Seven Spices Indian Cuisine in Berlin

I went here after reading the other reviews. I have to say it was the nicest indian food I have eaten in a long time. The resturant is a little out of the way. But worth the trek. It about 10 minutes walk from Frankfurter Tor metro station. The resturant is small, with seating for about 40 guests. I was lucky that I went early in the evening, as it filled up quite quickly after I arrived. Always a good sign. The staff were very friendly and spoke english, which was great, as my german isn't the best. I had the butter chicken and it was delicious. The chicken was tender, the sauce smooth and tomatoey, with a hint of spice. The rice was fluffy and light. The soft butter naan was perfect for cleaning the serving bowl. If you're looking for some good quality indian food, at very reasonable prices. Then do yourself a favour and visit this fine place while visiting Berlin. Every year, just before Christmas, I come to visit friends in Berlin. It’s 2024 and I’ve just visited Seven Spices again, as I do every Christmas. The food is still amazing. If you’re in Berlin. It’s well worth a visit.

The food was really delicious and the team at Seven Spices is very friendly. The waiters try to make sure you get everything you want and recommend and explain the dishes. A great and cozy little restaurant. Every effort is made here to ensure that you have a great evening.

this is the one - best indian food in berlin. I've tried a dozen or more indian restaurnts in the city, ranging from awful to very good, but this one tops them all. The food actually tastes authentic indian, as much as is possible for germany at least. It's aromatic, even if not super spicy, nothing is bland. *that* taste is there. Service is nice, cocktails are also good. It may not be the cheapest option available, but isn't it better to pay a few euro more for food that actually tastes amazing than be left unsatisfied after eating stale food for the sake of saving a small amount of money? I can only recommend the place - and especially the biryani.

One of the best experiences I've had in any restaurant. It's a cozy small place, so do try to make reservations. Service was very friendly and involved, checking in regularly to see if our needs were met without being overbearing. The food was incredible and the prices cannot be beat. They do not undercut the use of spices. This doesn't mean all the food is spicy, but it is all very fragerant and authentic. I had the chicken madras which is one of the spicier dishes if you have it 'Indian spicy', will gladly burn my mouth again 10/10.

I visited this place on Friday evening. Being a weekend it was very busy. Food was great and staff were welcoming. We ordered chicken madras, lamb palak, garlic naan. Amazing!!

Authentic Indian food with really friendly customer service. It's become my go to Indian restaurant now. I recommend to try the Chicken Madras and Shahi Paneer.

The food is good and probably some of the most authentic Indian food in the neighborhood. They have seats inside and outside and they accept both card and cash (the latter being strongly requested). Service can be a bit slow or they were just understaffed on the day we were there

Prices! I'm getting tired of being ripped off. Bhatura doesn't have to cost 3.70. I would have liked to eat there again. But I don't want to be taken advantage of like that. Dishes are definitely completely overpriced.

Overpriced for the value/ amount. 15€ for a vegan/vegetarian dish. Other Indian restaurants offer a lower price and even appetizer and salad. Ambience was not cozy. Waiter was friendly.

We went because there was nothing nearby. However, the restaurant was a very positive surprise. The Hyderabadi Biryani was well seasoned, spicy with tender meat. Even the soup was an interesting surprise, because it had a much richer taste and you could feel some sourness in it. The restaurant decor is very cafeteria-like.

The reviews are really misleading for this place. The food was below average at best and it smelled weird. Service took a long time and the place itself isn't great.

Everything was great - the Chicken Tikka Tandoori too, just a lot. And not to the delight of the nice shop owner, a man - according to the shop owner - had been sitting there for 2 hours . He used and transformed the toilet into a nasal desert landscape.

A nice Indian restaurant in one of the busy parts of the city. Very well connected with public transportation. There is street parking available right in front. We ordered a few items. Starters: samosa, chicken pakora and tea. Samosa and tea was ok. But the chicken pakora was excellent. It tasted very authentic. Portions were more than average. Main course: we ordered seven spices briyani, Doremon mango chicken, garlic naan and palak chicken. Out of all items palak chicken was excellent. The rest was above average. We didn't try any desert, maybe next time. Definitely a recommended place to try some Indian food here.

We always enjoy coming back to Seven Spices. Definitely our favorite restaurant when it comes to Indian cuisine in Berlin. Service and atmosphere are always top and very friendly, regardless of whether it is a small or large group.

We were 6 people,one was vegetarian and we had booked ahead. The restaurant is very friendly and the dishes were all freshly cooked and spicy,tasty and delicious. Particularly friendly staff from Kerala. Recommended, off the busy Warschauer strasse.

Good food, but the owner led us to believe that we would wait 10-15 min for a table and we ended up waiting for over an hour outside in the cold. We then had to eat in a rush. This dishonesty is unacceptable.

Best curry in Berlin - absolutely banging. Proper spicy, which is always lacking in Germany. Amazing food, great service and if you’re lucky they’ll make you something not even on the menu if you know your curry and they have the ingredients available. Great place.
