Hello everyone! We were guests at Shi last night! The service was very attentive and quick, the food was fresh and delicious. And although everything is freshly prepared in the open kitchen, we didn't have to wait very long for our food. The portions are really big and fill you up. Price/performance is 100% right! The restaurant is modern but comfortably furnished. Therefore, 5 stars from me/us in all categories 😉

Nice service (Zehra), duck ok and pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately the Tiger beer was out.

It has now become our regular place and we always enjoy coming. The staff is very courteous and competent.

We were looking for a good place to eat before the Blackout Problems concert and ended up here by chance after almost an hour of fruitless searching. And that was actually a happy coincidence. We said at the beginning that we were in Cologne for a concert that started in just under 70 minutes and asked if that would be possible in terms of time. Even though there was already a lot going on and we even ordered an appetizer each, everything worked out. I had a summer roll (the hoisin sauce is amazing!) and a nasi goreng. Both were extremely tasty and tasted very fresh. At the end there was even ice cream on the house to try. That was great too. Thank you for the delicious food and we will definitely come by again!

Ordered food by phone. When I arrived, the food for my family was already ready, but for the price I would expect larger aluminum bowls (portions). The roast duck was also dry.

I was at Shi for the second time yesterday and I was thrilled. I had fried duck with rice and salad (large portion), super tasty 😋 the sweet and sour sauce had an interesting taste, pure enjoyment. The duck was nice and crispy on the outside and the meat was nice and tender. I had a spring roll filled with vegetables and chicken in advance. The spring roll looked homemade and tasted excellent. The sauce with it was also very tasty. I could still recommend the peanut sauce! I was full so unfortunately I couldn't eat dessert 😂next time. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere is modern and cozy.

First of all I have to definitely praise the service here! The young lady was super friendly and, despite a lot of stress and a lot of visitors, she kept asking if we needed anything else, etc. On her recommendation, I tried the Huasmade Lemonade (Mango-Mint) and I absolutely fell in love with this drink! Sweet and super refreshing! The duck was very crispy and tasty, especially the fried noodles were amazing! If we didn't live so far away we would definitely eat here more often!

I felt comfortable and the food tasted good. It was already good, so I would go there a second and third time. But it wasn't an incredible special feature, so it's just one star less.

Super delicious food. At 5 p.m. there was hardly anyone there and we had our food after 5 minutes. Simple and very tasty cuisine.

I ordered for the second time and both times I forgot a dish. I called and pointed it out and the only solution I was offered was that they would deliver it to me again in an hour, even though I had already had to wait an hour. I declined this because I didn't want to wait another hour and no other agreement was found and, to be honest, the restaurant didn't try to find one either. I think this is very unprofessional behavior from a restaurant especially since I paid in advance and was not refunded anything. I ended up paying and didn't get what I ordered.

There were three of us in the house on Saturday, September 14th, 2024. Unfortunately we had very poor service, which spoiled our evening a bit. For the first time we received the wrong drink, instead of admitting his mistake the waiter simply leaves the wrong drink and runs away. We told him that the drink was wrong, but the waiter preferred to argue. For the main course we had no cutlery or napkins left. His attitude was just horrible. After going back and forth with the drink, I wanted to order something again and the waiter told me to hurry up. I used to wait tables myself and have never told guests to hurry up. The food was great and the atmosphere was really nice. We would like to come back but hopefully be served by someone else. I'm sure other people would have escalated this behavior from the waiter and even called a shift manager. Despite everything, we tried to remain calm and nice to this very disrespectful and rude waiter.

Rather negative. The noodles were quite ok, service was also quite good. Music was way too loud. The soap dispensers and towel dispensers were empty in the toilets. That looked rancid. We had reserved and got the last seat. But that wasn't a specially reserved place. We were just lucky. Better not again.

Food and service were first class. There were three of us here and no one had anything to complain about. Zehra served us very well and was friendly and present, but not intrusive.

The atmosphere is very modern and chic, you can also sit outside. When we were there on a Wednesday evening, there wasn't a single Asian among the employees, not even in the open kitchen, which is rather unusual for a restaurant with exclusively Asian food. The food was rather average and very blandly seasoned. The service was polite, but due to the rush it was very stressful and the food was delivered incorrectly. We tried it, but wouldn't recommend it.

I've been there about 4 times now, unfortunately the food is always just medium. The prices are premium. That doesn't fit.

The fried shi noodles were just greasy, no taste, the fried tofu was cold, the vegetables were raw. €14.50 for this is a disgrace. Convenience is ok - but like that? No thanks

The duck was good, although a little too dry. There was nothing authentic about the salad. A mango or papaya salad with cucumber or kohlrabi would be better. Or simply wok vegetables with soy. The summer rolls with shrimp are more like a rice paper burrito in size. The prawns were undercooked and tasteless and completely drowned out by the cilantro and vegetables. I couldn't find the chili sauce that was ordered. The service was very friendly. The restaurant looked clean and inviting. Would I eat here again? Probably not.

