Quite tasty in itself, but the price is too high for the quality. You can do it. Next time I'm expecting an ouzo at the Greek!

Unfortunately, the prices of the dishes were too high for what we ordered because the portions we received were very small. Otherwise we were more or less satisfied. My previous review (3 stars with similar content) was blocked for "defamation". I assume that they probably wanted to remove the “worse” reviews. I am therefore giving a new rating, but with one star deducted. If this review is removed again, I can also reduce it to one star. After all, other guests have a right to honest reviews and opinions.

Beautiful restaurant on the banks of the Leine next to the Lower Saxony state parliament. Stylishly furnished, great service, very good cuisine at fair prices. Again and again! Highly recommended!!

Beautifully located and totally nice and attractively furnished outside and inside. The first irritation right at the beginning: If you want to sit outside, you won't be seated, but instead have to choose a free table. I find it extremely unpleasant when you're competing for tables with other guests who arrive at the same time. We then waited more than an hour for our food, while neighboring tables that arrived later had already eaten. The apology came, but rather half-heartedly. In general, you didn't see much of the service. Food mediocre: rice and meat tasted average. At the end there is the sudden request that you want to cash in. Without offering a dessert menu or anything similar and of course further justification. It will probably stay with just one visit.

Authentic Greek food, good view of Liene. A pretty vibrant ambience, good customer service. Vegetarian mains options are minimal, Lamm and Fisch are good.

Im ARESTO wurden wir noch nie enttäuscht. Das Fleisch schmeckt uns immer sehr gut und auch der Lachs war frisch und hervorragend zubereitet. Tolles Salatbuffet! Es ist zwar etwas teurer als beim „Griechen um die Ecke“ - aber das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt einfach. Wenn man draußen sitzt, kann man sogar die Surfer auf der Leinewelle beobachten.

Great location and nice decor. The service staff was very friendly. It wasn't particularly busy but the waiting time was still quite long at over an hour. The food was ok, but unfortunately nothing more. We were disappointed with the starter plate as it consisted exclusively of dips/creams. We've had much better Greek food and at a much lower price. There was bulgur with the gyros, but unfortunately it didn't taste good. With fries there is an extra 5.50 euros. Price performance doesn't fit here.

Disappointing service despite a nice location We visited the restaurant today, on a Sunday, and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. While most guests sat outside, we decided to sit inside. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a mistake as the service was absolutely poor. The waiters seemed to completely ignore us and we had to actively draw attention to ourselves every time to even be served. The friendliness of the staff also left a lot to be desired. The food itself was OK, but definitely nothing special. Unfortunately, the meat was completely cooked through and therefore no longer juicy. After this experience, we skipped dessert because it just took too long for someone to come to our table - our patience was at an end. It's a shame, because the location of the restaurant is really nice and promising. Unfortunately, the poor service severely spoiled the overall impression.

We went here for dinner with the family. The food was simply perfect from the starter to the lamb plate to the dessert. Thank you also for the wine cellar tour! We will definitely come back on our next visit to Hanover.

A total of 7 people visited the Aresto restaurant. The group included a wheelchair user and a person with a walker. The service was great and unique. People with disabilities were also welcome in the Aresto restaurant. Unfortunately, access is not barrier-free. But here we immediately got help going up and down the stairs. The friendly waitress immediately organized help and was also empathetic to the guests with disabilities. We were amazed 😲 how cool we were helped there. We ate and drank something there. I was at Aresto Essen a few days ago with my wife and children, the service and the quality of the food were great. I can recommend it to everybody.

Service at the end with a long waiting time and ignorance

The restaurant is in a great location, right on the banks of the Leine, it is super idyllic and romantic. The service was ok, it always took a while to get someone's attention, despite the restaurant being quite empty. The food was ok, solidly cooked, not extravagant. Only one piece of the chicken skewer was a little too pink on the inside. Prices are really ok. But it's all fresh. The calamari are not frozen goods.

Just perfect. High quality food, attentive unobtrusive service. The interior and terrace are very attractive. And not to forget, very, very tasty 😋 Thank you for the lovely evening.

Actually it is very nice place, nicely decorated inside and outside. The waiter who served us seemed a bit annoyed, maybe it was because it was a very busy day because it was very busy. I really enjoyed the food, but unfortunately an hour later I got a terrible stomach ache and spent the rest of the day in the bathroom :(

In der Altstadt Hannovers an der „Leinewelle“ gelegen. Wir haben schon mehrmals im Aresto gespeist, das Essen war immer lecker. Besonders empfehlen können wir das mit Käse gefüllte Rindfleischbifteki und das schottische Lammfleisch. Gutes Salatbuffet! Achtung: Wenn an der Leinewelle eine Veranstaltung stattfindet, kann es bei geöffneten Fenstern im Restaurant zu Lärmbelästigung kommen.

We spontaneously went for lunch and came across the “Aresto” by chance. As soon as we were greeted and entered this beautiful restaurant, we were thrilled. The location is ideal on the banks of the Leine and we look forward to being able to sit outside in the summer. We can only describe the culinary offerings in one word: legendary! Samir's service was great and we can recommend Aresto as one of the most beautiful Greek restaurants in Hanover.

A restaurant with flair and delicious food. Our fish was on point. And the service staff were mostly very friendly and attentive. The only point of criticism: at the end we specifically chose a fruit brandy from the Ziegler brand (with a decent price). A waiter who had previously been less approachable had someone else brought to us without asking. The other waiter apologized for that. We drank it anyway, although we would have been better off refusing the brandy. A quick question would have been appropriate.
