Diwan in München

I ordered a Kubideh tonight and it was honestly awful. It looked and tasted like it was from yesterday and just reheated (and even burned). My stomach hurts now and the food is just sitting heavy in me. I don’t feel well at all. This was really the last time I’m ordering from them. I tried to give them another chance, but each time has been worse than the last.

The portions are a bit small for the price. But delicious :)

Waited 2 hours for the food. No cutlery, even though I'd asked for more beforehand. Just took the food back.

An Iranian restaurant with delicious and varied food. The service is excellent. I recommend it, but their prices are a bit high, but it's worth it.

Very nice Persian restaurant, the service was accommodating and the employees were nice. The food itself is very interesting with unique Persian cuisine, definitely recommend to anyone who likes spices and good meat. They have a variety of non alcoholic drinks which were very nice. The restaurant is filled with Persian decorations which adds a nice vibe.

Friendly atmosphere, high-quality and delicious foods, kind and helpful management — I highly recommend there!

Disappointing – Quality doesn't match the price I was honestly speechless when I saw the prices on the menu. Charging up to €35 for a dish – without even using real saffron, but merely saffron coloring – is simply incomprehensible to me. I regularly eat at very good restaurants in Munich, including many renowned fine-dining spots, and this is in no way comparable. In terms of taste, quality, and service, the whole thing has more of the character of a fast-food restaurant or upscale snack bar – but with prices on par with a top restaurant. The quality has noticeably declined compared to the past. Anyone looking for authentic Persian food with high-quality ingredients and authentic flavor will probably be disappointed here.

Very delicious food, I can really say a Tabrizi kitchen with famous Tabrizi dishes. Thank you for all the artistic taste you put on your food. The service was excellent and they were very patient.

Best Persian restaurant in town 🤞🏽

When we arrived we were asked to sit close to the kitchen( kitchen has no door) and we would be exposed to all possible odors and discussions... Only after I made it clear that this was a nogo, we fially received a regular table. Food: having been exposed to Persian cuisine in London and Paris, the food served was really disappointing. Huge portions with rice, a tasteless skewer of chicken for 22 Euro. Not convincing, but truly not convincing since any chicken nuggets in a fast food have more taste. Last but not least, service was poor, mishappens happened, too many tables for the area( overcrowded), badly ventilated, brief you get the picture. Glasses of cheap red vine ( no complexity)were sold for 9 Euros. And on top, this restaurant was given a awesome 4.7 Google rating! So many people must have had a good experience.Only god knows why?

The restaurant is nicely decorated and the staff was very friendly and helpful in explaining the dishes. The starters were delicious. The main course was good, unfortunately I personally didn't like the meat. I would have liked to try another dessert but unfortunately we didn't have time to stay.

The restaurant is beautiful, its location is elegant, facing a small garden, the food is delicious and fresh, the service is good, the quantity is excellent, and the prices are high. We ordered two dishes of rice, kebab, and tikka with yogurt with cucumber and water. The cost was 81 euros. It is worth the visit.

The food was super tasty. The starter plate with the many different bowls was very tasty and the skewers with the rice afterwards were just as delicious. Only problem... Because it was so good, I just had to finish it and the portion wasn't exactly small. 😉

Starter 6 stars. The main courses were ok but too expensive. Just empty dry rice, which you should make edible yourself with a piece of butter and a tomato... And a dry meat skewer with it... For almost 30 euros, that's a lot. Eating a starter of flatbread on the patio in the backyard in the summer is the dream. It was also too loud inside. We don't come for the main courses. Hope summer comes again and we enjoy our appetizer platter outside. Njaaam a poem!

Delicious food! A variety of persian dishes with a good range of drinks. In the picture you can find their popular Koobideh dish which never disappoints. So far I have tried most of the Kebab dishes, all great especially the Koobideh and Torsh. The stews are also great they are quite similar to the authentic recipes but with a new touch. The service is also pretty amazing considering that when we visited the restaurant it was completely packed! Long story short, persian cuisine at its finest.