The food in the Shi restaurant was very good and we really enjoyed it. The waiters were very friendly, but the wait for the waiter was extremely long, which unfortunately marred our visit. Waiting for the invoice also took far too much time. It would be helpful if there were more waiters to speed up the service. Despite the delicious food and friendly service, we would like the service to be faster and more efficient.

Went there after a day of work and ordered a chicken noodle soup. Chicken meat almost fell apart on the tongue. Soup was great. Very friendly young staff. Definitely coming back. To the nice new employee: I hope that we see you there more often.

Pretty chill atmosphere. The food is a little different from authentic asian food. As a appetizer ordered spring rolls, they are too big to even dip in the sauce or hold it in my hand. Maybe better do more smaller rolls than these. The meat like duck and chicken were good, but salad too sour and rice too wet. Also got too much carrot for some reason.

The service was good, they spoke English on the phone when I ordered. I got there and they couldn’t find the person who took the order… my food was sitting in front of them😖 I get home- the chicken was crunchy and dry… The fried wontons were OVERLY filled with a weird tasting and texture meat, veggie mix and they were MUSHY!! Soft filled fried wontons 😖😩😭 and it was expensive. I’m Ehrenfeld I get the same order for 12€ less…. I’m sad. I was praying to find a good Asian restaurant in the area… I have to keep looking. The restaurant was EMPTY, yet all of the tables were a mess. There was a girl working there was standing talking to the cook making jokes while one guy ran around cleaning up. It’s a pretty place but it would be super embarrassing to have a date at a dirty restaurant. I hope they learn to make FLAT fried wontons like the other Chinese restaurants. I will try again one day when I have no options, it’s literally down the street.

We ate here by chance because it was so close to the concert location. The general ambience was very pleasant. The staff very friendly. We had the spring roll as a starter and two main courses. We really enjoyed the taste. We would come again

**Review: Shi Restaurant** I'm sorry to report that our visit to Shi Restaurant today was a total disappointment. When served, the food was only lukewarm, which was the first indication of the poor quality. The chicken skewer was particularly disappointing as it was extremely dry. My vegetable soup inexplicably had a whole lettuce on top, including onions - which made no sense at all. I don't understand what lettuce is doing in my soup. The main course, which was supposed to consist of rice, salad and crispy chicken, was also a disaster. The chicken was rock hard and inedible. You just couldn't eat it. Our entire experience was deeply disappointing. When we told the service staff that the food didn't taste good, we just asked for the bill. We weren't even offered anything on the house. In the end we paid almost €60 for nothing. Our visit was really a disappointment and we definitely won't recommend Shi Restaurant.

Unfortunately, our visit to the restaurant was very disappointing. Although it wasn't super crowded, our order, including drinks, was only taken after about 15 minutes. After another 30 minutes, after another inquiry, the drinks we ordered were brought to the table, although half were still missing. Since the tables next to us, who arrived later and ordered, had already had their food brought to them, we asked after a total of 50 minutes after arriving at the restaurant whether our order had even been taken, as the drinks were still incomplete be. The waitress replied, unfortunately a bit annoyed, that it was because of the bar. Another very helpful waitress then told us that neither drinks nor food had been provided and that the bottle of water we received was on the house in case we decided to eat somewhere else. The desire for the restaurant has completely disappeared and you will probably not visit again. It's a shame because the first impression was generally positive.

So in itself a very nice place, but totally disorganized. We sat inside almost next to the kitchen and you could see everything. I assume the boss was probably in the kitchen and it was very uncomfortable to sit next to him. All the time loud shouting about what the employees have to do, in a condescending way. The bell is ringing all the time that the food is ready. One time is enough and not 10 times. The staff were very friendly, especially the one with the red hair (I think her name was Hannah). Very friendly, courteous and confident waitress. Rarely have I seen such a strong waitress who deals with stress in such a way. Well, maybe you should think about who runs the store, who might yell less and be a little friendlier. In any case, it was very disruptive while eating.

Really good, my companion also liked and enjoyed it there, which is half the battle. To recommend.

The service person who took our order after requesting it after 20 minutes was supported the entire time by a very confident colleague. So you can say, depending on who is responsible for the guest, the service is great or flop. All I can say about the food is that it was really very good.

Unfortunately the food is not particularly tasty. I had Thai curry, which was a bit sticky and had nothing in common with a curry. My tea was forgotten. There was no soap or paper towels in the toilet.

