Sesam Restaurant in Hannover

I was eating with a friend and there was a caterpillar on his plate. The hygiene in this restaurant is really bad. Also the waiters are very rude and if you say something you have to repeat it twice. I will definitely never eat here again!

There was a caterpillar in the food we ordered. It's a very bad experience and bad tradesmanship. I don't recommend anyone to eat from here.

The food tastes really, really good but when we came in we had to look for seats for 15 minutes because there are far too few tables and chairs but there are a lot of visitors, which I don't think is a good thing. The shop should be made bigger if you notice that you're getting far too many visitors. When we found a place it was dirty, all the food from the previous visitors was still there and the service is extremely slow. When a blonde woman finally came after 10 minutes, she was extremely annoyed and simply threw the menus at us. Every table should have a menu and they had maybe 4 in the entire store

My husband and I have been regular guests at Sesam for 6 years - until yesterday. We have had a small, calm dog for 3 months and we have eaten there with him a few times without any problems. However, yesterday we were asked to leave the restaurant on the grounds that dogs were not allowed there. We were offered to eat outside - not an option for us given the current weather conditions. Instead, we went to the nearby competition, where we received a friendly welcome and our dog was warmly welcomed. There we easily got a table for “two and a half people”. We are very disappointed with Sesame. One thing is certain for us: In the future, we, our family and friends with dogs will prefer restaurants where dogs are welcome. We advise dog owners to also look for a more hospitable alternative.

We ate there for the second time today, the food was poor, the meat was totally dry, I think a waiter should be able to speak German and know what's on the menu, and there's a woman who works there who is so unfriendly and doesn't have a smile on her face. You weren't even greeted welcomed. Our last visit there is absolutely not recommended. I think when you prepare food you should pay attention to hygiene. I found a hair on my food. Table wasn't clean. You had the feeling of being in a snack bar not in a restaurant.

My visit to Sesame Restaurant was a big disappointment. The shop is extremely poorly ventilated - windows and doors remain closed, so that the unpleasant smell of coal and barbecue builds up throughout the room. The result: a stuffy and uncomfortable atmosphere. What was particularly annoying was that my clothes still smelled of smoke the next day. In addition, the service leaves a lot to be desired. There is a noticeable lack of politeness and attention towards the guests. Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable in the catering industry. In this situation, I cannot recommend the Sesam restaurant under any circumstances. There is an urgent need for action here!

I don't know how to say this, well the iskender tastes very good, the thing is simple when you go to sesame on the street it smells like lamb and he asks do I want the iskender with lamb and I say of course I want it with lamb and It was really tasty with the tomato sauce and the yogurt was great but the meat just didn't taste like lamb, it was really good and the iskender was on the table after 5 minutes and you You can get free bread if you want💌but maybe make it twice as much lamb fat on the skewer. then you get 5 stars from me 🐑 Thanks for the delicious food❤️next time more lamb

Very tasty food and very accommodating hosts. Special requests are happy to be fulfilled. The price is also absolutely reasonable. You'll be happy to come back there.

We ordered tavuksis once and tantuni once. The food was very tasteless. The meat was manageably small and not at all tasty...unseasoned and no love in the taste. The bulgur and the salad are bland and clumsy. 17 euros for something like that is outrageous!! The tantuni weren't convincing either. It smells delicious and fresh, but what we ate here was all different. Unfortunately never again!! The staff was very nice, but unfortunately that wasn't enough to satisfy your hunger.

The service was remarkable. The staff was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. Our order was taken quickly and we didn't have to wait long for our food, which is always a plus. And now for the most important part - the food! The selection of kebab dishes is impressive and offers something for every taste. I chose the classic doner kebab and it was an excellent choice. The meat was juicy and perfectly seasoned, the sides were fresh and crunchy, and the bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Every ingredient harmonized wonderfully with each other and created a taste experience that is second to none.

This restaurant has deteriorated extremely. As a German you now feel absolutely unwelcome there. While the tables with oriental guests are served with the finest food first, as a German you are treated in a totally derogatory manner by the staff. Cards and food are slapped on the table. Portions are many times smaller than at the next table. Lahmacun with kebab came without kebab. Upon request, there were 3 tablespoons of kebab meat on a cake plate for an additional charge of 4 euros. No apology - just clapped in annoyance. No bread basket for Germans to eat. After that you are ignored. We waited 20 minutes to finally be able to pay. I used to come here almost every week. From now on I will go to restaurants where I am welcome as a German.

Came across this restaurant by chance. Simply mega. Fresh food. You can watch the chefs preparing food. Everything is fresh and the taste is simply delicious. Been here twice now and wasn't disappointed.

My friend and I went there and we didn't like it at all. The kebab had a very strange, disgusting aftertaste, the man behind the counter has several tongs at his disposal but uses one to get into all the salad containers, 2 chairs and part of the bench were damaged (at least the upholstery of it). The only thing that was a little pleasant was that the young woman who was there asked us if we wanted something to drink, but otherwise I am absolutely disappointed in this shop with this rating.

Not recommendable. A blonde waitress, very unfriendly, slaps the cards in front of your nose, talks unfriendly, simply no service. Doner kebab is also bad, I said it 3 times without red cabbage, it had more red cabbage in it than I have no idea what. Very poorly distributed at the bottom was all the meat and the salad was at the top. The sauce had nothing to do with tzatziki. You can't complain about the men behind the scenes but that's the only positive thing. Was my first and last visit.

Lively shop with extremely friendly service. The kebab is simple but good, especially the quality of the meat. The skewers are really cool, they have a real charcoal taste. Salads are also great, as is bread.

Very unpleasant experience on a Saturday evening. I came in with two fellow students late on a Saturday evening after placing a Too Good to Go order. Since it still took 20 minutes until I could redeem the code, I ordered a portion of Tantuni for €9. I received 3 very small rolls of flatbread with primarily onions and a very small amount of meat. A friendly greeting was in vain. So far not so good, it was finally time for the Too Good to Go order. Their profile mentioned kebab meat, but this remained just a dream. All they said was "no kebab meat, no" and I was fobbed off with two portions of inedible soup, which, judging by the taste, had already seen the turn of the century. The highlight, however, was that we were not allowed to eat the soup in the restaurant, despite the fact that we were already sitting at the table with the food we ordered normally. We were ultimately dismissed with the words that this was not possible.

Sehr gutes Essen. Service könnte ein bisschen besser sein,der Laden wahr natürlich auch sehr voll. Da würde halt mal was vergessen. Es wurde sie aber dann entsprechend entschuldigt. Und damit ist es von unserer Seite auch ok.

Das Essen war lecker. Bedienung war trotz hohem Andrang sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Der Tee zum Schluss war sehr gut. Einziger "kleiner" Kritikpunkt war der Geruch im Flur vor den Toiletten. Trotzdem, wenn wir nochmal in Hannover sind kommen wir wieder hier hin.

Die Lamm Spieße waren genauso Klasse wie der Reis. Wenn ich unbedingt was kritisieren soll... Der Salat hätte etwas vielfältiger sein können aber das ist jammern auf hohem Niveau. Danke ich komme gerne wieder.

Wir waren vor 2 Wochen auf der Durchreise hier im Sesam Restaurant essen und können die meist sehr positiven Bewertungen nicht wirklich nachvollziehen. Das Ambiente ist eher überschaubar und das Essen war bei uns nun wirklich keine Besonderheit. Schade
