Gutes indisches Essen zum kleinen Preis. Wir waren vor Ort mit 6 Personen Essen. Jedem hat es gut geschmeckt ,in der Grundwürze ist es schon leicht scharf, was man bedenken sollte. Aber das empfindet jeder auch anders. Das Ambiente ist recht einfach gehalten, eher Imbiss Charakter.

Fantastisch leckeres indisches Essen. Immer noch dasselbe. Man geht satt und zufrieden nach Hause!

DAs essen war sehr lecker, wir waren dort mit 12 Personen und wurden sehr nett empfangen. Wir haben mehrere Gerichte bestellt und die Wartezeit war gering. Wir gehen jedes Mal dort hin, das ist das beste indische Restaurant unserer Meinung nach in Flensburg.

Update: „Da es deutschen Gerichten Unternehmen unglaublich leicht macht, Verleumdungsklagen einzureichen, hat dieses Restaurant wiederholt versucht, meine berechtigte Bewertung zu löschen oder zu zensieren.“ Es wirkt eher wie ein pakistanisches Restaurant. Es werden Rindfleischgerichte serviert. Der Geschmack ist durchschnittlich, die Portionen sind großzügig, aber die Preise sind etwas hoch. Die Inneneinrichtung ist renovierungsbedürftig. 4,9 Sterne sind irreführend (Stand: Juni 2026).

Esser war sehr Lecker, viel Reis, wenig Curry. Der Service war hervorragend!

Update: Dieses Restaurant versuchte, meine berechtigte Bewertung wegen angeblicher Verleumdung entfernen zu lassen. Deutsche Gerichte haben nämlich eine niedrige Hürde für Unternehmen, Bewertungen als verleumderisch anzufechten, beispielsweise wenn keine Transaktionsbestätigung vorliegt. Ich schickte Google eine Kopie des Belegs, und Google hat meine Bewertung wiederhergestellt. Google zeigt nun in den Unternehmensprofilen (unter dem Tab „Bewertungen“) einen Hinweis an, wenn Bewertungen entfernt werden. Allein in den letzten 365 Tagen wurden diesem Restaurant 21 bis 50 Bewertungen aufgrund von Verleumdungsklagen gelöscht. So kommt es, dass sie 4,9 Sterne bekommen! Der Chef war freundlich und bat uns um eine positive Bewertung – die ich auch gern geschrieben hätte, aber der Kellner war sehr unhöflich und schrie uns an. Jetzt muss er sich bei seinem Chef erklären.

Mein Lieblingsinder in Flensburg! Komme regelmäßig mit meinem Vater hierher und das Essen ist jedes Mal unglaublich gut! 😍Für die die es scharf möge: ihr werdet nicht enttäuscht, aber auch die milderen Speisen überzeugen:) kann es nur empfehlen!

Sehr gutes Essen zumal wir Mittagstisch hatten für 10€. Das Ambiente war ok und die Bedienung auch. Allerdings sind die Getränke schon sehr teuer; sogar Wasser aus dem Hahn kostet 3€ für 0,5 ltr. Das ist schon unverschämt.

Ein nettes kleines Restaurant im Souterrain. Es gab vielleicht nur sechs oder sieben Tische, und es war nichts Besonderes, aber es hat gut geschmeckt, der Preis war gut und die Bedienung schnell! Wir hatten Butterhuhn, Mango-Lamm mit Naan, Raita, Minzsauce und Mango-Lassi. Alles war lecker.

Absolut eines der besten Erlebnisse dieses Jahr! Das Essen war hervorragend, der Service gut und die Atmosphäre perfekt. Lassen Sie sich nicht vom Äußeren abschrecken, Sie werden es nicht bereuen!

Habe vorher noch nie richtig indisch gegessen aber dieses Restaurant hat Jan überzeugt. Auf dem ersten Blick sehr unscheinbar doch kommt man in den Laden wird man herzlich empfangen. Einfache Einrichtung und Deko, die einem ein passendes Flair vermitteln. Beim Essen hat man die typischen indischen Speisen. Man kann jeweils zwischen 3 Schärfegraden entscheiden, wobei die schärfste Stufe nicht auf die leichte Schulter genommen werden sollte. Auch von der extra Schärfe sollte man nur mit Bedacht etwas nehmen...die hat richtig Power. Die Portionen sind mehr als ausreichend und man bekommt immer neuen Reis, sobald der eignene leer ist. Meine klare Empfehlung ist auch das frische Naan Brot. Auch der Mango Lassi war hervorragend. Wenn man hier ist, darf ein Besuch nicht fehlen. 5/5.