Absolutely wonderful shop! Sorry for the language but that's how it is. The waitress today apparently didn't feel like working and told me that I was supposed to sit down, even though I just wanted more sweet and sour sauce (which I had to pay extra for). I don't even want to talk about the food, it was inedible and in the end we were told by the lady that no one had eaten it. Yes, why? The crowning glory was that one of my friends had to throw up in front of the shop from the food. If you just don't go in there, you'd rather go to FiveGuys next door. The service there was great and the man at the checkout was incredibly friendly.

The staff wasn't unfriendly, but not really friendly either. We had to organize cutlery ourselves. The meal with the “vegetarian topping” option includes, among other things: fish sauce, which is only included in one dish and is therefore no longer vegetarian. The spring rolls are too big for the dip, which tasted suspiciously like fish sauce... The food itself was okay, but my Peking soup was forgotten and could easily be canceled when paying. The portions were large and came quickly and the atmosphere is nice too. Our neoTaste voucher could not be redeemed due to technical difficulties (which in itself wouldn't be a big deal, but overall it was all very annoying). We won't go there again, but if you're neither vegan nor vegetarian, it's an okay restaurant.

Unfortunately the food was far too dry, supposed sauces were just dips. The service was subpar, one point is still too many. There were no chopsticks (statement: "We don't have anything like that") and no forks for eating, with the statement that they had to be washed up first, we'll bring them. However, they never arrived. The bill would have to be ordered 3 times so that it would finally be available after 45 minutes. I would never go there again, not recommended.

The waiter said he would bring some straight away (they probably still needed to be polished...), the forks never came to the table. The food was missing sauce. Some dishes came with a dip (consistency like pudding). We had to order the bill three times before it finally came - normally we could have left, as acceptance is delayed after 30 minutes. Only bad. Although it was incredibly busy due to an event nearby and everything took a while, the staff were incredibly friendly, cheerful and funny. The food was super tasty. Will definitely come back!!!

We were there before a concert and it was very convenient because of the proximity. However, it was disappointingly bad and we definitely wouldn't go back. We had soup, starter and main course. The soup went back immediately. The noodles were missing and it didn't taste like vegetable soup but like egg. The summer rolls were okay, but so big that you couldn't eat them. They fell apart. The main course arrived lukewarm and tasted of nothing. No joke, we added more seasoning and then left half of it. The fresh peppermint tea also tasted bland, there were hardly any peppermint leaves in it. The service was nice but not attentive. We sat at a table for two and barely had room to eat because everything was full and hadn't been put away. Unfortunately, all in all disappointing.

unclear agreements between the staff (Before we order, the staff clearly confirms to us: voucher for 2 cocktails for 1 is valid. When billing we are then told that it doesn't work and that we have to pay for both cocktails. If this had been communicated beforehand, we would definitely have ordered cheaper drinks.). Generally chaotic atmosphere and limited vegan selection. The rice noodles with tofu are very tasty and the food came pretty quickly :)

Stylish modern restaurant with hip decor, yet pleasant thanks to the furniture and lighting. The service was very messy, but so charming, friendly and attentive that we let everything pass. :-) The food tasted really delicious, was prepared quickly, rich and well prepared, we were both very satisfied. The selection is huge, you need some time to study the large map. If you want, you can put together your own plate, which I found remarkable. I can recommend the homemade lemonades, they are something special. Overall, a clear vote, I would love to come here again!

The food at this restaurant was simply disappointing. The food was brought to the table cold to lukewarm. After informing the staff, we received new food. Unfortunately this was still cold/lukewarm, which is a shame. The sauce had a strange thick consistency, almost like pudding, and the chicken was more breading than meat. The service staff was very friendly. However, no care was taken to clear the empty starter plates. Instead of clearing this away, the table was served with the main course. Only after asking if the empty starter plates could be cleared away was this partially done. The restaurant accommodated us because of the cold food, but the entire experience was still an absolute disaster. Absolutely not recommended.

The restaurant itself looks very nice, but the food in terms of taste is very average. You do get a big portion, but it has nothing to do with authentic Asian cuisine. Prices on the website are currently not up to date as the actual prices are a bit higher. Service was great and friendly. There is also Tiger beer on tap!

The service tried hard, even if it was a bit “imprecise”. It took a while until the drink we actually ordered was brought! It was a bit drafty and not exactly warm. The food was themed, but unspectacular.

Very tasty food and really inexpensive, especially at lunchtime. Good value for money. However, very loud when the store is full.

Nice atmosphere, friendly reception and very nice service. The food was very tasty, only the dishes in dough casings have a very thick coating so that the taste of the dough is overshadowed. Furthermore, the lamps next to the table are blinding; they are very bright. All in all, we felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

The food is good, but you have to wait an extremely long time because there are only 2 waitresses. We were in the store for 2 3/4 hours for starters and main courses. Just contacting the waitress for the bill took 20 minutes.
