Delicious setting and karaage, friendly staff, beautiful and quiet atmosphere.

They don't speak English and the waitress is very rude. Fortunately, the other one is much more polite and polite.

Our visit was unfortunately disappointing. We were seated at a table way in the back, overlooking the Postbank – not at all pleasant. The waiter forgot about us several times, and we had to wait a long time before we could order anything.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A real insider tip for ramen fans! This was our first time at Coco Ramen in Cologne – and definitely not the last! As big ramen lovers, we had the Chanpon Ramen with breaded shrimp and the Lucky Ducky Ramen with crispy duck. Both dishes were absolutely delicious – rich, well-seasoned, and with great toppings. The quality of the ingredients was excellent, and the prices are more than fair for what you get. The homemade iced teas and lemonades were also really delicious – definitely not mass-produced, but made with love. The shop is clean, tidy, and cozy. We were there on a Thursday evening; it was about 40% full, but our food still arrived very quickly. The service was friendly and attentive. Verdict: All in all, a success! Delicious food, great atmosphere, fair price. We'd love to come back! 🍜🥢

Terrible ramen: tasteless, tough meat, stale vegetables, like frozen. The broth wasn't salty at all, and there was no distinct flavor. I don't understand why this place has such a high rating. I wouldn't even eat here for free. Very disappointed. There weren't even any spices on the table, no sesame oil or chili oil.

The food was okay, although the broth used to be much better. Unfortunately, the extra corn we ordered (a tablespoon of corn for €1) was forgotten with the ramen. After we called the waiter, it was added to the ramen. The "crispy" duck was unfortunately very mushy, and the breading immediately spread throughout the ramen. The restrooms were abysmal. One of the two functioning urinals out of three had an inexplicable brown substance, and the other was covered in unspecified hair. The regular restrooms were also very dirty, and the toilet brushes clearly hadn't been used in a while.

It wasn't my first time there. But today, unfortunately, it was completely unsatisfactory. Neither the service nor the food was what you'd expect. Starting with the service...there were dishes from previous guests lying around at a few tables, which in itself isn't a problem. Then there was a long wait before a server even came over to take our drinks and food orders. After ordering, the drinks and food came relatively quickly. I didn't even finish the starter before the main course arrived. The starter (spring rolls) unfortunately had one spring roll that was completely soggy on the back (the side that was on the plate). It looked as if it had been swimming past the frying oil. The main course (chicken ramen) tasted okay. The broth, compared to the other times we've eaten there, tasted very industrial and made from instant broth. At that time, a waitress was collecting leftover dishes from other tables, but then left them on a table in the middle of the restaurant so she could eat with her team. Unfortunately, by the time we were finished, our appetizers had still not been cleared away, so we had to move them to other tables to save space. When paying, I politely declined the suggestion, "A tip for the good service?" The three of us paid a total of €89 for three non-alcoholic drinks, three appetizers, and three ramen dishes, and we are absolutely not satisfied. We will choose other restaurants in the future.

We ate there twice during our week in Cologne and really enjoyed it. The food was absolutely delicious, with a huge selection. The cocktails were great too. Definitely worth a visit.

For the price, it's okay at best

The ramen isn't exactly cheap, but it's incredibly fresh and delicious! The Mango Strawberry Ice Tea is a dream!

The food was actually quite good, and the price/performance ratio was also okay. However, the restrooms desperately need to be cleaned; we felt uncomfortable there. When paying by card, we were only verbally informed at the cashier that card payments were only possible for amounts over €30. I think this should be clearly signposted. We each only had a lunch dish for around €13 and then had to fork out our "emergency" cash. All in all, unfortunately, it wasn't a pleasant experience.

Very friendly service and super delicious food

After a long day in Cologne, the evening here was truly lovely. Incredibly delicious ramen and sushi, along with excellent service. One star deducted for the noise level, which was unfortunately quite loud. Admittedly, the place was also packed... Still, an absolute recommendation ❤️

Four of us went here for ramen. Everyone had a different dish. We thought the taste was okay. The wontons and sushi were delicious. We were there on a Friday afternoon, and it wasn't busy, so the wait for the food was relatively short. The restrooms are a disaster. We wouldn't go again.

It was the best ramen experience in Cologne! A short two-day city trip, and we were looking for a place to eat. As a ramen lover, how could we not stop at this amazing spot? Having just come back from Japan in February, I can honestly say the ramen here comes very close! The broth is excellent and flavorful, the meat is tender and delicious… for a moment, I felt like I was back in Japan. It was so good that we went back the very next day. I highly recommend the wonton ramen (which I had and absolutely loved) and the chicken udon with its incredible chicken! If you’re hesitating about going, don’t! Expect to have an experience that truly feels like being in Japan, rich in flavor.

The sushi was delicious. Crispy on the outside and warm on the inside. Very friendly service. I highly recommend it.

I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant. The food was terrible and arrived very late. On top of that, it’s quite expensive compared to other restaurants. A complete waste of time and money.

