full. A disappointment all in all. Not worth recommending.

My husband and I spent a wonderful evening in the courtyard yesterday. The food was excellent, very tasty and fresh. My absolute favorite restaurant far and wide. If you like Sichuan cuisine, you can't miss the Höfchen if you live in the Rhine-Main area. The food tastes simply excellent. The staff is very friendly. It is advisable to make a reservation and come with as many people as possible, because you will share all the dishes you order, and the more people, the more you can try. Most of the dishes here are quite spicy by European standards, so you should be prepared for that. If necessary, just eat a lot of rice to compensate.

A really good and authentic Sichuan Chinese restaurant in the heart of Frankfurt. Authentic Chinese Sichuan cuisine, with a variety of dishes. Make sure you don't order too much, because the portions are quite large, which can also be seen in the slightly higher prices. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The food is simply great. There are also hot pots. We had the water spinach, the beef with chilies, the monk's ear mushroom salad, the chicken with cashews. Everything was very delicious. Located in the center of Frankfurt, there are many customers. The service was average, most of the dishes were served, but the drinks were still missing. The most disappointing thing is that the sweet and sour pork ribs are served in seconds, and you can tell it is a pre-made dish (the dish on the upper right of the picture). It seems that prepared dishes have made their way overseas. I asked the store, but of course they wouldn't admit it. In fact, I can understand it if the store admits it. No, they are unfriendly. I am Chinese and I walked in alone afterwork at 1810. There were half of the tables still empty. They saw me came alone, let me order but told me I must pack to go as all the tables are reserved at 1900 and I must pay by cash or Wechat, it was never the case when I walk in with another non-Chinese, we can always pay by card! I ordered anyway but they force me to pack it home. I tried to ask the male manager in a friendly manner as he seems to be the owner but he never reply and pretend did not hear me eventhough I asked several times. I organized some big events years before but will never do so as this attitude by judging people by number is horrible! And this attitude by treating Chinese so unfriendly and rude and with no respect at all shocks me by all means. Especially, this a Chinese treating another Chinese badly in front of all people from other country is so humiliating! Dont go there unless if U have a Foreign face, they discriminate their own kind, for gods sake.

Highly recommended. The food is amazingly authentic Chinese and portions are large enough for sharing. The price may seem steep but very reasonable once the food is on the table. The design and ambiance of the place is authentic and beautiful. A rather cozy restaurant with limited seating, so reservation is highly recommended. As the restaurant becomes almost fully packed the moment their doors open for business. Service is great, servers are able to speak German, English and Chinese. They're efficient and mostly friendly, but they'll get the job done. We will definitely return again.

Horrible by all means and very disappointing. I’m so offended and humiliated from the staff attitude. Also shocked as I never faced such rudeness in any country I visited. Extremely rude waiters. The waiters just walk away while you’re actually asking them for something. When you call on them they ignore and never come to the table. When I talked to the manager his reply was you don’t speak Chinese nor German then why are you here (in English). I have no clue why they’re accepting tourists if they won’t serve them nor respect them. Food was cold and undercooked. Some dishes took an hour to come to the table ( after we actually finished eating). Major attitude problem that almost turned into a fight in a rude way. Please don’t go there if you’re on a vacation it will totally ruin your trip. There is other cheerful delicious places.

Unbedingt reservieren, da bei Chinesen sehr beliebt. Oftmals große chinesische Gruppen, die sehr laut sind. Die Bedienung spricht nur sehr unzureichend deutsch, sodass die Kommunikation oft etwas kompliziert ist. Überschaubare Karte. Fast alle Gerichte sind sehr scharf. Das muss man mögen. Der Preis für ein Hauptgericht liegt momentan bei 18,- Doggybag möglich, wenn man nicht alles auffrisst

Sehr schönes, modernes Lokal und definitiv anders wie die "Standard" Chinesen. Südchinesische Szechuan-Küche. Es wird mit sehr viel Chili-Öl und Szechuan-Pepper gearbeitet. Ich würde mehr wie 4 Sterne geben, aber keine 5. 4,2-4,3.

My go to place for Szechuan, Walla Frankfurt. They speak English. Go for the spare ribs, lamb, and hot pot.

