Delicious food for a good price and great atmosphere

We came here for the first time a year ago. They treated us to Mango lassi. Tried it for the first time and really liked it. The atmosphere, food and service are at the highest level... we wish the staff of this cafe more visitors, and visitors to have a good time here.

Large portions. Mango Chicken is highly recommended. The chicken curry is slightly spicy. Overall the food could be a little hotter. It tastes okay, but it's nothing special. The staff there was very nice and brings the food to the table when it's ready.

You can not scam your way through by asking people to rate you 5 stars for free drinks — food is actually below average quality, the ratings are just fake …

So compared to famous Indian restaurants in the city, this is unfortunately not an option! The food was lukewarm, the butter chicken was quite tough! And well, in terms of taste, it's always up to interpretation. But the Bathura that you can buy for €1.80 was extremely hard and also smelled fermented. When asked about it, the staff just laughed and shrugged their shoulders and said that it was just the way it was! I won't eat there again… Too bad

It felt that they literally bribe people for 5 star review. You will see a printed card on there shop that says give 5 star review and get free mango smoothy! Also, I felt there food is too tangy, not sure if it was old and they added sourness to hide that.

The food was too sour for me, I never know how old it is because of the extreme taste of vinegar. They also publicly asks for a five star review in return of a mango lacchi, which seemed very unethical to me.

The food quality was below average – bland and lacking freshness. What’s worse, they offer a free mango lassi in exchange for a 5-star Google review, which feels very unethical to me.

They lied about that Mango Lassi drink, so basically if you gave them five stars on google they would give you a free drink, i showed the waiter that i did indeed give them five stars, he told me he's going to bring my drink soon, he didn't. He just stayed behind the counter for thirty minutes and did nothing, i went and asked about he just laughed it off and said "It's coming later." mind you, we also ordered food from them which i ain't going to lie, it was good. I'm just mad at how they treated us, especially making fun of us on how they thought we couldn't eat something as spicy as a chicken curry, when i told him that we can tolerate spice pretty well and that the curry chicken wasn't spicy in my opinion they laughed and said "Are you sure? You don't look like someone who could enjoy it all bc it's spicy." the food was good, their attitude was not. I have edited my review and took down the five stars i gave them because they do not deserve them. Food was pretty good, attitude and service was not.

There is good Indian food here, served quickly, the staff is friendly.

In general it's worth a visit. The chicken is tender and the sauce is well seasoned (you can do without the balsamic sauce on the salad, it has no place in Indian cuisine). During my last visit, however, I noticed that the portion of rice was quite meager, which I also reported to the service, for which he simply apologized. Just under 11 euros and you won't be full! The plates of the people sitting next to us, on the other hand, were well filled with rice. Is there a double standard here, depending on which service person is serving? Unbelievable and annoying.

!!! Für 5-Sterne-Bewertungen gibt es einen kostenlosen Mango-Lassi, was manche Bewertung beeinflussen dürfte!!! Indischer Imbiss. Die Hauptkomponenten werden lange warmgehalten und sind damit nur bedingt frisch. Den Geschmack fand ich untere Mittelklasse. Bathura war eher zäh als knusprig.

Wer im Schloss Steglitz ist, und gerne indisches Essen mag, sollte sich hier etwas holen. Das Essen ist super lecker und frisch. Das Personal ist freundlich und das Essen wird sogar an den Tisch gebracht. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Essen total langweilig und geschmacklos. Mangolassi extrem wässrig. Einfach der McDonals unter den Indischen Restaurants. Nicht Hingehen, wenn ihr gut essen wollt. Der Laden gibt dir eine gratis Mangolassi gegen eine 5Sterne Bewertung, dadurch kommen die guten Bewertungen. So kommen weder objektive Rezensionen zustande, noch haben sie es dann nötig Wert auf Qualität zu legen.

Wer lust auf gutes Essen hat, welches sehr schnell serviert ist und dazu noch echt gut schmeckt ist hier genau richtig. Hab den Laden durch die Bewertungen gefunden und sie Stimmen, das Essen schmeckt hiet wirklich sehr gut, ich kann die Nummer 11 wirklich empfehlen. War hier nicht das letzte mal.

Schon mehrmals hier gegessen und immer zufrieden gewesen. Sehr leckeres Essen. Besonders das Chicken dort. Ob nun Butter Chicken, oder Korma. Super lecker. Sehr günstig und netter Service.

Nettes freundliches Ambiente im Foodcort vom Einkaufszentrum "Das Schloss".

Das Essen hat eine angenehme Schärfe, die Portionen sind groß und Preis ist fair. Der Service ist freundlich und die Atmosphäre obwohl mitten im EKZ gut.

Chicken Korma und Lamm Kokos sind schon mal der Hit - aber mit Mango Lassi - bisher unübertroffen! Wir kommen gern her, wenn Berlin uns wieder ruft. Gut, das es MAHAL auch in Hamburg gibt. 😋 Dafür kann MAHAL nichts: (deshalb trotzdem 5 Sterne) Ambiente ist zwar schöner gemacht worden, doch die endgültige Gemütlichkeit fehlt. Und die mehrfach Musikbeschallung zusammen mit der von Peter Pane ist unangemessen.
