In der brütenden Hitze Frankreichs ist es eine Entscheidung, sich in einem Restaurant ohne Klimaanlage die belehrende Predigt des Besitzers anzuhören – eine Entscheidung, die man tausendmal bereut. Es handelt sich um ein charmant eingerichtetes, spärlich besetztes, inhabergeführtes Restaurant. Nachdem ich ein Glas Eistee getrunken hatte, versuchte ich mit meiner Visa-Karte und meiner N26-Karte zu bezahlen – Zahlungsmethoden, die anderswo problemlos funktionieren –, doch keine von beiden klappte. Getreu seinem inhabergeführten Charakter ist es einzigartig und unkonventionell. Meine weltgewandte Sichtweise hatte es unterschätzt. Daher nehme ich die Kritik des Besitzers gerne an. Ja, ich hatte es nicht gewagt, das Kleingedruckte auf der Speisekarte genau zu lesen. Selbst wenn ich ausgehungert gewesen wäre, hätte ich nicht direkt zum Essen gehen können; ich musste den Haftungsausschluss von Anfang bis Ende lesen. Das war mein Fehler. Ich bot an, mit Alipay zu bezahlen. Um meinen Fehler wiedergutzumachen, rechnete ich sorgfältig den Wechselkurs aus und gab ihn dem Besitzer. Wie versprochen, bestand der Besitzer sofort darauf, dass meine Berechnung nicht aufgehen würde. Er musste es selbst machen, und nur WeChat Pay wurde akzeptiert. Er zückte sein Handy und rechnete schnell nach – das Ergebnis war genau dasselbe wie meine Berechnung, nur ganze vier Yuan mehr! Typisch für den Besitzer, ging er anders vor. Ich fragte ungeduldig: „Warum ist es bei Ihnen so viel teurer? Da ich mich verrechnet habe, wie wäre es mit einem Kompromiss? Ich gebe zwei Yuan dazu.“ Das war mein zweiter Fehler. Wie konnte es ein einfacher Kunde wagen, zu feilschen und die Autorität des Besitzers infrage zu stellen? Natürlich verlangte er Bargeld und traf damit genau meinen wunden Punkt. Schließlich hatte ich schon einiges ausgegeben und konnte nicht sofort bezahlen. Ich bekam Angst, dass er mich Geschirr spülen lassen würde, um mir das Geld zurückzuzahlen. Zum Glück war der Besitzer freundlich; er begann mir einen Vortrag zu halten, betonte seine Schwierigkeiten und erklärte, dass er die über WeChat erhaltenen Zahlungen persönlich im Blick behielt (ich erinnere mich nicht mehr an seine genauen Worte, aber im Grunde war er schon sehr großzügig, indem er WeChat-Zahlungen akzeptierte). Außerdem hatte ich nicht einmal Trinkgeld gegeben. Apropos Trinkgeld: Das war tatsächlich mein Fehler. Ich aß in einem Restaurant ohne Klimaanlage, schwitzte wie verrückt und trank Tee mit kaum Eis, während sie in der stickigen Küche für mich kochten! Dann dämmerte es mir, und ich schlug vor, nach seiner Umrechnung zu bezahlen, die zusätzlichen 4 RMB wären mein Trinkgeld. Das war mein dritter Fehler – wie konnte ich es wagen, das so direkt anzusprechen! Natürlich verzog der Besitzer das Gesicht und sagte verächtlich: „Mir geht es nicht um die 4 RMB; ich bin hier, um Ihnen eine Lektion zu erteilen …“ (Die Auslassungspunkte kommen daher, dass ich mich ehrlich gesagt nicht mehr daran erinnere, was er gesagt hat. Wer möchte, kann sich seine Predigt selbst anhören; man kann sogar beim Essen etwas lernen! Ein Segen für alle Wissbegierigen!) Nachdem mein Freund dieselbe Umrechnungssoftware wie der Besitzer benutzt hatte, um einen niedrigeren Preis zu berechnen, meinte der Besitzer, ich solle einfach seinen umgerechneten Preis bezahlen. Da begriff ich es – er wollte mir einfach eine kostenlose Lektion erteilen.