Delicious Iranian food but a bit pricey

Outrageously delicious. Were here for the first time and definitely not the last time! All the dishes were simply amazing, the portions were the perfect size and everything was freshly prepared with incredible attention to detail. Authentic cuisine and ambience. The service is also super satisfactory and friendly. We really couldn't find a single shortcoming and would come back at any time.

I was expecting much more from a Persian restaurant. Many dishes were tasteless like the koobideh and barg and ghaliye. Also its expensive for Munich and the worst part is that as you can see in the photos they forgot to remove all tamarind seeds which can cost you a tooth.

The service at the Diwan Restaurant was excellent. We were immediately greeted in a friendly manner and shown to our table. The waitress was extremely attentive and offered us recommendations without being intrusive. Our orders were taken quickly and the wait times between courses were just right. What was particularly impressive was that individual requests were addressed without any problem.

This is a very good restaurant with a great variety of food. It has a calm atmosphere, but it might be a bit difficult to find the restaurant for the first time. The staff is very friendly, especially a lady named Azita, who was extremely kind and welcoming. Overall, we had a great experience. We will definitely come back

The restaurant is very bad The service is less than popular restaurants Imagine eating at a table with no spoons or knives on it, and you are surprised that the food arrived in 4 plates, each plate a different color. Patching and the most important thing on the table is unfortunately not available The price is very high compared to the items generally I do not recommend visiting it at all

The most delicious Iranian restaurant, may God bless you. The food is amazing and the outdoor seating is nice. I recommend it and the service is excellent, God willing. The cook works in the house of an elderly harem. There is nothing delicious about it.

The best Iranian restaurant in Munich

Good Persian food with an acceptable quality with nice dressing. In comparison with other Persian restaurants in general, they have a strong menu with more variety.

All around great: service, menu, cuisine - all very good. The team is really nice and will help with the selection if necessary. The pavilion in the inner courtyard of a residential complex is in a quiet location, although in the immediate vicinity of Rotkreuzplatz (great public transport connection). Only the shisha bar and guests at the gambling den next door are a bit annoying if you want to eat outside because smoke is constantly coming from somewhere. Tip: Try Mirza Ghassemi first! The classic Tahchin (available without or with meat) is a must-try, but the grilled kabab and braised dishes are also very good.

During our spontaneous visit to the Diwan, we were able to sit outside in very good weather and choose from a comparatively large number of vegetarian dishes. Both dishes were very well prepared and very tasty. There were also great lemonades. We'll be back.

My girlfriend and I used to live nearby, but even after we moved to another place, we still come here from time to time, to have dinner. The meals served here are just amazing. It is Persian cuisine (cannot say whether they all 100% traditional though, because comparing to other Persian restaurants I visited, Diwan stands out). I would personally recommend Chenjeh & Soltani kabab, and every Schlotgerichte-meal. Speaking of the drinks, I would highly recommend to everyone to try Sharbat-Zaferan here. It is something absolutely delightful. Btw the menu also contains plenty of vegetarian / vegan options, and some meals can be adjusted by request. P.S. Like in all popular places, it is always easier here when you make a reservation, although I would not say it is always crowded here.

Never again! Because my health is important to me. As someone who is knowledgeable about Iranian dishes and can distinguish between good and poor quality Iranian food, I would like to share my unpleasant experience: 1) I ordered Kebab Torsh, but due to the use of sweet pomegranate syrup, the kebab was completely sweet. However, kebab torsh should be sour or sweet and sour, and not sweet. (Torsh means sour in German). 2) In addition, the meat had a very bad and unusual taste. 3) The main problem that cannot be overlooked was the presence of mud and dirt on the mints next to the kebab. There were these dirty mints not only on my plate, but also on my companion's plate. Although we informed the waiter, no one came, not even to apologize, let alone to investigate this matter.
