We visited this restaurant twice while visiting Berlin from Australia. They not only gave us excefood and service but made us feel like we are at home. They are very friendly and accommodating.

I've been eating here regularly for about six months, both take away and in house and am very impressed with the quality of both the food and the service. The kitchen here is oriented toward North Indian, Punjabi style cuisine so it tends to be milder, with creamy, rich sauces and not heavy on hot chili peppers. A stand out are the samosas which are some of the best I've ever eaten. I asked the waiter and he tells me they are made fresh daily in house and that's how they taste: fresh and delicious. If you've stopped ordering samosas at other restaurants because they always seem to be lifeless and greasy, try them here, you'll be glad you did. Other dishes I've tried are the Punjabi Eggplant, in a tomato cream sauce with almonds and raisins as well as several chicken dishes which were also excellent. Service is friendly and professional, the atmosphere is tasteful and not overdone and there's a nice terrace for outdoor dining. Masala is well worth a visit!

The most unauthentic Indian food I have eaten in Berlin. I am not sure the chefs have ever visited India. Dishes are boring and blandly flavoured.

There is a pleasant atmosphere in this restaurant, which is enhanced by the friendly service. The food is delicious and the price-performance ratio is definitely right. Masala is definitely perfect for a nice meal with friends and family, but also for enjoying alone.

We have already visited and tested quite a few Indian restaurants. Unfortunately, in this one we have to criticize the taste of the food. Shahi Panir tastes like warmed up ketchup sauce without any taste or seasoning. The balloon bread and garlic naan also don't have a "typical taste". Salad (garnish) was also a bit older and already brown in one place. Dear restaurant owners, you have a nice place there, make something of it. Indian cuisine is full of spice and thousands of flavor nuances. See this as a positive criticism.

Very tasty and very nice service

Ate at Masala Restaurant for the first time today. I have to say that overall the food was pretty good and we really enjoyed it. The ambience/location was also very relaxed and inviting. Unfortunately I have to say that we were very disappointed with the service. Unfortunately, there was never a single question about whether everything was okay with us or whether we were missing something. Everything had to happen on demand. When the rice was empty, I waited until an independent question came about for a second helping. Unfortunately in vain. The service seemed very disinterested. We wouldn't eat there again.

Probably difficult to find as a tourist; It was a tip from a local friend. I listened to the cellar's recommendation and chose a main course from the special menu! This and the starters that I also like to eat at home were extremely tasty and absolutely sufficient in quantity. Together with the very friendly staff we had a very nice evening there. I can only give 4 stars for the ambience because we sat in the beer garden and I can't say anything about the inside. But I will definitely eat there again when I come back to Berlin!

Hier sitzt man - obwohl mitten in der Stadt - wunderbar ruhig vor dem Lokal und ißt sehr gut gewürzte Speisen u.a. mit frischen Ingwer und Koriander, dazu gutes Faßbier. Aufgrund insgesamt guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnisses bestellt man gerne Vorspeise, da dies der einzige uns bekannte Inder ist, der nicht den indischen Gruß aus der Küche, Papadam mit Saucen, bietet. Völlig zurückhaltender Service ist auch authentisch. Beste Bezahlmöglichkeiten.

We are happy to have “discovered” this restaurant in the neighborhood. After our favorite Indian restaurant closed, we searched for a long time for a good Indian restaurant. On our first visit we were immediately won over by the beautiful interior, pleasant, attentive service and great food. Thank you!

Waren sehr zufrieden, Getränke und Essen ließen nicht lange auf sich warten. Hat wirklich sehr lecker geschmeckt und der Service war sehr gut und alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Nette Bedienung.. erklärt auch die Hauspezialitäten und deren Schärfe das Restaurant war rel. leer (17h), daher hatte die Bedienung Zeit für uns hier findet jeder entwas für seinen Geschmack

Was da aus der Küche kam, war purer Genuss. Die Soßen ganz fein gewürzt. Fisch und Fleisch genau richtig gegart. Der Service zuvorkommend und sehr aufmerksam. Gediegenes, schönes Ambiente. Sehr faire Preise für diese hohe Qualität! Ein Muss für ein Wiedersehen...

Tolles indisches Restaurant! Mein Highlight sind die veganen Gerichte 😻 Alles frisch zubereitet, große Portionen und leicht verdaulich. Der Reis ist sehr gut, was ich für sehr wichtig empfinde. Auch die Vorspeisen und Brote sind ausgesprochen lecker. Preise sind angemessen. Definitiv ein Besuch wert.

