Unfortunately the quality has deteriorated significantly here. The dumplings weren't cooked properly and the dough was way too thick. Unfortunately we didn't like the main courses at all. The service was mainly busy with food for delivery. We had a menu with dessert, but we never got it. Nobody cleared the table or even asked if it was tasty. Nobody came to pay, so we stood at the checkout. We paid the full price and were only offered to take the baked ice cream home with us! It's a shame, unfortunately our last visit there!

I haven't eaten something so disgusting in a long time. Tastes vary, but both the quality and the service are unfortunately not worth a star. In a restaurant where no one even asks if they like it, can I bring you something to drink! And then I have to pay at the counter in a restaurant. Unfortunately, this takes on the character of a snack!! It's a real shame about the money and the time.

All the dishes I have eaten here so far have been very tasty. There is no glutamate in the food, so it is extremely well tolerated.

We were there for the umpteenth time. Unfortunately this time not as good as before. We all want to save energy, but the fact that some guests were sitting at the table in anorak is not helpful. Starters were great again, but unfortunately some of the main courses were a little weaker in quality this time. We'll still come back.

Staff very friendly, responds to customer requests. Despite the large number of guests, there is no waiting time, the customer is really the king here. The decor and decoration are typical of a Chinese restaurant. Food/drink menu offers a wide selection. We'd love to come back.

We were at Shang Dong on Wolfhager Straße for lunch on Sunday. I had a beef stew with fried rice and egg. I've been to a lot of Chinese restaurants, including in Spain, China and also Germany. The rice was super delicious, almost the best I've ever had! Not just sticky but well seasoned, with a few onions and peas in it, it was definitely right! At first I was skeptical about the stew. I didn't really want any soup with meat. My wife then persuaded me. I didn't regret it, it was super rich! And super tasty, could have been a little spicier for my taste, but still absolutely great! Lots of vegetables and a lot of meat that was well cooked and very tastefully prepared. The others in our family were also happy and completely full at the end! The service was very good even though it was relatively busy when we were there, very attentive staff. Ambiance is very nice, typical Chinese decoration, from the outside it looks a bit inconspicuous, it is on the first floor, it looks a bit like an office building, in the stairwell there are two Chinese leather chairs where probably no one has sat before, but the restaurant itself is for my taste absolutely great! The price of each dish was around 15-18 euros, but for the amount of food (we took the leftovers home with us) it was absolutely justified!

Don't think about paying with a card. The looks can kill. Unfortunately, the food was inedible and left me with a stomach ache and a bit of nausea.

Today we were in Erzbergerstr. Eat. IT wasn't good. The staff wasn't friendly. We got the rice about 5 minutes before the duck was served on the table. When we were able to eat it it was almost cold. The duck was very dry and the entire meal was not very seasoned. We had barely finished eating our plates when they were already cleared away. We've been there a few times but the quality of the food has deteriorated a lot and so has the staff. We won't go there anymore

So, not only was the food terribly bad, when we paid at the bar we weren't given a change of 5 euros back, it was pocketed without asking and of course. Once and never again! One star is clearly too many. Really outrageous and underground.

The restaurant is nice. I tried the Lazi chicken with Ginger Ale. Chicken was good and spice was upto my liking with crispy outer layer. Would recommend. Portions are huge for the price. Worth the money

From the outside it is quite well hidden, from the inside it is significantly larger than expected. We have lived in Kassel for over 10 years and have rarely eaten so well. The food is absolutely worth the price, the portions are sometimes gigantic! Definitely our new regular restaurant.

Unfortunately, Shan Dong has significantly deteriorated compared to how it used to be at just one location. In addition, you can tell from the quality of the food whether the owners are there or not...

Everyone very friendly. Good food, also the portion. Food was served quickly. The store looks clean, including the toilets. Everything seems to be right here.

Inferior quality, not like it was a year ago! We ordered dumplings and beef jianniurou. The dumplings were undercooked and consisted of 80% dough. The beef was inedibly dry. It had nothing to do with authentic Chinese dishes. We were told that Germans like it that way, which of course is not true. We refused to pay for it and will avoid this restaurant in the future.

By comparing the two Shandong dishes, it is obvious that the dishes here are not as good as the dishes in the city center store. Shandong here will never come again. Finally I would like to say that the Shandong restaurant in the city center is really good.

3 out of 4 meals were inedible. Went straight into the trash. We were big fans of Shan Dong after living in China for 3 years. Unfortunately the quality and taste has decreased massively...

The food is very tasty and the price-performance ratio is excellent. The portions are a great size. The selection of dishes offers enough options and is not overloaded. The restaurant is always busy and yet the food is prepared quickly. The vegetables in the dishes are always nice and crunchy and not overcooked. There are never any problems ordering another bowl of rice. All dishes are very digestible, no feeling of fullness or indigestion.

Nice restaurant. It looks clean and well-kept and the seating is very comfortable. Service is good, food is phenomenal! If the older lady of the house wasn't so harsh, it would be almost perfect. You have to be tolerant to overlook their behavior.

Unfortunately, the spring rolls and ducks tasted like old frying fat. The rolls were also cold in the middle. The vegetables in the main courses are raw. Not al dente, but raw! A pity.

I think it's very tasty, I've been there for the 8th time now, every time the food was delicious with only fresh ingredients, just great. It is freshly cooked, which takes a while.