Das Essen war hervorragend, ohne Klimaanlage war es etwas heiß.

Meiner Meinung nach das beste chinesische Essen in Frankfurt. Eine riesige Auswahl an authentischen Gerichten. Ich probiere jedes Mal etwas Neues und bestelle immer viel zu viel. Ich lerne es einfach nicht! Der Tofu ist extrem lecker und hausgemacht. Die gebratenen Auberginen mit der hausgemachten Soße sind ein Traum. Zwar etwas teuer, aber jeden Cent wert. Probiert unbedingt die hausgemachten Eistees! Schwarzer Tee ist süß, grüner Tee erfrischender. Beide sind super. Tsingtao ist immer top. 😌 Vorsicht, wenn ihr es nicht scharf mögt! Es gibt zwar auch milde Gerichte, aber nehmt die Chili-Skala hier SEHR ernst. Meine Freundin, die scharfes Essen liebt, hat sich noch nicht getraut, mehr als 🌶️🌶️ zu bestellen! Wenn ihr scharfes Essen liebt, seid ihr im siebten Himmel. Unbedingt die „Scharfschaufel“ probieren! Einige der Sitzgelegenheiten sind einfache Holzbänke, sehr rustikal und wunderschön geschnitzt, aber ohne Rückenlehne sind sie auf Dauer oder nach einem langen Tag etwas unbequem. Falls in Ihrer Gruppe Personen sind, denen das nicht so gut geht, rufen Sie bitte an, reservieren Sie einen Tisch und bitten Sie um einen anderen Platz. Die Toiletten sind sauber und ordentlich.

Nachtrag: Wieder hier gewesen, wieder sehr gut. Sehr authentische, chinesische Küche. Sehr gut, vermutlich eines der besten chinesischen Restaurants in Frankfurt. 120€ für 2 Personen, aber sehr reichhaltig und jeden Cent wert. Ursprüngliche Rezension: Wenn ich in Frankfurt bin, bringen mich chinesische Freunde immer hierher zum Essen. Gute und authentische chinesische Küche. Es sind meist auch mehr Chinesen als Deutsche zu Gast. Vertrau keinem Chinarestaurant, in das keine Chinesen gehen.... 😉

Sehr schönes Lokal mit authentischer chinesischer Küche. Achtung: Es werden nur bestimmte Kreditkarten akzeptiert.

Die Bewertungen sahen gut aus, also bestellten wir fünf Gerichte für über 120 Euro. Insgesamt war der Geschmack nur mittelmäßig, und in den Fleischgerichten war zu wenig Fleisch. Die geschmorten Schweinedärme waren zu trocken, und das Entenfleisch-Sandwich schmeckte nicht nach Ente, wahrscheinlich weil zu wenig Fleisch drin war. Die Auberginen mit Fischgeschmack waren zu fettig. Und zu allem Überfluss bekamen wir beide nach dem Mittagessen Durchfall.

Authentische Sichuan-Küche mit sehr freundlicher Beratung inklusive ehrlicher Empfehlung, wie viele „Chilis“ für europäische Gäste sinnvoll sind. Besonders positiv: Trotz der gewünschten Schärfe blieben die anderen Aromen hervorragend wahrnehmbar. Gewürze wie Piment oder rosa Pfeffer kamen wunderbar zur Geltung. Das Fried Chicken, der Fried Tofu mit Champignons und die gefüllte Lotuswurzel waren ausgezeichnet. Wer echte Sichuan-Küche mit Charakter sucht, ist hier genau richtig.

