The restaurant's atmosphere is very inviting and cozy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The menu is very varied and offers a wide selection. Most dishes are delicious and generous in portions. The prices are reasonable. Overall, we were very satisfied and would happily return.

My local bar/restaurant for chatting with friends. The owner is super nice, attentive, and caring. Cocktails are extremely affordable, the food is delicious, the direct connection to S-Bahn Ostkreuz is perfect, and the interior is very chic. What more could you want? :D

Very affordable and, above all, very good drinks, and the selection too! The food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed and laid-back. I highly recommend it! :D

Good value for money. The salad and rice are pre-portioned and not placed on the table for everyone. Unfortunately, you can only pay in cash on site.

Very tasty cocktails at a reasonable price. The service is friendly, the cocktails taste delicious, are a normal size, and everything you'd expect from a good cocktail. No difference to €10 drinks. I can do without the decorations.

Really delicious food, really, but the boss is a bit too full of himself. Just look at the comments he makes in the other reviews. No card payments accepted, I wonder why. Tipping is actually an option, but he comes along and says, "Come on, round up." It's actually a really cozy place, but the service is so-so.

Three of us went out for dinner in the evening. We were greeted very warmly right from the start. There's a good vegetarian and vegan selection; we had a delicious Vegetable Sizzler. The very reasonably priced cocktails were also impressive. We'd love to come back!

One of the few Indian restaurants in the district that offers decent draft beer, and of course the obligatory happy hour cocktails, which are unfortunately a bit thin here. Otherwise, the menu offers the usual classics at fair prices: solid, better seasoned than those at the tourist Indians, but not a flavor explosion and rather lackluster spice. The big plus point is the poppadoms, which come with decent sauces. The downside is that—as has been apparent in the reviews here for some time—they apparently can't seem to get their cash register system under control. Neither Visa nor Mastercard worked, only Girocard, but there was no advance notice of this. If one of us hadn't happened to have an old debit card with us, they would have been stuck with the bill. Edit: How does the ATM across the street prevent you from being stuck with the bill? If you withdraw money there, it comes out of your account, not mine. Otherwise, I'm always happy when I get the impression that restaurateurs take their customers seriously and are willing to offer them the best possible user experience.

Highly recommended shop. Food prepared with love, the owner is very kind and attentive, as are his staff. We were there with our class, and everyone got their food quickly, and all their requests were met.

We've been coming here with our family for years when we're in Berlin and are always warmly welcomed. The food is delicious, and the mix of Indian and Mexican cuisine is perfect for us, so everyone can find something they like. Thank you for the wonderful evening last Friday! A lovely evening with five people!! In addition to the lovely ambiance and good food, there are also some great paintings by a Ukrainian artist to admire.

Some of us actually wanted to eat here. But the staff did everything they could to make us leave without ordering. The place was almost empty by 5 p.m. Since we weren't sure when we walked in whether all three of us would eat, we were offered a tiny, round table with only two chairs right in front of the restroom. I then said that we wouldn't eat by the restroom when there were so many free tables. Somewhat reluctantly, we were given a larger table right by the counter. Passive-aggressively, we were told that it was reserved from 7 p.m., so we would have to leave at 6:30 p.m. ... Just as we had sat down, we were told that we had to pay in cash. I have no idea what the problem is with card payments in restaurants when you're paying your taxes, but I'll never know whether the food here is really that good as long as this rude guy is working the reception. We ended up in a burger place around the corner, where they were friendly and accepted card payments.

Great shop with a large cocktail menu. All drinks are fairly priced and the cocktails taste great. I'd love to come back any time I'm in Berlin. A recommendation for Friedrichshain.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is very inviting and cozy, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The menu is very diverse and offers a large selection. Most of the dishes are very tasty and the quantity is generous, the prices are adequate and not too expensive. Unfortunately, the tenders were a bit tasteless and didn't really impress, but all in all we are very satisfied and would like to come back.

Personally, I find the mix of Mexican and Indian cuisine a bit strange. I often eat Indian food and had Chicken Madras there. It was pretty average in taste, but extremely inexpensive. My companion had enchiladas combinadas and was thrilled.

We come in, the boss: "What do you want?" When we told them we wanted something to drink, they kicked us out. It was 11 p.m., many tables were free and we absolutely had to order food? Incredible!

Salt & Pepper is my go-to restaurant for Indian food! The price-performance ratio is great: generous portions at fair prices and the taste is simply great. The atmosphere is cozy and you almost feel at home. The owner in particular is super friendly and extremely accommodating, which always makes a visit here something special. Whether curry or naan – absolute recommendation :)
