Shezan in Berlin

We ate there two days in a row because we enjoyed it so much the first time. The food was incredibly delicious, the atmosphere was cozy, and the waiters were very friendly and attentive. The price-performance ratio was also excellent. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back on our next visit to Berlin.

I’ve dined at Shezan Indian restaurant a few times and the experience was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment I walked in, the warm aromas of freshly ground spices and simmering tastes set the tone for an exceptional meal. The menu offers a perfect balance of classic favorites and unique regional specialties. Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic flavour rich, layered, and clearly crafted with care. The butter chicken was velvety and perfectly spiced, the biryani fragrant and beautifully balanced, and the garlic naan was soft, pillowy, and fresh from the tandoor. What truly sets this place apart is the attention to detail. Presentation was elegant without being pretentious, portions were generous, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They were happy to offer recommendations and tailor spice levels to our taste. The ambiance is warm and inviting, blending modern decor with subtle Indian accents that make the space both comfortable and stylish. Whether you're looking for a cozy dinner, a family gathering, or a celebratory night out, this restaurant delivers on every front. Shezaan Restaurant is an absolute gem for anyone who loves authentic Indian cuisine. The food is consistently flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. Their Jhinga Vindaloo is a standout perfectly cooked prawns in a rich, spicy sauce that has just the right amount of heat. And the Butter Chicken is another must-try, creamy, aromatic, and full of depth, it’s easily one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the ambiance makes for a comfortable dining experience whether you’re with family, friends, or on a date. Highly recommend Shezaan for anyone craving quality Indian food, you won’t be disappointed!

The Mutton Buna which I had was fantastic, though the Chicken Singapuri is so so and not sure what exactly supposedly makes it Singaporean. My friend was disappointed with his Mango Paneer. Service is good, which should be expected for a place that is a little bit more expensive that your normal Indian restaurant in Berlin.

My second time in Berlin, my first time at Shezan. For me, it's the best authentic Indian restaurant I've ever been to. The butter chicken was delicious, and the meat was wonderfully tender. The servers are very attentive and super nice and friendly. I felt very well looked after and the food was delicious. A 10/10 for this restaurant. I highly recommend it.

We had the mixed platter, which was delicious. You can walk directly into the restaurant from the hotel. In the summer, you can sit outside, which is great.

Wonderful food, from vegan to lamb, which was extremely tender. The location on the Spree is picturesque, even though the boat is unfortunately gone. The waiters and waitresses were all courteous, quick, and attentive. The prices are also completely reasonable.

The food is not very authentic. Especially the salt lasi, which is the worst I have ever had. It‘s like drinking full fat milk, there is no yogurt taste at all. Will not come back.

The two of us went on a Saturday and sat on the terrace right by the water. The atmosphere was fantastic and truly idyllic. The menu featured an extensive selection of Indian dishes. We felt at home and were completely full after our starters and main courses. We highly recommend a visit. Very good value for money.

He just looked at us and asked, 'Food?' we replied, 'Yes,' and he handed us the menus, saying, 'Fast,' before walking away. We arrived to the restaurant at 8:00 PM, so it wasn't close to closing time, and even if the kitchen was about to stop serving, it could have been communicated in a more courteous manner. This experience ruined the entire atmosphere for us, so we decided to get up and leave.