Teuer und mässig gut. Voll mit Chilli, frittiert, schmeckt sonst wenig raus.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, obwohl das Restaurant voll war. Ich bekam sofort einen Tisch, die Bestellung wurde schnell aufgenommen und das Essen war lecker (es gab sogar Unterhaltung!). Ich konnte zusehen, wie meine Nudeln und Garnelen direkt vor meinen Augen zubereitet wurden. Ich werde versuchen, das nächste Mal wiederzukommen, wenn es nicht so voll ist.

Nach längerer Zeit war ich wieder hier und musste feststellen, dass sich die Speisekarte geändert hat. 36 € bezahlt für eine Person. Wir hatten zwei Hauptgerichte und eine kleine Beilage. Das Essen war okay, aber für diese Portionsgröße finde ich den Preis leider deutlich zu hoch

Das Essen wurde zu langsam serviert... und es wurde immer nur ein Gericht nach dem anderen serviert, sodass es unmöglich war, alle bestellten Gerichte gleichzeitig zu servieren...

Das Essen ist eine 10 von 10. Alles was wir gegessen haben war außergewöhnlich gut. Es gibt dort nichts was nicht schneckt und man kann einfach alles empfehlen. Volle Punktzahl dafür. Der Service ist gut und die Tees sind auch sehr lecker. Leider sind die Frauentoiletten eine Katastrophe...man muss sein Toilettenpapier in den Mülleimer statt in die Toilette werfen. Das ist leider unschön und trübt leider etwas das Ambiente.

Wir waren zum Silvesteressen hier und es war fantastisch! Obwohl es sehr voll war, war der Service erstklassig – sehr aufmerksam und herzlich. Die Einrichtung ist wunderschön, und die Holztische verleihen dem Restaurant ein schönes, traditionelles Flair. Unbedingt den süß-sauren Fisch und die Riesengarnelen probieren! Der Fisch war superfrisch und perfekt gewürzt. Die Gerichte sind authentisch im Sichuan-Stil zubereitet, also recht kräftig und geschmackvoll – perfekt zu Reis! Insgesamt: großartiges Essen und toller Service. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Ich könnte eine ganze Menge an Kleinigkeiten aufzählen, die mich überzeugt haben, aber grob zusammengefasst: Ich habe noch nie so gut asiatisch essen dürfen. Natürlich kann ich als Vorteigekartoffel nicht bewerten, wie authentisch die Speisen wirklich sind, aber das Erlebnis war mit keinem der chinesischen Restaurants vergleichbar, in denen in bisher in meinem Leben gewesen bin. Das Personal ist total freundlich, sehr offen und lebhaft, zwar kommt es auch mal zu sprachlichen Missverständnissen aber die können fröhlich bereinigt werden. Der Schärfegrad ist in der Karte mit keiner, ein, zwei oder drei Chilis angegeben. Auch innerhalb der Deklaration scheint es unterschiede zu geben, denn das eine Gericht wirkte deutlich scharf, während das andere eher in die Kategorie "würzig" fiel - ungeübte sollten keinesfalls über eine Schote hinausgehen. Für einen unanchtsamen Imbiss eignet sich das Höfchen nicht. Es lohnt sich hier zu reservieren und mit Zeit und Genuss einzukehren <3

Ich hatte reserviert und war dort, und obwohl das Restaurant vor dem Abendessen leer war, wurde ich auf dem Weg zur Toilette an einen unmöblierten Tisch geleitet, anstatt in den Hauptraum, wo das Besteck bereits bereitlag. Visa und Mastercard werden nicht akzeptiert, daher ist Bargeld die einzige Zahlungsmöglichkeit für Reisende.

Wenn man reinkommt und die Person, die einen begrüßt, auf die Uhr schaut und das Restaurant noch 55 Minuten geöffnet hat, weiß man in der Regel, dass es Probleme gibt. Wenn man dann noch 10 Minuten vor Ladenschluss bezahlen muss, ist klar, dass man nicht willkommen ist. Das Essen war im Großen und Ganzen okay. Durchschnittlich, fettig, und der Reis war das deutlichste Anzeichen dafür. Wenn man in einem Restaurant ist, in dem Reis ein Hauptgericht ist und die Qualität trocken, fade und unappetitlich ist, setzt das ein schlechtes Licht auf die Atmosphäre.

