There aren't many places in Munich that are NOT kids friendly. This is one and the waiter was super annoyed with my baby putting some rice on the floor. I'd recommend going to a different Indian restaurant as there are a lot of nice ones around :)

In my experience, this is the best Indian restaurant in Munich. The food is consistently good (and we've been coming here for years). The restaurant isn't overcrowded like many other Indian restaurants, and the noise level is low enough that you can always have a conversation in a comfortable voice. It's also good value for money. My only criticism: the owner could smile more often.

We had a take away from Shiraz Indian restaurant and the food was amazing.This was the best Indian food we had on our Europe tour and kids loved it. On the top of it the owner Ashok and his wife are the most friendliest people we found and they are very welcoming. We had order vegetarian dishes and they are one of the best we had in a while. We coming back to Shiraz for sure whenever we visit the Munich again ❤️

Though the ambience was good, my son was not allowed to drink water from my own bottle and was asked to order water. The other option given was to go out of the restaurant and drink water. Such an insensitive attitude !!

The WORST experience I have ever had with an Indian. From the food to the service, everything was catastrophic. The food is not authentic and you don't get what you order. In addition, the rice costs extra, which would NEVER be the case in an authentic, friendly Indian restaurant. There is nothing on the map and nothing is pointed out to you. Then at the end you are confronted by the unfriendly service and uncompromisingly charged. And at the end when I paid, they hesitated and waited for their tip with greedy looks. Impudence!! I recommend everyone to avoid this restaurant and find another one.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Munich. For the drinks I strongly recommend Mango Lassi (sweet) and Chai (tea). Stuff is so friendly and caring.

We had a delicious and wonderful evening here. The food is delicious, prepared with great attention to detail. The atmosphere is super cozy, clean and tidy. The best Indian food we have eaten so far in German-speaking countries (and I absolutely love Indian food, i.e. I have already visited many restaurants, including in India). Tip: Try the lamb, among other things. It's a shame that we don't have this restaurant in Ulm/Neu-Ulm. We'd love to come back. Thanks! You can't get more stars ;)

Great food! Very nice operation and good service.

We were at Shiraj Restaurant yesterday. The atmosphere was really pleasant and nice and quiet. The food tasted rather mediocre and had little taste. Compared to other Indians, it was rather bad. The food itself was okay but the service really wasn't okay. We received a friendly welcome, but that quickly changed. The waiter was unfriendly and took the candle away from us even though we wanted it with us and said so. Afterwards I asked for a small extra portion of rice, for which for some reason you have to pay extra (no other Indian restaurant offers this) Price was rather expensive. Service was unfriendly and therefore didn't earn a (small) tip. Then he got angry and sent us out. Restaurant Shiraj never again

We mostly order take away. It's delicious! Always freshly prepared and we have never been disappointed. And it's always finished on time. We would recommend it at any time.

Very good food with nice service, unfortunately not a good location and a bit of street noise

I searched for this restaurant based on GG-Maps results and was not disappointed. The mirrors on the ceilings make the rooms spacious. Subtle light creates a cozy atmosphere. The furnishings are pleasantly colored, finely tuned and comfortable. The food is very good, I only give 4 points for the service because the people were very polite, but also relatively silent. Maybe it's Indian style or the character of the service people. But there was something very distant about it. Nevertheless, I would go there again if my trip took me to Munich again.

Why do they not yet have a Michelin Star, I do not know, but the food today was outstanding again. We think this is one of the best Indian restaurants in Munich, Bavaria. Whitest table cloths, great professional service with ease and big smiles - and food simply so amazing. We have been visiting for decades and the level of quality remains consistently excellent. Sehr gutes indisches Restaurant mit reichhaltiger Auswahl zu günstigen Preisen. Extrem freundlicher und erfahrener Service der jeden Wunsch ermöglicht. Schöner und gediegener Speisesaal mit tollen Ambiente. Es gibt auch Speisen aus dem Tandorri Ofen. Meine Empfehlung tikka shiraj.

