Very, very good Indian restaurant! I have eaten and ordered food there several times. Cozy, centrally located and at the same time quiet location. The staff is very accommodating and friendly without being intrusive. Good portion sizes that really fill you up. Great recommendation!

Super nice staff and excellent authentic food. Mild is really mild and if you want it a little spicy you should choose medium-spicy! Mango lassi and ginger tea were also delicious. The ambience on site could be a bit more cozy, but the great food makes up for that.

Six of us visited Shalimar as part of a business trip - and were initially skeptical because it looked more like a snack bar. But: The food was very tasty, authentic and the service was very good! The ambience could be worked on, but the rest is good!

It's fine. The food is good and relatively cheap, especially the lunch deal.

We wanted to pay by card but were asked for cash. This brief conversation was not very friendly.

To put it bluntly, the food was delicious after work. The food was freshly prepared and the owner was even so friendly that he conjured up something delicious for us 10 minutes before the end of the meal. My recommendation is clearly the butter chicken with yogurt. We'll be back.

Don't be fooled by the first sight! Food was quite good, but spicy wasn't spicy. You are asked: “Mild, medium or spicy”? If you like it very spicy, then you should add “but really spicy” after it.

Unfortunately we were deducted from the price, but the food was incredibly delicious. And big portions. With such good quality, we are happy to pay more. But they simply charged an extra €10, unfortunately we only noticed it after our visit.

I've been going to Shalimar more often for over a year. The food is absolutely delicious and the portions are really filling. The lunch menu in particular is fairly priced. It's always quick too! About the spiciness: Shalimar is not the spiciest Indian, so you can order the mild version without hesitation.

The restaurant is very nice. The foil from the tables on bare legs is a bit annoying, but you can see past that. The decoration in the store is a 10/10. We all ordered different dishes, but the “basic curry” was the same for everyone. No matter whether you had vegetarian curry with cheese, lentils, vegetables or chicken, it looked the same for everyone and probably tasted similar too. That's a bit of a shame because I personally wouldn't come here regularly because otherwise you'd always get similar food. The staff was sometimes quite dry, no smile, no please, but not always either. Therefore only 4/5 stars. Still worth recommending because it tasted good.

It was real Indian atmosphere, totally relaxed. The food was nice and hot, I'm not into spicy food, but on the second day I tried medium Spicy and it was absolutely perfect. The toilets were also approved. Can only recommend it

A hidden gem. The place doesn't look like much from the outside. But we had done our research and the place got pretty good reviews so we decided to go there. And we were certainly not disappointed. It was really nice and cozy and the food was very delicious. When you ask for extra spicy, you get extra spicy without it being unbearable. Warm and friendly service and unusually fair prices. We paid under 40 euros for two large vegetarian dishes and two beers. Gives "only" ambiance 3 stars because it was difficult to rate on a Monday night when there weren't that many people.

Well what can you say, when you stand in front of the restaurant you shouldn't be deceived by the external impression. Because this restaurant easily makes up for this with the food. This was the absolute best thing I've had at a restaurant in a long time. When I'm back in Flensburg, there's no way around it.

We wanted to try the restaurant because of good Google reviews. We were rather disappointed because we like to go out and enjoy Indian food. The portions were small. We were satisfied with the generous amount of rice served. But the food no longer tasted Indian. The food came to the table warm, but was not kept warm and cooled quickly in the pan. We ordered the Nan bread with garlic. I've rarely had such a small nan and the garlic was missing. Was worth a try for around €35 ​​for 2 people. There are much better alternatives in Flensburg and we were there for the first and last time.

Absolute recommendation! I had Kashmiri Biryani with lamb, the friendly service woman recommended a raita (yogurt, cucumber, tomato) with it and the taste was exactly right. Well-balanced spices, spiciness can be selected in advance. The lassi (salted) was also well seasoned and whipped.
