There are 4 Persian restaurants in Munich that I know, and Shandiz is for me the best

We were there with 4 people. Unfortunately everything is very narrow there, which means it is very crowded. Good thing we had reserved a table. The food was very, very good. The service was very good and courteous. We'll definitely be back.

Friday evening we went for dinner, the atmosphere was how I imagined to be a bit loud but is still comfortable. The service was really good the staff is friendly and nice. The food was amazing, everything was tasty and good. The starter Pumpkin you can find in the menu was a interesting discovery we recommend to try, get extra naan for the sauce) Main courses were great. From my perspective I don’t love rice that much, they made it that I would ask for second ( perfectly cooked)We will definitely come back next time to try everything else in their menu when we will be in München!

It was very tasty, especially the lamb and the ice cream.

NOT RECOMMENDED Service: unfriendly Food: unfortunately not tried. Despite reservations, we were assigned a small table in the narrow corner. When we asked if we could get a larger table (and were any tables still available) we were turned away. We then left.

I’ve discovered Shandiz a bit late. The food was delicious, the experience unforgettable and the service beyond words. Thank you for making my Friday evening special. I highly recommend the lamb stew dishes with a warm Persian tea. If you’re into sweet delights, try the Persian ice cream. It comes with saffron and rose water taste which is unique in the western world.

Very good food, good ambience and professional service.

Yesterday the five of us went to Shandiz for the first time because of the good reviews. The quality of the food was good, the portions were ok but manageable. The service was friendly, but the main course came while we were still busy with the starter. The plates were simply pulled away from us hectically and without asking. What bothered us the most was that the restaurant was far too crowded and the tables were placed close together. More guests kept coming and every square inch was filled with tables. There was no longer any distance to the neighboring table. This made the atmosphere extremely uncomfortable, hectic and loud. It was hard to think of a conversation. It's a shame, but I imagine a cozy evening differently. That's why I won't come back.

These dishes are not at all of the quality of an Iranian restaurant.

The food was excellent, the service was friendly and ok. But unfortunately the restaurant was so packed with guests that it was completely uncomfortable. During the starter, the plate was taken away from you even though you hadn't really finished it yet. More and more guests were constantly being seated at even smaller tables. It was uncomfortable and loud. It's a shame for the really good food.

I tried the Hähnchen Birani from their lunch menu. It was delicious. The chicken was very tender and the curry was delicious. Not too spicy. They also give you a bowl of delicious hummus with bread and a shot of Espresso coffee post lunch.

We were completely positively surprised. My wife eats vegetarian and found a very good offer. The dishes were very tasty, simple but beautifully presented. The dessert variations at the end were delicious. We were served charmingly by Mohammed to our complete satisfaction. If we lived in Munich, Shandiz would be one of our most important addresses.

I was traveling from another city I chose this restaurant with Google posts But with so many stars, I had high expectations that were not fulfilled Unfortunately, the food was served cold The quality was 3 in my opinion The service was not bad, but considering the 3 tables of customers, it took a long time to process In my opinion, the atmosphere of the restaurant could be better considering the oriental taste and Arabic music Of course, I know that all these comments in Google are not Alki, but I expected more and better

Very good food and authentic atmosphere. Prices are absolutely reasonable, starters are also delicious. We had to wait a relatively long time for our dishes, but the shop was full and we got a table without a reservation on a Sunday evening, so it was great.

We had the vegetarian eggplant/lentil dish and it was really perfect! Very tasty and well seasoned, and absolutely inexpensive. The staff is very nice and accommodating and the shop is comfortably furnished and quiet, I can only recommend it!😊

God willing.. I ordered two skewers of sultani kebab with rice, a shirazi salad, and a cup of ayran milk.. something luxurious and the price is acceptable, 28 euros. The sessions are amazing 👌

This Persian restaurant is definitely one of the best addresses in Munich when it comes to food! The Kubideh tastes authentically like in Iran itself - tender, juicy and simply perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere is extremely traditional and allows you to immerse yourself in Persian culture for a moment. The drinks, like the Sharbat, are also excellent - pleasantly refreshing and not overly sugary, balanced in just the right way. It is one of my personal insider tips in Munich, ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Persian cuisine. Absolutely recommended!

Unfortunately, the food disappointed me. The meat with the sweet honey and pomegranate sauce didn't taste good at all. The portion was far too small for the price. Overall it wasn’t a good experience and definitely not what I expected.”

Everything is good but our bill was OVERPRICED

Super tasty and, in my opinion, authentic, high quality food! I would recommend making a reservation for the evening! The restaurant is very harmoniously furnished and the staff is very friendly. Price/performance is definitely good. A clear recommendation!

Delicious food, cool cheerful atmosphere and good service

Qormesabzi is usually very fatty in many restsurants, but here it was incredibly tasty, I couldn't imagine it better. Kabab Soltani was also tasty but could be spicier. I didn't find the decoration particularly Persian and a bit tasteless.

I ordered three dishes, chelokebab, kashk bademjoon and baghalipolo. The best was kashk bademjan however the other two dishes were tasteless and they use indian rice which I get stomachache each time I eat. Overall, if you missed iranian food, here is better than nothing. Plus, on weekends, it’s so crowded.

The restaurant is excellent, the food is wonderful, and the service is top notch. I ordered dish number 67, which was divine (Lamb). As I went to dinner, I noticed the restaurant was very busy.

This is the 3rd time for me. It was lovely place and service back then. I think 4.7 scores now is too overrated. And yes, I would give a chance to the other Iranian restaurants in this area than come back here.

