What a lovely surprise! We were shopping at the Schloss shopping center for the first time and ate here. At €10-11 per dish, it was really affordable and tasted absolutely delicious. 👍👍 Thank you so much! A tip: be sure to order the fresh bread for €2. It's so tasty and fluffy.

The food quality was really poor. Almost immediately after eating, I got a stomach ache, and I am sure something unusual like baking soda or baking powder was used in the food.The Butter Chicken had no spice or flavor at all it was just watery sauce, chicken, and red coloring.During the meal, I asked a staff member whether the food was fresh, and I received a very rude and disrespectful response. After I finished the food, I mentioned again that the dish didn’t seem natural and that I was experiencing stomach pain. The seller’s reaction was extremely unprofessional; he said, “Why did you eat it? You should have thrown it away.” Now, while writing this review, I genuinely feel sick because of this food. Neither the food quality nor the staff’s behavior matches the 4.8-star rating on Google. This was a very bad experience, and I do not recommend this place at all.

I'd give it 3.5 stars, but because of the free drink (mango lassi), I'm giving it less (as a correction) than a 5-star rating. The food was okay, but for €11 you can get better Indian food in Berlin! The free drink offer is a bit of a scam; it's definitely skewing the reviews...

We ordered No. 2, Mango Chicken. The rice and chicken were very soft, which my companion and I really enjoyed. The sauce was also a bit spicy, but incredibly delicious. More vegetables would have been nice, especially tomatoes and cucumbers, but that's not a bad thing! The vegetables were fresh, by the way!

Average mild and flat taste food

Greasy doesn't even begin to describe it... The grease ran right off my spoon, delicious.... The service also leaves something to be desired – I couldn't get paneer cheese on my curry "that only works if I'm sitting there." All right. I won't be back.

Very tasty food right in the heart of Steglitz - Zehlendorf! We were served and welcomed in a very friendly manner, the food was inexpensive and the atmosphere was extremely pleasant! Mango Chicken offered a pure explosion of flavor with a tongue-in-cheek twist! We can recommend this wonderful snack bar to anyone looking for good and fairly priced Indian food in Steglitz.

We came here for the first time a year ago. They treated us to Mango lassi. Tried it for the first time and really liked it. The atmosphere, food and service are at the highest level... we wish the staff of this cafe more visitors, and visitors to have a good time here.

Large portions. Mango Chicken is highly recommended. The chicken curry is slightly spicy. Overall the food could be a little hotter. It tastes okay, but it's nothing special. The staff there was very nice and brings the food to the table when it's ready.

You can not scam your way through by asking people to rate you 5 stars for free drinks — food is actually below average quality, the ratings are just fake …

So compared to famous Indian restaurants in the city, this is unfortunately not an option! The food was lukewarm, the butter chicken was quite tough! And well, in terms of taste, it's always up to interpretation. But the Bathura that you can buy for €1.80 was extremely hard and also smelled fermented. When asked about it, the staff just laughed and shrugged their shoulders and said that it was just the way it was! I won't eat there again… Too bad

It felt that they literally bribe people for 5 star review. You will see a printed card on there shop that says give 5 star review and get free mango smoothy! Also, I felt there food is too tangy, not sure if it was old and they added sourness to hide that.

The food was too sour for me, I never know how old it is because of the extreme taste of vinegar. They also publicly asks for a five star review in return of a mango lacchi, which seemed very unethical to me.

They lied about that Mango Lassi drink, so basically if you gave them five stars on google they would give you a free drink, i showed the waiter that i did indeed give them five stars, he told me he's going to bring my drink soon, he didn't. He just stayed behind the counter for thirty minutes and did nothing, i went and asked about he just laughed it off and said "It's coming later." mind you, we also ordered food from them which i ain't going to lie, it was good. I'm just mad at how they treated us, especially making fun of us on how they thought we couldn't eat something as spicy as a chicken curry, when i told him that we can tolerate spice pretty well and that the curry chicken wasn't spicy in my opinion they laughed and said "Are you sure? You don't look like someone who could enjoy it all bc it's spicy." the food was good, their attitude was not. I have edited my review and took down the five stars i gave them because they do not deserve them. Food was pretty good, attitude and service was not.

There is good Indian food here, served quickly, the staff is friendly.

In general it's worth a visit. The chicken is tender and the sauce is well seasoned (you can do without the balsamic sauce on the salad, it has no place in Indian cuisine). During my last visit, however, I noticed that the portion of rice was quite meager, which I also reported to the service, for which he simply apologized. Just under 11 euros and you won't be full! The plates of the people sitting next to us, on the other hand, were well filled with rice. Is there a double standard here, depending on which service person is serving? Unbelievable and annoying.

Ausgezeichnetes indisches Essen im urigen Lichthof des Steglitzer Schlosses. Personal sehr nett, zugewandt und hilfsbereit. Beim nächsten Einkauf planen wir garantiert einen Stopp im Mahal ein.

!!! Für 5-Sterne-Bewertungen gibt es einen kostenlosen Mango-Lassi, was manche Bewertung beeinflussen dürfte!!! Indischer Imbiss. Die Hauptkomponenten werden lange warmgehalten und sind damit nur bedingt frisch. Den Geschmack fand ich untere Mittelklasse. Bathura war eher zäh als knusprig.

Wer im Schloss Steglitz ist, und gerne indisches Essen mag, sollte sich hier etwas holen. Das Essen ist super lecker und frisch. Das Personal ist freundlich und das Essen wird sogar an den Tisch gebracht. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Großartiger platz. Habe hier öfters nach der Schule gegessen, hat mein tag verschönert.

Aufpassen, wenn man zum mitnehmen bestellt bekommt man nicht das ganze Menü zahlt aber trotzdem den vollen Preis.