Beim Schlendern durch die Frankfurter Innenstadt bin ich auf dieses Restaurant gestoßen. Das Kung Pao Chicken war on point zubereitet – gut scharf, nach Sichuan-Art.

Ich habe nicht viel Erfahrung mit chinesischem Essen, aber das Essen hier hat mir wirklich gut geschmeckt. Es wirkte sehr authentisch und die Bedienung war sehr freundlich.

Wir haben dort zwei Tage lang gegessen. Es gibt Sichuan-Küche. Die Gerichte waren sehr gut. Die Aromen versetzen einen direkt nach China. Das Lamm war hervorragend und einzigartig. Das Nudelgericht mit Garnelen wird direkt am Tisch zubereitet. Es gibt auch scharfe Gerichte. Die Speisekarte enthält Fotos, sodass man sich die Gerichte gut aussuchen und genau wissen kann, was man bestellt. Einziger Nachteil: Visa und Mastercard werden nicht akzeptiert, daher empfiehlt es sich, Bargeld mitzubringen. Sehr empfehlenswert für alle, die mal eine andere Art der chinesischen Küche probieren möchten.

Was für ein wunderbares kulinarisches Abenteuer, vielen Dank! Schade, dass es keine Spirituosen gab; etwas Hochprozentiges wäre nach so einem Abendessen schön gewesen.

Das beste chinesische Restaurant, das ich bisher in Deutschland besucht habe. Der Service war außerdem aufmerksam und freundlich.

Das Essen ist weiterhin auf einem sehr hohen Niveau. Jedoch muss man sagen, dass die Servicequalität signifikant nachgelassen hat. Teilweise dauert es sehr lange, bis man bestellt bzw. das Essen kommt. Vor 2-3 Jahren definitiv das beste chinesische Restaurant gewesen, heute jedoch mit Mängeln im Service.

Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, das Essen gut..nur etwas fleischlastig finde ich persönlich. Es war sehr viel los und wir mussten zweimal nach mehr "feuer" für den Topf und Reis fragen und sind dann am Ende ohne Reis gegangen. Das Platikgeschirr für heißes Essen finde ich nicht so toll, aber Atmosphäre war gut.

Die Essensqualität ist super, Service ist supernett, auch die Einrichtung ist absolut einladend. Allerdings ist mir aufgefallen, dass im letzen halben Jahr die Preise deutlich erhöht wurden. Und damit meine ich >30%. Zu viert haben wir nun 12/25 186 Euro bezahlt.

Leider sind die Portionen immer kleiner und einige Gerichte wurden extrem erhöht. 25€ für ein extrem kleines Gericht ist total übertrieben. Früher gerne hingegangen jetzt werden ich leider nicht mehr kommen.

Geschmacklich gut je nach Gericht aber die kleinen Portionen und stark steigenden Preise kann man nicht gut reden. Auch sind die Bilder oft stark abweichend vom tatsächlichen Essen.

Ich war gestern sehr enttäuscht von meinem Besuch. Ich bestellte Mapo Tofu, Reis und Tantanmen. Ich bezahlte 35 € und erwartete mein Wechselgeld, aber das Personal gab es mir nicht zurück. Ich bat sogar auf Englisch um mein Wechselgeld, aber sie schienen mich nicht zu verstehen und gingen einfach weg, als wäre alles in Ordnung. Zudem akzeptierten sie weder Apple Pay noch Visa oder Mastercard. Sie sagten, nur Bargeld oder ausländische Karten seien möglich, was sehr unpraktisch war. Deshalb blieb mir nichts anderes übrig, als ohne mein Wechselgeld zu gehen. Ich hoffe, das Restaurant achtet künftig mehr auf eine korrekte Zahlungsabwicklung und die Kommunikation mit den Kunden.