A real pearl of Persian cuisine! I had the pleasure of visiting this Iranian restaurant and I absolutely love it! From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed by the warm atmosphere and traditional Persian hospitality. The menu offers a fantastic selection of authentic dishes prepared with love. I tried the Ghormeh Sabzi and it was simply delicious – perfectly seasoned and with tender meat. The saffron rice and fresh naan bread were also a highlight. I can highly recommend the faloodeh as a dessert – refreshing and unique! The ambience of the restaurant is equally impressive. The lovingly designed furnishings, the gentle Persian music and the pleasant scent of spices make the experience unforgettable. The staff was extremely friendly, attentive and made sure that we felt completely comfortable. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to discover Persian cuisine or simply enjoy a special evening. I'll definitely come.

It's delicious here I had Lab Hakse, but Koreans will enjoy it even more if you order it with rice other than Deli Rice. My husband had the rice menu with grilled chicken and beef, and I think it would be a great fit for Koreans. Also, make sure to order the Peruvian traditional drink. It was really delicious. The basil seeds in the drink were chewy, so go ahead and enjoy the bubble tea.

The food was a little different than expected but still good 👍 The staff is very friendly

The kabab torsh is not even torsh or sauer as its named after. Addding some sweet pomegernade sauce on top of another type of kabab is not making it torsh. It should be stay put for a day in a sauce and make the raw meat super delicate. The rate of 1 star is just for their place and some how their waitresses good behavior. But as I feedbacked them they even haven't accept mine as north iranian person who this dish originally comes from. So be aware this dish is fake

Dropped by spontaneously with a large group (5 adults and 3 children). Every meal was delicious, desserts were tasty, service was friendly. We are very happy and will definitely come again!

A bit loud and hectic as it's always very busy, but the food is simply amazing!

The food was really good, unfortunately we were unlucky with the service. Unfortunately, after we told him we didn't agree with the service, we used a curse word.

It was a good experience. I tried a grilled meat dish. It tastes really good, and adding the spices, it really gets to a nice punch of flavour. The staffs are nice. The atmosphere is also good, but the pop trend musics might not fit for the place, despite it decoration is great. Price is also fair.

The aubergines puree was to die for. The portions could be larger.

Super disappointed. The food came almost completely cold, the rice had no taste and the flatbread had nothing special at all. Apparently reviews are faked here or people in Munich really don't know anything better.

Simply a perfect place to enjoy oriental food. The ambience invites you to linger and the food is delicious. The price is perfect and the beer is still under the 4 euro mark 🍺😁 The conditions are very accommodating and on the ball. I always enjoy coming here

Been here several times for different occasions. The food is just as good as the service. Sometimes a bit crowded, almost crowded. But overall worth recommending. It's also nice that you can get a pretty good deal with the gourmet block for up to 4 people.

Previously run by an Indian (I think) now by an Iraqi woman. Nice ladies serve. A good KababBarg is difficult to come by, and not particularly good here either. The best I ate was 11 years ago in Tehran. Unfortunately, the onions with the meal were rotten. My bread basket (2 pieces still in it) was put back there without taking the bread out. One tasted that grilled eggplants for (mirsaghasemi) are from a can, Humm, I wish you more luck, fun and success. Soltani can 25 euros. Judsche and koobideh about 22 euros. Rice sufficient.

1. Waited 15 minutes for someone to come 2. I had a voucher from neotaste that was intended to save 10 euros if I bought something for 25 euros. I was told that this was not possible. This only works if I have two main courses.

Carelessly prepared portion, which was also very small. The price is not justified. Normally an onion, pepperoni and parsley are served with the kebab, but not anymore at Shandiz. The rice portion was ridiculously small and really not justified for the price. Very carelessly prepared and the service is inattentive.

A classy and wonderful restaurant. It is worth visiting. The food is clean and tidy. The staff are all classy and very helpful. The best thing about the restaurant is the treatment of the staff, and some of them speak a little Arabic, so I recommend it.

A very unique & different food experience!! Mostly rice( basmati which melts in your mouth!) paired with different gravies made of lentils,aubergines, curd, spinach etc with sauces made from wine leaves, pomegranate topped with dried plums.It is a must do experience if you are a foodie & love to try our different cuisines. Book ahead as it’s always full. Saffron icecream is a bit sweet but worth a try z

Great Persian restaurant. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. The food was really very tasty. I had Kebab Morgh (chicken fillet marinated in garlic chili, grilled on a skewer, topped with saffron sauce and almond, served with barberry rice) and Sharbat (Persian soft drink with saffron, lime juice and basil seeds. A must-try). I will definitely come back!

Yesterday we went with a friend for lunch. I ordered Ghormesabzi. Although the taste was very good, the quantity of food was very poor for an adult and quite expensive in relation to its quantity (about 15-16 euros). I personally left there hungry and I'm not one to eat a large amount and when I got home I had to eat again. One of the main components of Ghormesabzi is lamb meat which was also not seen a lot on the plate. Overall, a disappointment on my part. I hope you take note, that a diner may not mind paying a little more to be served a reasonable amount of food and with appropriate ingredients, but what is not right is paying a sum of money and leaving there hungry.

A nice restaurant. It is considered expensive. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. We ordered the sultana, lamb skewer, chicken skewer, and you can order it as kebab or awsal. It was especially nice. The awsal was delicious. We ordered good ribs and appetizers.

Great atmosphere plus their professional staff as well as tasty meals makes it to one of the greatest Iranian restaurants which I've ever tested here in Germany.

I ordered “Ghormeh Sabzi”. Bad service, small portion of rice and terrible quality. Not recommended. Stay away from this place.