The food was really good and the decorations of the restaurant was nice also , however the service was really bad , the Waiters was unfriendly . He spoke in an arrogant manner. I was trying to lighten the atmosphere and told him that there was a similarity between Indian dishes and Arab dishes. He replied: Since you are Arab and Muslim, why did you order alcohol!!!

Das Essen hier war gut, kam zügig und war gerade zum Mittagstisch preiswert. Der Inhaber verhält sich gegenüber seinen Gästen leider jedoch recht überheblich. Da werden beispielsweise Taschen ohne Rücksprache mit dem Gast einfach angefasst und auf den Boden gestellt. Das Feeling gleicht einem Besuch bei den unangenehmen Schwiegereltern.

Abseits der befahrenen Leonrodstrasse. Sehr angenehm draussen und natürlich drinnen zu sitzen. Sehr hübsches indisches Lokal. Freundliche Bedienung und sehr leckeres Essen zum angemessenem Preis. Jederzeit wieder gerne 😋

Ich war noch nie dort zu Gast, aber für mich eine sichere Bank, wenn es darum geht, in der Nähe zum Leonrodplatz gut gemachtes indisches Essen für den Heimverzehr abzuholen. Ich habe die Karte bereits rauf und runter probiert und entdecke immer wieder neue Gaumenfreuden. Ein Anruf und spätestens 20 Minuten später kann das Schlemmen beginnen. Unbedingt ausprobieren.

Für mich definitiv das beste indische Restaurant der Stadt. Eine absolute Empfehlung! Wir waren schon mehrmals zu Besuch, weil uns das authentische indische Essen so gut schmeckt. In diesem Familienbetrieb wird Wert auf exzellente Qualität zu angemessenen Preisen gelegt. Es gibt eine reichhaltige Auswahl an vegetarischen und veganen Gerichten. Mein Favorit ist Malai Koftas und dazu Mango Lassi. Das Lokal hat ein modernes, stilvolles Ambiente mit indischen Akzenten. Highlight ist sicher der gigantische Deckenspiegel im gepflegten und sauberen Gastraum. Die herzlichen Gastgeber schaffen eine familiäre Atmosphäre mit einem schnellen und aufmerksamen Service. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Food was lip smacking. The lady in the restaurant is very cordial and warm. However, the owners can have a little more welcoming looks and attitude. We felt something off in first few minutes of our arrival but it all changed after the food was served. If you’re looking for delicious Indian food then do give this restaurant a try ☺️

Wir waren an einem Freitag-Abend zum Abendessen das erste Mal im Shiraj und wir kommen definitiv wieder!Neben dem frischen und super abgeschmeckten Essen,ist der Service und die Herzlichkeit der Besitzer besonders zu erwähnen.Leicht zurückgesetzt hinter einer Grünfläche an der Leonrodstraße gelegen ist das Shiraj ein richtiger Geheimtipp zum draußen sitzen.Der Innenbereich ist beeindruckend eingerichtet,absolut sehenswert⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Das Ambiente in dem großen, hohen Raum mit Deckenspiegel gefällt mir. Mittagsgericht mit sehr guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Food was okay, but worse than other Indian restaurants in the city. The waiter treated rudely when asked for vegetarian options. Since we wanted to take some left over bread, he reacted harshly and wanted to charge from some persons extra money. The serving did not contribute to a welcoming feeling. No recommendation.

Unglaublich leckeres Essen und toller Service. Angefangen vom Naan über Suppe mit Kichererbsen (muss man unbedingt probiert haben!) sind sowohl die vegetarischen, als auch die Fleischgerichte absolut köstlich. Wer gerne authentische indische Küche mag ist hier bestens aufgehoben!

Esse hier seit Jahren regelmäßig, mit Abstand das beste indische essen was ich je hatte.