This is very important. Leider is this Essen gar nicht gut. There is a lot of energy, there are many problems with our customers - and there is a lot of war in the comment box: there is a solution, this person has money and personal data. All, this is the case: I have and have other Restaurants available, and there are plenty of prices in the same place and other nearby Restaurants. I do not recommend it at all. Unfortunately, the food is not good at all. I had read the reviews, but we still wanted to try it – and it turned out exactly as described in the comments: too salty, disgusting kitchen, and very rude staff. To everyone reading this: I've tried other restaurants, and for the same price, you can go to much better and higher-quality restaurants. A very bad restaurant. Unfortunately, I asked more than once about the pork, and the proof was the first employee who said they don't use anything that came in contact with pork in the meals ordered. However, I was suspicious because of the taste, so I asked another employee, and he told me they use pork-related items in all the meals. I don't recommend anyone go there. We made a mistake, and we tried. We ask God for forgiveness.

Best conditions I have ever eaten!!!

We traveled over 100km here, of course, we were shopping, BUT everyone was looking forward to the cream noodles, and what can I say: 11/10 and more 😍😍😍 We ate chilled cream noodles, Lucky Ducky cream noodles, mango curry with rice, two duck dishes, edemame, spring rolls, and even dessert!!! I can recommend it wholeheartedly!!!! Then we had Tiger beer, homemade lemonade, everything was absolutely delicious!!! We'd love to come back again!

I've tried ramen at several restaurants in Cologne. I liked the broth here the best. The selection is varied, and everything is freshly prepared!

Maybe it was just my imagination, but after eating that meat, my stomach wasn't feeling quite right. Despite the low number of customers, the staff brought my food before my drink, or rather, I had to alert the waiter; apparently, it wasn't even included in the order. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as great as many reviews claim. After this visit, I avoided ramen for the rest of my stay in Cologne, as otherwise I'd be thinking about this place.

The ramen, especially the lunch menu, is very reasonably priced, delicious, and filling. The cheapest ones start at €10.90. Unfortunately, card payments are only accepted for orders over €30, which we only found out when we arrived. I was particularly impressed by the large and plentiful tofu and the abundance of vegetables. The curry ramen is highly recommended :)

I sat down first and then decided to take the food I ordered to go. Despite the circumstances, the service was friendly, quick, and courteous. I didn't eat the takeaway food until a little later, when it was no longer quite hot but just warm. The portion was large, but unfortunately, the flavor was lacking a certain something. Perhaps that was due to the takeaway, though, I can't say for sure. I probably wouldn't pick it up again. Overall, though, I wouldn't mind trying the restaurant again.

It was my first time here and I'll definitely be back. I love sushi but don't like cream cheese; leaving it out here wasn't a problem. I had the Fire Mango Salmon Roll, and it was one of the most delicious sushi rolls I've ever eaten.

Overall a good experience. Pet friendly (at least with our service dog). Ramen was good, although the noodles were not the best quality. Sushi was average, nothing really special. We also found a black thick hair in the ramen... The waitress was friendly, but the guys in the kitchen did not look friendly at all.

Tastes quite good, homemade lemonade bomb

Great food, but unfortunately, the restrooms are a no-go I recently went to Coco Ramen with a friend and I have to say: the food was absolutely amazing! The ramen was outstanding – intensely flavorful, freshly prepared, and lovingly presented. The service was also very friendly, attentive, and quick, so we felt completely at ease throughout our meal. The ambiance is simple but pleasant – just the thing for a relaxed evening with good food. However, there was one major disappointment: the restrooms. On our way to the restroom, we unfortunately discovered that they were in really poor condition – very dirty, partially broken (loose toilet lids), little to no toilet paper, no way to dry our hands, and a complete lack of sanitizer. That was a real shame and, unfortunately, a stark contrast for a restaurant with such high-quality food. I really hope this will be improved soon – because Coco Ramen has great potential to become a real favorite.

Recht beliebiges Essen, kein besonderes Geschmackserlebnis. Dasselbe Essen habe ich in einem Imbiss schon wesentlich besser bekommen. Die Fleischbeilage kostete 6,- € extra, dafür war es definitiv zu wenig. Wenn wir gewusst hätten, dass man uns schon um 21:30 Uhr hinauskomplimentieren würden (obwohl es offiziell bis 22:00 Uhr geht), hätten wir keinen Wein bestellt, den wir dann nicht mehr austrinken konnten. Es liefen einige Mäuse im Speisesaal herum, auf die wir das Personal aufmerksam machten. Das schien bereits bekannt zu sein, und es kümmerte sich niemand darum.

I read the negative reviews and can't confirm this. We did have to wait a bit at first to order, but the drinks and food arrived quite quickly. For starters, we had baked wontons, which were quite tasty. My boyfriend had raw salmon and baked sushi, and I had the shoru soup. I was initially impressed by that. Then I realized it was "regular" spaghetti and not typical ramen. It tasted really good.