The food tastes really good, I particularly like the fact that it is cooked without glutamate. The service is less charming; Plates and drinks are passed across the table, and when the table is cleared, plates are stacked on top of each other like in a youth hostel. Wir waren schon oft Gäste im Lokal in der Lutterstrasse und sind voller Vorfreude nach Harleshausen gefahren, in der Hoffnung dort die gleiche tolle Gastronomie zu finden. Leider wurden unsere Erwartungen enttäuscht. Das Lokal selbst ist im Flair eines typischen Buffet Restaurants eingerichtet, ein hell erleuchteter großer Raum, ziemlich laut und mit direktem Einblick in die Küche. Dort ging es an diesem Abend laut zu, was natürlich die Gäste mitbekommen haben. Und das obwohl nichts los war. Die Qualität der Speisen war weit weg von dem was wir erwartet habe, lieblos auf den Teller gelegte, fett triefende Frühlingsrollen. Die typischen Maultaschen waren lauwarm und schmeckten wie ein Fertigprodukt. Der Hauptgang war eine Anhäufung von Paprika und Zwiebeln (obwohl mehrfach ohne Zwiebeln bestellt wurde), geschmacklich sonst in Ordnung. Wir gehen wenig essen und suchen uns die Lokale bewusst aus, um die Abende genießen zu können. Dieses Mal wurden wir leider enttäuscht. Schade, das Lokal in der Lutterstrasse ist nämlich wirklich toll!

Super Essen, sehr freundlich, man fühlt sich auch mit Kleinkind sehr wohl. Eine sehr schöne Spielecke.

Richtig lecker! Knackiges Gemüse, saftiges Fleisch, viele besondere Gewürze sehr gut abgeschmeckt. Alles frisch zubereitet. Kein 0/8/15 Asia Restaurant. Das Essen ist gut bekömmlich und liegt nicht schwer im Magen. Ich wünschte es gäbe mehr chinesische Restaurants mit dieser Qualität! Service ist sehr freundlich und erfüllt einem jeden Wunsch. Etwas kühl zum Teil, aber authentisch würde ich behaupten. Location ist innen hell und modern eingerichtet. Neues Mobiliar, frische Farben. Klassisches chin. Geschirr zum Teil. Sehr sympathisch. Lage ist relativ gut, es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze.

Das Essen ist sehr gut. Vor allem das Gemüse ist super frisch und knackig. Für mich eins der besten chinesischen Restaurants in der Umgebung. Das Ambiente ist Geschmackssache, was aber nichts an der Qualität des Essens ändert.

Die Ente war sehr dunkel und trocken. Das Gemüse hart und roh.

Wär schon gut gewesen aber die Ente war nicht mehr knusprig sondern verbrannt, steinhart und trocken und das Gemüse war noch zu roh.

An der einrichtung könnte man bestimmt noch dran arbeiten😏 wäre schöner für die gäste😉 das essen war lecker und kann ich auch empfehlen gerne wieder...🤗

Samstag Mittag, erste Erfahrung. Noch in keinem chinesischen Restaurant bisher habe ich so viel Harmonie, zwischen den ausschlaggebenden Voraussetzungen erlebt: Geschmack, Präsentation, Lokalität, Preise und Qualifikation des Personals. Vielen Dank, dass ich bei Ihnen sein durfte. Sehr freundlich, die Speisen waren für uns ein Erlebnis, aufmerksames und freundliches Personal. Das war nicht mein letzter Besuch, da mich mein veganes Gericht sehr zufrieden gemacht hat. Ich freue mich schon, auf ein nächstes Mal.

Wir waren vor Corona Stammgäste wegen dem tollen Buffet, leider gibt es das jetzt nicht mehr seid Besitzer wechsel. Mir persönlich waren im essen viel zu viele Soja Sprossen, leider nur dünne kartotten Streifen, rohe kalte Pilze. Habe das Gemüse liegen lassen und die gebratenen Nudeln der Kinder gegessen, die gingen, allerdings für Kinder ne riesen Portion. Die Kinderecke ist toll gemacht und wurde gut angenommen, was absolut gar nicht geht ist der ,, Wickelplatz '' im Wickelraum Dies ist eine Abstellkammer mit Wickelbrett Dann hätten sie es lieber im Bad montieren sollen. In so einer Kammer möchte ich nicht wickeln zumal als jemand rein und raus läuft. Fazit: gut aber muss ehrlich sagen vorher war es besser mit Buffet, auch wenn's nur eine kleines war. Kinderecke Gut gemacht aber an Still und Wickelmöglichkeit bitte feilen.

Das Essen und die Ambiente sind ganz schön. Lediglich der Service war an dem Tag etwas überlastet.

Das Restaurant liegt sehr versteckt in einem Wohnhaus. Das Ambiente ist etwas steril/gekünstelt, die Bedienung etwas kühl und gestresst (auch wenn nicht viel los war) Das Essen allerdings gut und die Preise fair.

War gestern mit einem Besuch aus Taiwan dort, dem ich authentisch chinesisches Essen versprochen hatte. Was muss ich sagen: auch mein Freund war begeistert.

Delicious and authentic mostly northern Chinese food! 🇨🇳 Everyone can find something on the menu, from meat to seafood and vegetarian/vegan dishes. I would definitely recommend to get the Jiaozi (dumplings) - it’s a specialty of this restaurant. But all other dishes are tasty as well. The service staff is friendly and quick, the restaurant is simply decorated but pretty. Check this place out!