Vieles zu diesem Restaurant wurde bereits in den vorhandenen Rezensionen angesprochen: gemütliches, chinesisches Restaurant, authentische, scharfe bis sehr scharfe Szechuan-Küche, vorwiegend von Asiaten bzw. Chinesen besucht, Reservierung empfehlenswert etc. Die Bedienung ist nicht überschwenglich freundlich, aber macht ihren Job. Wir haben verschiedene scharfe Gerichte (Hähnchenstreifen aus der Keule in Chilisauce, Lendenfilet, Rinderzunge und Rinderherz in Chiliöl, doppelt gebratener Schweinebauch, gebraten Aubergine in scharfer Chilisauce, gebratener Blumenkohl, gebratenes Hühnerfleisch) bestellt. Am besten haben uns dabei die Hähnchenstreifen aus der Keule in Chiliöl und die gebratenen Auberginen in scharfer Chilisauce gefallen. Jedes Gericht für sich hätten wir vielleicht nicht bemängelt, aber in der Summe fiel doch negativ auf, dass die geschmackliche Bandbreite sehr gering war. Der gebratene Blumenkohl und das gebratene Hühnerfleisch besaßen exakt dieselbe Würzung und waren geschmacklich austauschbar. Die restlichen Gerichte wurden alle geradezu in Chiliöl ertränkt. Man hatte den Eindruck, immer wieder das gleiche Gericht zu essen, bei dem nur die Hauptingredientien ausgetauscht wurden. Da bin ich von der chinesischen Küche doch deutlich mehr Vielfalt und vor allem Raffinesse gewöhnt (natürlich nicht in Deutschland, aber ich habe 5 Jahre in Asien gelebt). Alles in allem keine Erfahrung, die zu einem regelmäßigen Besuch des "Höfchens" führen wird.

Leider hat uns das Essen nicht geschmeckt und für unseren Geschmack waren alle Gerichte überverhältnismäßig fettig /ölig. Vegetarier Achtung! Nicht bei jedem Gericht steht explizit drin, dass Fleisch enthalten ist. Vegetarier sollten unbedingt bei der Bedienung nachfragen! Die Preis-Leistung hat für uns persönlich nicht gestimmt.

Gutes und original chinesisches Essen. Sehr nette Atmosphäre mit ausreichend Platz und in einem modernen Stil eingerichtet. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt ebenfalls, daher eine klare Empfehlung.

Wir wollten mit 2 Personen an einem Dienstag um 18:00 Uhr hier essen gehen. Der Laden war nur zu 1/4 belegt. Wir wurden abgewiesen, weil um 20:00 Uhr alle Tische reserviert sind und bis dahin keine Tische vergeben werden. Wir hätten reservieren sollen, wurde uns gesagt. Für die Kellnerin war das Gespräch damit beendet. Sehr unflexibel was die Verteilung der Gäste angeht und auch nicht auf Kunden angewiesen.

This is real authentic Sichuan food! You could already know it when you just check the menu, with some special dishes you wouldnt normally find in Chinese restaurants in Germany, but popular in China or simply novel here. Then the 冰粉(Bing Fen, I forgot what was the translation in German or English) in enamel mugs, that's definitely the real old style back in China, love it! The Wanton with chili oil and fried beef rib meat(no bones) are also super. And the price is very reasonable, I find.

Zunächst wurden wir eine ganze Weile am Tisch ignoriert bis sich mal jemand zu uns erbarmte (laden war nicht sonderlich gut besucht). Der Bedienung ging unsere Bestellung wohl nicht schnell genug. Sie rollte mehrmals und offensichtlich mit den Augen. Sie wirkte komplett genervt und unmotiviert. Das Essen wurde uns dann nach und nach auf den Tisch geknallt wobei wir mehrmals unfreundlich dazu aufgefordert wurden Platz zu schaffen für die ankommenden Speisen. Die beiden Bedienung waren wirklich komplett unfreundlichkeit und unprofessionell. Essen war lecker - Service bodenlos Unser letzter Besuch hier!

An Reservierung und Bedienung muss fleissig gearbeitet werden. Wir gehen um 14 Uhr rein während Öffnungszeit, wird behauptet, dass Küche schon geschlossen ist, einfach arrogant und unprofessionell

Sehr authentische Küche! Leider etwas laut und Service manchmal nicht so ganz auf zack. Aber dennoch sehr zu empfehlen und wir werden aufgrund der sehr leckeren Speisen definitiv wieder kommen!

一言难尽的体验，我们点的所有菜都不满意。老麻抄手没有花椒香味和麻味。水煮鱼的鱼肉特别老，口感似鸡肉，味道全靠最后浇的热油，而且份量对于价钱来说小得夸张。蟹黄豆腐只有罐装蟹黄酱味，里面没有半点蟹肉，只有蟹棒，味道非常寡淡。我们进门时前台的女生可能心情不好，脸特别臭还对我们爱搭不理。不过吃上饭之后也就不在意了，因为食物带来的失望盖过了原本的坏心情。听朋友说这里以前的菜品相当不错，很可惜今天没有品尝到。