Allergens noted and canceled were ignored for both ordered dishes. In addition, there was an extremely long wait of an hour before we could even order, and an even longer wait for the food itself, which ultimately arrived only lukewarm.

Food is average. We were 3 people and we are familiar with Japanese cuisine, and none of us really liked his food. In addition, waiting time was horrible. 25 minutes to be seated even when they had free tables (they just didn’t have time to clean the tables because they served food as well), and then 15 more minutes to order, and 1 full hour until we received our food. Unbelievable!

Unfortunately, I wasn't entirely satisfied with my visit. We were there on a Friday around 1 p.m., and the place was relatively busy but not overly crowded. We sat outside, but the waitresses took their time to come to us, and we had to keep asking for directions. We also had to wait over 40 minutes for our food, which, while tasty, was ultimately rather mediocre and somewhat uninspiring. It got busier as our visit progressed; perhaps all the employees were just stressed, but it wasn't a pleasant experience for us. I did like the drinks, though; they had some homemade lemonades and iced teas that sounded delicious. And the menu clearly indicated, with little icons, which dishes were vegetarian, vegan, or spicy.

I don't understand the good reviews here.. we waited an extreeeeee long time for our food.. had ramen with breaded chicken, the breading was completely soggy, it really didn't taste good, we just forced ourselves to finish eating, can't recommend the place at all, sorry

The restaurant was a complete mess. We were extremely hungry, had to wait forever, and when the food finally arrived, it was very salty. The drinks also took far too long. No communication, no service, no respect for the guests' time. Never again.

I honestly don't understand all the good reviews. Four of us arrived shortly before 1 p.m. and asked for a table outside. The tables were extremely dirty; there were no menus or cutlery out, so we waited for a while. But since we only had limited time (the train was leaving in 90 minutes), we went inside to ask for a menu, which we were given. After quite a while, the waiter came and took our orders and also cleaned the table. So far, so good. Unfortunately, it took about 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive, and another 20 minutes (at least) for the food to arrive. In the meantime, a friend of ours had to go in THREE times to ask, and she always said "2 minutes, just a minute." When the food finally arrived, it was at its best: mediocre. I've had MUCH better food, and I somehow didn't feel comfortable/happy afterwards, which was probably due to the whole experience. My friend's noodles were also stuck together in a large "blob" and still raw in the middle (see picture). When we went up to pay, the waitress had no idea where our table was or what we'd ordered and apparently couldn't find it in the system. So we had to repeat what we had and she typed it into the calculator... Overall, our visit here used up exactly the 90 minutes, and we ended up having to run to the main station. Normally, you can expect food to arrive faster, and it would at least have tasted better after the wait. PS: There were other tables occupied outside (so it wasn't like we were sitting far away from the action) and it wasn't that busy inside either. And yet, the waitress didn't even bother to check on us ONCE, and we had to ask for everything ourselves. We won't be back.

I waited an hour, the food is not very good, and there are too few service staff

I went to Coco Ramen in the center of Cologne and was quite disappointed. The wait time was over an hour, and no one informed us. Some dishes arrived cold, and the drinks took forever. Yes, the food tasted really good—probably the reason for the 4.7 stars—but the service and organization were simply poor. If you're hungry and expecting normal service, I wouldn't recommend this place.

The food tasted very simple, nothing special. They cooked and served quickly. A big minus to the establishment for the poor hood in the kitchen. The kitchen is open and when they started to actively fry something, the cafe filled with smoke and there was an unpleasant smell of burning. After the establishment, we smelled unpleasantly of burnt food.

There were tons of vegan dishes. I ordered a vegan udon ramen. It was incredibly delicious! The homemade lemon iced tea was also very good. The price is generally slightly more expensive, but absolutely within the normal range for Asian food. But for the quality and service, it's also perfect! Ideas for improvement: reusable chopsticks (the disposable wooden ones always break off chips, so you have to be careful not to get them in your food). And I miss a vegan dessert. Overall, a well-deserved 10/10, and we'd be happy to come back :)

An absolute feast for the palate... so delicious

The food was very tasty and was served quickly. The sushi was really big, I didn't think so. I can only recommend the homemade iced peach tea! I also really liked the dessert (mochi ice cream). I would definitely come again.

Unfriendly staff, disrespectful 🐤

The food is super salty so that we could barely eat ramen and rice with chicken. The good thing was that they put lots of greens. But the salt was overwhelming 🤮🤢 The service is so-so as the waiters were not coming to get the order and couldn't respond to the questions whether the noodles or udon have gluten... 🙈 So never again.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The ambience is narrow but fits the style. I was very disappointed with the taste of the ramen tempura and was expecting much more given the good reviews.

If you are looking for a nice atmosphere and want to get good ramen that is also beautifully prepared, this is the place for you. We were impressed by the food and will be back. Card payment possible. And yes, the ramen is one of the tastiest I have personally had in Cologne so far. And I like eating ramen ;-)
