Seven Spices Indian Cuisine in Berlin

Beautiful little authentic Indian restaurant on a lovely street. Waiters are attentive and welcoming (only downside, and this is from a westerners point of view is no offer of water, you have to ask but very friendly when you do). Personal recommendations are the mango lassi, vegetable samosa, lamb curry and palak paneer + special mention for the garlic naan. Food is so good we came back twice!

All in all, very tasty. I ordered something medium-spicy and was warned that it was authentic Indian spices and "Indian medium-spicy." I should have listened. But it was delicious.

Are here on vacation and were there two evenings in a row. We had butter chicken and it tasted so incredibly good. The naan and mango lassi were also great.

Onion Bhajis were the best we've ever had, we got the butter chicken which was so good, and the palak paneer very tasty. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good indian in berlin as can be hard to find

We were there spontaneously on a Friday evening and immediately got a seat outside. The food was very tasty, the price was absolutely right and the waiters were attentive and kind, recommended!

Last week on Friday, I had butter chicken at seven spices restaurant, it's amazing, so delicious butter chicken, I came with my friend, he had lamm seven spices, it was also too good, we ate also butter naan , so soft to eat, and service was good and fast. I recommend this place to everyone

The first time I went here, I enjoyed the food and my experience. The second time I went here, I got the chicken korma and I found it utterly disgusting, sickly sweet, sweeter than a dessert, and pale yellow; and when I called back about it, they just argued back with me that "chicken korma is sweet!" and then hung up on me. overall it's probably a fine place to eat, but I was pretty unhappy with my experience this time around

We ordered the Butter Chicken, advertised as a “signature dish,” and Shahi Paneer. Both dishes tasted good, but the butter chicken was a bit too sweet. If you want to test the level of an Indian restaurant, you can order some naan with it, and here the limitations of the craftsmanship unfortunately became obvious. Anyone expecting a crispy, fluffy flatbread would be disappointed. What's not possible is the diarrhea that lasted for several days that the butter chicken caused. Overall, Seven Spices is a solid, inexpensive Indian restaurant in a functional location, although deficiencies in hygiene must be taken into account.

I always go for the Madras (will blow your socks off) or the Vindaloo (so spicy and flavourful) - best Indian food Ive had in Berlin

The location is rather inconspicuous, but the food is very tasty. Nice and courteous service. We'd love to come back.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend of Indian origin who goes here regularly to pick up food. The tandoori mixed grill is really good and the portion is big. It was for and sizzling! There were mixed pieces of chicken, meat, shrimps and minced meat. We also had the butter chicken and lamb madras. The chicken breast pieces were soft, tender and succulent. The madras lamb dish, we asked it to be extra spicy. It was and it was delicious. We also had the Mango lassie which may have been the best one we had in Berlin so far. Staff are friendly and nice and the make sure the food is good and take your feedback seriously. We're going again to taste more dishes.

The three of us ate here for the first time last night and I would especially like to highlight the friendly service and the mixed tandoori grill. It is definitely worth the price! The only thing that didn't convince us was the starters and we wouldn't order them again. The toilet could be made a little more comfortable, but I would recommend this restaurant at any time.

Extremely friendly staff and delicious food. Sehr gut!!! I started with samosas, then ordered the Chicken Madras with butter naan. The naan was so fresh and the madras had the perfect amount of spice. I couldn’t stop eating. The meal would’ve been incomplete without getting gulab jamun. Always the perfect.

Remarkably well eaten with the seven foods! The restaurant is not large, but the chef is excellent and the service friendly and prompt. The Seven Spices Biryani was very impressively presented and the rest of our table also enjoyed it. We eat very regularly in Indian restaurants in many cities and countries; this one is remarkable and absolutely recommended👍

Authentic and super friendly staff. The food was really good. I highly recommend the mango chicken, it's sensational! The restaurant is relatively inconspicuous on Grünberger Straße toward Ostbahnhof, but it's definitely worth a visit.

Excellent food, really rich of spices. You should ask if a dish is spicy though, many are spicy without the menu telling you so. Nice staff also. Cocktails are quite good too.

Super delicious food, very attentive and warm service. At lunchtime there is also a small, inexpensive lunch menu. In the evening there are delicious and more than fair cocktails. We are very pleased that this restaurant and its team have been part of our neighborhood for some time and we are always happy to come back.

Good selection of food, very realistic prices. We had several dishes to try and it all felt very authentic. Clearly tasty ingredients, very balanced seasoning, really good. Friendly and good service, the “emergency raita” also came very quickly. Note: If it says “spicy” on the menu, it means “spicy” and not “slightly more seasoned”. We'll definitely be back.

We went into the store because we've often seen it packed. The restaurant looked to us like a “typical Indian restaurant in Germany”. We were very surprised that the food tasted much more intense and better than in other Indian restaurants in Fhain, where it is also delicious, but lacks something special. The service was very courteous and lovely. Thank you very much, we look forward to our next visit :)

Place off the beaten track where you will be quiet and find a free table. The food is very good, plentiful, the people welcoming. I recommend one of the specialties: the 7-spice biyriani, a mound of flavors.

Excellent food, I've come back for my favourite chicken palak several times now. Spicy food will be served for european palate, but you will receive the original indian spice levels upon request. Highly recommend this location.

I had dinner there with friends yesterday. It was incredibly tasty, the service was friendly, the prices were fair and there was as much rice as you needed (at no extra charge). From now on I'll only go here. Super!

A small, simple eatery. The food was excellent, well seasoned. The lamb tandoori was tender and very plentiful, the lentil soup was excellently seasoned. The very nice service rounded off the stay.

One of the few indian restaurants in Berlin where the food was very authentic, really enjoyed their Chilli Paneer and other dishes. The staff is quite friendly. We had a great time.

We expected a great experience from this restaurant, given the very high ratings, but I have to admit that I was disappointed. We waited a very long time for our food. When it arrived, the dishes were nicely presented, but the food was more expensive and not as good as other Indian restaurants I’ve been to in Berlin.

I went here after reading the other reviews. I have to say it was the nicest indian food I have eaten in a long time. The resturant is a little out of the way. But worth the trek. It about 10 minutes walk from Frankfurter Tor metro station. The resturant is small, with seating for about 40 guests. I was lucky that I went early in the evening, as it filled up quite quickly after I arrived. Always a good sign. The staff were very friendly and spoke english, which was great, as my german isn't the best. I had the butter chicken and it was delicious. The chicken was tender, the sauce smooth and tomatoey, with a hint of spice. The rice was fluffy and light. The soft butter naan was perfect for cleaning the serving bowl. If you're looking for some good quality indian food, at very reasonable prices. Then do yourself a favour and visit this fine place while visiting Berlin. Every year, just before Christmas, I come to visit friends in Berlin. It’s 2024 and I’ve just visited Seven Spices again, as I do every Christmas. The food is still amazing. If you’re in Berlin. It’s well worth a visit.