Wer chinesisches Essen und scharfen Feuertopf mag, ist hier genau richtig. Ich war auf Empfehlung eines Einheimischen dort, und es war nicht zu salzig und sehr lecker.

Portions are getting smaller and smaller, prices are getting higher and higher, and there are almost no suitable vegetarian dishes to complement meat dishes.

The reception is a bit chilly, but the food and menu are absolutely authentic Chinese. The menu is extensive, from fried pork intestines to pig's ear and tongue. The restaurant is usually mostly frequented by Asians. I'll definitely be back to try more.

No hospitality We had a table reservation and arrived a little early, but were still seated immediately. The food was fantastic. When we wanted to order dessert and were already looking at the menu again, we were suddenly asked to vacate our table because other guests were waiting. We hadn't even been there for a full hour! The excuse given was that it's always very busy on weekends. But there were other tables available. What a shame! We would have loved to come back, but I've never experienced such disrespectful treatment of a guest before. Therefore, despite the excellent food, we won't be eating here again.

Amazing authentic Sichuan cuisine!

The food is okay; those who like spicy food will be satisfied. Service is okay. Prices are average. It's an option, but not a must-visit.

A truly wide selection of Asian cuisine. I visited this restaurant only once, for a business dinner. We were seated at a large round table, which made conversation a bit challenging — you can really only hear the person sitting right next to you, as the place tends to be quite noisy. The table, however, is great for sharing dishes, thanks to the classic rotating center. There’s an extensive menu featuring both meat and vegetarian options, including many spicy dishes. Overall, my experience was positive — the food was excellent and flavorful, though the service and waiting time were a bit slow. Still, it’s definitely a restaurant worth visiting.

Absolutely exquisite food (especially if you love hot food/sichuan peppers). The food is always amazing, went twice. The staff could be a litte bit more focused as they forgot some of our orders but overall good experience.

This restaurant is becoming increasingly disappointing, with declining food quality and reduced portions. The waiters also have poor communication and no service awareness at all. Would not recommend.

I ate there twice and both times were bad. Once I was kicked out because my time was up, and another time my order was wrong and the food I ordered was too salty.

The portion size was shockingly small – we told them so small, that they were so full that they left nothing behind. (The photo had to be removed from the table.) The portions were shockingly small. 😱 The eggplant and cowpeas were so small I almost thought they were leftovers from someone else's table. It was outrageous. When the food arrived, my friend and I directly commented, "So little!" The waiter just walked away as if he hadn't heard us. Since we had to rush to the airport after finishing our meal, we didn't argue, but it was still outrageous.

Very good traditional food, very spicy though haha Service is great, but they are very full and in a hurry. Pay attention to the accepted payment methods and card brands. I suggest to make a reservation before getting there.

Recommended Chinese restaurant with traditional dishes and an interesting menu.

I ordered grilled fish based on a recommendation, but I can't recommend it. 1. It was fried, not grilled. 2. The fish skin was incredibly salty, and the fish had no flavor at all. 3. When it was served, they told me it needed to be cooked before eating. There was some standard seafood. I took a bite of a scallop, and it was barely cooked. Another was cooked from start to finish, and still not cooked through. 4. Some of the shrimp were stale and mushy. Some of the clams were still open and rotten. For nearly 60 yuan, the price is an insult. When I mentioned it when I paid the bill, the checker just laughed and said grilled fish is just average anyway... 😡 There weren't many people at lunch, but someone who seemed to be one of the waiters was talking loudly to a table nearby, complaining about someone's security camera being broken and losing money. They were talking so loudly that we couldn't hear a word they were saying. Sir, please don't write random reviews!

One of the best chinese restaurants in Frankfurt. They specialize in spicy food, but without a doubt the best item on the menu are the deep fried beef shanks (See Photo, already half eaten). I bring all my out of town friends here and they are always love it.