Visited Berlin for the second time and found this amazing place. Very nice food and amazing staff. Sarvan paaji (Staff who served us. Hope I spelled the name correctly), thank you. We were very impressed by the outstanding service we received. Coming to food, we ordered matar paneer along with naan and mango lassi. It was really good. I have no doubt that I will come back again. Highly recommend.

Sehr leckeres indisches Essen zu guten Preisen.

Die Speisen und Getränke waren buchstäblich hervorragend. Leider erinnert das Exterieur etwas an einen Campingplatz. Die Freundlichkeit versteckte sich auch etwas und das absolute NoGo für mich war das Abwischen der Tische mit den benutzten Servietten.

Wir gehen immer wieder gerne zum Essen ins Masala. Freundlich , gutes Essen und guter Service.

Wir waren an dem Abend zu viert im Restaurant Masala auf der Terrasse essen. Die Speisen waren alle sehr mild gewürzt, und wenig Scharf ,allerdings hatte keiner von uns die auf der Speisekarte mit 3 Pimente gekennzeichneten Gerichte ausgewählt. Die Mixed Pakora haben geschmeckt und die Portion war mehr als ausreichend für eine Vorspeise, auch die Dips dazu waren lecker. Das Butter Chicken war zart und auch eher vorsichtig gewürzt. Das Aloo Gobi Adraki, mein Lieblingsgericht wenn ich in Indien bin war im Vergleich Okay aber auch hier fehlte es mir an Gewürze und Schärfe. Der zu den Speisen servierte Basmatireis war wirklich sehr gut. Der Service, war weder schlecht noch sehr gut, irgendwie desinteressiert. Die Flaschen ob nun Wasser oder Wein werden auf den Tisch gestellt, danach kann sich jeder am Tisch nachschenken. Etwas merkwürdig fand ich auch die Frage ob wir frische Teller für die Hauptspeisen möchten oder die bereits für die Vorspeisen benutzen Teller behalten möchten.

War das 1. Mal dort. Es hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt! Heute[06.08.23] das 2.Mal hier. War wieder lecker. Es könnte allerdings etwas mehr Soße im Fleischteller sein. Vorspeise Tomatensuppe, Hauptspeise Lamm mit Knoblauch, Ingwer und Gemüse.

Leider stark nachgelassen (neue Bewirtschaftung?) vor 5 Jahren fand ich hier noch alles super, mittlerweile sind die Preise extrem hoch und das Curry schmeckt leider nicht mehr so intensiv, Reis auch nicht mehr so gut. Schade.

Sehr zu empfehlen. Freundlicher Service, schönes Ambiente und leckere, authentische Küche. Wir freuen uns auf unseren nächsten Besuch.

We go there every time we visit family in Berlin, once to properly dine out and then another few times to just have a mango lassi and enjoy the atmosphere. The experience has always been great, they have amazing service and the food is really good! I love going there and can't wait for the next time we visit!

Eigentlich Gehört die indische Küche nicht zu meinen Favoriten. Aber auf Grund einer Empfehlung sind wir dort hin. Wir Saßen im Biergarten vor der Tür. Die Stühle nicht wirklich bequem. Das Essen war lecker. Die Portionen waren groß. Geschmacklich war es fein abgestimmt. Preislich ok. Visa möglich.

Grosse Karte, welche verschiedenste Gerichte offeriert. Sehr freundliches und positives Team, das mit einem schnellen Service überzeugt. Auch die Gerichte sind immer sehr schön angerichtet. Empfehlenswert ob alleine oder wenn mit Freunden unterwegs.

Ich hatte eine wirklich tolle Zeit hier. Das Essen ist einfach perfekt, sehr lecker und schmackhaft. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und ich fühle mich willkommen. Die Atmosphäre ist ruhig, vor allem draußen und drinnen sieht es authentisch aus. Komme auf jeden Fall wieder.

Wunderbares Essen in toller Atmosphäre. Im Sommer sitzt man toll draussen, aber auch drinn ist es ein sehr angenehm, stilvoll eingerichtetes Restaurant - eines meiner liebsten hier im Eck. Es schmeckt lecker, die Bedienung ist sehr nett ohne aufdringlich zu sein und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis fühlt sich gut an.

Leider enttäuschend. Das Palak Paneer schmeckte an Gewürzen völlig überladen und war einerseits zu süß, andererseits zu scharf. Der Reis war verkocht und stark verklebt. Das Garlic Naan war nicht richtig ausgebacken und die groben Knoblauchstücke darauf geschmacklos. Ein sehr gut gibt es allerdings für den Mango Lassi