Yesterday, my wife and I ate at Shalimar for at least the 10th time – and we were once again completely thrilled! As soon as you enter the restaurant, you notice that great importance is placed on atmosphere. The room is comfortably furnished, warmly lit, and very clean. You immediately feel comfortable and welcome. We received a friendly welcome and were escorted to our table. The service was attentive but never intrusive, always with a smile and a good sense of the right moment. You can tell that service really matters here. About the food: My wife had the Chicken Korma, and I had a Mango Lassi to go with it – and what can I say: simply fantastic! The Chicken Korma was tender, creamy, and perfectly seasoned, with just the right balance of spice and mild sweetness. The Mango Lassi was world-class – creamy, fresh, and with the perfect mango flavor. You can taste that they use high-quality ingredients. Overall, it was a wonderful culinary experience that I highly recommend. The value for money is absolutely spot on, and we will definitely be back. A huge compliment to the whole team – you're doing a fantastic job!

The price/performance ratio for lunch is simply outstanding. The variety of vegan dishes is also worth mentioning. The ambiance of the place is a bit dated, but it's still highly recommended.

Based on the many good reviews, we wanted to try the lunch menu here. We drove over two hours to Flensburg, and after a lot of traffic, we arrived at 2:15 p.m. We were extremely rudely told that we couldn't get anything else, even though the order was being taken at the table right next to us(!). They don't offer lunch until 2:30 p.m. Based on this experience, I won't bother going back.

The price-performance ratio is excellent. You get a huge portion for the price 👌. Delivery is very fast, I highly recommend it 👍👍.

Very delicious food - as always. The mango lassi is definitely worth it. Really friendly staff, and no problems so far. They usually also give you a little gift, like extra rice or bread for dipping.

The Indian restaurant "Shalimar" in Flensburg is located in the basement and welcomes its guests with a lovingly designed interior. The tables are pleasantly set, and numerous accessories bring the character of India to life. The waiters also wear traditional clothing, lending the atmosphere a special authenticity. Everything feels relaxed and pleasantly casual. After a warm welcome, we were immediately given the menus and were able to order our drinks in peace. We took our time choosing our dishes. We found it particularly thoughtful that we were asked for the desired spiciness for each main course – a great way to customize the meal to our own taste. We chose a lentil soup as a starter and two different lamb dishes. All the dishes were finely spiced, very aromatic, and served in a pleasant amount – just enough to leave you feeling full and satisfied. Our impression: Every visit to an Indian restaurant is a little different, as each restaurant has its own signature. The "Shalimar" impresses with its calm, authentic atmosphere and cuisine that delights all tastes. A clear recommendation for anyone in Flensburg who craves Indian specialties.

Had dinner with teenagers in July 2025. Based on positive reviews. The food was indeed delicious, but one of us found it a bit salty. Otherwise, good value for money! We found the service a bit distant, but not unfriendly. In short: a great place to eat!

Tried this Pakistani restaurant in Flensburg—flavors were surprisingly close to authentic Pakistani taste, especially the grilled items and curries. However, the prices were quite high specially grill plates. Worth it for the experience, but maybe not for a regular visit.

I'm in no way very familiar with Indian cuisine but I really liked my dinner at Shalimar. I had Mixed Tandoori with chicken and a surprisingly large amount of shrimps. The meal was spicy as ordered and washed down with a mango lassi and a mango schnaps. Total 25 Euros and well worth it. Nice and friendly service in a simple decor makes me give the place a very solid 4 stars.

Three of us ate there today based on the many positive reviews. It was excellent! Very tasty and of good, authentic quality! The price-performance ratio is reasonable. Don't be put off by the rather simple location on the lower ground floor. We'd be happy to come back. Our little dog was even allowed in. I recommend making a reservation.