Positive: - Dan Dan noodles were very tasty - Kung Pao chicken was tasty (but a bit inauthentic, too sweet) - I also liked the pork belly - Unlimited rice is available for refills for €1 Negative: - The cucumber salad is nothing special for €8.80. It just seemed like cucumber and oil to me; I couldn't really taste the Szechuan peppercorns in the oil. - Kung Pao was neither spicy nor did it have the citrus flavor of Szechuan pepper, and it was very sweet. Asians might get more authentic versions than Europeans. - Service was friendly but understaffed. The food can be described as authentic Sichuan cuisine. (2022) The staff is nice, friendly, and efficient! Spicy dishes with cold green tea are a perfect combination. After the waitress learned it was my birthday while paying, she gave me a pot of birthday noodles on behalf of the restaurant! Even though I was already full, I was very happy about it, and it tastes absolutely delicious! Thank you so much for that! Unfortunately, the food is no longer up to a good standard these days. The last visit in 2024 was nothing but disappointing. Never again.

Remember to pay in cash; many restaurants offer discounts when using WeChat. Not only did they not offer a discount, they even added an extra 0.20 to the exchange rate. They also gave us an hour because they ran out of seats. We agreed and quickly ordered. But the last dish arrived ten minutes before our order was due. Five minutes later, they kept coming back to remind us to wait. I wanted to flip the table.

The payment experience completely ruined what could have been an enjoyable visit. *We were misled.* 😒 The restaurant only accepts EC cards, which I had saved in my Apple Wallet. However, when I first tried to pay, the card wouldn’t load. My husband then went to find an ATM to withdraw cash. Shortly after he left, I managed to load the card and was ready to pay. But the waitress lied to me. She claimed that payment was only possible with a physical card ???!!! I found this odd, as I’ve never encountered such a restriction before. When I questioned it, she began giving inconsistent excuses to prevent me from paying digitally. I insisted on using Apple Pay. Of course, it worked perfectly. I paid with my EC card via Apple Pay. But by then, my husband had already returned with cash, making the whole ordeal a frustrating waste of time!!! It honestly makes me wonder: Are you trying to avoid taxes by pushing customers to pay in cash?👎👎👎

The best Szechuan cuisine in Frankfurt, in my opinion. Everything is well seasoned. The place is huge, you can sit anywhere. Delicious!

Two of us went to Höfchen for dinner this evening. The welcome was very warm, and that continued throughout the ordering of food and drinks. We had two beef dishes and a wanton and cucumber starter. All the dishes were very authentic. We were thoroughly satisfied and would happily come back for dinner.

This was my favorite Chinese restaurant in Germany. We went there for a Saturday's dinner, and the portions were smaller than usual, spiciness was reduced and the quality of the meat felt a bit different. We were all disappointed as we were all so hyped up about the food.

Very good food Chinese food. Chinese duck soup and green beans were very tasty. The position of one bowl of noodles soup was enough for 2 people.

Sichuan restaurant, the menu is very special and the taste is very authentic. It tastes different from ordinary restaurants. The environment and decoration are very unique. The service is very good.

We love Chinese food, also the specific Sichuan cuisine, and it was really unparalleled. It's great to get a 'normal' sweet dish of fried chicken in sweet and sour sauce so special in taste and texture. The very spicy dish of chicken and clams was also delicious. It's not very cozy, but you mainly come for the food. We still talk about it!

I've been here twice and I think the taste is okay. It's not a very authentic Sichuan cuisine. As someone from a spicy-eating province in China, the boiled spicy chicken is really not spicy and a bit salty. It may have been modified based on German tastes. Every time there are so many people coming, you have to wait for a while even if you make a reservation, and you have to leave when the time comes, so it is not suitable for a business dinner. The price/performance ratio is also average.

My friend celebrated my birthday, and the store gave me longevity noodles. It was a good experience and the meal was delicious. Overall very good
