I ordered a takeout dish and they gave me a completely different one. I went back to the restaurant to say there was a mistake, and they didn't replace the dish. The waiter was very unfriendly, even aggressive, and they offered me no solution because they accused me of making the mistake. The service is terrible, I lost my money, and they ruined my day. I don't recommend this restaurant because I couldn't even talk to them to find a solution, and they didn't want to refund my money either. I don't recommend it at all because it was a terrible experience. A shame.

I ate here with my choir after a concert, and despite the crowds, the service was incredibly good and fast. The food and drinks were delicious, and I will definitely be back.

Very good food and welcoming staff. The dishes are so generous, we even had to ask for lunch boxes. The price was very competitive; we spent very little on drinks, a first course, and various appetizers. Excellent place.

The cocktails were soooo delicious!!! The appetizers were also beyond reproach and truly delicious - be careful of the sauces, they were spicy. €4.90 is a really great price for the cocktails, and the service was excellent too!

I always enjoy coming here. Great value for money and very authentic food. The staff is also very attentive and friendly.

After the change of ownership, nothing is as it once was. 17 great years. Mixed pakora, a disaster, dripping with oil. The main course tasted very much like a ready-made mix. On top of that, they brought the wrong drinks, then the wrong grilled dish, and I was told it was my fault. I'd ordered the wrong thing. Never again.

We went there on a Friday afternoon but it was empty. We were seated immediately and offered menus. The service was impeccable. We even got complimentary mango Laasi drinks.

The food was delicious and plentiful. Since we ate during the lunch special, it was very reasonably priced. The naan was very large and thick, which we loved. The restaurant has a very sweet decor. We received a warm welcome and were served in the same way until the end. We will definitely be back :)

Well-seasoned food. The naan and bhatura weren't as thin as usual, which I really liked. The waiter was very friendly and the restaurant was beautifully designed. I paid around €35 for the lunch special, two dishes with naan bread and bhatura, plus two teas.

I love Shaan. The seating is especially nice on the terrace. The food is always good, fresh, and delicious. The staff is attentive and simply charming! Highly recommended!

The food is quite good. And since prices haven't increased in recent years, in my opinion, as is typical for the industry, the price-performance ratio is actually good now, which wasn't the case before. The problem, however, is that you don't feel welcome at all in the place. The ambiance alone contributes to this. In fact, some of the staff are extremely unfriendly, especially towards children. Tips aren't properly acknowledged either. Perhaps €10 on a €70 bill is below expectations. At least not enough to get a liqueur on the house, which was customary in the past, or a friendly word. They also apparently consider goodbyes when leaving the place unnecessary. It was my first time there in many years. I probably won't be back anytime soon...

We ate there three times by now, with two being take aways. We tried their Palak Paneer, Mutton Sabji, and some Masor Dal. They all tasted splendid! The restaurant looks tidy, clean, and welcoming. The waiter is a bit hit and miss; one gave me a Mango Lassi on the house while I waited, but another elderly must have had a bad day when we ate there with a group.

I really enjoy coming here. Everything is always super tasty, large portions, relaxed atmosphere and very good service. Be sure to try the house recommendations :)

Unfortunately, “our” Shaan has lost a lot of energy at Richardplatz. The soups are served in a tin cup, similar to those in a nursing home. The kitchen is shaking. We ordered the chicken salad and asked the waitress that the meat should be spicy and fried (we've had bad experiences in the past). Nevertheless, the quick plate with almost raw pieces of chicken came to the table. But after the complaint it was OK. Toilet paper is often missing in the women's toilet. The (new) service is friendly but unfortunately very inattentive. We only come to happy hour because of the unbeatably cheap cocktails.

The food is really not good, I would personally advise against visiting.

One word: INCREDIBLE!!! After a long day on a business trip, we were looking for something to eat and ended up here. And to be honest, I've never had Indian food so good. Everything is wonderfully seasoned, the meat is tender as butter and the portions are so large that it takes a lot of effort to manage them (and I'm a very good eater). And at prices where I expected perhaps half the amount. An absolute recommendation from me!

6 stars!! May be the best Indian I've ever had. Quiet hidden little restaurant with a very cool decor. Tight parking area, but it is a nice part of the neighborhood.

I like Indian fish dishes, which are much less popular and less available than other dishes usually. And there is a list of 8! And same long list for prawns. Very delicious, friendly people and nice atmosphere

We spontaneously went to Shaan to have a few cocktails. They were super cheap and really tasty at happy hour for €4.90. The visit was a lot of fun and we were able to have a good chat in a friendly atmosphere. We'll definitely come back to the restaurant to eat sometime.

Chicken Dahiwala was NOT marinated or even Grilled AT ALL as per the description ! Such a disappointment. Rather should have eaten vegetarian or nothing. Money wasted. Please deliver what you mention.

We ended up in Sharan yesterday by chance (there was no more space in the restaurant we originally planned) and were very impressed - there was a small starter (papadam with dips) and we had four main courses (vegan, vegetarian, with chicken, with shrimp). which we were well fed - the portions were more than sufficient 😊. Afterwards another "Old Monk" - this was also as it should be. The service was very friendly and attentive. What more could you want? We will definitely repeat our visit to Sharan.

Wonderful outdoor seating in the pleasant atmosphere of Richardplatz. The service is attentive and fast, and the food also came very quickly. Unfortunately the food wasn't good. We ordered the stuffed eggplant and the Indian grill plate. The eggplant was stuffed with a mixture a la mashed potatoes (instead of being filled with nuts, almonds and raisins). The grill plate consisted partly of undefined organic mass, looked a lot like leftover pieces, at best it was unrecognizable shrimp instead of meat. It's a shame, we used to live around the corner and were there often. But now the quality has deteriorated.

Fast and friendly service! We, 2 people, were able to sit outside in the summer weather. A fish and a meat dish tasted excellent!!!! Very tasty and Indian spicy, at our request. Absolutely delicious, even though we are pretty spoiled. Thanks to the chef!! WE can recommend you!!!

We ate at Shaan's yesterday and it was a great experience!! The food was super delicious and the staff were really lovely. We got free papadam with three sauces as a starter and ordered onion bhaji to share. Our vegan and vegetarian main dishes also tasted incredible and we could even take something home for lunch then next day. The restaurant is located in the heart of Rixdorf (very village-like, calm but still lively atmosphere) and has lots of tables outside, which we enjoyed:) the mango-schnaps rounded off the evening perfectly:)
